Mount Magazine Lodge

Me and the wifey got a long room for a stay cation. The room we got had a jacuzzi tub in it that fit both of us (I'm a tall and big guy) every room of the lodge has an amazing view of the mountain overlook. Some of the rooms like ours have balconies and the view is beutiful. Heaven on earth. Service was amazing, on site restaurant that is amazing, indoor heated pool and hot tub are, have room, and fitness room. All for an affordable price because it's run by the state park system. You have to stay here if you enjoy mountain get aways, romantic getaways, and state park hiking and trails.

First visit here and didn't know what to expect. Grown son and Mom trip First of all, there was still snow and ice on the ground from the weird storm that came through Arkansas and Louisiana. So we got a winter wonderland feel. We didn't make reservations because I wasn't sure if we would stay here. Check in was easy. Since we were there during off peak time we didn't have to contend with large groups of people. We stayed Tues, Wednesday, and checked out on Thursday. I had all these plans to run around to Crystal Bridges, etc ... But, it was so peaceful here and we just chilled . My car never left the parking lot. The restaurant food was delicious. Open 7am to 9pm. The staff was amazing. We were in room 316. Two queen beds. The balcony has a sliding screen and door. The view was so pretty, and the stars at night, wow. Again, we went during the cold season. The hiking trails had ice on them , so no hiking during our visit. The pool was heated,the hot tub was relaxing, and they have towels available at the pool area . There are vending machines, a small gift shop, staff on site in the lodge 24/7. They have cabins that looked nice. Definitely private. I was able to view a suite room. It only had a king bed and a pull out couch. We like two beds. They also have decent TV channels. Plenty of channels to entertain little ones at the end of the day. And there was a game room. You have to get quarters for the games.The change machine takes $1, $5 . Or you can get change at the front desk No complaints. Loved our visit and will return again when it snows or is super cold on a weekday.

Really enjoyed our stay at Mount Magazine Lodge. The sunrise views alone made the trip worth it. The room was comfortable, the lodge was peaceful, and the staff was friendly and attentive. Breakfast at the restaurant was consistently good, and the whole property is perfect for a quiet getaway. Highly recommended.

Breathtaking views, the lodge itself is rustic and cozy. All employees from check in to restaurant were very friendly. Hotel room spacious and clean. My only suggestion for guests is to reserve 3rd floor. Best view from balcony but great views everywhere you look. My only suggestion for the hotel room itself would be to add crackling electric fireplaces. Even without that feature, this place is spectacular, and I will be back!

Absolutely beautiful, Front desk service was sassy but the restaurant service was great . Definitely come check it out and bring the family , rooms are nice and the view is priceless, the pool and hot tub was excellent, shout out to the maintenance crew ! There doing a great job , got the place really looking nice and from what I used on our stay everything was working as it should, grounds were clean and the fixtures had excellent water pressure .

First vacation in over 6+ years. Stayed in Suite 320. It has two balconies, 1 in the living room and 1 in the bedroom. The views are spectacular. But you are paying $360 a night for the views bc within the suite is some of the most uncomfortable furniture. The kitchen table wobbles, the living room couch and chairs all sink 8+ inches when someone sits down. You'll begin to feel the boards sticking into your legs and behind if you sit more than 10 mins. The bed is a king size bed with a high hump in the center and two deep sunk in places on either side of that hump. We probably slept 3 hours the whole night. It was such a beautiful suite, but hardly worth the pain and discomfort it causes. Especially not worth $360 a night, not until there is new furniture in that suite. The whole experience was simply heart-breaking. We intended to stay Friday and Saturday night. But we left early Saturday morning between 5:30-6:00 AM bc we couldn't take it anymore. We didn't even stay to see the beautiful sunrise. We were and still are deeply saddened by our weekend stay that turned into an over-night failure.

Good for views of the valley below and as a base for hiking. Clean, but no daily housekeeping service. Somewhat dated; for example the king rooms have a hot tub in the corner of the bedroom, something I haven't seen since the last century. The dining room food service was terrible, and it's the only thing for miles. The food was very poor quality, rivaling that in a school cafeteria, and the service was excruciatingly slow even with only a handful of diners.

Pretty slow time of the year but I highly recommend! We like to hike and this is a place to get your fill! Great food! Excellent service, excellent accommodations!
