Moxy Amsterdam Houthavens

We stayed at the Moxy Hotel Amsterdam from July 23rd to 30th and overall had a fantastic experience. I'd happily give it 5 stars, but I’ve marked it down slightly due to the lack of a fridge in the room — which is essential for someone like me who needs to keep snacks or certain items cool. We originally booked a standard room, which we’ve done at other hotels without issue even though my partner uses a wheelchair. On arrival, the staff were really accommodating and moved us to an accessible room the next day, which was lovely and much more suitable. The hotel itself is fun and vibrant — there’s a spa, gym, pool table, arcade games in the lobby, and even free popcorn! It has a great vibe and is ideal for both couples and families. Staff were generally brilliant and very helpful throughout our stay. However, on one occasion when our room card stopped working, all of the front desk staff were being told off (quite publicly) by a manager for not engaging with guests — ironic, since the telling-off was causing them to ignore us. Thankfully, one staff member broke away to help us anyway, though it earned her a dirty look from the manager. That was the only disappointing moment in an otherwise excellent stay. Would I recommend it? Absolutely. We’re already planning to return next year and bring more family with us — they’d love it.

Very clean apartments with great views of the water bodies. The kitchen is reasonably equipped. Breakfast is very good. There is a common laundry with washers and dryers. It is slightly away from the city centre , but there is a bus ( every 10 minutes ) which goes to the Central station. The bus stop is about 6 - 7 minutes walk from the apartments.

Excellent stay. The location is 4 or 5 kilometers from the city center, but the bus terminal is a short 5m walk from the hotel, and you can have peaceful nights there away from the city center buzz. The staff were amazing, special thanks to Arsi, who was very helpful and accommodating. Rooms were clean and just perfect. The view was amazing They have a full sized gym, and the typical one bench and one treadmill Will be back soon!

The hotel was very clean and quiet, which made for a comfortable stay. The staff were all super friendly and helpful, creating a welcoming atmosphere from check-in to check-out. The pool area was clean and nicely designed, perfect for relaxing plus they also have a spa/ sauna if you like that vibe .||A big plus: they let you store your bags for free after check-out, which was really convenient. Location-wise, it’s just one easy bus ride from Centraal Station, so getting around was simple.||Overall, a great place to stay—would definitely return!

Lovely staff, especially Igor, and great facilities. The gym was easy to use and well stocked. Best of all was the spacious room, great for me traveling for work but with my mom who was traveling for fun. Pretty good breakfast as well. Wish there was more to do around the hotel but my meetings were right next door so it worked. Also the bus is VERY convenient.

In general the experience was really nice. Pool, breakfast and staff were the best. The location might be the worst thing, a bit out of the city center, but there is a bus close that gets you there in 15/20 minutes. Rooms are nice, I got an upgraded room for fidelity program but to be honest not amazing. Also the recepción guys were really helpful and friendly, specially Anna, Julia L and Jenny who helped us in checkout to make good use of all our coins and for taking care of our luggage.

Decent hotel in the offices area. Rooms are very small, and absolutely no work space and very tiny table, where you can’t even keep the computer. But room with a view is good to see the outside port view especially in the evenings. Location is newly developed, and it’s a good area for morning running. Not much food options nearby. If it is strictly for business then this hotel is recommended.

Nice hotel, even though I don't usually like these big-chain hotels that pretend to be hip. The rooms and beds were very nice but the staff was excellent and friendly and made it a pleasant stay. Would not recommend the location. It's a boring area of Amsterdam with lots of office. I had to be in the neighbourhood, so it was okay.
