Fair price, location is great as it's pretty close to King's Park, I love the beds, hot water in bathtub, and something I didn't expect which is the white noise from the freeway right next to it I found myself sleeping tight with the help of the white noise much to my surprise and I had 3 wonderful night of sleep. Wi-fi works for rooms near the reception I guess, you have signal but traffic doesn't work if you're staying in rooms far away from entrance

The accommodations are satisfactory, but several straightforward enhancements could significantly improve the overall guest experience. Specifically, the inclusion of functional drawers, a practical wardrobe, and a modern television with Wi-Fi and the capability to access personal streaming subscriptions (e.g., Netflix, Prime) would be beneficial. Furthermore, incorporating a small table to utilize the enclosed balcony and upgrading the plastic outdoor chairs at the dining table would enhance the amenities.Positive aspects include complimentary parking and convenient access to major roadways. The proximity to the central business district (CBD), a 10-15 minute walk, and nearby bus services are also advantageous. The kitchen is functional with basic cooking equipment, but again cooking oil especially for short term guests would be appreciated by guests. The environment is generally quiet and conducive to a hassle-free stay.I would consider a return visit if discounted rates are available. However, at the current pricing, which can be perceived as elevated, I would likely explore alternative options.

Bizarre place. 15 mins walk from Perth station and 5 from RAC Arena. Really should have everything going for it, but I have to concur with other reviews. The whole building could do with a lick of point. My apartment was good size, didnt use the kitchen so cant comment. Huge living area with comfy bed. Telly is tiny so rendered pointless. Bathroom is good, but only 2 bars of soap, no other amenities.Couple of spiders found as well. All in all, for a couple of nights its fine, but the place has huge potential if the owners wanted to invest.

The building and facilities are old and rundown, there's noticeable patchwork of walls and doors. BUT the place is clean, the beds are surprisingly comfortable and it has all the things you require. Plus, it's cheap and within walking distance to the city!

BUYER BEWARE. High strata fees of over $1500 a quarter AND there's not even a pool. Very VERY bad reviews from hotel guests about this place and now they're trying to sell off the tiny rooms as apartments for $75,000 - $99,000 more than what they're really worth. Many MANY sold for less than $200,000 now they're even poorer condition but trying to knock them off for almost $100k more. You don't want to live here and if you're an investor looking for an Airbnb income, you'll get bad reviews. The strata fees are outrageous.

Mountway Hotel Apartment: A Budget Gem for Asian Travelers in PerthI recently stayed at Mountway Hotel Apartment in Perth, and I must say it’s one of the best options in its price range, especially for Asian travelers looking for a long-term stay with self-catering facilities.Location: The hotel’s location is incredibly convenient for getting around. It’s just 1.1 km from the central train station, and you can hop on free bus services like the Red CAT, Blue CAT, or Green CAT, with stops only 100m to 250m away—perfect for easy commuting. Behind the hotel lies the stunning Kings Park and Botanic Garden. If you don’t feel like walking the 300m to get there, the Blue CAT will drop you off effortlessly. The accessibility to public transport and nearby attractions is a huge plus.Cleanliness: While the exterior might look a bit dated, the interior is surprisingly spotless. I booked a room for two, but the bedding and pillows provided were enough for four, which was a nice touch. Everything felt fresh and well-maintained, and I was thoroughly satisfied with the cleanliness.Facilities: The private kitchen was a highlight—equipped with a rice cooker, pots, pans, a toaster, a fridge, and enough cutlery, plates, and utensils for four people. They even provide coffee, which I appreciated. However, there are a few downsides: the electric stove is small and outdated, making cooking a bit slow. Also, there’s no salt or basic seasonings provided, nor chopsticks, which might inconvenience Asian guests. The bathroom features a very clean bathtub, but it lacks shampoo and body wash, so you’ll need to bring your own.Despite these minor drawbacks, I’d still rate Mountway Hotel Apartment as the best value for money in its category. It’s practical, comfortable, and ideal for Asian travelers who want to stay longer and cook meals to suit their tastes. I’d happily recommend it to anyone looking for a home-away-from-home experience in Perth!

Noisy room due to freeway traffic. Very poor wifi. Lucky if it works. Has a kitchenette but all appliances are old and and compromising for cooking. Bed is good 👍. It's cheap so don't expect too much. You pay for what you get.

They had a truck blocking the enter way to the car park and he was taking his time while cars needed to go in and reception allowed it. What a joke. He can’t park there, don’t let people park in the entryway to the car park. Use your brain. Useless reception.

Yelp
Probably bad luck and the fact I had to live there for a short while, but.. it's just kinda terrible. Uncomfortable, incredibly loud, the only view you have is of a cramped highway, housekeeping accidentally stole a stuffed toy and the staff were just kinda creepy. However this was a long time ago at a bad stage of my life so they have most likely improved considering the competition and the fact they are still in business, and I'm just one person so don't just take everything I said as the normal.
