Super happy to come here again and introduce a friend! Not surprisingly, she loved it. With a regularly rotating menu, they currently have multiple tequila and mezcal options, which makes me especially happy. The service was kind and knowledgeable as always, just (understandably) much slower than usual on a busy Friday night. Despite the business, it had the usual mild, laid back atmosphere it usually does on a slower night.
Hoodoo That You Do: blue cheese infused mezcal, blackberry, chocolate, coffee. Surprisingly smooth, strong coffee taste without a distinct blue cheese flavor. The blue cheese adds a subtle, cooling note. Strong mezcal bite.
Rococo: Ruby chocolate-washed and -topped tequila-based drink with housemade orangeate, lemon, orange blossom water, and soda. A cool, refreshing drink with citrus and nutty flavors. I had never tried ruby chocolate prior, but I loved it! It has a lightly sweet milky flavor more similar to Filipino polvoron than "traditional" chocolate.
Thin Mint Shot: Didn't try this one myself, but my friends said it's very strong and not their favorite. A good choice if you're not wanting to sip, though.
Stiggin's Fancy: Pineapple rum, lime, sugar, shaved ice. A perfect starting drink if you're not keen on a strong alcohol taste. Sweet and refreshing, tropical and fruity. One of everyone's favorites in the party.
Eastern Twilight Zone: Coffee liqueur, cold brew, raspberry infused vodka, chocolate. Strong cold brew taste, quite a dark drink. No cinnamon as far as I know, but a cinnamon-like flavor.
Mr. McConaughy: Thyme-infused bourbon, peach-apricot shrub, lemon, soda. As someone who typically hates thyme and bourbon, I almost didn't try this one (not ordered by me.) But I actually loved it!! They did a fantastic job blending the flavors, and none came out too strongly. For the first time, I actually appreciated the flavor of bourbon. Sweet, round, just overall pleasant. This was a table favorite.
