Mountain Meadows Lodge (Killington, Vermont) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Kent Pond, in Killington, Vermont is a picture-perfect warm-weather destination, just steps from the Appalachian Trail, and the nearby Killington K1 gondola makes Mountain Meadows Lodge a smart option for ski season as well. The style is modern-rustic, and considerably more stylish than the average New England mountain lodge — here an 180-year-old farmhouse and cow barn provide the raw material for a contemporary, boutique-style hotel. The lodge’s “country breakfast” is a robust one, and later in the day it’s joined by the Kent Bistro & Bar, serving a menu crafted from locally sourced ingredients." - Tablet Hotels

We had the most amazing stay at Mountain Meadows Lodge. From the moment we arrived Cassie took such great care of everything for us. Joseph went above and beyond to make our stay a great experience. Isaac did a fantastic job with breakfasts and serving everyone. Laura was so kind and helped us with making our check out super easy. We absolutely loved our room looking out at the lake and taking advantage of the beautiful grounds and many amenities provided. This was the best trip we have had to Vermont and we can’t wait to come back again. We continue to HIGHLY recommend Mountain Meadows Lodge to all of our friends and family!!!

We loved it here. We had a lake view room and it was extremely comfortable. We made extensive use of the common area pool table and enjoyed the late afternoon fire outside with complementary s’mores. The lake is lovely and there are free kayaks which is great! The staff was very friendly. Older reviews mention made to order breakfast, but it appears during weekdays (when we were there) it is now a continental breakfast which is not overwhelming but was fine. They said weekend breakfast is now a buffet but we left before the weekend. Just minutes from many restaurants on Killington access road. We would definitely come back in the future.

My wife and I stayed there over Mother's Day 2025 weekend and I cannot say enough about this hidden gem. Innkeeper Cassie and GM Joseph were there to greet us and get us settled. The nicest people and they really want you to not hesitate to let them know if you need anything. We checked into a king room and everything was clean and perfect. Wonderful mattress! Each day ended with a nice dinner in the tavern bistro...We had the roast chicken, steak tips, shrimp cocktail, hummus with pita chips, chicken sandwich and the breakfast buffet over our stay along with drinks of course. All excellent and served with a smile by Cassie. We even met Cassie's Mom on Sunday and we made sure to tell her what a wonderful daughter they raised. The weather sure was not the greatest and a lot of stores in the area were closed during "mud season" but staying at the inn made it all worth the trip. A five star experience without a doubt

To begin, this place is absolutely gorgeous, the scenery, the fire pit, and the building itself is incredible especially with a nice sunset, the staff was incredibly nice and always making sure your stay is amazing. The breakfast was delicious and I had to go back for seconds. We chose the LakeView king and our room was beautiful and the view from the balcony is like no other. This lodge is one of if not the best places I’ve ever stayed at.

My family and I had an amazing experience at Mountain Meadow Lodge. The grounds are beautiful and the staff made us feel so welcomed. This kind of service is very difficult to find these days but Joseph and his team made it seem easy. Thank you to the entire team for your hospitality!! 5 stars is not enough.

Cassie, Brenda, Brenda’s husband and staff were warm, friendly and welcoming to Mountain Meadows Inn. The quiet location is just down the road from Killington ski area and so much more! The Inn has a full breakfast on the weekends, and welcomes pets too. The scenery with Kent Lake as a backdrop was beautiful. The amenities, canoes, fire pit, tv/game room, spa and hot tub and clean atmosphere was what my son and I were looking for. It’s a terrific place to unwind and relax and take in nature and enjoy the Vermont hospitality.

My wife and I have been looking for a place to stay in Killington now that we no longer own a place in the area. We found it. We had a fantastic experience. The whole place had a redo recently and it looks great. Our room was awesome. The new management team is super friendly and helpful. Easy 10 minute drive to the slopes but with the lakefront location looks like a great place to visit and stay at in the summer and fall. Looking forward to many stays in the coming years.

Yelp
We loved staying here for a ski weekend at Killington! It's super close to the mountain and the lodge has boot warmers and lockers for your gear to dry out! The staff were all super friendly and I was struck by how clean everything and they had staff cleaning the hallways constantly to keep up with the salt and snow. The breakfast which is included with the stay is soo good with homemade pastries and hot options. The restaurant was closed the first night we were there and I received an email before our stay to let us know which is A+ communication and in the future I'd love to have dinner there. I'm super happy with our stay and next time will make sure to bring bathing suits to take advantage of the hot tub!

Yelp
Well, I don't know what to say. This place is very odd and / or perhaps the oddity is simply due to the fact it isn't season yet.. season being winter skiing. I mean you could come up here for leaf peeping in the fall or summer hiking. But I was at the lodge in between summer and fall. A few weeks where the foliage is still green and hikers are back in school... and skiers are at the gym prepping for the season of hopeful snowfall. But, no... the oddity is a result of it just being an oddball place, run by very young characters, and based on a bit of misinformation. I picked the lodge because the website said it had a restaurant and it seemed, via photos and things to do comments, to be secluded. Well, the restaurant was not open and the lodge is really not secluded. Yes, it is in the mountains and has a small pond for fishing and paddling but it is only a quarter of a mile off of route 4...which is a busy road...with lots of 18 wheelers. So, while I was sitting in the pleasant Adirondack chair overlooking the pond, I could hear the trucks grinding their gears as they made their way up and down route 4. Not having the restaurant open is understandable since I seemed to be the only guest. I was informed that there was another guest but I neither heard nor saw that guest. Either way there are lots of open restaurants in Killington. The lodge is a recently renovated farm house and barn. Seems to be extremely up to snuff in regards to sprinklers, heat pumps, exit signs and lights, septic, etc. The downstairs of the barn layout is very open and lounge like and I guess when busy is a bustling community of skiers. Skiers love hot tubs - so naturally there was one outside. My room was in the attic of the barn. There is a small elevator but it is the slowest elevator I have ever been in. So slow that management has installed a magnetic tic tac toe game on the wall for the rider to play with while waiting to arrive at his or her destination. Anyway, my room was renovated with lots of care. Nice walls, floor, wood beams, and furniture. Modern but rustic. The bathroom was very large and extremely clean. The only problem - small problem - with the bathroom was that the mirror was not centered over the sink - due to the intrusion of a wood beam. So when I shaved I had to move away from the sink to see what I was doing. The room came with a country breakfast, served by the lodge hosts as there is no open restaurant. I had farm fresh eggs and a very excellent cup or two of coffee. The lodge seems to be run by a very young couple with their extremely new born baby... who they carried with them wherever they went. They seem a bit out of place... as did the other two characters I met...all seemingly much much too young and inexperienced to be handed over a property such as this lodge. Overall though, it was a pleasant 24 hours.

Yelp
Zero amenities and kept price over $400 per night? No restaurant. No bar as highlighted online. When asked about it they stated sorry but can't find enough people to work at hotel. Ok, so then adjust the nightly rate, no?

Yelp
Cute and well run. Stayed for a few nights on a recent trip to Killington. It's a renovated space with decent amenities and friendly staff. Rooms are a little small but they are clean and well furnished. My only (admittedly minor) real complaint was the lack of hooks in the bathroom. Kind of a pet peeve of mine but instantly noticeable, especially with the lack of counter space. They have a large dining area with a full bar and a comfortable lounge, a card room, pool table and foosball, as well as a sauna. The breakfast is great, but they only have a limited menu for dinner. They do however allow you to order delivery from other places to eat in the dining room. Coffee is abundantly available, in the dining room or at coffee and water kiosks, offering Keurig and tea service. Their mascot is a gentle dog named Daisy that positions herself strategically in the hallways for maximum head scratches and belly rubs.

Yelp
Stayed 3 nights in June 2023. Very disappointed at the numerous maintenance issues from non-draining shower flooding bathroom floor to rocking/unseated toilet to towel hooks falling off the wall and wall sconces flopping sideways; dirty breakfast buffet area: dirty table, floors, silverware, cobwebs from ceiling to table in corner, dirty glasses on bar from day(s) prior and nowhere to put used dishes; poor management evident in inoperable fireplace because they're out of propane and no routine safety elements such as handbar in shower nor shower mat and slippery tile. Staff was pleasant but had no answers to questions about the facility. TV service offered no "normal" channels for news or sports so we had to find local sports pub to watch sporting events during playoffs. We'd looked forward to staying there for months and couldn't wait to leave. :(

Yelp
We live about an hour away and decided we needed out of the house and what a GEM to find. So new and clean, like spotless clean. From the minute we stepped in and were given a tour by the housekeeper, to the hours in front of their fire and tiny bar, everything was A+. The breakfast itself was easily worth $15 per person (custom and made to order plates!), the drinks were totally reasonable and the lounge area was simply stunning. Architecturally the lodge was such a treat too, a former barn with the top floors made into rooms. We had the starlight room, where as the name suggests, star watch from the comfort of your bed. The innkeeper Nancy and her dog Daisy were the highlight of our trip though, we booked another day on just because the level of warmth and hospitality they provided. We look forward to returning for years to come !

Patrick F.

Yelp
I'd give it zero but it isn't an option. It's clear that everything they did to renovate this place was done in the cheap. If you feel like inhaling sewer gas all night because your bathroom sink doesn't have a trap, then this is your place.

Jack M.

Yelp
Waited over 40 minutes for a drink from the bar because the bartender had to walk her daughter and dog around the property. NEVER AGAIN!

Yelp
What a beautiful place to stay. So close to the mountain. The cutest most friendliest dog named Daisy and the friendliest staff. My GF and I stayed at the red barn. Our room looked brand new with a beautiful rustic appeal to it. It had ski lights and I'm pretty sure the bathroom floors were heated, which was amazing. Delicious breakfast every morning. Everything was super clean. They really made us feel at home.

Yelp
A renovated country barn turned into a hotel! Small, intimate, quiet, nestled in the mountains by a small lake. A perfect runaway for couples seeking a little stress relief. Big fireplaced lounge area, outdoor fire pit, breakfast included, easy going staff. Worth checking out!

Chloe P.

Yelp
Unbelievably wonderful experience! Everything is brand new and super clean. The staff is exceptional and offers everything from snow shoes to s'mores kits. Daisy (the hotel dog) is the sweetest addition to the staff as well. Sits on a wonderful lake and small farm with a few animals to visit. Centrally located right by Killington Resort, 5 minute drive to the slopes! This will be our go to place when visiting Killington VT. A special thank you to Nancy - we will forever be a tenet in room 15!

Adelaide E.

Yelp
The hotel is located in a picturesque spot on a lake and is beautiful when you pull onto the property. The common areas are nicely decorated and beautifully presented. The staff was welcoming and accommodating to questions. The rooms are nice, depending on which one you get as there is a significant difference. We were told we had to change rooms and were fine with that. Our first room was very nice considering the price we paid - spacious and well appointed. On our second night, the room was cramped with low ceilings, you had to work hard to turn around in the bathroom with no room to put anything on a counter. Considering the $$$$ price that is paid for the room, the included breakfast was basic, at best. Consider what you get at the Hampton Inn and it was the same at Mountain Meadows each morning. A walk through, serve yourself lineup of lukewarm eggs, sausage and pancakes. To me that was unacceptable, and Covid had nothing to do with it as there were only a handful of people in the hotel. If that was the explanation it was used as an excuse and not a solution to the challenge. I would not stay there again as the same amount of money would provide a much more upscale experience at another facility. Either adjust the price or adjust the offerings.

Kristen S.

Yelp
This place is amazing! It is newly renovated and they did a wonderful job. Everything is beautifully decorated and the entire place was very clean. Nancy was so welcoming and helpful - giving us a tour of the entire hotel. Her dog, Daisy, was probably the best part of our stay! She was so sweet and made the place feel like home. The room was amazing as well. Very comfortable bed, plenty of room for luggage, and a fabulous shower head! We also felt very safe with their Covid-19 precautions. Everything was very clean, did not feel crowded, and when we did see people they had a mask on.

Ashley G.

Yelp
I stayed here in December of 2020 with a group of friends and I must say that from the moment I checked in, I had such a positive experience. Nancy was so polite and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed from providing me with recommendations for activities to providing our group with snow shoes for our hike. The rooms and lobby area were newly renovated and absolutely beautiful. I highly recommend Mountain Meadows Lodge for anyone staying in the Killington area. This lodge provides free breakfast and also has light snacks and soup throughout the day. There's also a game room with a pool table, darts and foosball. The lodge is located on/near a lake so the view is absolutely breath-taking. We had such a great time and will definitely be back!

Yelp
I stayed here over the weekend for a friend's wedding. The location and common areas are all beautiful, and the wedding was very nice. Both indoor and outdoor, all the locations on the grounds were beautiful. The staff were all very friendly and extremely helpful. The goats and pony were all very sweet and fun to feed. So why 2 stars? The room we stayed in was old and dirty. No tv, no A/C (which I get, it's VT, but still), old carpets, shower with a sticking door, shared mini-fridge that didn't get anything cold, no pool and crappy beds. We got a desk fan to keep us cool. The bed was 1 thin mattress, with no box spring, and a poorly sized fitted sheet. The fitted sheet kept coming off, leaving us on the mattress cover, or the dirty mattress itself. Gross. When I made the bed and lifted the mattress to put the fitted sheet on, there was something under the mattress. Honestly, it looked like melted maple candy in a plastic wrapper, but whatever it was someone who made the bed should have seen it. Makes me wonder about how well everything was being cleaned. When we checked in, we were told keys are only handed out by request because people tend to leave with them. The wedding had all the rooms at the hotel, but you never know, so we just elected to take all out valuables with us when we left the grounds. Annoying. There is a no outside alcohol policy here- everything you drink you buy from them. Overall, a great place to have a wedding, but I'd opt for just about anywhere else to stay.

Yelp
Just returned from our family reunion and MML was the perfect spot! Loved that there was plenty to do on the grounds. The food was amazing. The beds were comfortable. The staff were amazing. Would highly recommend! The cons - it took awhile for the water to get hot for showers and once hot, only hot water came out of the faucet. Alcoholic beverages were a bit pricey, but understand the law is the law.

Yelp
Stayed here on a visit to Vermont for work -- we worked busy days and coming home to beautiful accommodations was a blessing. The lake and surrounding area are gorgeous, and the space at the lodge -- bedrooms, common spaces/dining rooms, baths -- are all clean and super relaxing to spend time in. Bill, the owner, is super accommodating and friendly. You have access to wifi and television, but it is also very easy to get away from the world and find relaxation and comfort here.

Yelp
Stayed here with my family during a ski trip and had a blast. Great location, 5-10 minutes away from Killington lifts. Beautiful views from the rooms of the lake. Big victorian style rooms. Tons of amenities (i.e. game room with billiards), bar, etc. Staff (including the owner Bill and bartender/manager Matt) is very friendly. I'd definitely recommend this as accommodations for staying near the mountain.

Yelp
When I was younger I went to a summer camp in the mountains of North Carolina. It was one of the best times of my life. Coming to Mountain Meadows Lodge was like taking a step back into this joyful time. Not t that it was Spartan and rustic, not at all; The amenities were luxurious, the hot tub relaxing, and the lake beautiful. It captured a homey wilderness feeling from a bygone era. Coming up here in a group we were all cared for and comfortable, and it was a wonderful escape from the busy city where we live. I would highly recommend staying here. Vermont will continue to hold special in my heart because of my heart because of it.

Yelp
I love MML for ski trips that harken to kinder, simpler times. Bill and the team have got it just right, with a level of ambience and comfort that comes from staying in an authentic, old school lodge. The food and service are excellent, and the location can't be beat. The beds are clean and comfortable, which is as expected for a ski lodge. Most of all, it is a quiet safe place to rest and relax after a day of skiing. Killington, the access road, and a ton of restaurants are nearby if you need more action, but for my money, I am very happy to rest my bones by the fire and enjoy their comfortable living space. MML is a great value, which is hard to find these days in southern VT. I will be back - lots!

Yelp
We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend at the Mountain Meadows Lodge. The innkeepers and staff quickly made us feel at home. The view is really peaceful.... and the large hammock only made it better. Granted there was no TV in the bedroom but I didn't expect one. With the App Trail going through the property, we were able to chat with hikers and go on one hike of our own. We will return!

Yelp
Our family loves the Mountain Meadows Lodge! We are repeat customers over the ski season. The staff is excellent. The lodge is cozy with a fire going every night. There is plenty for the kids to do to keep them entertained in the game room area/hot tub. It reminds me of the lodges of my youth - a gem that has not been ruined by tv's and technology everywhere. A wonderful "off the grid" getaway!

Lori K.

Yelp
I had a wonderful time staying here- the grounds were immaculate, service was very welcoming, and I loved feeding and petting the animals! I would absolutely go there again even though there were a few things that I didn't love. 1.) The water smelled like sulfur. I get that well water can have an aroma, but it made brushing my teeth a disgusting chore and I couldn't wait to get out of the shower. I affectionally referred to it as "fart water" 2.) I understand that Vermont law dictates you can't bring in outside alcohol, but this place only had 2 bud lights for the entire wedding party and then wanted to charge $6 per beer from something local (good beer, but come on $6...in VT?) The inn keeper was shocked when we opted to just not drink anymore then. 3.) The room and bed were decent, but nothing to write home about. I get that it's Vermont and the idea is to be outdoors the majority of the time, but they could use a bit of an update in terms of decor- even a paint job would help! Additionally, I don't begrudge anyone their religion, but a lodge shouldn't have Christian decorations and a giant crucifix scattered around the establishment. Overall, I would go back for the grounds alone. The lake is the most perfect lake I've ever been to and the animals were worth the visit alone.
google avatar

M D.

Yelp
The grounds were nice. But was disappointed in the services. No hot water for showers. Heat didn't work. Inn keeper was reluctant to build us a fire but finally did after I asked 3x. Place was kept dark...no lights on. Didn't feel warm and inviting. It could be an A+ establishment with a little effort and some love.

Laura G.

Yelp
We were hardly gone, and my kids were already asking when we can go back! Amazing property and the absolute nicest owners and staff. They alone make you want to be there. My brother got married at Mountain Meadows 6 years ago and it was the most fun wedding ever. It was wonderful to be there again last week. I cant recommend this place enough!

Yelp
This is the only place we stay at while in Vermont. We have been coming here for yrs, when we decided to get married this was the only place that was perfect for us. Bill,Ann,Pv, Lauren, Alex,Candice,Dave,Noellen, were more like family and friends not just the employees. They answered all questions, gave us directions to places that we needed to get to in a hurry. Everytime we stay there, we stay in a different room. Each one has its own theme and feel. Its old school - thats the one thing I personally love. When we show up , they always treat us like family with open arms.

Kate M.

Yelp
This place was really phenomenal. The grounds are exactly what you'd hope to see in the Vermont countryside - gorgeous views of the lake, sprawling greenery, swallows chirping, goats and ponies grazing. The accommodations were quaint, warm, and inviting. The owner was so kind and helpful. Honestly couldn't've asked for a better experience.

Diane C.

Yelp
We arrived to piano music. The grounds were perfectly manicured. The rooms were spacious, clean and well stocked. The staff was very friendly, fun and accommodating. The Breakfast buffet was great. Something for everyone on the property, if you want to relax, hike, take a boat out on the lake, ETC. Great location not far from other area attractions. Felt like home away from home.

Jessica S.

Yelp
Stayed at MML for a ski trip this past weekend and we had an amazing time! Rooms are quaint and perfect for groups looking for a cheaper place to stay close to the mountain. The staff was so nice and accommodating. Grounds were absolutely beautiful! Water smelled a little like sulfur but a small price to pay for such a great place. Be sure to visit Matt at the bar and take a dip in the hot tub or sauna! Game room (pool table, fooseball, piano and Big Buck Hunter) was perfect to hang out in before a night out on the town. Will definitely be coming back again! Thank you for a great time!

Hope D.

Yelp
This is the only place in Killington I would stay. Perfect for large family gatherings! Beautiful landscape and outdoors!

Yelp
My boyfriend and I can't say enough about Mountain Meadows Lodge after staying there for 2 nights in March with two of our friends. When we saw a TownHog coupon advertising 2 nights stay + 2 snowshoe/cross-country skiing passes for $150 (but no online reviews of the lodge), we decided to take a chance since the place is also 5 minutes away from the huge Killington ski resort. What followed is the most pleasant stay my boyfriend and I have ever had. Mountain Meadows Lodge is charming and has the best amenities ever - comfortable rooms, free Wi-Fi everywhere in the lodge, free hot breakfast with a wide variety of options (home-cooked potatoes, eggs, sausage, fruit, waffles, etc.), large selection of tea and hot/cold water available at all times, a large living/sitting room with a stretch of windows and plenty of comfortable nooks to hang out in or be quiet, a game room housing ping pong, pool, foosball, and darts, a sauna, an outdoor hot tub, a comfortable movie room with a gigantic couch and large selection of good movies, well-stocked bookshelves and board games, two pianos, a bar that the owners will open up for you if asked, a tank of turtles, hand-compiled guides to the surrounding area, and more. That's just the inside. Though we didn't get to go ourselves, there appear to be tons of good trails for cross-country skiing and hiking around the lodge that we saw many people (who weren't staying the night) take advantage of, and you can also borrow snowshoes from the lodge. Outside by the barn there is Alice, the adorable Vietnamese pot-bellied pig who is the mascot of the lodge, as well as other funny animals. The whole place feels deceptively small and cozy when really there is so much you can do there - I wish we could have stayed longer to take advantage of our options! What really gives it that great feel are the owners, Bill and Dave. They are so friendly, personable, and accessible that you immediately feel at home. They'll gladly take you out to meet the animals if asked and do whatever they can to make staying at the lodge pleasant. When we first walked in, Dave was building a fire in the fireplace for a couple in the living room. After midnight when my friends and I were playing Jenga in the otherwise deserted dining room, Bill came by with a large bowl of freshly popped popcorn and then went to open the bar for a group of guests that had just returned. When my boyfriend and I asked if we could stay in the lodge the last day until our friends got back from skiing, Bill cheerfully let us check out late with no extra charge since no one was waiting for the room. We ended up sleeping in late, eating a delicious lunch at the lodge's dining room, and cozily studying on the couches in the living room while watching cross-country skiers go by the window on their way to the trails. In all, Mountain Meadows Lodge is a great place to stay and I hope to go back someday. It is also so close to the main ski resorts! Even without the TownHog coupon, it seems that their rates are pretty reasonable, and a lot of the rooms can fit a good number of people - my boyfriend and I had a room with a queen and two bunk beds. If you get a chance, definitely let yourself experience this Vermont getaway! I probably didn't mention everything - take a look at the lodge's website (www.mountainmeadowslodge.com) and especially the pages "Stuff to do" and "Free stuff to do" under Amenities & Photos. They're not exaggerating!

Yelp
Want your wedding to be a weekend of outdoors activities, gorgeous scenery, and accommodating staff? Look no further than Mountain Meadows Lodge. Even your guests will thank you! This is a long overdue review. Had our wedding there in 2012 and it was amazing! Bill, Anne, and staff were truly wonderful. We had a lot of special requests and environmental twists we wanted and they accommodated everything. We even had our dog as our flower girl! The setting is picture perfect and sure to provide lasting memories. Right on a lake in the green mountains, set back from any road noise, it is extremely private and in touch with nature. When renting the lodge you get basically get a whole weekend escape for the cost of 6 hours at most places! Take advantage of it. Make this a destination for your guests. We had people traveling from 15 minutes away and some from other countries. It was great to have everyone staying at the same place too. Bill's cooking is certainly a highlight. We asked for all vegan meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner) and he took it as a challenge with great results. Even packaged/froze all our leftovers! The Appalachian Trail runs right through the property, so encourage your guests to go for a hike, or canoe, or swim, or bike ride! Certainly feel enveloped by nature and sure to please any outdoorsy couple. The price was completely reasonable and they were very flexible/easy to work with. When we showed up they provided us with a wedding coordinator (forget name...) who made sure all parts went smoothly. It was truly like hiring a professional planner for no additional cost! Be sure to leave a very nice tip. Highly recommend having your ceremony in the morning (get the "can't see the bride" done with early!) and adventure all day, then party the night away! We even had our rehearsal dinner there. The lodging is great. Rooms of all varieties! Even camping options. We looked at tons of venues and most were expensive, some unwilling to work on our requests (vegan, camping, etc), or other reasons. I grew up 30 minutes south of here and I was blown away by it's beauty and professionalism. I look back at our photos and I wouldn't change a thing! Our guests have even returned for ski trips in the winter. Mountain Meadows Lodge was truly the "Perfect Vermont Wedding".

Gabrielle K.

Yelp
This is bittersweet to write as I'm not sure what the fate of weddings at MML is for the next wedding season as Bill will be moving and the lodge will be under a new owner. But we still feel we must profess how amazing Bill, Alex, Ali, Marge, and the rest of MML team is. They helped create and execute what was the most amazing and perfect weekend of our lives. I know it's cliche, but it is true. Our wedding had every perfect detail included from start to finish that we could have ever imagined and we had more fun than ever thought possible. From daily nightly bon fires and smores, to accommodating all of our family requests, to letting us create a sundae bar of our dreams, to letting us feed the animals, and so many more moments- the team at MML now feel like our family and we have never felt such joy and happiness. Marge and Bill put up with all of my last minute requests, I was at the Lodge 5min and Ali was already standing on a chair hanging a decoration I thought we might be able to use. Every morsel of food was delicious, every activity so engaging, and every story from Bill so interesting! It was the perfect venue to transition to the next stage in our lives of being married as we were surrounded by such loving people and the most beautiful view of mountains, lakes, the AT, and animals. I will forever be grateful and think lovingly of the people at MML and wish them the best of luck in their new endeavors. They are truly like family and bring so much goodness into the world. Thank you for making our wedding day so special. Love, Gabby & Adam

Yelp
I stayed here this past weekend for a friends wedding. It was one of the best weddings I have ever been to. The Inn is beautiful, the location and grounds were breathtaking. The food was amazing, wedding cake and baked treats in the morning were delicious (lemon scones yum).I want t say the staff I met Candice, Matt, and Alex were all very accommodating to anything we needed. Great people! Got to feed the animals and take a canoe ride. Hated to leave but had to go back to the real world.I hope to be able to return again and stay. It is a very warm and welcoming place, I would highly recommend it to others!

Yelp
We have been guests at Mountain Meadows 4 times since the current innkeepers bought the property about 10 years ago, and would summarize the experience as like spending time in a secret world. It's a place where your favorite foods are made for family style dinners; where goats and a pony wait for guests to feed them breakfast to remind you how fun it was to be a kid; where strangers and friends get together to watch favorite old movies in a room crammed with cozy couches, and the staff brings popcorn they just popped in the huge stone fireplace. The Inn has a well-deserved reputation as a wedding venue, but our family has stayed for family getaways, mostly in the winter. We have slept in several room types, including the large Meadow Suite and in the Farmhouse, which has a handicap- friendly space. This trip we reserved 3 rooms for a total of 9 family members, the youngest 4 and 7. There was something for everyone to call a favorite part of our stay. For me, the relaxed feeling started even before we got there. Innkeeper Bill sent us the dinner menus for each night to make sure there was something everyone liked (our great rate included breakfast AND family style dinner, so be sure to ask if you want meals included - breakfast comes with all the rooms). A family nut allergy was noted with no worries. Resort manager Alex called me a few days before our arrival with not only the weather, but ideas for our non-skiers and an offer to take us hiking and even to yoga classes. For the adults, there was a section of the Appalachian Trail to hike adjacent to the property, as well as other walks both easy and challenging. For the kids, there was enough snow to get out the sleds the Inn keeps in the side vestibule, the animals in the barn, and the ping pong table, football table and plentiful games (which we enjoyed together). Soft beds furnished in a way that let us know we could leave our shoes off, but still lovely and with country charm. Hot chocolate was very good and always on hand, as were tea and hot coffee around the clock. A large bar area with a grand piano was another place where we could all relax, and the absence of TVs in the sleeping rooms was another "away from the world" reminder. There is a guest fridge for syrup and cheese purchases, and for extra desserts. PV's big breakfasts always featured fruit she cut fresh every morning, and she made special entrees for the kids the first night when they were fussy from the plane trip and long car ride from the airport. The desserts each night were unforgettable: strawberry shortcake; homemade brownies with ice cream; even s'mores in the fireplace. Dinner times worked around our daily adventures, and plates were set aside for sleeping guests. The morning we left early for ski school, PV made breakfast sandwiches and presented them in a basket still piping hot with grape clusters to go along. Okemo was only a 30 minute drive, and Killington skiing was 15 minutes away. For a fraction of the cost of a single room at the ski resorts, we had comfy rooms and all the rest of the Lodge to stretch out in- the outdoor hot tub, the saunas, the large common areas. Especially because this was a multi- generation trip for us, Mountain Meadows was just about perfect. The staff does not lurk but they are obviously glad to see us. Candice laughed at our awful jokes and helped in a dozen ways. Bill found gloves and gear we lost outside and helped dry it out. The younger staff enjoy his leadership and their contentment shows in their service. If you want an "Inn" experience, you can't beat Mountain Meadows. Wifi is available in all but one corner of the lodge so you can be in the real world if you must, but I urge you to turn off the world and just drift with the comfort of the relaxed surroundings. Imagine your grandma's house the way it would be in a novel, with friendly attendants and beamed ceilings. Triple the size, double the meal portions and add a barn in the back, and you'll be at Mountain Meadows. And look for us, because we'll be back.

Yelp
We just had a great stay at mountain meadows lodge. We were treated very well - the staff, especially brothers Alex and Matt, were really friendly and went above and beyond to ensure we had a comfortable stay. Alex gave us a lift to town to get food as well as to the deli nearby for dinner which was unexpected and very nice ! The place is really cozy...we'd just finished hiking for two weeks so it was a perfect place to relax and watch movies and explore the lake, etc. they have a ton of board games, movies, and books to borrow which was also a plus! it's not within walking distance to any restaurants, but it is within walking distance of a deli/convenience store, so hikers plan ahead for that! Also, the breakfast in the morning comes with your stay and is really really good. We'd definitely recommend this place for hikers, as well as other types of stays (it's very popular for weddings and other events) and we would come again in the future if ever in Killington again. 5 stars!

Yelp
I could not express how incredibly happy my husband and I were with our wedding at Mountain Meadows. All of our guests have raved about how this was either one of the best or the best wedding they have attended. Bill, Anne, Dave and Lauren made our day absolutely incredible and provided an incredibly personal, tailored, genuine, hands on approach. The venue itself is beautiful with classic Vermont scenery, and offers a ton of outdoor activities. My husband and I did a lot of items ourselves to save money and personalize our day, and the staff helped us every step of the way (like how we needed wire cutters to cut the pins in the flower bouquets at the last minute, they helped us plan the course for the 5k race we hosted the day of the wedding, they helped me coordinate table linens when we decided to provide our own, we had intricate center pieces that the staff put together beautifully etc). The staff were incredibly professional and yet so friendly and personal it felt like we were being hosted by close friends or family. Bill crafted an amazing meal, cooked just inside the lodge (which was personalized to our taste and needs for some special diets). This meal tasted far better than other (more expensive) meals I have had at weddings, where you know the food is overcooked and obviously prepared ahead of time. The staff took care of all of the details and coordinated the wedding so effectively there was absolutely no stress or burden on my husband and I. By the end of the weekend I was actually sad at the realization that I had not captured a picture with the staff who had made our weekend so perfect. I highly encourage anyone who is interested in a rustic outdoor Vermont wedding, who want a classic yet family style approach to their wedding to book with Mountain Meadows. My husband and I feel incredibly lucky to have found Mountain Meadows for our wedding and would not have changed anything about the weekend.
