Mövenpick Phuket Bangtao

We recently stayed for 2 weeks as a family of 4 and were amazed at the size of our 3 bedroom residence. The staff are all lovely, the breakfast was plentiful with lots of choice and the room was kept immaculately by the cleaners. ||The pool was very clean and fresh towels were always available, as were pool attendants and staff providing food/drink service. ||Great gym for anyone who finds the energy. ||There are some great beach bars just outside the hotel to watch the sunset in a chilled location. ||Most other things require transportation. We hired a car for the duration and parked at the hotel easily. Taxis are cheap and most excursions offer free pick up and drop off. ||Lots of restaurants and shops within a 10 min drive, especially on the lovely Boat Avenue.||I have one very small complaint which may seem petty but did annoy me, especially as we had 5 monsoon days to sit around inside. The hotel mentions cable TV and a Bose surround sound system in the room. This is overstated to say the least. There was one English Channel (BBC World News) and the Bose system could only work with the TV so unless you wanted to listen to the news loudly, it was utterly pointless. Thank god we took our own Bluetooth speakers and Amazon Firestick (tip for you all).||Would recommend highly to anyone if you want a quiet and relaxing break.

We stayed in the one bedroom. Has a fully equipped kitchen and a dishwasher which was very useful for us. The staff is extremely hospitable. The Bang Tao beach is a stone's throw away which was a huge plus for us. The area is quiet and peaceful. We'd love to come back again. Definitely recommend highly.

We were greeted with a flower lei when we arrived the hotel and were able to check in early, which we appreciated after a 24 hour flight. The staff was so helpful and polite. My daughter and I stayed here for 7 nights in the Seaview Pool Suite. The room was beautiful and we truly enjoyed the private pool and view of the ocean. The breakfast was also a favorite of mine (and I usually don't eat breakfast). Highly recommend. There were so many staff that went out of their way to make us feel at home, I can't remember all of their names, but Gavin and Orly were especially helpful with any requests we had. They were so professional and willing to help at a moments notice. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

At this resort we enjoyed true hospitality at its highest level - they meet, greet and treat you like family throughout the stay. The residences are spotlessly clean, very spacious and well equipped, comfortable areas to eat and relax out of the sun and large balconies from which to take in the beautiful views of the lagoon. The breakfast and meals we enjoyed through room service around the pool were varied, and tasty with excellent service. The pool, gym and spa had everything we wanted and we had amazing massages and facials! The hotel bus made it easy to go into town in the evening to explore the local night market and we found it easy to fulfil our other plans elsewhere. The local beach is quiet and unspoilt; there are a few things to do if you want to request it, but mostly it is a place for any group to enjoy each others company in a quiet and relaxing way. The generous rituals of giving fruit skewers and cold chocolate drinks around the pool were part of this unique experience. Although the well known ice cream and sweet treats the brand is famous for are available, we felt the food was broadly very fresh and healthy too. What is most outstanding about this resort- I don’t want to give away too much as it might spoil a moment for you - is the way the Team thought about us individually and wanted to surprise and delight us in a special way to fit the occasion. Always smiling and friendly, the Team were always kind and helpful with everything we asked. It was a fantastic trip and we would be very happy to stay again.

I’m checking out today on my way to the airport, and wow—what a stay at the Mövenpick! Absolutely amazing from start to finish. The resort is packed with activities, including swimming, a spa, gym, gaming room, and much more. The staff go above and beyond to assist with anything, from arranging transportation to booking activities. Room service was excellent, and the cleaning staff always kept the room spotless and on schedule. Breakfast was delicious, with a wide variety, and the staff were incredibly friendly. A special shout-out to the legend himself, Orly—such a kind, polite, happy, and helpful person who truly made the stay even better. The location is beautiful, with everything you need right at the resort, plus a lovely beach right in front. While it’s a bit far from the city center, the overall experience more than makes up for it. Highly recommended!

It’s been quite a few years since I last stayed in Movenpick Bangtao, and this is my third time returning. I choose this hotel because the rooms are spacious and clean, and also it is nicely situated beside a quiet private beach but yet 5 minutes ride away from a western shopping area where you can shop and dine.I stayed in a seaview pool residence this time. Our private pool was great and the seaview was amazing. The kitchen inside the residence had all the tools needed to stir up a meal - you can do your groceries at the supermarket nearby.The staffs are very helpful, kind and detail minded. It was my wife’s birthday during our stay, but I didn’t mentioned to the staffs but they noted when taking note of our passports, and on her birthday they gave us a birthday, which was very sweet. The checkin was efficient and easy. We were nicely taken care of during our stay. Other than our private pool, the public pool is big and nice as well. You can also use the private beach area which is a few steps away.One thing that can be improved is that the interior is a little dated and can use a renovation. The exterior is still very stylish.I’m very happy during my stay as a returning customer, and will definitely return again when I visit Phuket. Highly recommended.

Our family recently enjoyed a fantastic two-week holiday at the Movenpick Bangtao Beach Resort in Phuket, from the end of July into early August, and we were thoroughly impressed by the overall experience. This resort truly offers a wonderful setting for a family getaway, combining excellent facilities with truly outstanding service.||From the moment we arrived, the resort exuded a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere. The facilities are top-notch, catering perfectly to families with children. The pools were a particular highlight, offering plenty of space for both relaxation and fun. The dining options were varied and delicious, providing something for everyone, and the general upkeep of the resort grounds was impeccable.||What truly set our stay apart, however, was the exceptional level of service provided by the Movenpick team. Every staff member we encountered was friendly, professional, and went out of their way to ensure our comfort.||We must, however, give a special, heartfelt shout-out to Orlando. His attentiveness throughout our entire two-week stay was nothing short of tremendous. It felt like Orlando was everywhere, from morning till evening, always present and proactive in making sure all our needs were met. Whether it was at breakfast, by the pool, or during dinner, he was consistently there, anticipating requests and providing assistance with a genuine smile. Orlando is not only incredibly efficient but also extremely pleasant to talk to. He is a massive credit and an invaluable asset to the Movenpick Bangtao Beach Resort, and his dedication significantly enhanced our family's holiday experience.||While our stay was overwhelmingly positive, we do have a few constructive suggestions that we believe would elevate the guest experience even further:| 1. Happy Hour Offer: The 2-for-1 happy hour offer is a great incentive, but it would be wonderful if this could be extended to include non-alcoholic drinks. There are many guests, including families with young children and individuals who do not consume alcohol, who would greatly appreciate being able to enjoy a refreshing mocktail or juice as part of this promotion.| 2. Room Upgrades: Our room was incredibly comfortable and spacious, providing a perfect retreat after a day of activities. However, a slight upgrade in terms of technology (perhaps more accessible charging points or updated entertainment systems) and a fresh lick of paint would truly bring them up to the highest modern standards. These are minor oversights, but addressing them would make a noticeable difference.| 3. Credit Purchase Offer: We found the offer to buy credit upon arrival a bit jarring. Being asked to make a significant financial decision on the date of arrival felt like a "gun being pointed to the head," especially when still settling in and not yet having a clear understanding of daily spending patterns within the hotel. We suggest either automatically applying a beneficial credit offer to encourage in-hotel spending, or at the very least, allowing guests a few days to settle in and understand their spending habits before presenting such a decision. This would create a much more relaxed and welcoming start to the holiday.|||Despite these minor points, our family had an absolutely memorable and delightful holiday at the Movenpick Bangtao Beach Resort. We would highly recommend it to other families, and we sincerely hope that Orlando's exceptional service is recognized. We look forward to returning in the future!

Just had a great stay here! The room was really nice and the staff were super helpful and friendly. The view from the hotel is amazing, and it’s really close to all the must-visit spots in the area. They took care of everything I requested during booking—even included a special greeting for my marathon run, which was such a nice touch. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting!
