Mowie’s Gili Air – Beachfront Restaurant & Boutique Resort

The place to go everyday I normally go for dinner, but they have great options for breakfast and lunch as well The environment is great, romantic and chill at the same time. The quality of food and its price is perfect balance! Location is great. Close to some shops, the arbour, a gym on the beach.. everything! The team is great and service is fast( which is not something so common in Gili) Highly recommend!

We were on the island for 6 days and must have stopped here either just for drinks or food too nearly everyday for sunset! Great food, highly recommend the Tuna Burger! Great staff, only managed to get Adi’s name on our last night but the rest were brilliant too! And reasonably priced considering the location and standard of the food.

Hotel is beautiful and food very good. Most of the staff extremely friendly and chatty. Welcome drink was awesome. Room was excellent although a few tiles had fallen off in the shower area which needed replacing. Beach at the hotel does have more coarse sand and some loose coral but you can mostly walk in without problems.||Things to improve would be:|- Offering mosquito repellant as standard in rooms for guests to use|- A better breakfast option if you’ve taken breakfast with the room - I hadn’t, so could order from the entire menu and pay, but if you had you were limited to a sweet or savoury selection, with the savoury having meat (not ideal if you’re vegetarian). Far better to just give guests the option to pick a dish from the main menu. ||Would definitely go back!

The accommodation itself is fine. As a restaurant, it’s a great setting but disappointing food. Menu sounds fantastic but poorly executed. Fish borderline inedible and some appetisers try too hard with no direction. Smoothies and salads tasty and refreshing though.

This was one of the best restaurants we have eaten at during our holiday in Indonesia. The food is really well thought out with a surprising dish each time. We had amazing cocktails and watch the sunset. Stayed for diner and went here two nights in a row. The staff is super friendly. For all foodies out there, def recommend it. It has all cuisines so for everyone something they like!

Mowies, fantastic location, room, staff, service, food, drink, ambience, amenities. |We came to Gilli Air as it wasn't " the party Island ", we booked at Mowies as our son had recommended after he'd visited the island.|Mowies is a 10 minute walk along the seaside from the port and main street in Gilli Air or a nice , easy cycle ride.|The beachside location has stunning views and guests enjoy reserved sun loungers with umbrella, there's also a pool for when the tide goes out or you want to get away from the beach.|Our room was the upstairs balcony room. Great size, functional, cleaned daily and private.|The bar isn't noisy and is shut quite early, however I would take earplugs if you're early to bed as there is music played at other bars close by.|Food, staff, location were absolutely brilliant. I couldn't point out a single fault.|Gilli Air was a haven away from the constant traffic on the mainland and Mowies was the perfect location to sit back, relax and enjoy the peace. I hope to God, the Influencers don't find and ruin it before my next visit.

Perfect location for a small island getaway. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Perfect for sunset watching. Everything was just laid back and relaxed. Beach has some coral fragments so beach shoes are recommended for bathing in the sea - also mind the tide schedule. Had a wonderful time here and looking forward to return and stay longer if ever back in the area.

Wish I could give this place 6 stars. We have had 3 meals here and it is by far the best food on the island, maybe the best food ever. The salmon power bowl, dragon fruit smoothie bowls, beef labneh skewers and tuna burger were highlights. Great service and amazing place to lie at the beach.
