We had a wonderful stay. The property is beautiful and couldn't be more safe if you had little ones who needed to run around. We had absolutely fantastic massages. The spa is not large, but very nice. There is also a gym, heated pool, very large indoor jacuzzi, saunas in the spa restrooms. My mom and I had a great experience. Our only disappointment was that we ordered a Caesar salad at the bar restaurant and it was iceberg lettuce with mayonnaise. But this is sort of par for the course for food in Egypt. We found everything we ordered on the economy to be very bland. The breakfast buffet at the hotel was FABULOUS. There were more options that we could possibly have tasted. Fresh made eggs and omelets, Asian foods, French breakfasts, American breakfasts. Really anything you could possibly want and great coffee.

We had a wonderful stay that was made extra special by the friendly and attentive staff. Ms. Esraa in particular was so helpful. Our room was directly above the restaurant and the first couple of nights I was woken at 5 am by the noise from breakfast setup. Ms. Esraa immediately found us another room in spite of the hotel being close to fully booked, and she also gave us a complimentary upgrade. The hotel grounds are extensive and beautiful, especially the area around the 'old' building where the kitchen gardens (including a lovely rose garden) are located. The heated pool over by the new building is fabulous. The breakfast buffet was excellent --by far the best I've ever sampled at other 5 star hotels in Egypt. The hotel restaurants in general were very good and reasonably priced. My only suggestion would be to add more outdoor seating areas for guests on the hotel grounds. There's so much wonderful green space but nowhere to sit and enjoy the views besides a 'bird-watching station' that's basically a little shack with a few very uncomfortable wooden stools.

From the moment we arrived at this incredible hotel, we were blown away by the exceptional service and warm hospitality. Saied, the manager, truly went above and beyond to ensure our stay was nothing short of perfect. His attention to detail and genuine care for guests made us feel valued and special throughout our visit.||A special mention must go to Gamal at the restaurant, whose kindness and professionalism were unmatched. He not only provided outstanding service but also added a personal touch to every meal, making each dining experience unforgettable.||The hotel itself was stunning, with immaculate facilities and a welcoming atmosphere that made it feel like a true home away from home. Every aspect of our stay was flawless, thanks to the incredible team.||We cannot recommend this hotel enough and look forward to returning soon! Thank you, Saied, Gamal, and the entire team, for creating memories we will cherish forever!

The hotel is located on a small island Elephantine island on the Nile River in the middle of Aswan. The hotel is very nice, modern and safe. There is also a high tower in the area, the service is at a high level and the food is very tasty. You can spend the day sailing on a small boat around the hotel, or you can spend time lying on a deck chair and enjoying the atmosphere and pleasant views of palm trees and the Nile behind which are sand dunes.

This is a big hotel but having been here four nights we never felt crowded. The dining room in particular looks on to a huge garde pool etc. |lovely room very clean, white towels, splendid view and v light. |Best thing tho is the staff. They are so helpful. In particularly Christine in the dining room who was so kind when we first arrived after a v early flight. I couldn’t face sweet croissants so she got us delicious omelettes tea and bread all with charm and a smile. |Ramadan at the pool house not only served us lunch with a friendly banter but also made sure we had everything we wanted and that the pool was super lovely. Btw it is huge and very clean and the towels are thick and fluffy. |Hopefully we will be back.

The elephantine restaurant was amazing. I loved the pasta bar. Hany especially was awesome. He was extremely kind and funny. The rest of the staff was also great. Saad and aboud were great hosts. My father had really liked the kofta. The buffet was extremely diverse and had optiona for everybody. Great!

The Mövenpick Aswan is located on an island in the middle of the Nile . It enjoys an incredible setting and covers significant space with lovely views all around. You get to it via a free boat. ||The hotel was built around 50 years ago back in the 70's, the architecture reflecting this. The tower in the centre is an eyesore , though the views from the top of it are impressive ||Unfortunately the owners seem to have done pretty much nothing by way of spending any money on keeping the property updated and the whole place has an air of neglect . ||Prices have been keep artificially high , but you're essentially paying for what was and the history of the place. They are playing on its reputation and assuming people will keep coming. ||The breakfast buffet was depressingly bland, the staff on the whole inefficient and clueless. Service was slow to the point of being painful. 45 minute wait for a calamari by the pool and 30 minutes for a cocktail. The 26% extra they add to all bills (12% service and 14% extra tax) apparently doesn't cover service and the staff made this clear you were supposed to give them more via extra tips||We had a villa , but for some reason they'd forgetten to put shampoo in the bathroom and we had a hand cream in the shower instead in the containers stapled to the wall. ||The curtains didn't work properly and the outside lights on our room were linked to the main system with no way to turn them off . ( we had to call someone who managed to do it from some central location ) ||I can go on , but I won't.||Overall it was good to experience once. It's just pretty depressing that it clearly was a wonderful place once, but has been neglected over the years. It could be so much more||If you don't mind paying significantly over the odds for a below par experience, check it out . Otherwise avoid

It is hard to justify the cost with the service, almost $300 a night for a really old tiny room. Location is amazing with nice view, restaurant on site and its staff are great, however the level of the rooms ( rust - bad shower- low water pressure- small bathroom) got me to think the value vs what I paid.
