Gift shop with a great view and "world famous banana daiquiri" that they make fresh as you order. It was refreshing, and a great view. Of course, we bought some souvenirs too.

Beautiful scenery and the best gift shop on my whole trip. They had everything, a look out deck, and a tiki bar.

I saw some people say it was expensive but I’m not sure if we went at different times because they had shirts 9.99, keychains 10 for 5.00 and a great banana daiquiri. This was the best store/lookout I’ve been to here.

Must go place to visit for beautiful views of the island and indulging in their iconic banana daiquiri!! Famous photo and souvenir stop where the souvenirs weren’t that bad in price and there were a ton of options to choose from. Food options could be better, they really only sold hotdogs, chips and drinks.

The view is why you go to Mountain Top, the banana daquiri is a bonus! It's surprisingly affordable with a souvenir cup! The only regret was that we didn't wait to buy our gifts for back home beforehand, I would have waited if I knew how big the shop was and the variety of souvenirs! Taxi was the more expensive part of the trip, coming from Coki Beach area resort.

The banana daiquiri's here are definitely the BEST that you will ever have! The view from the top of the mountain is really great too, you can see the surrounding USVI and BVI. The gift shop here has the largest selection of everything for less $ than the places in town. Put this on your must do list!

A tourist trap with great views. There is a large deck on the back of the building with amazing views. They sell Banana Daiquiri, other snacks and beverages, and all the shirts and souvenirs you could want

This place is amazing! The view is unlike any other on the island. They have great souvenir options here too. You can choose more high end items like real silver jewelry or your more standard less expensive items like magnets, t-shirts, and hats. But let's be honest the real draw is the amazing banana daiquiris! And you can get a cute plastic cup you can keep and get a refill because one usually is not enough.

View is the best on the island!! Deff try the banana daiquiri it was so good & they use real bananas! Great gift shop too! Has a parking lot if you have a rental car (free parking)!

This place is a bit of a tourist trap, but the view of Magen's Bay is absolutely incredible. It's worth stopping by just for the scenery!

While on our tour of Saint Thomas, VI, my family's first stop was on the "World Famous" Mountain Top. Mountain Top is a mix of a tourist attraction, duty free souvenir shop, and bar. It allegedly has the best banana daquiris in the world and also it is allegedly where it was first invented. I cannot attest as to the quality of the banana daquiri, as I am not much of a fan of the drink, so I did not order while here. I did take time to peruse the store for souvenirs, it has everything from clothing to gift items, home decor, etc. I will also say the outside of the store is weird decorated with pirates... tons of pirates. It's odd but it works. My favorite part is of course the views of the island that the Mountain Top affords. Mountain Top sits atop St. Peters Mountain, which is 1500 feet above sea level. It thus allows you an amazing view of Magens Bay, St. John and the British Virgin Islands. I really cannot emphasize enough how beautiful St. Thomas looks from the observation area of Mountain Top. If you come to Saint Thomas, I highly recommend coming here. Its a long car ride up here, but it is worth it!

We've been to St. Thomas multiple times, but this was our first time visiting Mountain Top. I wish we stopped by on our earlier visits. It's a great tourist destination, as it has the best and largest gift shop I've seen on the island. They have everything here for shopping, and the items seem like good quality. They have an amazing supply of apparel (hats, t-shirts, keepsakes, jewelry, sweatshirts, etc.), rum, and gifts. Pricing is what you'd expect at a tourist shop, but everything seemed reasonably priced. And the bar at the back has nice options for everyone. If you like bananas, you have to try their frozen banana daiquiris, which they're famous for. They have other drink options as well. Then be sure to take in the amazing sights from their balcony which has unmatched views of Magens Bay and the BVI's. It's probably the highest point on the island of St. Thomas, so you can't beat the views. We came on a day without cruise ships in town and it was a little overcast, so there were very few people there. There was ample parking too. The drive up was tricky, but manageable. Give yourself enough time to shop and enjoy a cocktail while taking in the beautiful views! You won't regret it!

Sea look up, Banana Daiquiri, shop, bay view. This is the location serve the world famous banana daiquiri. The alcohol is there if you don't need to drive. The souvenir shop has many souvenirs. From short to decorative cup. But if you are here Banana daiquiri is the way to go. Don't miss out. The overlooked has a good view to Magen Bay. It is a beautiful beach from the mountain top. It take your breath away. The parking is limited. They do have Outlet parking. Public restrooms are available.

Prices aren't bad. Typical souvenir shop. $6 magnets. $30 T-shirt. $40 hoodies. No one is bothering you. The bathrooms are very clean. There's food and drinks available too. World Famous Banana Daiquiri. Ice Cream with Rum Cake

Y'all this place is wild. I give it a 5 for the views, a 5 for the amount of booze in the banana daiquiris, and a 5 for a kitschy tourist spot. You can shop while you drink and take in the views - you'll find every tourist souvenir you are looking for and some pretty weird pirate statues. Still had fun

First stop during our excursion u come into the shopping area, big area plenty of souvenirs to shop & look around. Another treat here is the great tasting Banana daiquiri they are very good, a bit on the sweet side but otherwise pretty good. After grabbing drinks we went outside to check out the amazing views & wowww! Beautiful, beautiful views so nice so peaceful it was lovely to see, definitely a must see view.

The views from this tourist stop don't get any better on the entire island. We drove up on our own and discovered some absolutely incredible views and even found some bargains on t-shirts and souvenirs. From atop this mountain, you can see Magen's Beach and many of the nearby islands and cays. It was worth the drive up just to take in the views -- the bargain priced shirts were a bonus.

Yo!!! Best view, best service, best daiquiris on the island!!! Love it! They have 3 different sizes to choose from. The #2 and #3 come w souvenir cups and the #1 is the typical plastic cup. Sooo delicious!! I had 2 #3s. If you do a refill in ur cup you can save $2!

I had a fantastic time looking the gorgeous views and sipping a drink that actually felt natural. They make really fresh from the scratch banana daiquiris and do believe in the hype. And they are at a very reasonable price. The views are just spellbinding. Plan here to come for 15mins and that's good enough if you are visiting the island for a short duration. There is a sale section for refrigerator magnets ($2) and that makes for a great souvenir purchase. There is also a small sale section for T shirts. Came here before the tourist hour and had the first daiquiri they made for the day and it was an nice experience.

Great place to visit to get a great view and some gorgeous photos. It is also a great place to buy souvenirs. Large selection for anyone on your list. This is also the home of the World Famous Banana Daiquiri. Sadly, since I'm not much of a drinker and I had a margarita for lunch I missed out on this. I'll definitely plan on trying it next time around. They also had a rum tasting area. Accompanied a lot of people. It was busy, but it didn't feel overly crowded.

We where shopping in a few stores for rings. I couldn't find any that I liked, and then we found this place. They had a wide variety of jewelry and a ton of rings. So hard to decide! I ended up settling on a whale and turtle one, 30$ each or 2 for 40$. Considering the fact that most rings are 40-50$ each, this was a great deal. The view was insanely gorgeous. Highly underrated. Awesome.

This is definitely a spot you have to visit on the island for its panoramic views, yummy treats, and endless souvenirs!

The views are amazing, the gift shop has everything I mean everything you need as far as souvenirs! There are banana daiquiris for adults and an ice cream stand for the kids. Definitely recommend

We got to visit during our Royal Caribbean excursion. Wish we had more time, but I'm so glad to be able to have a banana daiquiri. The gift shop was awesome and a plethora of offerings. The views were awesome! Again, wish we had more time, but it's a really cool stop!

It's a gift shop with a balcony. Don't be tricked into thinking it's anything more. Don't get me wrong, if you're looking for a gift shop, this is a fine one. Adventurous road trip to get up to Mountain Top. You can reward yourself with their famous banana daiquiri and appreciate the best birds eye view of Magen's Bay and beyond without a drone. Walk through the huge gift shop to get to the bar in the far end. From there you can access the viewing platform and take your selfies. Lots of pirates hanging about some historic cannons. If you are visiting St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands, Mountain Top is a must visit ... not for the Banana daiquiri's, but for the view. Beautiful! Mountain Top is the king of gift shops; a warehouse of shirts of every color, size, type, plus hats and other nick-nacks. There is something here for every tourist and their family back home. Prices are on par with a Walmart but you can find a few bargains. The Banana daiquiri's are very overpriced and have no consistency. Mine was weak and needed more Banana flavor. My friends was more like a banana smoothie and if there was rum in it I couldn't tell. One guy from the UK (my guess based on his accent) told the bartender his tasted like shite and requested they make it again, this time with the dark rum. But the the main reason to visit here is the mountain high view of Magen's Bay, beach, and several islands off in the distance. Beautiful!

I did not know what this place was. I was told to go there for the views. It is a huge gift shop with a bar and amazing views of Magens Bay and the British Virgin Islands. This place is located about 1500 feet above sea level which allows you to have a great panoramic view. The gift shop has everything you can think of. It is big. The Banana Daiquiri is excellent. You need to try it. I found it expensive but It was expected as this is a touristy place. It is free to get in. So you can go there just to admire the view.

Beautiful views and amazing gift shop with anything you could want or need. They even had a bar and we were told delicious drinks, but we don't drink so didn't try them. Helpful, friendly service. Definitely worth the drive if looking for souvenirs to take home plus a great view and a drink if you drink alcohol. Glad we went and checked it out.

The lowest price tourist shirts I've seen in St. Thomas. I got two shirts and they were $17 each and good quality. The banana daiquiris are also so good! They put a lot of rum in them (about half of our 8oz cup was dark Cruzan rum) so watch out! We got most of our souvenirs here.

Absolutely stunning views from the highest point of St. Thomas. Also has a gigantic gift shop with anything you could possibly imagine. Our group of 10 did all of our souvenir shopping at this one location. I will consider a mountain top a must stop for first timers at Saint Thomas.

The view is absolutely amazing! From the top you can see Magen's Bay. We got there when they opened so we waited until the bar was set up to try a banana daiquiri. The shop is huge! We bought shirts for our niece and nephew. We enjoyed the banana daquiri. This is way better than Drake's Seat. We had good phone service up here because we were close to the cell phone towers haha. We were there for about an hour and by then so many taxis and buses were there on tours. That's how we were able to get a coupe of pictures together! I highly recommend visiting Mountain Top if you're in St. Thomas - it's a must-do!

Banana daiquiris were great. They were only serving certain sizes, lines were long, they were serving locals before tourists, and the bartender wasn't very customer friendly. The cashier wasn't the happiest person either, so customer service was a bust up here. Go for the view. That's it. Which you might be able to get at a nice restaurant or somewhere else. It was gorgeous, but once you get the view, that's the only pleasant experience about this place.

This place is fantastic! The banana daiquiris are to die for and tons of great souvenirs! I went to a bunch of places to find goodies to take home, but I came back here to have another daiquiri and shop.

Mountain Top was one of my favorite stops while exploring St. Thomas, here in the US Virgin Islands! I didn't even know the place existed until I casually grabbed a little pamphlet of "to-do" recommendations when I arrived at the airport. I initially ventured over to Charlotte Amalie Overlook and Drake's Seat to check out the views from there, but I was pretty disappointed in the scenic panoramas from those spots. Then when I browsed through the guided booklet, I stumbled upon this - Mountain Top - and the wonderful sights this place offered from high above. So fortunately, while sitting in my car at the Drake's Seat Overlook, I simply plugged "Mountain Top" into Google Maps and boom!....it was located only 3.5 kilometers away! That's one thing I was grateful for during my time visiting St. Thomas (and also St. John).....is that cell phone reception was perfect! I was constantly using my phone and Google Maps to get around. Otherwise obviously I would have been lost. Arriving at Mountain Top...I found parking immediately during the early afternoon. Approaching the building I was quite impressed. It was colorful and eye catchy. Many people mentioned it's a tourist trap, well.....I like tourist traps and I was happy to be there! Inside....the entire place was one giant sized souvenir and gift shop. That was ideal for me because I love to purchase postcards, keychains, magnets, shot glasses and plenty of other chachkies. Lol...this place was right up my alley! I was able to grab all my little trinkets here like I always look for when I travel. Heading towards the rear and situated in the back area of Mountain Top was a massive/tropical bar type setup where a posted banner stated....Mountain Top - "Home of the World Famous" Banana Daiquiri! Wonderful....I love daiquiris, especially banana.....and after roaming around the island of St. Thomas I was excited to sit down, relax and cool off with a drink. But little did I know the main attraction was behind the bar and outside on the overlook deck. Wow....just what I was asking for.....an absolutely stunning view overlooking St. Thomas! Whoa....the scenery here was much much better than anything I witnessed at Charlotte Amalie Overlook and Drake's Seat. For me, this was the real deal and I was in awe of the blue turquoise waters, panoramic setting and landscape! I immediately forgot about getting a daiquiri and gazed out into the distance! Yes....this was beautiful! I grabbed some real nice pics and soaked up the moment. Then I was ready for a banana daiquiri, lol. Alright well, although I forgot to take a picture of the menu, there were 4 different options of sizes to choose from. And yes....the prices were quite expensive! The smallest I believe was an 8 oz. for $9.95. I chose the second size - 15 oz. for $14.95 which came in a souvenir cup. The 3rd and 4th options were in even larger sizes for even more money! But...the bartender sold me on the whole taking home the souvenir cup. So with a $3 tip, it cost $17.95.....but I never let money hold me back when I'm on vacation. For me....the daiquiri was delicious with plenty of alcohol that afterwards when I finished the entire cup, I was definitely buzzing, but good enough to continue driving my car around the island. The bartender did allow for me to carry my drink outside onto the patio and overlook so I could appreciate more the picturesque surroundings. I really did enjoy just hanging at looking at the views while sipping on the daiquiri. It gave me a moment to enjoy just how far I traveled to get to such a terrific view. Finally, I grabbed a shopping basket and walked around the entire store (which was pretty big) grabbing all the keepsakes I needed representing my time from St. Thomas. In all, I'd say I spent about 2 - 2.5 hours here at Mountain Top. Reflecting back, I was grateful to have found this place. Not only did it offer the majestic backdrop of St. Thomas, but it gave me an opportunity to relax and freshen up with an island drink including picking up all my souvenir items for my vacation. And...I was thrilled to have discovered Mountain Top in the St. Thomas guidebook of "Things To Do". Who woulda thought picking up a regular ole pamphlet from the baggage area at the airport would come in so handily?!

Popped up here to check out the view, have a dacquari and relive one of the stops on our wedding day 10 years ago. It is pretty kitchy, with a strong pirate these, but that is OK. It is pretty much a huge store, a bar, and a deck outback looking over the North coast of St Thomas. It is a tourist stop, but it is also worthwhile. The drinks were pretty good and not insanely priced, the view was definitely worth the drive and the t shirts were actually not overpriced.

The tourist trap of mountain top is open again after hurricane irma and Maria. 1/3 of this store is out of commission due to product damage but they still have a great variety of souvenirs, clothing, jewelry and rum to select from. The famous Banana Daiquiri station at the back of the store is also open. Pricing of everything is still pretty steep but there aren't many other options right now to get these kinds of things if you're coming in on one of the cruise ships. I always referred visitors to Kmart to get souvenirs to take back home bc it's the cheapest but those stores are just nasty right now. Pearl jewelry is all 50% off so there are some good deals to be had here. It also looks like mountain top didn't get much damage on their observation deck. The look out is still in tact and it's a nice spot to sip on a drink and take in the natural AC out there. It's worth the trek up the mountain for the view of the British Virgin Islands and a drink! #St.Thomas #USVI

Beautiful views!! This was a really nice place to stop at on my cruise aboard the symphony of the seas. Even though there isn't much to do up here, the view itself is AMAZING! Do NOT miss this if you have the chance. Also if you want to see a full tour of this place just search MrBucketlist St. Thomas Mountain Top. Enjoy this view!

They had an amazing selection of souvenirs and the view is also super nice. I would also recommend if you needed to find a clean bathroom or a pit stop for snacks.

So this is a four star place mostly for the AMAZING VIEW! It is totally worth the crazy drive up there and don't be scared off if you don't have a SUV/Jeep as our little Nissan Versa totally made it up there:) I also believe many of the open aired taxis go up there if you don't want to drive there or are a bit intimidated by it. Basically it is your typical touristy shop so if you need to find a few last minute gifts it is perfect. I am not much for these kind of places BUT their award winning Banana Daiquiri made the shopping so much more pleasant! My suggestion is go directly to the bar, get a drink, do a little shopping and then go out and enjoy what I think is one of the most amazing views on the islands. I also like that they have a map that shows what islands you are looking at.

Mountain Top is the Walmart of tourist traps. The one souvenir shop to rule them all. The grand Poobah of tchotchke shops. Basically, it's a massive building located, as its name would suggest, on the top of a mountain. I can't think of a reason to go on one's own but it seems like the kind of place that will be on every island tour. That said, it's not without merit. There is a bar that should keep the non-shoppers entertained and the view from the far side deck is spectacular. I was just left wanting to at the ocean instead of at Mountain Top.

I came here for the banana daiquiris, but stayed for the views. This place was recommended on Trip Advisor, several reviewers said you MUST try the banana daiquiri. It was unimpressive, crowded, expensive and needed more banana. This is a primary stop for many tours, so it gets crowded. There's a large gift shop that sells standard souvenirs and snacks, the bar is in the back of the shop along with doors that exit to beautiful, sweeping views of the island. I would not return here, but if it's your first time on the island, it's a great place to take pictures and take in the scenery... and any daiquiri is refreshing on a warm day.

I would say this is a must visit in st Thomas. This is the second time we've been, and the scenery from the deck out back is incredible! It's also a awesome place for gifts, and banana daiquiri's, although the daiquiri's are a bit pricey.

We went hair to get souvenirs and the prices were highly overpriced didn't buy anything but they do have some Ookay drinks at the bar but I recommend if you wanna buy souvenirs just buy them off the street at the little places that sell them because here everything is overpriced

Let me start off by saying, your ears will pop driving up to this place. Mountain top shows the best aerial view. When arriving to Mountain top, it's very windy and feels great. This place has one of the best gift shops I have ever seen. Nice quality, tons of options, if you want souvenirs for your trips buy them here. They may not be too cheap, but they're definitely better than most of you will find out there. Mountain top also offers some of the most delicious bananas daiquiris I have had on the island. I suggest anyone coming here should try daiquiri. But the one part I loved the most was outside the balcony that has some of thee best amazingly views. Definitely add this place to your bucket list if you love to site see on this island. You will also Meagans Bays, you're about 1500 feet from it but the view is priceless in person

Oh this was a very challenging and somewhat scary ride to drive to the top but was it was definitely rewarding! Awesome awesome view of Magens bay plus the whole area Virgin Island (including the UK)!!! Great and reasonably priced gift shop! Clean and modern! There is a bar which serves the famous banana daiquiris ... a small is $10.95 if you want a souvenir cup that will cost $15.00 but you get more drink! I didn't care for it (they sell other drinks) but my wife LOVED LOVED IT!!! Food choices are very very limited. TIP: Go on a clear and sunny day! Go after lunch! Suggestions: more friendly staff ... more smiles more happy... add some seating out doors on that gorgeous deck! Serve a real lunch!

Definitely a nice spot to visit when on the island, we really liked the view from this mountain top. There is a picture display on the deck which shows all the nearby islands, which is super cool and helpful and the view itself is breathtaking. We got to take a lot of nice pictures with that cool backdrop of islands and Magen's bay. Of course this spot is famous with tourists but I don't like to call this as a tourist trap as no salesperson pushed us to buy anything from the gift shop. Overall a great spot to visit and definitely not to be missed!!

We went to Drakes Seat and then to Mountain Top. The view from Mountain Top is amazing! We just had a beer on the lookout deck but it was super cold and tasty. The souvenir store is the best we have found on the island for its huge selection and prices. Really enjoyable!

If you are ever in Saint Thomas... you have to visit mountain top. It's a must! The view alone is worth it! The best view of Magens Bay and the Virgin Islands! The banana Daiquiris are worth the drive. Delicious! It is touristy so be prepared. There is ample parking which is great. FYI... it does get busy during cruise season so I recommend you check out when the ships come in because it is a popular excursion and it does get packed! The view and the banana daiquiris are worth the visit. Give it a try. Will be back.

A great view of the beautiful island of St Thomas. Our taxi driver took us here and recommended this to be one of the top places around for the scenery; not to mention the delicious Banana rum daiquiri that we had inside the store!

The BEST gift shop on the entire island. Quite possibly, my favorite drink ever as well. The selection and prices were amazing. The view was spectacular! It is difficult to get to, but well worth it!

Customer service: 3 stars: it was neither bad nor exceptional. Selection of merch: 5 stars: do not buy souvenirs near the market place or village. This place has better quality and you won't have to haggle or deal with begging ass people trying to sell you their wares. Store: 5 stars: they have the a.c. blasting!v They also sell nutty Bavarian nuts, misc snacks, soft drinks, and water for reasonable prices. Shirts are either 2 for $20, 2 for $25 so on and so forth. They sell everything from magnets to some toiletry items. There is also a bar area where you can have drinks made and put in a souvenir cup. There is an area outside where you can take scenic photos. They also sell rum cakes, rum, and other liquors. If you need an extra bag to carry on your flight they have those too from $10-$25 depending on how big and the style. Everything you could want or need is here, don't waste your time going from store to store in the heat and it's hot a.f. in those stores as well. This is a one stop shop without the hassle. Overall: the best place in st thomas to get reasonably priced souvenirs. I dropped $100 and purchased 6 rum cakes, 2 magnets, roasted pecans, 5 adult t shirts, and some other knick knacks. I think that's a good price for all that I bought. I would diffinitely come back.

Mountain top is advertised as a giant souvenir store with great banana daiquiris. We almost didn't go since it just sounds like a tourist trap-- however, we decided to go and we truly enjoyed the views! Be sure to get here with plenty of time before they close to enjoy the views while sipping your delicious daiquiri! As other reviews state, service isn't the best but it's worth the view and drinks.

"World famous Banana Daiquiri" Im not someone who drinks other than 1 drink socially, and i had 2 banana daiquiri. They truly amazing. I totally recommend the trip to Mountain Top. In order to get there you will experience hill slope hills, so hold to your seats. Once you get there, expect a very long although very rewarding line to get your banana daiquiri. This is your stop for souvenirs!!! The view at Mountain Top is amazing, the entire island and the cruises can be seen from there. Grab your good cámara for the pics..
