MOUNTAIN VIEW EXPERIENCE

This was a wonderful experience! The hotel had incredible views and really great service. We staying in the A-frame with the hot tub. The restaurant on site was an A++ for us. The food was delicious - the best we had on our entire trip. What to know before you go: - The Hot-tubs are only big “bathtubs”, so the water doesn’t stay heated. It’s a short soak if the weather is cool. It also takes all of the hot water for the cabin to fill the tub, so plan your shower accordingly. - There is no wifi in the cabins, only the main lobby. But, the lobby is comfortable and the WiFi is good. - There is a fire pit outside the room and a fire place they can light to keep you warm. There’s not heat or AC otherwise, but the cabin was nice. - The Llama experience is only during certain times of day. Be sure to contact the hotel to make sure you arrive early enough for the hot tub llama experience.

We really enjoyed all of the animals - that is what made it what it is. It is a really great business idea. The guys who helped us with the luggage and the guy who started our fire was great. The animals were so lovely and well taken care of which is really important to me. The ambience and design of the buildings was really cool. However, the service could really be improved as we found it very inconsistent. Some of the servers were extremely slow when we were one of the only people in the restaraunt. The morning we left for the airport we gave ourselves half an hour for breakfast but we waited forever for our milk for our coffee and then flagged down another server who brought it within two minutes. Then we waited such a long time for our breakfast that we had to leave without breakfast which is unfortunate because of how much it costs to stay there. I would expect the service to be a lot better given the price point. But overall we had a good experience with the animals.

Beautiful place with really cool vibes. The food was pretty good as well. Recommend avoiding the trucha as it was a bit fishy but drinks were great as was the curry! The curry was one of the best dishes we had in Peru. SO many llamas and a wonderful ATV tour, highly recommend their guide. This place is extremely close to the salt mines which are a must-do as well. Next time we’ll be staying here for the views and vibes for sure!

I absolutely loved my stay here. I originally booked the smaller room but somehow got a free upgrade to a hot tub chalet upon arrival which was amazing. I really noticed and appreciated the small details in the room, for example the salt lamp and the lighting in the shower. The views are incredible, the food is delicious and the whole atmosphere is just impeccable. Shout out to the lady on reception with the curly hair - I didn’t catch her name but her energy was great and she made me feel very at ease. I hope to return soon! 💖

This was an amazing place to stay if you want to disconnect and just enjoy nature. The cabins exceeded my expectations. Not only was it clean, it was a lot more spacious than the pictures look. Everything was great. Just make sure to turn off the lights and fire before bed to avoid moths from slipping in. The service was exceptional. Anything you needed, they got you covered in record time. From towel, to filling the tub, and picking you up, everything ran smooth. If you needed something all you had to do was send them a chat through WhatsApp. Location is unbeatable as well. Neatly tucked in the outskirts of Maras, here you have incredible views of the mountains, and stars. Llamas and alpacas roam the area. You can also have easy access to excursions to salt mines, and sacred valley. They also incredible food as well! We loved our stay.

We booked five nights at Mountain View Experience (8 months ago) for a trip this September and it exceeded all expectations. Staying here is not just a holiday/vacation, but a truly life-changing experience. To start, you have the best view in the entire Sacred Valley. Second, if you are a lover of nature and animals, you will be in heaven with llamas, horses, and dogs in abundance. Third, the kindness of the staff, whom we got to know by name and loved to see every day of our week long stay. Starting my mornings feeding the llamas was a highlight, followed by watching the horses and llamas wander across the acres of land at their leisure, herded back by the wonderful german shepherds (and other dogs) who are owned by one of the founders of MVE. Another important mention is that MVE took care of planning our entire trip for experiences and activities, free of charge. Many thanks to Anais, who probably spent a few hours with me via whatsapp. They provide so much valuable information, such as planning your hiking trips in order of altitude to properly adjust to the difference (I live at sea level). I also highly recommend you book the cacao ceremony with Louisa as a special, spiritual introduction to the Sacred Valley. Thank you to Rodney and Maria… we will never forget our trip and hope to return with the whole family soon.

1000/10 experience, a must do in Peru! I just went to the restaurant for a few hours, and it was an incredible atmosphere. The llamas and alpacas are EVERYWHERE! You get to feed them, take photos with them, and it’s an overwhelming amount of cuteness. If I had extra time I would’ve stayed the night. The food was also divine, I tried the Guinea pig, and I’m happy I had the chance to try it.

I would give 4,5⭐️ Actually everything was wonderful. We really loved the property and the restaurant — it’s all so pleasant and well thought out. The farm is amazing and the lodge is gorgeous. The views are spectacular. The llama bath experience is just unbelievable, but even without it, staying here would still be amazing. One of the restaurant servers was particularly delightful, though unfortunately we didn’t catch her name. The llamas are fluffy, adorable, and you really don’t want to leave their side. Honestly, everything from start to finish was fantastic. But… The booking process was a bit of a rollercoaster for me personally. At first, I tried to book through the official website and paid for the room, but no reservation was confirmed. They told me the payment didn’t go through. I still don’t know what happened to that money and I’m sorting it out with my bank. Then I booked directly through the manager via WhatsApp, asked if I need to book llama bath separately, requested a payment link (they made me amount “lodge + llama bath”), and I thought everything went smoothly. Right before our trip, they informed us that the lodge already included the llama bath, so we hadn’t needed to pay for it. We agreed to keep the extra amount as a deposit 🌚 it was really weird, why they didn’t know that bath is included 🙋🏼‍♀️ Despite the complicated booking process, our stay was overall great. If we return to Peru, I would definitely stay here again. Hopefully, they will improve their booking system so future guests don’t experience these issues.
