Lovely, decadent, chocolatey treats! This place has a vibrant atmosphere with sweet nostalgic scents and charismatic staff. Definitely stopped here at least three times during the span of my trip.

We came here after dinner at the Ouray brewery rooftop bar. I got a soft serve cone of vanilla ice cream. It was the best soft serve ice cream that I’ve had in years. I absolutely loved it! There were so many options for other desserts too, which looked incredible as well. Everything looked clean and hygienic as well, which is extremely important especially for soft serve ice cream. The staff was very friendly and served me within five minutes of me entering the shop, despite the fact that we came during peak hours on Labor Day weekend.

A Sweet Little Gem of a Chocolate Shop Walking into this little chocolate shop felt like stepping into a dream—sweet, warm air wraps around you the moment the door opens, promising decadence. The aroma alone is enough to make you smile, but the real magic begins with that first bite of Belgium chocolate—silky, rich, and truly melt-in-your-mouth delicious. What truly set this place apart, though, was Sandra. Sandra is delightful, warm, and easy to talk to and she made us feel like old friends within minutes. We ended up staying longer to chat, completely enchanted by her stories. One of our favorites was about how plastic knives—yes, plastic knives!—became the standard to-go utensil for fudge. Who knew something so simple had such a quirky backstory? She also recommended a book that I immediately added to my to-read list by a journalist and social scientist. Fitting, since our conversation with her was a highlight of our day. This isn’t just a chocolate shop—it’s an experience. Come for the sweets, stay for Sandra. You'll leave with your hands full and your heart warmer. Thank you Sandra 💕 - Bri and Alex

Google
We ordered a Mexican latte and a cappuccino. When I opened up the cup to drink, I found that the latte was less than halfway full (!!), and the cappuccino was half a cup. Unbelievably disappointed. The latte with oat milk cost nearly $10 because they charge extra for non-diary options, and the entire order was nearly $17. What a ripoff.

Google
Going to a dedicated chocolate shop that roasts their own beans I had very high hopes for a good mocha, and with chocolate syrup being 3$ extra dollars my hopes were even higher. I splurged on the espresso whipped cream which made my mocha over 10$ for a 16oz, and it was honestly the most disappointing coffee I have ever had. It didn’t taste like coffee or chocolate, but just milk. For these prices it should be way, way better.

Google
Such a quaint location, really enjoyed our experience. I had the Lavender Hot Chocolate while my son had the Candy Cane Peppermint Hot Chocolate. The Orange Truffle is perfect.

Google
We stopped here twice on our honeymoon! Great ice cream, nice people, highly recommend especially after hikes or hot springs!

Google
Toffee coffee was the best, croissant also very good and moiterize, scones was american style with no butter as english style

Gabrielle B.

Yelp
Adorable coffee and chocolate shop in ourey. I came here after doing mount sneffles so I was suffering from "14er brain"...the result of hypoxia and return to normal life. I ordered a muddy hippie, which I thought was a dirty chai latte but I was surprised with a decadent chocolate beverage. It revived me and was delicious! I wish I'd tried some of the delicious looking chocolates too. Very nice place to sit and gather yourself after a hike.

Jim N.

Yelp
The chocolates here are really good. The "double fudge wow" shake was incredible. Get one, go outside, and eat it on the corner basking in the beauty of the mountains. It'll renew your faith in humanity and inch you closer to nirvana. Unfortunately I only got an after picture.

Rachael R.

Yelp
After a day of ice climbing at the Ouray Ice Park, nothing hits quite like a spicy Mexican hot chocolate. Rich and sweet, with a kick, this delicious treat warmed me right up. It was even better when shared with friends. The staff at Mouses was so accommodating, and I was happy to see there were non-dairy options on the menu. The space was decorated for Valentine's Day which was sweet, with hearts hanging from the ceiling. It was cozy and welcoming. I will definitely be back on my next annual trip to Ouray.

Anurag S.

Yelp
Handmade browny and the chocolate truffle were mind blowing. The latte was the best tasting ever

Anthony B.

Yelp
We had a really good chai tea here. Service was great and the two teens singing in the back made for a good laugh.

Sam A.

Yelp
To heck with calories and price. Just stop in and enjoy your coffee or shake, candy and ice creme. Try their famous "?" cookie.

Alice Z.

Yelp
Perfect spot for an ice cream treat on a hot day! I tried the chocolate ice cream and it was delicious. They have a few tables outside you can sit in the shade too

Coco G.

Yelp
You're welcomed in by the hearty aroma of ice cream, chocolates and coffee, as well as the smiling faces of the friendly staff. You can order at any of the three registers. There's some indoor seating but a lot of people take their orders to go. I recommend the Dirty Hippie (chai latte with a shot of espresso) or the Muddy Hippie (same as above with chocolate), the Scrap cookie (made with the imperfect chocolates of the day, so different every time!). If you happen to get the table by the front window in the side room, you can see the fantastic view of snow covered mountains (at least in winter). Check it out if you're ever in Ouray, CO. You'll be coming back for more!

Julia K.

Yelp
The latte was a tad bit too sweet for my liking, so I'd ask for less sweetener but great nonetheless! My fiancé loved his pumpkin spice latte, which says a lot because he's not a huge coffee drinker. The vibe was a *little* strange from the cashiers, but the people making our drinks were so sweet and friendly. The Apple Caramel Crumb Cake is DELICIOUS! Along with the blueberry muffin. We definitely will be coming back here. :)

Emily C.

Yelp
Stopped by for a scrap cookie ($3.50) while exploring Ouray on a Sunday afternoon. There was a line but it was moving pretty quickly. The base of the cookie was not incredibly sweet (almost like a shortbread cookie), which proved to be a great vehicle for all the fun chocolates, nuts, caramels, etc. baked into the cookie. Each bite tasted a bit different! Maybe not worth $3.50, but it was a fun afternoon treat. We didn't try anything else, but the coffees, shakes, and other sweets all looked tasty.

Madison R.

Yelp
The fudge and chocolates were amazing! Our favorite was the cookie scraps. Highly recommend and Evan was amazing with recommendations and was so friendly!

Michaella D.

Yelp
One of our favorites on vacation! Everything we have ordered has been good. The scrap cookies are a must. You can't go wrong with a stop here!

Ariella W.

Yelp
Clean restaurant! super friendly service! We came in for drinks. I got a hot organic peppermint tea and my husband got a mexican hot chocolate with the expresso whipped. We both enjoyed our drinks. The handmade chocolates looked lovely! They did have a gluten free muffin and/or gluten free brownie available for purchase if you are gluten free and wanting some snack food.

Patricia S.

Yelp
Great coffee, friendly staff, and delicious ice cream. I haven't had the chocolate yet- however it looks and smells Amazing!

Marcy S.

Yelp
We ordered a double shot of espresso and it was delicious! We also purchased a magic bar and loved that as well. I'm not giving this place 5 stars because of the woman who took my coffee order. She was extremely rude and snappy. I was ready to walk out but I really wanted an espresso. She obviously hates her job and dealing with people. The young man who got my magic bar for me and rang me up was a delight! He totally saved my overall experience here.

Tiffany B.

Yelp
The Mouse Tracks ice cream was delicious! The friendly customer service was sincerely appreciated and we loved the ambience here. Definitely worth a stop if you're in Ouray.

Hannes C.

Yelp
Busy. But good Ice cream and nice staff. Good place to do remote work with wifi and decent seating.

April F.

Yelp
Super cute cafe - they have amazing hot chocolate- I got the one with lavender and it's Amazing!! You have to stop in for drink, they had some delicious looking chocolates and icecream ! Check it out!

Ruby A.

Yelp
If you are looking for something super extra but also delicious drink- this is your place. We came here in Oct of 2020 in the beautiful town of Ouray and we miss it ever since. I don't know what it was about these drinks we got but it was so freaking delicious our minds were just blown away. Now is it a strong coffee? Probably not. But was it tasty and possible bad for diabetes- probably!! But hey it was a pandemic and we didn't know what the future held ;) j/k but it really was such a tasty drink. Both of them. I'm not big on Chai but their Dirty Hippie drink could've changed my minds They are also known for their scrap cookie which was soft, chewy delicious goodness! Highly recommend this place. They also had ice cream if I'm not mistaken. Friendly staff. Overall great experience and even better place! Plus you have the Bart view if you sit outside and take in the beautiful buildings and mountains.

Victoria H.

Yelp
The ice cream did not look like they made it (shipped?) but they had a big variety of chocolates. But they were helpful but not necessarily friendly They had some seats open when we were there but overall plenty of seating and nice store chocolate is amazing

Breaynn T.

Yelp
To get out of a blizzard, we came in to get some hot chocolate. Service was a little slow, but once we ordered it was quick. Hot chocolate was great!!

Barbara J.

Yelp
After visiting Mouse's and buying a selection of chocolates, we returned home and discovered that four of the truffles I'd thought I'd ordered weren't in the box. I was so disappointed. I contacted Mouse's and the woman I spoke to cared so much and was so helpful, even checking our original order to see whether we'd paid for the missing truffles or not (we had not). She took this (very small) order, packed up the four missing truffles and had them delivered to our door within two days. I was so impressed with this level of caring customer service that I am a fan and customer for life. I highly recommend Mouse's for both the amazing chocolates and their stand-out thoughtful customer service.

Amy B.

Yelp
They have a lot of good looking sweets, so we opted for ice cream. Unfortunately, it was icy and not creamy. I would not recommend coming here for ice cream since it not good quality. Their chocolates look great and the service staff is helpful and kind. The business was packed since there aren't many options for sweets or ice cream in Telluride.

Raymond J.

Yelp
Just have to say, not sure how a coffee place can make it in a small town that opens at 10am. Heck it's almost time for lunch. But nevertheless we try to support the local business and wait because it's not just coffee it's chocolate. It's family owned and the history of roasting in 19th century Italian coffee roasters. They make their own chocolate and a family of chocolate makers. Today's experience needs a bit of constructive criticism. We were 2nd in line but because they have 3 registers they start taking orders right away and the 2nd person in line actually got the 5th order placed because I didn't know, never been here before. It's as good as Starbucks but at least as expensive and my drink took 12 minutes to arrive at the counter. The wait wouldn't have been so bad but I'm waving away flies like I have a side of beef hanging around my neck. I know flies are a tough problem to deal with but omg it was bad. We did additionally but coffee fudge and chocolate bar to take home. The chocolate bar was really good. Thrown off a bit because it says coffee chocolate, but it's straight chocolate no coffee. The fudge sane thing says coffee, so I'll update the review on the details of that. All other things I can deal with my feedback is to get something to control the flies and I'll be back on the next trip

Toni S.

Yelp
Stopped in on our walk to Ouray Falls for some quick sugar. We really enjoyed the Dark Chocolate Toffee candies! They were excellent!

Debra M.

Yelp
Everytime we pass through Ouray we stop here. The shakes are to die for! And the hand dipped chocolates and the cookies are so yummy! Everyone working here is so friendly and on it! Cute inside area and outdoor seating.

Brian B.

Yelp
Came here for dessert after having a late lunch. The place is located conveniently on the Main Street and was a couple hundred feet from our hotel room door. The shop has a large variety of ice cream, chocolate, coffee, cookies, etc. I went with the two scoops (which was really 4 scoops). I chose mouse tracks and mint chocolate. My wife and I also got some peanut clusters and a scrap cookie. Everything was delightful! We were able to snag a table outside the building, so it was nice to watch traffic go by as we enjoyed our dessert.

Oskar C.

Yelp
Good ice cream and big scoops. Friendly service too. I highly recommend it! Great views when you sit outside :)

Michelle T.

Yelp
Ice Cream Coffee Chocolate and Cookies what more could you ask for oh and fudge Ice cream was creamy The service great! And a very clean place to sit and enjoy your purchase .

Caroline G.

Yelp
Cute little store for pick-me-up food in Ouray, Colorado. Feeling a little drowsy from driving and wandering around the cute town of Ouray, we stumbled across Mouse's Chocolate and Creamery. The ice cream was delicious and o oh $4.25 for a single scoop. The coffee was also delicious along with the vanilla milkshake. THE MAGIC BARS WERE THE BEST THINGS EVER!! They were so delicious and it just melted right in my mouth. The staff were friendly and immediately took customers showing the speedy but intimate manner that they treat their customers. If you are thirsty but don't want to pay for water with your food, they have a little water station you can stop buy. The rustic feel of the restaurant with the family friendly vibe was quite nice. Next time I stop by Ouray I will definitely come in to Mouse's.

Kristen M.

Yelp
Just ride about 7 miles come to get ice cream and it was amazing.First of the atmosphere and environment is so welcoming.Ice cream is the best ever. Also Callie was super kind and helpful.

Angela G.

Yelp
Best scrap cookies ever! Every time we go through Ouray we HAVE to stop here. There may be a line but promise its worth the wait!

Lauren K.

Yelp
Really good. Really great service. Had caramel latte and vanilla latte in the morning. Both so good. Came with an option for espresso whipped cream that was bomb. Later in the day came back for ice cream and chocolates. So good. Had the marshmallow with caramel that was chocolate dipped, yummmmmm. Excellent.

Forster F.

Yelp
Except for the Prissy little girls scooping ice cream with an attitude everything else was great.

nicole f.

Yelp
The creativity! The deliciousness. The hospitality! The magic of perfect coffee We'll be back each day of our visit! Be sure to try the espresso whipped cream!

Kelsey R.

Yelp
Went in for a little night snack and ordered the shameless espresso drink, it was amazing!!!! Great service and had a good laugh at how lily spelled the name "Jason"

Tina T.

Yelp
Place is super packed, but the lines move very quick. What was a little confusing to me was how the line works so FYI: there is seemingly 1 line, but when you're 'next' you move to counter of the treat you want (icecream, chocolate or drinks). So, if no one ahead of you is getting a drink, you can in a way cut the line to get a drink as long as no one is at the drink counter. I went 3 times during our week stay just to get the Iced Matcha Latte - and the taste stayed consistently good. I added Lavender syrup and could still taste both flavors (one did not over power the other) and overall the drink was not overly sweet. I love the lavender matcha combo and get it whenever I see it, and this one definitely is in my top. I got the Alpenglow- out of curiosity, cause I saw someone get it and was interested. I am not the biggest OJ fan - so if you are in my boat I recommend asking for no OJ as it overpowered the alpine.

Lindsey J.

Yelp
Get the Mexican Mocha... but cold! The chocolate treats are also excellent! We will return.

FoodLover F.

Yelp
Everyday of my five trip in Ouray, I went in and bought a scrap cookie. It is very good. It pretty much tasted the same every day, The Oreo milk shake is tasty but more like milky vs. Thick ice cream. I thought I ordered a milkshake and it was a thin drin The process of buying items here is not that great, if people are getting ice cream or looking at display of chocolates, they block the areas to pay.

Heather S.

Yelp
This place is a super cute chocolate shop. We stopped in here multiples during our stay.

Jen L.

Yelp
Yummy treats! Coffee, chocolate, ice cream and more. Hard to walk in without getting something for my sweet tooth. Love the truffles. I got a few to sample while we vacationed in town.

Cecil V.

Yelp
It's good for where and what it is. I do not drink coffee So I cannot comment or speak to that. What I can say is....The ice cream is low quality commercial. The chocolate is pretty good, better than some others for sure. I wouldn't say the chocolate is exquisite or exceptional though. Yet at the same time I wouldn't say it's bad or don't go. Yet again at the same time.....there is no where else so to go in the area. The scrap cookies used to be my favorite for years. But now they are not actually scrap cookies. They do not use the scraps of the chocolate and bakery as the used to. Or in season for that matter, yet it seems like season doesn't end there as much nowadays. Ouray has been rediscovered and is getting busier by the year. The scrap cookies used to be soft and chewy yet now they are hard as a rock most of the time. I say this as I'm a scrap cookie hunter and they used to have the best. The rest of their cookies are hit and miss as far as the soft and chewy to hard as a rock factor as well. I would say give er a go and see what ya think.

Bruce B.

Yelp
This is the first and only place I've ever had a peach milkshake. Damn, it was good! REAL GOOD! I also bought a bunch of chocolate, both dark and white. Again, all good! ALL REAL GOOD! During my three days in Ouray, I kept coming back for more. They looked at me strange when I asked for a chocolate covered mouse, though. Not on the menu, apparently.

Shilpa T.

Yelp
Was amazed with their varieties of coffee and chocolates, went for a coffee can came out with chocolate box :) Must must visit place if you are in Ouray, CO

Tracey B.

Yelp
This place is devine with sweets. 4 stars because they only have 1 size coffee- 16 oz- and sometimes you just need that extra-large to-go cup!

Ali B.

Yelp
Stopped on for an after dinner treat shortly before they closed for the night, and was surprised to see how busy they were! The ice cream looked amazing and I totally want to come back and try it, but we decided to try some chocolate treats instead. My fiancé got milk chocolate covered caramels, and I got some plain chocolate fudge. My fiancé loved the caramels, and my fudge was super rich and delicious. I came back the next day and got huckleberry ice cream in a waffle cone. I usually don't go for ice creams with any sort of fruit taste, but I was intrigued and I'm so glad I tried it! Just a little sad I can't bring it with me back to AZ!

Doc F.

Yelp
This place was really cute! Everyone working there was very friendly, and it's pretty spacious so you can distance yourself from others during the COVID days. My smoothie was good and so was the coconut/chocolate bar I ate. I guess my only complaint is that it took foreverrrr to get my espresso drink but it's still totally worth stopping by if you have time!

KELLY M.

Yelp
Af tree r a long hike with my boyfriend. We want something sweet. Came to this place and we got a scoop of huckleberry and Oreo lover sundae. I wasn't please on the Oreo sundae because the Oreo doesn't taste like Oreo please there is too much Hersey syrup. My boyfriend scoop isn't bad at all.

Jill W.

Yelp
Good coffee, poor customer service. I ordered a simple white mocha with oat milk and waited over half an hour. When I saw several people who ordered after me get their coffee, I went to the cashier to find out if maybe our order had not been submitted and before I could get my sentence out she snarled, "We are slammed!" I finally got the coffee, made with whole milk instead of oat milk .... So I tossed it. Friend enjoyed their coffee.
