"Nestled on stunning Vancouver Island, Canada's westernmost ski haven, Mount Washington boasts breathtaking views of Strathcona Provincial Park to the west and ocean views over the Strait of Georgia to the east. Although it may not be the most renowned resort, Mount Washington is celebrated for receiving one of the heaviest snowfalls in North America, with an impressive annual average of 457 inches. Most of the resort is great for beginners and families, but expert terrain can be found from the summits as well." - Jonny Bierman

Sick mountain. Some great runs coming off the top of the mountain here like West Basin and Top of the World Chutes. Definitely recommend those if you're an expert skier or snowboarder.

Love this mountain- especially on a powder day. All the terrain you need from beginner to expert. Friendly staff, never a long lift line.

Gorgeous hike and a lot of interesting flora and fauna. We watched a bear eating grass on the drive up the mountain, and arrived to find a great variety of trails. One is mostly boardwalk and easy for novices. The mountains are beautiful and as always, B.C. amazes me with the lack of biting insects on your outdoor hikes.

I love Mount Washington! I'm a skier, and I don't have a ton of experience, but there are plenty of runs I can do. The Hawk chairlift is best for beginners, and once you get comfortable on blue runs, you can go on the Eagle chairlift all the way to the top of the mountain and you'll have no trouble getting down. The staff in the main facility are friendly and very helpful. There is lots of space to get everything on before you head out on the mountain. Lots of excellent rental equipment is available. I took my first ski lesson at Mount Washington, and it brought me to the place where I was comfortable skiing, and the skills I learned have helped me to continue to grow as a skier. The mountain itself is beautiful, especially on a clear day. You can see so far, and all around the mountain! Mount Washington isn't particularly huge, but that means you can explore more of the mountain. I've also been to the mountain in September, and it's very beautiful with no snow on it as well. I highly recommend Mount Washington!

Once you're skiing, it can be good conditions and a beautiful hill. The experience to get up the hill trends towards a journey of hell. Vehicles that have no business climbing mountain roads sliding/stalling. Surprised, there hasn't been a serious accident on the road this year. Expect to be stuck on the road for an hour plus in moderate to heavy snow conditions. Parking lot is chaos with it filling up as cars roam around like predators looking for prey. No dedicated sidewalk for pedestrians as vehicles deke around skiers lugging their gear in boots. Surprised no one has been hit here either. Then there is the lodge. A cesspool of broken skier dreams as they search for elusive apres ski. You will instead find an experience resembling cramming skiers into a sardine can. Overall, I assume this corporation is keeping the profits and enjoying their child sweat shop of labour with promises of free passes...Which are insanely expensive. Desperately need an investment of infrastructure. Could be so much more.
