MountainView Accommodation, The Alpenglow Lodge Properties

The Alpenglow Lodge is conveniently located in the heart of Whistler Village on Main Street behind the public library. The units in the building operate as individual holiday rental units and can be found on most short term rental websites. The lobby and common areas have been recently renovated and are modern and clean. The outdoor pool and hot tub are nice highlights. The parking spots are snug but close to the elevator. The front desk staff are very friendly and know all the great spots in Whistler. I would highly recommend staying here.

Note I stay in hotels for 10+ nights a month and this is the first time I’ve had this experience. Assigned a queen room that was next to a VERY loud elevator and when I asked to move before getting bringing up any luggage, they had to call the property manager (Catharine) and said there is nothing they can do (no refund) and I can pay $90 to upgrade to a new room which was disappointing. No negotiations and I would have wished I booked another hotel for that rate and highly recommend doing the same going forward for others given the lack of customer service that the property manager in particular was willing to provide. The accommodations are fine and glad there is a fitness center. Location is great and next to everything in town. On busy weekends parking is limited below

Great location and friendly staff. This is a timeshare setup so rooms are owned by individuals and therefore all different furniture and design wise. The check-in staff knows which rooms are better so be nice to them ;) The balconies are great irrespective of which room you get. Paid parking underneath the building or cheaper at the central parking lots, which are a pleasant five minute walk away.

Love the staff. Shared areas and amenities are clean and functional. Only downside is the elevator is slow and staircase cannot be used to reach the ski lockers.

Great location. Awful customer service. I arrived on October 12, and during check-in, I was informed that I had to pay an additional $500 security deposit. This requirement was not disclosed in advance, which caused significant inconvenience. To make matters worse, I had to take a taxi to the Elevate office (the third party company responsible for managing some of the units there) – located outside downtown Whistler – to pay the deposit, as it could not be processed at the hotel. Elevate later sent me an email stating that the deposit would be refunded upon check-out. However, on the day of departure, I was informed that the refund would actually take an additional 7-10 business days, directly contradicting their previous communication. Throughout my stay, the communication from both Alpenglow and Elevate was unclear, and the customer service I received was far below expectations. Due to this experience, I will not be returning to the hotel and recommend other travellers to look for other accommodation.

I really like it, my room had its own kitchen, closet and bathroom, the bathroom with bathtub. I saw it as a little loft with a comfortable bed and fireplace! It is really close from bus station. It has pool and jacuzzi, unfortunately we didn’t have enough time to use them but they looks great. Excellent place!

This room has the best decoration, and the renovation is remarkable. It has a mountain view from the balcony and has standard appliances. The price is not bad. I went there in the end of April that the price was around 125. I bet it would be cheaper in May. The location is also acceptable. It is easy to walk to the marketplace within 2 minutes. Parking is 15 CAD for 24 hours.

Beautiful location, I had asked for some simple chores done but they said we had to do them our selves , There was someone’s smudged brown bronzor foundation on the elevator wall all weekend to describe how they are so benign to keeping the entrance and care of the place clean. The hot tub was closed when we arrived for the weekend , And we booked a 1 bedroom and pull down bed in the living room bed . But it ended up being a bachelor stay . No discount or acknowledgment of the fact that they didn’t have an open hot tub (not a big deal but it should be disclosed when booking) - The heater won’t turn off so it was stuffy . - Great location Clean on arrival, House maid (she’s blonde) super friendly and I only cleaned my suite because she was a sweet lady. Other wise there’s no customer service , sassy staff at the front . I lived in whistler , I moved away , I came back and it was recommended because of the location and pool with hot tub . I’ll give a good rating because it’s not my thing to leave a bad review , but I’ll leave what other people must be thinking . Good location, Just don’t expect anything else Management needs a mood check and a fine detail tuning for customer service appreciation because without customers this place would be closed
