Mount of Beatitudes

This is an absolutely amazing place. Any Christian pilgrim will find this unforgettable. Contemplating the beatitudes as they are presented on the walk up to the church is very contemplative. The view is amazing and so peaceful. To think of the words of Jesus and how they can be relevant in our lives is a wonderful experience that can shape our faith deeply.

Beautiful views with a beautiful church. We were 50 members on a Holy Land tour and conducted Mass in one of the outdoor available places to do so. Definitely a must-do on a Holy Land tour!

Great place! So glad that I could come here on my dads 50th birthday for him to see where his favourite Sermon took place! The place is very nice and the gardens have been decorated beautifully in accordance to the words spoken around 2000 years ago! The only downfall is getting there, there isnt much signage and we ended up first going behind the church where the rubbish is kept.

I spent two hours in this beautiful garden and church. What a fantastic view on the lake. How peaceful and lovely decorated. Hopefully I will come back soon. I loved the atmosphere there although there were so many people all around. (February 2020)

There are a few Catholic churches built right on top of these locations that are beautiful and the people inside are very reverent. Walking trails around the church and buildings give multiple places where you could reflect, pray and study. The base of this location has a small snack bar with coffees, ice cream and other foods. The restrooms are paid restrooms - bring $1 if you need to use the facilities.

One of my favourite church in this area. Small and built with Mable stone. If you’re lucky, you may hear some people singing in the church.

Really enjoyed the Mount of Beatitudes area. The area is very peaceful and beautiful. It’s a great place to also enjoy the Sea of Galilee, even best when read the Beatitudes. Recommend you stroll around the back of the church in order to enjoy the view of the sea.
