We Love Mountain Town! My very favorite vinegars and olive oils. Every shipment I’ve ordered has been perfectly packaged too. We are local, so it’s fun to stop by when we’re in Park City. I Love the shop - It’s a Must every time!

Google
Wanted to love this store, but the lack of employee interaction ruined it. The sign for samples just says “ask for assistance” so I did. The elderly employee handed me the little cup and walked away, not explaining that if I wanted a second sample to compare that I have to ask for a new cup. So if you want to get scolded like a child and then given glares the whole rest of the time for not being told that the cups are one time use, then by all means shop here. The employee did not offer nor explain about how the samples work and just walked away and never checks in on you again. There is also not a single price tag for any of the olive oils or balsamic. The sampling area requires a lot more attention and explanation than what was given.

Google
Amazing products. The The vinegar and olive oil’s are incredible. In addition to the selection, quality of these products I find the pricing to be very reasonable. Great customer service and shipping is amazingly fast

Google
I have used Mountain Olive Oil for multiple corporate gifts, and I love working with them. Jessica is always on time, the product looks great, and my guests love it. I will continue to use them!

Google
I've been buying your oils and vinegars for years. They are truly delicious, store well, and I love all the different flavors that you offer! These make for a great gift and are staples in our household.

Google
I will genuinely never go back to grocery store olive oil !! I love the large selection of flavors and pairings that MTOO provides. My cooking has taken leaps and bounds since I started my collection of oils and balsamic, as well as they provide as great alternatives to things like veggie oil as well as butter(the butter olive oil on popcorn *chefs kiss*) ! I highly recommend trying the Tuscan and black currant pairing, I will eat them in just about anything from Brussel sprouts to steak!! They also have some of the CUTEST home decor, I specifically love their hand towel selection and regularly get gifts there for family and friends. Lastly, I love the girls who work there, Jessica, the owner, is so kind and so knowledgeable on everything olive oil/balsamic. as well as Candy is the sweetest lady you’ll meet, and was happy to help us out!! I can’t recommend this place enough !!

Google
The owner was so knowledgeable and kind. He offered up multiple samples and explained so much about the process and flavors. We bought the garlic olive oil and the herby dark balsamic and they are the best oils I've ever had. They have the cutest shop and we're the nicest people. Highly recommend stopping in and getting a bottle of flavored olive oil!

Yelp
Website is down. All I get is a wordpress error. Not sure how long this has been going on. It's working! bad timing on my part. BTW , you must try the Steak yer Claim spice, I won't eat steak without it!

Yelp
This is a go-to shop for my boyfriend and I. We always get balsamic vinegars from here and refill our bottles when empty. It is situated upstairs in one of the cute historic buildings of Park City Main Street, and is a wonderful place to shop for gifts. They let you sample their vinegars and oils before buying, and I highly recommend sampling a few because I have found so many exquisite flavors of balsamic vinegar that I never would have been open minded to try before. Some of my favorites are the peach (white balsamic great for summertime), fig, strawberry, and black currant. My boyfriend and I have quite a collection of them now, and we like to rotate between them as we eat salads pretty often and these make every salad taste amazing. Pro tip-- pay the little bit extra to get the rubber pour-control spout thing that they sell at the cash register. It helps control the vinegar from making a mess, and reduces waste by quite a bit. It is so worth it and will make your salads more well-covered without being drowned in vinegar at the bottom.

Yelp
I was visiting Park City last week and had been told to stop in this shop. They had a book there that I was hoping to purchase multiple copies. When I asked the shop keeper a question she was so dismissive as she looked my attire up and down (I clearly mis-packed for cold rain.) Now thinking about it I'm regretful I let this rude lady ruin my day. It is a good reminder to treat people kindly. I hope I never offend someone like she did me. I can tell you this encounter with a curt snobby woman soured my take on Park City. My advice would be steer clear of this shop.

Yelp
My love & affection for extra virgin olive oil [evoo] started with Mountain Town Olive oil 4 years ago . I came to Park City Utah & serendipitously saw the occurrence of Park Silly, the downtown Sunday Farmers Market. There was a small booth where I tasted a few flavors...KAPOW...love at first taste. I had never been into butter, oils, or balsamics before. Whatever I had used was just...sparing & ordinary. But this evoo was golden, magical, stupendous & giddy-inducing. I was astounded & made a foray to the actual shop on Main St in Park City. It was love at 1st sight as I tasted a few evoo oils & balsamics. I d'oooohed at the splendor in the shop. Again, like the dynamic moment a few days prior, all evoo's (yes...ALL!) tasted were smooth, peppery, flavorful with that sting in the throat. It's a bit like wine. It's lovely to fall head over heels. I'm not as enamored of the mild intensity evoo's as I enjoy that je ne sais quoi kapow. Now, in 2020, with the advent of Covid, I was only allowed to taste 2 this year & did buy both robust intensity Favolosa & Koroneiki, both Chilean evoo's. My advancement in knowledge of oils & balsamics has progressed. I'm tasting them like fine wines. I no longer buy too many at a time 'cause not only is there mail order but I want an excuse to return to Mtn Town Olive Oil shop. Its like oozy candy for the soul.. And save your bottles not only because of precious earth resources but because you get a 20% discount with them. I love my olive juice!!

Yelp
Let's start with the olive oils and vinegars are extraordinary and fairly priced. The selection is enormous and the store is a cook's dream come true with all the interesting gift items. Jessica has put together a wonderful, knowledgeable staff. The bonus for me is the Next Course cooking classes. I look forward to them every summer we come out here. Both Deanna and Kelly show you how to use the oils and vinegars in great recipes. They both are pros and make cooking even more fun. I actually took my husband to a class and he LOVED it. Thank you Jessica, Peggy

Yelp
A must stop while visiting the village! Along with a friend we spent quite a bit of money here, but it was easy when the staff was so friendly and accommodating. They practically tie you down and force feed you the various oils, yet you don't mind too much because they are all fantastic. Make sure you also check out the spices; they have a great variety that served as excellent and unusual souvenirs for the folks back home. The right side of the store features non-food items and we also found things there that we liked including clever towels and amazing-smelling soaps. The olive oil gift sets are really the way to go, we gave one to our friends that were watching our dog while away and it was all packaged up perfectly. Again, you really need to stop in here if you're in the area.

Yelp
Incredible assortment of homemade vinegars and oils at this cheerful Main St boutique. The staff are very helpful and pleased to let you taste whatever is in their metal jugs. Do take them up on it! We loved the aged balsamic vinegars made with various fruits.

Chris T.

Yelp
Amazing product, great time tasting, and super friendly and helpful staff! Had a large box shipped back to Miami. Arrived within a few days and perfectly packed. Looking forward to ordering more soon!

Yelp
Such a great stop while shopping along Park City's Main Street. They have tons of oils and vinegars, all that you an taste test, with experts on site that can help you pair oil/vinegar or just give you ideas in general for your meals. They also have a ton of fun gifts, soups, bread mixes, and more.

Yelp
We love this store! The products are quality and the staff member ringing us up was so kind and appreciative. We felt so welcome here. We were amazing by the variety of products and love the bacon pepper jam they carry especially.

Yelp
Normally I go to visit family in the area around 4th of July and/or Christmas time, and I make sure when I am in Park City to stop by Mountain Town Olive Oil store. I am such a fan and consumer of olive oil that I have somehow become the 'olive oil evangelist' to my friends who don't have this type of oil as primary in their culinary background (for example for my Indian friends and colleagues, who do not normally use olive oil). So this is the type of store where I get that special bottle that it is at the same time a souvenir from my mini vacation and a new cooking adventure for the recipient. I like this store because they are very friendly and sometimes I even go get a shot of oil and then don't buy anything (at that moment) and zero pressure to buy.

Peggy G.

Yelp
I recently called to ask a question about free shipping as I live in AZ . The women I spoke to was very rude & it left a bad taste in my mouth. I will purchase my oils here in AZ from now on.

McKenzie P.

Yelp
Went to the Next Course olive oil class and it was so great! The food was delicious the olive oil and vinegars were paired well with the recipes that we tried. We were given time afterwards to shop with a discount and had great service. We look forward to coming to many more classes!
google avatar

Yelp
I thought olive oil was olive oil...boy was I wrong. If you are wandering around Main Street, definitely stop in. The daily tasting pairings of oil and vinegar will show you how different olive oils can be.

Yelp
This place is AWESOME. My fiancé and I are here on vacation and we wanted to get some gifts for our family. Everyone was very friendly when we walked in, Mary was the one to help us. We told her what we were thinking, she asked us what kind of food our family liked and based on our answers she gave us different pairings to sample. Everything she gave us was soooo good! She's incredibly knowledgeable and super enthusiastic, loves what she does. Donna checked us out as Mary was finishing getting our stuff together. Donna is super sweet and all of their products are so affordable! Can't want to give everything we bought to our families. Thank you Mary and Donna for everything!

Yelp
I feel guilty...I tasted about half of the around 30-something different kinds of Olive Oil...all so special and delicious...but I didn't actually buy anything...sorry! The staff was friendly and cool about this. Most bottles run $13-16 each, but Truffle Oil is about $35 each. Luckily my friend bought a bottle of the Mushroom Sage oil...a wise choice!
google avatar

Anna S.

Yelp
This tasteful little shop on Main Street is one of those places that can even induce coupon-crazed old me to relax, to leisurely stroll, to examine ingredient labels rather than price stickers, to want to sniff vinegars as fragrant and beautifully bottled as designer perfumes, sample truffle oils, and actually consider that cheaper isn't always better. Mountain Town Olive Oil is the kind of specialty foods store that makes you want to wrap up in a pashmina and browse through all day examining flavored salts and handmade soaps whilst chatting with the friendly staff (and the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable), in your best breezily cultured, Ina Garten-voice. (And then if you're me, you come crashing back to reality, you pick out a few items that you think are the most worth the price, and then you get the heck out of there before you leave with a purchase so small at a cost so high that it makes a shopping spree at Whole Foods seem budget-conscious). In my case, I bought a package of truffle pasta ($10, which will allegedly feed four people, but in my case will probably feed just my face), and a package of truffle bouillon (there is a trend here...), because I've never seen such a thing before. The tiny store is absolutely lovely, elegantly arranged, with a select assortment of quality goods - foodie paradise. Definitely worth a visit.

Yelp
Mountain Town Olive Oil has by far the BEST customer service I have ever had the privilege of witnessing. Their product is of the highest quality with ridiculously fair pricing. They support the passion of cooking and make your dishes better with their product. I have had several interactions with many of the fine people of MTOO in person, at their tasting parties, via e-mail, and over the phone. I cannot recommend them enough.

Yelp
First off, the oils and vinegars they sell are delicious. I'm giving 3 stars for service. My husband and I walked in and we were greeted by an employee and she said if we wanted to try any to let her know. She was helping another couple out at the time. We waited to be helped and was given a taste test. We wanted to try several oil and vinegar flavors because we were planning to buy several as this was our second visit there and knew we love the other flavors we purchased in the past. But, we felt that maybe the 2 employees were annoyed by us because we wanted to try several more because they kept walking away and at one point they were both helping just one customer at the register. When we came before, one employee was at the register and one was helping customers on the floor. Perhaps we didn't look the part of a park city resident because we are from out of town so maybe we looked like we don't have $ to spend? I'm not sure but I've worked in retail before and if you want customers coming back, you treat them differently. I'm sad because I've loved taking a day trip to park city in the past because of the eclectic vibe there but this last visit was disappointing. We also received the same experience visiting other stores in town. I'm not sure that we'll be going back anytime soon.

Yelp
Found this place from an ad inside one of the tourist booklets when we stayed in Park City. I was pleasantly surprised by the vast selection of olive oils and balsamic vinegars. They let you try any of them too. I enjoyed it so much I ended up buying 2 olive oils and 4 balsamic vinegars to bring back to San Diego with me. My favorite is the 18-year balsamic, but I also liked the fig and the lavender one too. Prices are reasonable, especially with the tourist coupon!

Yelp
BEST OLIVE OIL EVER!!! For the past 4 or 5 years I have ordered their Tuscan Herb Olive Oil to make several dishes. The taste just isn't the same without it. Everyone raves over it & wants to know my secret. he he he ... ITS TUSCAN HERB OLIVE OIL of course. We also use it for dipping with bread... just add fresh ground black pepper & OMG YUMMMMMMMMmmmmm!!!! We went to the store while in Park City & it was so very nice as are all the people there. Now I place orders & have it sent. WE CAN'T DO WITHOUT IT, cause ITS THAT GOOD... REALLY! Oh & they're other spices ext. are yummy as well. We'd like to say THANKS TO ALL at MOUNTAIN TOWN OLIVE OIL for years of such wonderful service, & products. Ya'll are THE BEST - no other even comes close. HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL! Juanita McSwain

Yelp
When in Park City we usually walk past this place but recently we stopped in! I am so glad we did! The lady was super friendly and talked to us about our likes and what we were looking for! We walked out with 3 bottles of vinegars and one bottle of olive oil. Now i wish we bought more oil. The blood orange olive oil and the grapefruit vinegar is amazing together! Only thing we have on our salad! I used to be a creamy dressing girl and this totally changed my outlook. Now i want to try the Tuscan Herb olive oil another one posted about as well as others! We will be back soon!
google avatar

Shayla D.

Yelp
This place has delicious olive oils and balsamic vinaigrette's! The truffle olive oil was out of this world! Service is also great! They were out of blood orange olive oil, which I really wanted to try. They also have great gifts for friends and family!

Sheila W.

Yelp
Wow I am so thrilled my 2nd large order from Mountain Town Olive arrived in time for my mother in laws 91st Birthday. A kick ass salad with these great dressing options will be the most common conversation! I close them and they couldn't promise me I would get them in time. I decided to go ahead and order because I have tried 3 other companies snd Mountain Town is the best by a landslide! It's worth the shipping!

Yelp
I'm sad the Gateway location has been closed. I don't know if I will make the drive all the way to Park City to get olive oil. When I called to find out if they had moved to a different location in SLC, the person who answered the phone had a short tone and quite rude. She stated that they had moved from the Gateway a year ago!

Alyssa F.

Yelp
We had a great time at mountain olive oil! My husband and I participated in "the next course" and learned how to pair different oils and vinegars in a variety of dishes. The best was the strawberry ice cream! Deana, the chef, is extremely talented and puts a variety of flavors together. Jessica, the owner of MTOO, does an excellent job finding the perfect wine to pair with each dish. Great time! I highly recommend stopping into the shop and/or signing up for the next course!
google avatar

M A.

Yelp
My friend was practically dragging me up the stairs to check this place out. Little did she know all she had to do was "Taste over 20 kinds of olive oil and balsamic vinegars" and I would've beaten her to the front door! The owner personally infuses all of these various flavors of oils and vinegars, each one having delicate notes of oranges, cherries, herbs, and more. It was nice to get to try each one before choosing which to buy, and they ship anywhere so I was bound and determined to find something! I settled on a cinnamon pear balsamic and paired it with a light California olive oil with subtle hints of granny smith apples in it. The match up was a delicious blend on the bread - the owner truly knows her stuff! They're trying to add gift bottles for the holiday season, so if you know of someone with a love of balsamic and olive oil, keep checking the website (or the store if you live near town). I know what I'm doing for Christmas gifts... :)

Arlene H.

Yelp
My new favorite place to be in Park City!! Great cooking classes that teach you how to use the special olive oils and vinegars, and great wine pairings. Super friendly staff and also a variety of other products conducive to creating different and delicious meals.
google avatar

Louisa M.

Yelp
I think this place is nothing more than okay. I'm a big olive oil fan and the oils here are fine but nothing really special. Plus, the couple of times I've been in here the woman working was less than friendly. She even made snide remarks (TWICE!) when I purchased one bottle of olive oil each time -- her response? "You only want one bottle? Why aren't you buying more?" And she didn't say it in a FUNNY way either. Yeah, I'm pretty sure I just set foot in your store for the last time, lady.

suzanne d.

Yelp
My husband and I went in to taste their vast selection of olive oils and balsamic vinegars. We bought tickets to The Next Course, Tasting Class, held on Friday, August 21. It was fantastic. Chef Deanna prepared a 5 course meal and each was served with a chosen sample of wine. It was so very delicious. The food preparation was outstanding and the five courses gave us plenty of delicious food to eat. I would highly recommend this event.
google avatar

Tina B.

Yelp
This is a must stop in your next visit to park city. The store offers an extraordinary selection of olive oils and balsamic vinegars, spices, chocolates and honeys from around the world. Plan to spend some time sampling - they generously offer suggestions and anecdotes about the colors and flavors. After two visits, I finally picked just four bottles - blood orange olive oil, 18 year old aged balsamic, cranberry pear white balsamic and black current balsamic.
google avatar

Paul E.

Yelp
I love different olive oils and this place has a good selection. They also have pretty good olive oils, I use them for everything. You might then ask yourself, "why two stars?" The answer is simple, the lady who works there (lady with a hand tattoo) could not even be called competent or friendly. After making snide remarks and making me almost want to leave the store, she took so long ringing me up that the other people I was with had time to leave, shop somewhere else and come back. After all that she still couldn't get the register to work. I was buying over a hundred dollars worth of oil, knowing exactly what I wanted and couldn't get even mediocre service. I can't fathom the experience of the regular buyer. In summary good oil, terrible service. I would not recommend shopping in store.
google avatar

Ana C.

Yelp
Great staff, very knowledgable. And quite friendly and helpful. It can be intimidating at first but everyone is always helpful and willing to help. Taste lots of the various oils and vinegars. Also be sure to check out some of the locally sourced hot sauces, mustards and other condiments. The flavored salts are also worth a good look. If you like it hot - there are some great selections for you!
google avatar

Kate W.

Yelp
Really great staff. Very helpful and informative. Tried many types of olive oils and balsamics. The chocolate/coffee flavored balsamic was the absolute winner (so much so that we bought a bottle). The Lemon vinegar was a runner up! Very flavorful! Tried a few others - one to mention was the coconut flavored one. This was came on pretty strong, but the store worker encouraged that it's flavors are perfect once added to a salad or fish dish. I completely agree and think this could be a good option. Overall, great experience and so much fun to try different oils. A little tip, just take tiny little sips - this is oil we are talking about! On the other side of the store, there are little trinkets and interesting gift options. I noticed some good cookbook options as well as delicious looking teas. This seems like a great store to buy interesting, useful, and fun gifts!

Helene U.

Yelp
Calling form Los Ángeles, I had the best experience with Dana at the phone. She was very, patient, helpful and even deliver the products to the door herself!

Vickie K.

Yelp
I love this store. I just refilled 9 bottles of olive oil and vinegar. You get a discount when you recycle your bottles and after so many bottles you get one free. I wish they would design their own bag for refills. I bring my wine bottle bag that has 6 slots so that the bottles don't touch each other and it is easy to carry, I've suggested this many times and it would be great for advertising. I live in Wyoming and travel to Park City to buy my oil, in fact my whole family does business with Mountain Town Olive Oil. VSK RS Wyoming

Anthony D.

Yelp
The store itself, and the staff were great. Tried the food and wine tasting, and was deeply disappointing. Unorganized, very very small food and wine portions!! The chef was great, but the pairing and the portions were a joke for $80 a person.

Christin A.

Yelp
Jessica has put together a must-see destination on Main St. Super product offerings with great service/suggestions.

Chris C.

Yelp
Fantastic products and wonderful service. I haven't seen a place like this before where you can sample all the various oils and balsamic vinegars. I'll be back for sure.
google avatar

Laura C.

Yelp
I went back to this store a year later since I couldn't resist the products they sell - they are high quality and absolutely delicious. I am very pleased to say that this year was a complete turnaround! The staff is so helpful with recommendations for what to taste and their recommendations are spot on! great traditional stuff and super unique one of a kind finds as well! This will definitely be a stop for years to come. Don't miss out!
google avatar

Rebecca W.

Yelp
They took weeks to respond to my complaint that the corks break off in the bottle. When I finally heard back, they insinuated that it was my fault for not using them "in some time". I haven't even had them that long. It's clear that the glue on the top is the problem on all of the bottles we have. That's pretty pathetic customer service if you ask me.

Emily N.

Yelp
The oil is fine although the choices have dwindled over the years. Problem is that the owner is so unfriendly and rude. I thought maybe a bad day but I have been there now at least three times and it's the same. I really enjoy a boutique shopping experience with personable and knowledgeable staff. That will get me coming back, far more than even the product. They offer a points program and discounts if you bring back your bottles but I feel shamed by the owner anytime I even mention a discount. Maybe it's just the Park City vibe because I never felt that way at the Gateway store in SLC. So disappointing because I enjoyed the experience and product in the past but I won't patronize that store anymore and will tell my friends who might shop there as well.
google avatar

Travis S.

Yelp
I am not a good cook but this has changed my life! Love the Tuscan Herb and Black Currant on my steak! I was intimidated at first but the employees made me feel comfortable to ask questions and were quick to offer suggestions with my favorite foods to cook! Even if you don't buy its a great place to stop in and try different combinations but be warned...You will get hooked! Thank you Mountain Town Olive Oil!
google avatar

Amy B.

Yelp
On a visit to Park City I was walking by and had to stop in. I'm certainly glad I did. Rows upon rows of oils and balsamics. After several samples I purchased a garlic olive oil for my bf's father who loves garlic and loves olive oil (hello brownie points!). He loved it! I highly recommend popping in for some sampling and purchasing.
google avatar

Janet M.

Yelp
Still enjoying my balsamic vinegars from Mountain Town Olive Oil. I was there in February and thanks to the great customer service here, I was able to get my products before I headed to the airport after forgetting to pick it up at the store. I love putting the chocolate balsamic on strawberries and the lavender balsamic on salads.
google avatar

Sabrina S.

Yelp
Very interesting place for olive oil and balsamic fans. You can taste/smell the products prior to buying and that is unusual for a place like this any where else. Will be stopping in next time we're in town.
google avatar

Mark P.

Yelp
What a wonderful gem of a store in Park City! Jess and team have created a mecca for foodies amidst the typical tourist town stores of this busy mountain resort. Just take a couple steps up from the street and you're immediately immersed in a world of exotic olive oils, spices and sauces. We visited during the July 4th holiday and the staff greeted us with samples and freshly baked cookies. Yum! My wife used some of the spices we bought at the store for a BBQ chicken dinner tonight and it was delicious! We're definitely coming back next time we're in town.
google avatar

Britney H.

Yelp
There is a new store upstairs in the gateway mall downtown by Starbucks and it's amazing! They have all these amazing balsamic vinegars and olive oils in cute tubs with spouts so that u can try all the different kinds before u buy them. They have amazing clear flavors and such a verity. I love this little shop and will probably only shop her for olive oil and balsamic!
google avatar

Yelp
Great products, not-so-nice staff. Not one greeting or salutation. Given just a little bit of attention I would have had no problem loading up on gifts for my family and friends. But alas, minimal customer interaction = a minimal $10 purchase. Your bad.
