A very large and spread out resort hotel on a fantastic island location in the middle of the Nile River and the city of Aswan. The Movenpick offers a ferry boat included with your stay to get you to and from the island. I stayed for just one night. The staff verified my room when I arrived at the ferry dock. They helped lift my luggage in and out of the boat. On arrival to the island, they took me and my luggage by golf cart to the lobby to check-in. The Movenpick staff generously upgraded my Classic Nile View Room to a higher quality room with a Nile view. In the north, 3-story building. It was clean and peaceful. A bit dated in terms of its style and maintenance, but more than acceptable for what you often get in Egypt. The breakfast buffet was included in my room price. It was served from 6:30-10:30. I went at about 9:00. It was still nicely stocked with hundreds of choices, including dozens of tasty pastries, a cooked-to-order omelette & crepe station, and the usual fruit, bread, and other items. Overall, I would definitely stay again at the Movenpick. It could use some refreshing and better maintenance, but it’s a good choice.

From a restaurant standpoint, find someplace else to eat. We weren’t terribly hungry and had dinner in the newer Movenpick restaurants’s cafe. Big mistake. The pizza tasted like cardboard because the “chefs” (I use that term loosely) decided that making something that tasted good took too much effort. The “open faced” sandwich was equally awful. The fries were good, which is something. Otherwise eating at this hotel is like flushing your money down a toilet. Don’t bother. The service in the restaurant was slow and poor. All in all, the food were underwhelming. The view from balcony in lobby was good and only thing saving this hotel from being forgettable. The hotel rooms were decent. Showers were large but grout could be better cleaned. Clearly this hotel is aspiring to be luxury but has a long way to go.

⭐☆☆☆☆ | Very disappointing experience despite excellent location I am currently staying at Mövenpick Resort Aswan, a hotel I chose again because of its great location and a previous positive stay. Unfortunately, this time the experience has been extremely disappointing. My wife and I faced a complete water supply cut in our room, which happened in the morning and again in the afternoon. This is absolutely unacceptable for a 5-star hotel, especially when guests are paying full price. I contacted the hotel management several times, but despite repeated complaints, the problem was not resolved. When I requested to be moved to another room— they offered smaller one and the manager refused to help. Since I paid the full amount in advance, I am now stuck in a room where the water supply may be cut again at any time. This situation caused significant inconvenience and stress and falls far below the standards expected from an international hotel brand. While the location is excellent, good service and basic utilities are essential. Sadly, the management’s handling of this issue shows a serious lack of responsibility and guest care. I hope hotel administration and Mövenpick management take this review seriously and improve both maintenance response and managerial attitude toward guests.

Extremely disappointing stay. Staff were poorly trained and unable to give basic information such as restaurant opening times. Service was disorganised and indifferent. Food quality was very poor. Rooms were run down, worn, and clearly in need of major refurbishment. To make matters worse, the hotel hosted a loud all-staff party that took over a guest restaurant and continued late into the night. Music was so loud we struggled to sleep. It felt like staff socialising was prioritised over paying guests. This is not acceptable for a hotel of this standard. Not relaxing, not professional, and not worthy of the Mövenpick name. Would not recommend. Based on our 2 night stay, this a is 2.5 star hotel at best.

Enjoyed 3 nights with my wife in the old building. All rooms with spacious balcony with great view. Panorama restaurant in 13th floor offers wide selection of delicious international food. Good service and fantastic location on Aswan island.

This is a great five star hotel in Aswan. Prices are salty but as everyone says: you get what you paid for! Location was great, on Elephantine island. They provide free boat every 15 minutes. Lobby is huge and very well decorated, a real charm. Room was comfortable and spacious, with a nice view over the pool and the Nile! You can watch the sunset from your balcony. Bathroom was good size and shower had great pressure. Breakfast was amazing, with some many options that you can spend hours trying to figured out what to eat! They have an egg station and also a crepe station. Several fresh fruit juices and a lot of pastries, cheese, etc. We ate at both restaurants located inside the hotel. Food is pricey compared to Egypt standards but cheaper than Canada/US. Food was delicious and big portions. The have a free chocolate stand everyday, in the lobby. Overall a great stay. I’d definitely come back and recommend this hotel. I wish I could spend more time enjoying the facilities like pool and garden.

The best hotel in Aswan in a perfect location on Elephantine island. Great facilities and top notch service. Special mentions to Ahmed at the Spa and Hamada at the pool. They were both really friendly and helpful assisting us with everything we needed. Thank you very much guys, this is excellent customer service. We absolutely recommend this place.

The Movenpick Aswan is a gem 💎. Beautiful hotel with well designed rooms. The location is perfect for a great stay in Aswan. ||That being said, it is the people that make the difference. ||Mohammed Husein in room service made our trip even more enjoyable. His attentive customer service and his wonderful smile truly made my trip even more enjoyable. ||The guys at the bar, Amr, Abd El Malek and Ahmed were fantastic 👌. Great conversation and they made me feel welcome. ||A hotel, no matter how beautiful, at the end of the day is four walls and carpet. It's the people that separate the average ones from the greats.||Keep up the good work.
