Moxy Athens City

Convenient and comfortable hotel, served its purpose for my work trip to athens. A few things could be improved: The room lighting is dim despite many lamps, with no overhead light. There is no good work area in the room (no desk, no real chair). The “upgrade” room “with a city view” looks out onto the unfinished side of the building and traffic. Some additional items in the room like body lotion and basic toiletries would be great. The gym is basic but good, although I wish they would have paid more attention to refilling the water. They have a policy of no eating or drinking outside food on the property except in the room, which is a shame because the seating is usually empty and there’s not fresh air or a nice view from the room to enjoy while having a coffee (I preferred to get it out at a local place rather than pay extra for hotel coffee). The staff were helpful and friendly, and printed documents I needed. Overall I would stay again, but I would look forward to some minor improvements!

Highlights|- The complete crew members (in Moxy language) so passionate motivated and hospitable to all the guests|- CHRISTOS and GEORGE we’re so nice by giving me a coffee as welcome drink as one exception|- CHRISTOS from the lobby bar made me a wonderful coffee and also a multivitamin drink during the breakfast buffet. He is so passionate about his role and work in Moxy. We chatted a little bit about the food and concept of this wonderful hotel. |- The breakfast was fresh, healthy and high-quality|- I did some workout in the hotel gym and it was fabulous|- The location is perfect for any city or day tours in Athens

The hotel is located at Omonia sq.that is not safe place, althouhh it is a central area do not suggest. Hotel itself was very clean with a good breakfast and very very good staff. The main issue was the room. We had a door to balcony, which was locked and was not allowed to open, but the view was just a hudge concrete wall, so we had a feeling that stayed in a basement although it was on a six floor. No fresh air, no day light at all. I stayed 3 nights there. Staff was excelent, they were so good that I decided not to complain. They did all their best to make us feel comfortable. So if you have a problem with locked area please make sure room cathegory is proper.

First time staying at a Moxy brand and it was great. Hotel is located ideally in the central area of Athens in walking distance to the main attractions of syntagma and the acropolis. Right outside of the Omonia metro station too. There is a few dodgy characters around the area but nothing out of the ordinary for a major city. Rooms were great, very clean and stylish design. The whole hotel was designed in a really cool manner. Breakfast served in the morning was also a broad selection and very tasty. Staff also had a friendly vibe. I would recommend and would return should I visit Athens again.

All Moxy hotels share a similar décor — colourful, vibrant, and full of energy. The rooms are decently equipped, though a few essentials were missing (like a kettle), and the bathroom door could use a better design as it didn’t close easily. That said, the service was excellent, and the staff were consistently cheerful and helpful. We enjoyed the breakfast. The hotel is located in a somewhat rough-looking neighbourhood, but it remains convenient for travellers

So easy to reach via Metro (Omonia station, stadium exit). Warm friendly welcome and then a bonus to have a birthday surprise waiting for us in the room, including ballon’s and a card! Very good breakfast with lots of local food options in addition to the standard offering. Well equipped gym and nice seating area/library room. This is one of my favourite Moxy’s in Europe by far and mostly due to the wonderful team who work here. Security outside (it’s by a main subway station), but a great base to explore Athens by food or a couple of stops from the acropolis, Syntagma and Monistitaki

Good quality hotel for a short stay in Athens. Centrally located with easy walking access to the key areas of the city center you most likely come to see. My only real critique being the rooms are a bit tight and lacking in some features, such as lighting and sitting space. Overall, would recommend for others to stay here.

My son and I enjoyed a 2 night stay for the recent Greece v Scotland football match. Well priced for a very good, clean and modern hotel. The hotel is well located in the city but the area isn't the best. Especially during darkness which we knew having previously visited and stayed nearby. There is the metro right outside the station. Our room was on floor 6 overlooking omonia square and it was very nice. Would definitely stay again if visiting Athens and recommend this hotel to others.
