A calm, nostalgic, and green hotel experience in Chiang Mai — spacious rooms, tranquil gardens, kind staff, and a touch of old charm, though not for those seeking modernity.
I stayed at this hotel for three nights. It’s a very pleasant and quiet place. The hotel itself isn’t exactly new and could use some renovation in places. If you’re after flawless order, ultra-modern design, and cutting-edge technology — this is definitely not the place for you.
However, the rooms are spacious, clearly furnished without any cost-cutting at the time, and feature huge panoramic windows opening onto balconies. There’s an abundance of greenery and a deeply meditative silence. The grounds feel like a large garden — countless plants, narrow winding paths, and lots of water. You’ll come across small sheds and various gardening tools here and there.
It actually reminded me of my grandmother’s garden — only this one is much larger. It felt like stepping back into childhood, a wonderful feeling, especially after living in a big city — that kind of peace is priceless.
The staff were very polite and always eager to help. Breakfasts were simple but quite tasty — you could tell the team put in effort, even though one day I was almost the only guest there. Later, more people arrived again.
The only downside is that the hotel is a bit far from the old town. On the bright side, there’s an incredibly beautiful botanical garden within walking distance. Next time I’m in Chiang Mai, I’ll definitely stay here again.
