I spent 10 days at the establishment before heading up to Pai for a week and will be spending another 10 days on my way back past. Rooms are spacious with a relaxing and tranquil vibe, the beds are extremely comfortable, doors to balcony have dual blackout curtains which keep the room extremely dark for a sensational sleep. Staff and owners are extremely nice and relaxed always on deck to help with your needs and wants! Highly recommend mountain creek resort to anyone and everyone.

I think it's what you can expect in a 3 star establishment. It's older, but has the charm, albeit somewhat rundown. The plus for us was they allow dogs for a small additional fee so we could bring our boy with us. 3 stars on room due to hard mattress and single pillow for sleeping, even after requesting additional at reception, a rain shower that doesn't function anymore, lighting that doesn't quite make the room feel lit up enough, and a sliding door to the patio that doesn't quite open smoothly with a lock that didn't quite work... Breakfast was given but skip-able compared to all the nice cafes and restaurants in Chiang Mai. The location is great if you have a car and want to explore Chiang Mai's further neighborhoods, otherwise I think not convenient even for those who like to rent motorbikes since its out of city center and adjacent neighborhoods. Overall, not bad, but not top tier.

For this price this is very good value. The hotel is a bit shabby but the rooms are big with quality fittings and furniture. Staff are lovely. There were a surprising amount of good eateries and coffee shops nearby, notably "Yummy pizza" where everything we ate was great and "View stereo bar" for a real Thai night out at the weekend.

I found the room through agoda, and it cost roughly 1,000 baht for the night. It was a very nice size room, with a comfortable bed, with air conditioning, running water, very nice bathroom and shower, TV set, lots of electric outlets, refrigerator. The location is really quite beautiful with so much jungle and beautiful trees all around. I have pictures of the breakfast that they lay out for $200 baht. The star of the show is a coffee machine that lets you choose whether it's espresso, latte, mocha, black etc. I think the place is a good deal.

the hotel needs maintenance and upgrades, more than a bit run down now! some rooms’ balcony has air conditioners installed, so you can’t really enjoy the chair at the balcony because the noise and hot air released are unbearable! also for kids older than 5, they will charge 500THB for a bed regardless you want the bed or not.

A very bad experience. Avoid at all cost. Not worth the money. The place was badly maintained. Swimming pool's mosaic tiles on the floor were peeling off which were a walking hazard. The gym had only 3 equipment. The spa appeared to have closed down for a long time. All dark for the 5 days I was there. There is only one restaurant which closed at 7pm. The breakfast served was only bread, noodles and 2 dishes, porridge and nothing to shout about. Last order for dinner was 7pm. We didn't even bothered with the eating in. The hotel was a 1.5km out to the main road before you could find convenience stores, street food and market. The room had a stale smell when I first entered. Toiletries were only cotton bud, shower caps, towels only. No toothpaste or toothbrush. The bathtub water could not be drained. The hot water was not even hot or warm. I rented a motorcycle on the 2nd day to the 5th day. On the day of return, I was asked to pay another extra 300B and was told the money went to the hotel. Apparently, it was a commission which I was not informed when I rented on the first day. The receptionist told me that this was the first time the lady boss imposed this extra charge on the renting company and thus the renting company imposed back on the consumer. Unethical and unacceptable for a hotel management to do this. Especially when it was an impromptu decision from the management. I didn't even argued. Just pay it and forget about it. Didn't want to create problems.

Due to a scheduling error on our part, we arrived in Chiang Mai a day too early for our reservation at a different spa resort, and they didn't have a room available for us. Thanks to the helpful receptionist, the Mountain Resort was able to accommodate us for the night. They even sent a driver to pick us up, and on top of that, they drove us to a nearby market area so that we could grab some clean clothes and toiletries, because our luggage hadn't made the proper connections and wouldn't get to us for two more days. It was about 8pm when we pulled up, and pretty quiet. The staff was very kind and friendly. ||The room was nice, the bed was large and comfortable. I don't recall seeing any insects, except maybe a mosquito or two, thanks to the geckos that adorned the hallways and ceilings. ||The continental breakfast was very good, lots of fresh fruit and it also included an order of eggs, or a couple other options. ||The location was a bit remote, tucked back into a little neighborhood, so you would definitely need a driver or your own transportation to go do anything. One draw back was that the next morning something close by was under renovation, so there was the constant buzzing of a saw. Not the most peaceful sounds, but I don't know if it was from hotel maintenance or a nearby project. ||My husband and I also got massages while we were there, which were nice, but the rooms aren't the most modern. I haven't been to a lot of spas so I didn't have much to compare it to, but the masseuse was very polite. ||I think this place was nice, and I greatly appreciate them accommodating us on such short notice.

I was looking for a spa hotel, somewhere that offers some relaxing therapies but this was not it! ||The whole place is pretty old and outdated. The bedrooms were not very clean and the bedsheets smelt old and didn't have that fresh feeling. Bathrooms very run down and shower pressure non existent. ||The location is awful but that was my own fault for not doing enough research. ||I canceled my 3 day booking on the day I arrived as I wasn't happy and the booking.com site displayed me a refund for one day only which I was willing to accept. The hotel charged me for the whole stay and refused to refund anything. ||All in all this was a saddening experience for me. ||I booked the Rainforest Boutique instead and this place is amazing and half the price!
