Exceptional standard of food, mainly choose their specials and thoroughly enjoyed them all. Shared the whole flounder as a main which was cooked perfectly. Finished with the baked cheesecake and berries, light and delicious. Definitely a standout restaurant in Lorne and a great addition to the town.

We were lucky enough to find a table for lunch today at Lorne Movida as we were heading home along the Great Ocean Road. It has always been on the bucket list of must do restaurants in Regional Victoria. It didn’t disappoint… from the time we were seated by the friendly Bert and Darcy we felt very comfortable and relaxed. The place had a great vibe and water views from the windows that wrapped around the venue. The background music added to the chilled atmosphere. We decided to go with the set menu which gave us a taste of a few popular dishes. They were all sensational probably my fav was the first tapas a taste sensation with the smoked tomato sorbet on an anchovy and crunchy crouton amazing…a great way to start. The service was exceptional and timing between courses perfect. It wasn’t a busy day so that may have helped. A couple of ice cold beers and a cocktail made the lunch one we will remember till we return. Recommend for any occasion or just to treat yourself to something special. If this info was helpful please like and follow my reviews. Cheers

Highlight of our Great Ocean Road trip. An all-round amazing experience due to not just the beautiful food, but also fantastic service from Felix, Adam and Emma. Our favourite dishes were the kingfish ceviche, pea and mint croquetas, lamb tartare, tomato salad, melt-in-your-mouth lamb shoulder and delicate Crema Catalan. We chose the Bistec after reading a lot of positive reviews and liked the flavour, but found the meat a bit tough/chewy and preferred the lamb. Staff were exceptional and helpful at every turn, even down to spotting that an ice glass had chipped and replacing drinks that we had added the ice to! We chose Mo Vida having enjoyed the food in Melbourne and looking to celebrate a special occassion. We actually found the Lorne restaurant was much more relaxing and had better service. We dined on a Friday night and were pleasantly surprised to find the 6pm session relatively quiet.

Lovely place with welcoming staff. Good wine selection available. The menu sometimes changes but if you get a chance, get the Jamon - finely cut meat, basically see through and melts in your mouth. Get the wine you vibe with the most, but try the Spanish version if you can. And trust me when I say, just get the whole bottle, I believe in you. Have the dessert wine to finish and yes, cheese does count as dessert.

We had a lovely lunch here with all the dishes that makes Movida great. We particularly loved the sauce made with Padron peppers with pork and the beef cheek. Only criticism was that the pork came out a bit cold and the brocolli salad seemed a bit excessive on vinegar. It was quite astringent. The service was quick and efficient. I was hoping to order one of the more full bodied red wines to go with the beef cheek and pork scotch fillet we ordered but the waiter was keen to sell us a glass of the Pinot noir. It was a great Pinot but not what we wanted. I pointed out the wine section we wanted to choose from but he was perhaps a bit rushed. Thank you all for a mostly faultless lunch.

We dined here back in June and again recently and the food was just as delicious the second time around! We ordered the Oysters, Scallops baked in Tomato & Jamon Sauce (special), Lamb Backstrap Tartare, Pea, Mint & Buffalo Cheese Croqueta, Jamon with Pan Catalan, Calamari with Chickpeas, Cucumber and Mint Salad and finally the Braised Lamb Shoulder (yes we skipped breakfast and had a light dinner!) This place has such a great location and the staff are extremely attentive. They will answer any questions you have if you are feeling overwhelmed by the choices. Definitely treat yourself to a culinary experience at this great restaurant by the ocean!

Definitely one of the better options in Lorne for dinner (if you get lucky enough to make a reservation - book ahead!), but consequently not the cheapest. There was the option to go for a set menu but we opted to choose our own and ordered 4 tapas each, 2 raciones to share and a dessert which was a good amount. All were great but the albondigas (pork and cuttlefish meatball) had a slightly salty taste, luckily we had the calamari dish which helped to balance it out to our liking. Presentation was great and the staff were super polite and friendly. Pretty easy to find parking right outside.

Walking through Lorne for dinner after a long day on the GOR and stumbled across a Melbourne institution that we didn't know had set up shop down the coast. Food and service were of high quality as was to be expected. Entrees we ordered the tortilla, oyster, arancini and kingfish. All were nice with the winner being the kingfish which packed a punch of flavour! Mains we ordered the lamb and bean salad. Lamb was pretty good without being spectacular and beans were pleasant. Not too surprising but the only criticism was the size of each dish, understand that it's a tapes style menu but it wouldn't be hard to out a little more on the plate for the price you pay. Still was a good experience and was a nice surprise after a day of driving.
