A little bit outdated but our room was comfortable and all that we needed. Beds were comfy and the views are beautiful. The only thing is that when we arrived in our room there was a VERY strong scent of cleaning product which was quite overwhelming, however the staff was very accommodating and did everything they could to help. The fridge in our room was broken as well, as a can of pop exploded while we were out and also froze all of our food that we brought so we had to throw most of it away. Overall, we had a good experience and would visit again!

This is a budget hotel so expect everything to look dated. However everything was clean and functional. The shower was strong and the bathtub was comfortable. The view was amazing!! The only downside is that the AC is loud and doesn’t get the temp low enough when it’s 30C outside.

I was a little nervous when I first pulled in but was instantly surprised. This little hidden gem was great for what I was needing. A safe, clean easily accessible place to stay.Though the carpet throughout is slightly dated the staff at check in and check out were polite and friendly and very helpful. The room was very clean (the floors, the bathroom and the beds). Very happy with my choice. A recommendation would be during your next renovation to remove the carpet and put in a hard type floor. a bigger go cup with liquid whitener for the to go coffee station would also be amazing. I look forward to my next stay.

My husband and I stayed here one night. At first when I arrived I was a little uncertain due to some construction on the first floor, but once I got to the room I really appreciated the corner view, the HUGE room, and the massive windows. The windows open so you can access the fresh mountain air. It’s fairly well surrounded by pine trees, which I love for privacy and for overall wellbeing. The water pressure was out of this world! The toilet may have done a double flush? lol. Everything was tidy, neat, and overall I felt quite safe. The bed was a little hard and the pillows were a little thin, but I was so tired I got past it pretty quick. The hotel was built when people still paid care to architectural features, so it’s quite lovely. The ceilings were very high! There is a convenience store just across the street and the walk there was so perfect. I think we paid around $160 altogether for the king corner suite, and I would definitely come back again. For the region, the price is great.

Overall, the stay was very nice. The standard that is help for Alberta is a very high bar I must be honest. But that is because of their expense and location. This spot was a quiet area with rooms of decent size and not much disturbances. And for place being so close to the mountains it is nice to not have that far to travel. Bathrooms were nice and had soaps, hairs dryers, towels, and everything needed for a short stay. Overall I was very happy. It's close to everything to be honest.

For the price paid for this room for two nights, I would have expected the facilities to at least work properly. Try to shower after arriving only to find out that the bathtub doesn’t drain. The girl from the front desk did her best to help us out, but the poor girl shouldn’t be having to snake a drain for guests. After climbing around mountains, hiking and doing activities, the LEAST a hotel in Canmore could offer is a decent shower. I shouldn’t be sitting in our expensive hotel room Googling “where to shower in Canmore”

It's ok. Place is a little older and is not sound proof at all. Location is right downtown offering walking distance to stores and restaurants. Service was excellent.

Yelp
Clean, quiet hotel with a clean room and clean bathroom. Room includes table to eat at, TV, mini fridge and products to sanitize to avoid spread of viruses and bacteria etc. No complaints. I recommend this place.

Yelp
Price - Very good! Used my expedia points and was under $60 for 2 queen bed room. Location - not central, but there are lots of places walking distance. Cleanliness - Bathroom was good, carpets are old. If you come out to snowboard or ski, its a great price. You are not in the rooms all day. Late check out was no problem. Alot nicer than Rundle mtn lodge for same price

Yelp
Stayed here for 2 nights during our Banff trip last weekend. We were honestly a little nervous after reading reviews, but were pleasantly surprised! For the low price we paid, we weren't expecting anything fancy. The room doesn't have a fridge, couch, or maid service. But we had clean beds and a good sized bathroom, and enjoyed our stay. Staff is very friendly & the place itself is a cute little inn. Would definitely recommend to someone looking for a clean, safe place to stay on a budget!

Yelp
We just arrived today after a long day and a long drive to find the toilet not working and the man working told us we would have to use a bucket to fill the back of it and we would get another room tomorrow or the toilet fixed. Not impressed with the room especially after seeing pictures of it before booking in which it looked much nicer, too tired to do anything tonight and they office closed soon after we arrived, may be finding another place to stay for our next night in Canmore.

Yelp
Nice quaint hotel. Friendly staff. Got a room with high ceiling and bay windoes. Very good value for the money. Free wi-fi.

Yelp
Can't beat the price. Okay, it's not a luxury resort, but it's clean, friendly, and the price is right. Very satisfied with what I received for the money. There is no on site restaurant and only tea and coffee service is included for breakfast. Easy free parking. Easy access to town centre and highway 1.

Yelp
I can take old and shabby but this place was dirty. The bathroom shower had hair as did one of our towels, I think the toilet stains were permanent. The carpet was dirty and there were stains on both comforters. The night stand was old and had cigarette burns all over it. We reported a back up in the tub on our first night and were told nothing could be done until the next morning. When my husband asked for another room there was not one available. We were finally given a nasty plunger and my husband cleared what ever was in there. Staff was hit or miss as far as being nice or not. Also no one cleans or restocks your room until you check out. If you want anything get it yourself. I have never been to a hotel with no maid service. The price was low I suppose this is why. That said we stayed at another place on this trip too, same price range but an excellent stay. We plan a return trip but will skip the Mountain View Inn.

Yelp
This is a small and cute hotel. It's old school, you get an actual key for your room. The beds are comfy, it's nice and clean and affordable. The downside is how loud it is in the morning when everyone is getting up and checking out. Especially being on the first floor, I was woken up by people going down the halls on the second floor.

Yelp
Was looking for a last minute place for New Years and this was the LAST room my friend and I could find anywhere near Banff that wasn't $300+ a night. We were wary, given the bargain price, but we're avid skiiers so we figured we'd brave it. We were DELIGHTFULLY surprised, this place was beyond expectations. The room was spacious, immaculately clean- the furnishings slightly outdated, but all in excellent condition, and the bathroom was spotless and bright with updated fixtures. True, no coffee maker in the room, but the bathroom did have a hairdryer- a luxury we weren't expecting. The room had a flat screen tv, and there was easy to connect to- fast and consistent internet. The desk staff was warm and seemed genuinely happy to have us. No pool or hot tub on the premises for the end of a day on the hills, but the gorgeous rec centre was only a 5-8 minute walk up the street and for $8, all the hot tub you could want (without the 'bros' that usually come with apres-ski hot tubs). They have a 'no noise' rule after 10 pm, which was reassuring as we were concerned that with the price, we'd end up with a pile of kids partying all night next door- but it was quiet and we had a great night all around. For the budget conscious, but not 'cheap' customer, this place is a great bargain for your buck.
