I had the most wonderful experience staying at this hotel! From the moment I arrived until my last day, everything truly exceeded my expectations. The room was incredibly clean, the amenities were complete, and the entire hotel was incredibly peaceful and welcoming. But what truly made this stay special was the wonderful and wonderful staff who took such great care of me. A heartfelt thank you to Kan and Kan. Everyone impressed me with their kindness and warm smiles. You made me feel more than just a guest, but like family. Whether it was the morning greeting, the attention to every little detail, or the willingness to help with everything, everything you did was so meaningful and appreciated. It's rare to find such genuine service, and I'm truly grateful.

Hotel in an excellent location, making it easy to reach all the city’s points of interest. My room was basic but had everything I needed. The laundry service I used was excellent, and the breakfast offered a wide variety of food. There was a minor issue with the room cleaning, but the staff was very helpful and resolved it immediately. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, in true Thai style!

Stayed here for 2 nights. The beds were comfortable with extra pillows, and the room was spacious with good soundproofing. Breakfast was decent and had all the basics. Water pressure was strong, though the hot–cold balance was a bit tricky. Complimentary bottled water was provided daily if you had your room cleaned, which was a nice touch. The stay was enjoyable overall until the end, when we discovered that the cleaning staff had thrown away some of our packing containers that we needed for travel. They weren’t near the trash can, so it seemed like a mistake. Unfortunately, the hotel would not replace them, and the front desk staff was dismissive when we asked for help.

I’m not sure I would call this a 4 star. It’s not bad but the pictures online are misleading and the actual facility is in major need of furniture and finish upgrades. I booked this hotel through All Accor since we had a good experience with an All Accor hotel in Bangkok. Pros: Excellent location, you can walk right into the middle of the night bazaar and can access lots of shopping/restaurants. Staff are friendly and helpful. Cons: The overall hotel has a mildew smell and you have to keep the ac on in the hotel rooms to try and disperse the smell. Some mold in the bathroom grout. The carpets and furniture don’t look like they get cleaned. We saw a bug stay in the same place on the carpet for three days. The hallways near the rooms look very neglected with the carpet peeling up and are dingy. Overall takeaway: look across the street or at some of the other hotels in the area. There are many nicer and less smelly hotels around this location.

Stayed: 21–22 June 2025 | 1 night | Accor Platinum member||This was my first time staying at Mövenpick Chiang Mai. I booked a Classic Twin Room at a very good rate (THB 1,644 without breakfast) and was pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to a Junior Suite without any request. The room was large, clean, and had both a sitting area and a Japanese-style toilet. While the hotel is a bit dated, everything was well maintained and comfortable.||Staff were polite and professional, especially at check-in and in the lounge. As a Platinum member, I felt my benefits were genuinely acknowledged. I used the evening lounge (light snacks and drinks from 5:30–7:30 PM), chocolate hour in the lobby, and received 50% off dinner at the Wine & Food Terrace restaurant. The welcome drink was also easy to redeem via the ALL app.||I used the gym and pool — both were clean and functional. There’s also a happy hour at the pool bar (buy 1 get 1) which was a nice bonus. Housekeeping did a great job keeping the room tidy.||The only downside for me was breakfast. I paid separately and found the food quality to be average, not quite matching what nearby hotels in the same price range offer. If breakfast is not included in the rate, I’d suggest trying a local café instead.||Overall:|Great value during low season, very walkable location near Night Bazaar, and one of the more benefit-friendly Accor properties I’ve stayed at in Thailand. Would definitely consider returning.||

Had a pleasant stay. I very much appreciate the room upgrade and late check out. Should advertise the cocktails/wine hour for platinum members as I wasn't aware of it (as I tend to favor hotels with a lounge). Only feedback I have is more variety in food options at the wine and food terrace during the cocktails. I have insulin resistance, so what was available (pizza, won tons and spring rolls) were not something I can normally eat. Also grateful for the extra bottles of water.

I recently stayed at Mövenpick Suriwongse Hotel Chiang Mai and overall had a pleasant experience. The location is excellent – right in the heart of the city, making it very convenient for exploring the night bazaar and nearby attractions. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. They also offer a complimentary sweet fondue from 5–7 pm. The only downside for me was that the rooms feel a bit outdated and could use some refreshing. However, they were still comfortable and clean.Overall, it’s a good choice if you’re looking for a hotel with great service and a central location in Chiang Mai.

Very well located in the tourist district and close to the old city. Lots of places to eat and hire bikes nearby and the night market is across the road. The service here is brilliant, my wine glass never was less than half full before it was refilled in the executive lounge. The lobby is beautiful and there is undercover parking for motorbikes. The rooms are older and dated, the mattress was a bit too firm but overall it was OK. The pool was lovely and warm and has a bar. Breakfast was a great selection of foods.
