I was looking to try something new and had heard about this place. I am so glad I wandered in; they were so welcoming and helpful with ordering since I am fairly new to Indian food. We tried the fried rice and I had no idea fried rice could be this flavorful, light and literally no grease seen in many other fried rice dishes. I asked for very mild, which is referred to quaintly as American mild, and it worked for me. Still plenty of flavor without taking you down a rabbit hole. It is easy to see how the spice level could go way up if one wanted it to. Highly recommend this place; my wife and I will absolutely be back to try other items.

I rarely write reviews, but I was so impressed with my visit to Mowgli's that I had to spread the word. It's a small, but lovely space, with nice views of passerbys on the street. I ordered at the counter, where the owner kindly answered my questions and invited me to take a seat and she would bring my order to me. I chose the Pop Goes the Puri and the Gobi Manchurian. The puri is so much fun...little flavor bombs. The gobi was crisp and so flavorful. Addictively good. I knew I would have leftovers, so I took most of my gobi home, where it reheated perfectly in the air fryer for a delicious bonus meal. The restaurant has wonderful vegetarian and vegan options, which was a huge plus for me. The owner told me they eventually are planning to expand the menu, but honestly, if they kept it as-is, I'd be more than happy. The menu currently focuses heavily on street food (both entree-sized and snackable), which is so hard to find as a vegetarian, and I enjoyed it so much. I think the perfect meal would be to bring a couple friends and order several dishes to share, as one would do in a tapas restaurant. I adore this new place and will definitely make what for me is a considerable drive to frequent it regularly! Note: I took a bite of each of my dishes before snapping a photo. They were even more yummy-looking before I got my paws into them!

A must-visit new gem in St. Pete! This fresh Indian spot brings the heat with a delicious blend of familiar classics, flavorful street food you won’t find elsewhere, and inventive monthly specials that add a fun twist to the menu. The owner originally opened the place to showcase Kati rolls—think a richer, more buttery version of a pita wrap or burrito—and they absolutely deliver. I had the chargrilled chicken tikka roll and it was packed with flavor. You can tell the ghee is made in-house, the chicken was perfectly moist, and the greens were fresh and generous. The side salad and dressing were so good I could’ve eaten a whole bowl of just that. The space itself is cozy and intimate with vibrant decor, lush live plants, and a fun, upbeat playlist that gives it great energy. I’m already looking forward to coming back to try the rotating blackboard specials. So happy to finally have a standout, authentic Indian option in St. Pete—do yourself a favor and check it out!

Folks were so friendly and kind, food was very tasty! Got a fried rice and butter chicken over salad, perfect lunch spot. The staff was so accommodating, and let me try all their hot sauces (delicious)

A nice little restaurant in St. Pete. This was our first visit to Mogli's tiffin and we were pleasantly surprised. They have limited items on menu but everything is very tasty. We had the chicken and shrimp skewers, cold coffee, buttery bowl and papri chat. Everything was nicely presented and had great taste. The service was also very nice and quick. A very nice place to try Indian cuisine.

I am genuinely confused on how this place has such amazing reviews. I know they’re new, so maybe I came on an off day, but overall our experience was so subpar. Service was slow — Our food took a really long time to get to us, especially considering that you order at the counter and it’s supposed to be a lunch spot. We eat a lot of Indian food and were both really disappointed when our food got to us. We got the naan with butter chicken flatbread. I don’t know why we expected it to be naan with butter chicken curry on top, but instead it was more like a rectangular Roti with (dry) chicken tikka with a white cheese and peppers. Not what we expected based on the menu description, but maybe we misread the menu.

Phenomenal food. Friendly owner. We love Indian food and this was a great stop for a light but slightly spicy lunch. I Always go for the hot options whenever we opt for Thai or Indian, very tasty. Will be back to eat before we head to Grand Central Brewhouse.l next time.

My new favorite lunch spot. Food is amazing, in the butter chicken dish the chicken was sooo tender and flavorful. Owners are lovely. Beer and wine is also available.
