We enjoyed our stay at the hotel overall.||Positives:|- Affordable price compared to other hotels.|- Very convenient location: close to Davos Dorf railway station, bus stops, shops (Coop, Aldi, bakery, etc.), and restaurants. With the premium card, you can travel for free within Davos.|- From the outside the building looks rather old, but a lot of renovation has already been done. The superior rooms are renovated and offer beautiful mountain views.|- The gym is excellent (spread over three levels), and the pool and wellness area are nice.|- We appreciated being able to use the garden after swimming.|- Good bike room (although quite full) – well equipped, and you can get a bike tool kit from reception.|- Friendly staff.||Areas for Improvement:|- Service could be more responsive: we requested a quote for a last-minute trip and only received an answer after three days. We were alreay on site and had booked via an online portal|- It was very difficult to reach reception by phone from the room. Calls often went unanswered, so we had to go down in person whenever we had an issue or question. This happened several times.|- Staff tended to say “no” if they didn’t know the answer, instead of asking a colleague.|- Housekeeping did not refill toilet paper for two days in a row, so we had to contact reception (which, again, was hard to reach). Coffee was not refilled regularly either.|- Hygiene could be better: the balcony table was very dirty (melted chocolate and dirt). Cups and glasses were not cleaned daily.|- There was no kettle or tea set in the room. When we requested one, the kettle provided was very dirty (not limescale, but actual dirt), so we had to clean it ourselves.|- Breakfast was very standard and repetitive. Before arrival we had asked about vegan options for breakfast and were told it would not be a problem if the kitchen was informed in advance, which we did. However, when we arrived nobody knew about it. They arranged grilled vegetables, vegan sausages, and soy yogurt, which stayed the same for all 7 days (except on days when soy yogurt was unavailable). This became quite monotonous.|- Although the hotel is officially non-smoking, people smoked on their balconies, and the smell entered our room.||Good to know:|- Outside parking costs 9 CHF/day, the garage 15 CHF/day. The outside parking lot can be very full.
