Had a wonderful stay with easy check in and out. Was able to pay a minimal charge for an extra late check out, which we found amazing as our flight wasn't until the evening. Clean well presented rooms. The chocolate hour was great and different 😋

I was very pleasantly surprised as I had never stayed at a Mövenpick Hotel before, and was pleasantly surprised as to the quality of everything (rooms, furnishings, Restaurant etc). My meals at their restaurant "Tesoro" (B'fast & Dinner) was amazing in all aspects. From one chef to another, well done to the chefs in the kitchen. Customer service both at reception and in the restaurant was of a high standard (well-trained). Nice work, everyone at Movenpick Hobart. I will definitely stay again.

I had a pleasant 4 night stay. Check in was easy and friendly. I was initially given the wrong key card and room number so I had to return to reception. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. House keeping was great and I enjoyed the Nespresso coffee. I enjoyed breakfast and the chocolate hour. My only issue was the shower and sink made a loud, high pitched screeching noise when in use. It made it incredibly uncomfortable to shower. I advised reception of this on the morning of my second day. I was told maintenance would fix the issue. This did not happen. My entire stay was made uncomfortable by 4 days/nights of a loud, screeching shower. It was disappointing it wasn't fixed. Other than the shower and sink, my stay was pleasant.

I had treated us to a suite stay using my platinum benefits. The Derwent suite had a lovely view but was not luxurious. All the bathroom windows were frosted fully blocking out the amazing harbour views. Not enough staff on duty so reception in evening had long queues. Breakfast was terrible with huge queues, slow service and no replenishment of buffet. Valet parking was so slow and very expensive. We had recommended friends stay here too and they were not happy. I was embarrassed and disappointed. Our last stay was great. Chocolate hour is good. We wouldn’t stay again. Why only valet parking? You need to arrange deals with local car parks for your guests.

I have had a lovely 2 x days stay at Movenpick in Hobart. The staff have been very welcoming. I want to especially mention Zain at the Reception desk, who has been very kind and helpful, since my arrival. Staff members who have excellent customer service like Zain are why travellers come back to hotels, time and time again.

Upon arrival being only 20 min early to check in was informed that our room was not ready but we could be placed in another room on a lower floor. Informed the staff that we were more then happy to wait as we had only arrive early to check the parking situation and that we would wait for our room on the higher floor. Upon returning we had been informed that our room was on the lower floor despite this offer being refused in favour of our higher floor room. Rather than create a fuss we accepted it just wanting to enjoy our holiday. The room itself was extremely dusty with both me and my partner able to write our names on most flat surfaces. The onsite fitness centre was used as a day care play pen by other lodgers at the hotel which although school holidays and not a worry was a bit sad to see. The choco-holic hour was again a fad and marketing gimmick as other glutenous guests would stack their plates sky high meaning this event was over in under 3 min for any other remaining guests, again just another disappointment. Again i couldn't be bothered conducting a Death Race for chocolate. The hotel can not be blamed for the local yahoos who stay outside the bus station but I would recommend you take ear plugs if you are a light sleeper. To be honest for something that claims to be 4.5 stars it did not live up to the experience I would of expected. I would remain very cautious about staying here again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Mövenpick! It turned out to be a great location to get around Hobart, both on foot and by car. Very nice clean and comfortable rooms (we experienced 4 rooms over 2 stays either side of a trip up to Launceston). We upgraded to one of the suites on the second leg and it was worth it for the view and oodles of room. The breakfast was very good with well-curated menu and buffet options. Nice chocolates with the coffee on a Sunday morning too!

We arrived late evening but managed to secure a table in the hotel restaurant. The food and service were good despite it being exceptionally busy. Our room was clean and comfortable if a little compact. Sadly our only view was of the adjacent office block! However breakfast was delightful. Lovely buffet options and the cooked options were very high quality indeed. The hotel is in a great location - just a 5 minute walk to the quay side to catch a ferry and close to all the shops and restaurants.
