We stayed in a Two-Bedroom Chalet, which offered great value for money. Although the interiors are a little dated, everything was well maintained, clean, and functional. The kitchen was handy, the beds were comfy, and the atmosphere was peaceful and quiet. It’s conveniently located just outside Twizel and close to groceries and fuel stations—perfect for a stopover during a road trip. The check-in process was smooth, and we had no issues at all. The only minor point: the hot water took some fiddling to get just right, but it wasn't a deal-breaker. Would definitely stay again!

Really awesome Chalet Motels! stayed just one night, really comfortable bed, warm rooms too, the heat pump was needed, man it cold cold after the sun went down! Great frost the next morning too! Such a friendly welcome from the nice lady owner too! Stunning sunrise the next day too!

Room was a 3*** at best. Poor internet, only 6 tv channels and no streaming options, no tea towel or proper dishwasher cloth, only 1 towel for 3 beds. So we had to get a lot sorted once we arrived which was a pain. Great we could park right at our door. Fairly quiet area and no odours or mould and was clean. Comfortable bed with electric blankets which was appreciated. Wasn’t as cute as the website suggested but not expensive so can’t complain. Next time we’d stay in Lake Tekapo as Twizel was disappointing.

The reception is barely there. You need to buzz them. The carpets are dirty. The soap dispenser was not replaced in time for the next guest. Since the reception is far away from the detached motel, this made it very inconvenient. There is no heater, which made it freezing at night. The location does not have good eateries. Won’t recommend this place.

The chalet is very nice but insulation is not good. The heater is unable to warm the whole room. And the kitchen sink has 2 faucets. 1 for hot and 1 for cold.dont know how to use it to wash dishes. Either use very hot water or very cold water. No in between.

I stayed here one night as a base for Mt Cook adventures. It was one of the few affordable lodging options in the area. This is what I would call a basics hotel. It has everything you need, but the furnishings are definitely older and the rooms show their age. The rooms were clean, no complaints there, but it doesn't offer anything besides the basics. If you are looking for an affordable option, this will work just fine. If you have a little more money to spend and are looking for more comfort/amenities, you can definitely do better. I'd recommend this for a night if you are passing through.

Budget option for exploring Aoraki/Mt Cook. Separate “kitchenette” area with small fridge, microwave, sink and kettle. Flattest pillows and worst TV channels of our journey. No ice. Walkable to good cafe and market. ||Unit 11 doesn’t have the number written above doorway (unlike all other structures) but does have a washed out number on glass. You know it’s gonna be an average quality stay when you struggle to find your place, only to realize that the unit with a lot of broken curtain-pleats hanging at the entry, is “yours” :(

They provide electric blankets, however the ones in our room wasn’t working, we asked the reception for another one, and the lady from the front desk said they don’t have a spare, and the night should not be cold. Just for a future reference if the place provide something for the tourist, they should guarantee it works!! By law, the landlord is responsible for any utilities that doesn’t work, for a motel you need to have spare utilities to replace the broken ones. For a similar price range from other cities we’ve been to we had much much better sleeping situations. The floor was dirty; the plates weren’t cleaned, everything ******. Will not recommend staying here.
