Mövenpick Phuket Bangtao

We recently stayed for 2 weeks as a family of 4 and were amazed at the size of our 3 bedroom residence. The staff are all lovely, the breakfast was plentiful with lots of choice and the room was kept immaculately by the cleaners. ||The pool was very clean and fresh towels were always available, as were pool attendants and staff providing food/drink service. ||Great gym for anyone who finds the energy. ||There are some great beach bars just outside the hotel to watch the sunset in a chilled location. ||Most other things require transportation. We hired a car for the duration and parked at the hotel easily. Taxis are cheap and most excursions offer free pick up and drop off. ||Lots of restaurants and shops within a 10 min drive, especially on the lovely Boat Avenue.||I have one very small complaint which may seem petty but did annoy me, especially as we had 5 monsoon days to sit around inside. The hotel mentions cable TV and a Bose surround sound system in the room. This is overstated to say the least. There was one English Channel (BBC World News) and the Bose system could only work with the TV so unless you wanted to listen to the news loudly, it was utterly pointless. Thank god we took our own Bluetooth speakers and Amazon Firestick (tip for you all).||Would recommend highly to anyone if you want a quiet and relaxing break.

We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Movenpick Bang Tao Beach. We stayed in a 3 bedroom villa, which was very comfortable and quite large in size. The one thing I would say is it is possibly a little far out of the way from the Laguna area, we got a Grab most places as it was too far and hot to walk any further than the Tops mini mart. We didn’t swim in the beach, as the red flags were out during our 5 night stay, having said that the 40~ metre pool was more than enjoyable and the staff very friendly and accommodating. As it was “off season” we were one family out of maybe 5-6 at the entire hotel, so the pool and single on site restaurant were never crowded. I would definitely stay again, and highly recommend breaking up your stay with two resorts if you’re planning on staying more than a week.

We stayed for two nights in a suite that accommodated seven. The resort itself was fantastic, but the staff are why we would return. A special shout out to Orly, Fang, Rainy, Pla, and Mick. Amazing humans who went out of their way to make our stay special.||The property itself was lovely — spacious, clean, and beautifully maintained. We especially liked how quiet it was during the low season, which made it feel very relaxing. The kids also loved the motorised toys available to use, which was a fun touch. We’ll aim to return at a similar time of year. We were also glad we knew about the Grab app, which made it very easy to book taxis — and at a lower cost than through the hotel.||One observation – the staff seem to work very long hours. This was never reflected in their service, which was consistently outstanding from morning through to night. It simply stood out to me as a guest.||In Thailand there is a lot of advertising encouraging visitors to choose ethical elephant experiences, which we think is wonderful. It also made us reflect on how important it is, as travellers, to consider the wellbeing of the people who make our stays so memorable. I want to emphasise that this isn’t a criticism of this resort – the staff here were absolutely incredible – just that for our family, one of the biggest drawcards in choosing where to return is the confidence that staff are well supported behind the scenes.

Overall, a great time! Huge shout out to Kehvan and Orly! These two kind gentlemen are the most amazing and hospitable people I have come across. Honestly, these two legends have made my stay at the Mövenpick so much more enjoyable. I consider them friends of mine now. They treated me like family instead of a guest, and as a solo traveller, I appreciate that a lot. 100% recommended this resort!

Orly, Keven, Mick, Leo and Rainy made our stay lovely. Orly and Keven in particular gave exceptional service, they were very kind to our group and nothing was too much trouble. The resort itself is beautiful, the pool is amazing and the food was very nice. The beach front location is great and it’s only a short Grab ride from downtown. Highly recommend the Movenpick if you’re looking for a quieter, smaller resort that is family friendly

We were greeted with a flower lei when we arrived the hotel and were able to check in early, which we appreciated after a 24 hour flight. The staff was so helpful and polite. My daughter and I stayed here for 7 nights in the Seaview Pool Suite. The room was beautiful and we truly enjoyed the private pool and view of the ocean. The breakfast was also a favorite of mine (and I usually don't eat breakfast). Highly recommend. There were so many staff that went out of their way to make us feel at home, I can't remember all of their names, but Gavin and Orly were especially helpful with any requests we had. They were so professional and willing to help at a moments notice. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

At this resort we enjoyed true hospitality at its highest level - they meet, greet and treat you like family throughout the stay. The residences are spotlessly clean, very spacious and well equipped, comfortable areas to eat and relax out of the sun and large balconies from which to take in the beautiful views of the lagoon. The breakfast and meals we enjoyed through room service around the pool were varied, and tasty with excellent service. The pool, gym and spa had everything we wanted and we had amazing massages and facials! The hotel bus made it easy to go into town in the evening to explore the local night market and we found it easy to fulfil our other plans elsewhere. The local beach is quiet and unspoilt; there are a few things to do if you want to request it, but mostly it is a place for any group to enjoy each others company in a quiet and relaxing way. The generous rituals of giving fruit skewers and cold chocolate drinks around the pool were part of this unique experience. Although the well known ice cream and sweet treats the brand is famous for are available, we felt the food was broadly very fresh and healthy too. What is most outstanding about this resort- I don’t want to give away too much as it might spoil a moment for you - is the way the Team thought about us individually and wanted to surprise and delight us in a special way to fit the occasion. Always smiling and friendly, the Team were always kind and helpful with everything we asked. It was a fantastic trip and we would be very happy to stay again.

I’m checking out today on my way to the airport, and wow—what a stay at the Mövenpick! Absolutely amazing from start to finish. The resort is packed with activities, including swimming, a spa, gym, gaming room, and much more. The staff go above and beyond to assist with anything, from arranging transportation to booking activities. Room service was excellent, and the cleaning staff always kept the room spotless and on schedule. Breakfast was delicious, with a wide variety, and the staff were incredibly friendly. A special shout-out to the legend himself, Orly—such a kind, polite, happy, and helpful person who truly made the stay even better. The location is beautiful, with everything you need right at the resort, plus a lovely beach right in front. While it’s a bit far from the city center, the overall experience more than makes up for it. Highly recommended!
