Moxy Atlanta Midtown (Atlanta, Georgia) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"At the risk of oversimplifying: Midtown is probably the most vibrant, and certainly the most artisitcally oriented, of Atlanta’s major districts, and the Moxy hotels are among the most colorful and fun of Marriott’s many, many sub-brands. It’s not hard to see the appeal of Moxy Atlanta Midtown, then: an accessible, affordable stay in a neighborhood that’s known for its cultural attractions (and more than a few fine nightspots). Check-in happens at the hotel’s ground-floor bar, as do three meals a day, but by nightfall you’ll have found your way to the rooftop bar, High Note." - Tablet Hotels

I stayed at the Moxy during Juneteenth weekend and I absolutely loved it. This hotel exceeded my expectations tremendously. The entire hotel was so clean the housekeeping staff do a wonderful job, especially Lorena who went above and beyond to make my stay amazing and fun conversations. Front desk staff was so nice when I checked in and checked out. The bar, the pool, the lobby, the entire hotel had an amazing vibe. I would definitely be booking at the Moxy Midtown Atlanta in the near future. I’m still smiling at how well everything went. The hotel is beautiful and very convenient to lots of restaurants, cool coffee shops, and stores within walking distance or a short drive. The area felt very safe. The best part is that Whole Foods Market is two blocks away. I was able to pick up a package from Amazon and grab pizza several times during my stay. I can’t wait to come back!

We stayed at the Moxy Hotel by Marriott in Atlanta Midtown and had a mixed experience. On the positive side, the rooms were standard and comfortable—clean, stylish, and perfect for a short stay. We were also able to request a small refrigerator for cold storage, which was brought to our room without issue—definitely appreciated.||One thing to note for future guests: the lobby transforms into a nightclub atmosphere in the evenings. While this gives the hotel a fun, vibrant energy, it also creates challenges if you're trying to get help from the front desk, especially since the bar *is* the front desk. During busy hours, it was difficult to get assistance.||The major issue during our stay, however, was a system outage. The hotel's computer systems went down before we arrived and remained offline through the end of our stay. This meant the staff had no access to reservations, records, or billing systems. At checkout, I was unable to receive an itemized or final bill, and instead had to write my credit card information on a paper form. Staff promised this would be securely entered into the system later and that the paper would be shredded—but I was very uncomfortable with this process. It left me concerned about how securely my personal information would be handled.||To their credit, the staff remained friendly and tried their best under difficult circumstances. They reassured me that everything would be handled carefully and that my checkout would be accurate and secure.||Overall, while the hotel has potential—great location, stylish atmosphere, and decent rooms—the operational issues and lack of reliable service left me feeling uneasy. Hopefully these problems are addressed soon, as they really impacted the quality of the stay.

Loved our stay at the Moxy! Great atmosphere and music wherever you went. All staff were nice, very helpful, the server at the pool went out of her way for my son. The welcome drinks were delicious, cheers to all the bartenders, JP, and Cam and the two who created the welcome drinks. The rooms acoustics were a little weird, but the beds were comfy.

I want to start by saying the vibes are immaculate and it’s giving a hip and welcoming vibe. There was a party the weekend I was there and it’s central to lots of nearby sites in Midtown. That being said the second night I was there I had several bites on my back and lower torso. I did report it and management looked into it and did a thorough review and found nothing. I appreciate that they followed up thoroughly not only on my room but surrounding rooms and took it seriously. They also offered a future upgrade. I know bed bugs are everywhere including high end hotels because people bring them in their luggage and I appreciate their due diligence upon the report, but I won’t stay there again. I would however visit their rooftop bar and any events there. I think it’s a great concept.

We love Moxy! Always lots of around to hang out around the hotels. Rooftop bar and pool were nice. Bed was very cozy. Bathroom was large with a nice shower. Free complimentary drink at check in. Only complaint was that our window faced the pool deck and the lights were super bright even with the curtains pulled.

This stay was really rough. When we checked in at the front, the workers seemed annoyed that they had to do their job. They then gave us a “complimentary drink slip” so my husband and I went to the bar that night, ordered 2 drinks, gave the bartender the slip and they said “nope this only applies for our special drink of the day” with a lot of attitude. no one said that? I definitely wouldn’t have spent that much on a drink at that bar. Also, there’s no soap in the bathroom. The pillows on the beds are so small and the walls are covered in dirty streaks. We could hear the DJ on the rooftop for hours on Sunday. It’s the loudest and most underwhelming hotel.. will never stay here again.

Google
Rooms were very dark and the bathroom was very small. We stayed in the 2 bedroom “queen” however the beds were actually just 2 Fulls. Found multiple long hairs on the towels in the bathroom prior to use. Bring your own bathroom toiletries—the ones provided are very, very cheap and don’t get “soapy” or have a scent to them at all. They do not provide any room amenities such as coffee maker, robe, or slippers. A steamer and hair dryer are the only things that were provided. Guest services were very kind. JP was very communicative and friendly. I wouldn’t suggest bringing your kids here since the pool area becomes a day party with a dj.

A Whole Vibe – Perfect Staycation Spot! I stayed at the Moxy Hotel in Midtown for Mother’s Day weekend, and wow — this place is a *vibe*! From the moment you walk in, the chic decor sets the tone. It’s modern, stylish, and just feels fun. The lobby has cool games to keep you entertained (hello, Jenga and connect four!), and the energy is just right — social, but not overwhelming. The rooftop was the cherry on top. A live DJ spinning with great views? Yes, please! It made the whole weekend feel like a mini getaway without leaving the city. Loved every minute of my staycation. Can’t wait to come back!

Yelp
I LOVED this hotel. I wished I would have taken (more) pictures, but I think I was just vibing too much, and forgot. The entire hotel is very insta-grammable. The lobby and the downstairs bar are a VIBE, and I think are even better than the pictures. I facetimed some peeps to show them to say, "we need to come back to this hotel!" My room overlooked the pool and patio, and that was also a great ambiance. I didn't get into the pool, but hung out at the bar. I will absolutely book this hotel the next time I'm in Atlanta. Love the location, too. Only thing I missed was a mini fridge in the room. Thanks for having me, see you again, soon!

Yelp
Deep in the heart of downtown Atlanta, this beautiful luxurious and modern hotel sits with its lovely decor and rooftop outdoor vibes. My favorite spot is a rooftop bar and pool. It is very picture perfect, social media, friendly, and great place to relax chill and have fun with friends. I was here for a meeting, but the rooms are lovely as well. I got to sleep. Would I stay here absolutely without a second thought. The staff was amazing very hospitable and the food was delicious. Cocktails and cocktails were stellar. Most Moxy hotels I've been to are either hit or miss and this one is definitely a hit. It's a little different because of the parking garage all in all and can't wait to go back. Whole Foods and other stores are a short walk

Yelp
Enjoyed this hotel. It is fun and different. Room was nice, no closet or coffee maker, but it had fun hooks for hanging clothes. We struggled to get it cool enough at bedtime, and there was some sort of weird cord running beside/under the bed--it said something about motion detecting on the back but we never figured out what it was. Lobby was fun with a unique vibe; DJ at night, and the rooftop bar was nice although not on top with a city view--more of just an outdoor bar (with food) and pool area. We found a public parking lot across the street $12 for 24 hours, which was nice because many hotels we looked at were charging $50 a night! I would not say the hotel was AMAZING, but we would definitely stay there again. I think young adults would enjoy it for sure.

Yelp
Was definitely funky interiors geared towards younger 20's-30' casual travelers, BYOB and Netflix and chill stays vs a traditional business hotel. If you are looking to stay at a themed bar hotel this might be for you. No frills with common ironing room, thin walls, bare bones rooms with funky designs, no coffee maker or bottled water inside the rooms, no mini bars, very small work desk and standard TV. Bed linens are definitely not very plush if you are a frequent traveler. Bathrooms are functional but on the smaller side. Check in as at the bar and the bartenders / front desk staff are not very hotelish. Imagine being checked in by a bartender than a proper hospitable front desk person. I booked at the Marriott suites for business but got bumped because they were oversold and full so they moved me to their next door Moxy concept. I was definitely not satisfied and would not recommend it for business travelers unless you are traveling on the cheap. Their pool was also drained and their "rooftop" (think 6th floor with no view" bar cafe and pool was not very impressive. They had a lobby bar with games etc but not real three meal restaurant nor concierge etc. definitely not for business travelers or families - totally geared to hipsters on a budget.

Yelp
I booked this location via Airbnb during the Cowboy Carter tour. I even called the actual hotel to verify the legitimacy of the booking. Everything seemed to be in order. I even received multiple emails confirming my stay. I arrive only to have the front desk staff tell me that they had no rooms. When I voiced my frustration, 2 other people came forward to say they had been waiting for over an hour and told the same thing. Although airbnb did ultmately give me a refund, I was forced to find another room in short notice with the amount being substantially more than my original booking. Needless to say, the staff were unprofessional and refused to allow me to speak with a supervisor. They also never provided next steps for retreiving a refund. I would never recommend this hotel.

Yelp
My brother cane to town so I met up with a him and a few of his friends after work in Midtown . I had the pleasure of being granted a tour of the Moxy! I was surprised how amazing this place was! I had not been in years and the upgrades and renovation to the Marriott Hotel is fantastic. I definitely will be hosting a few events there this year. From the main lobby with a fireplace to the rooftop experience with the comfortable seating and bar to the lounge where you can get fabulous drinks and play games likebilliards, Giant Jenga, giant Connect Four and more.. I was pleasantly surprised that at the lounge (lower level) you could check in for your hotel room (upstairs) at the bar and also get whatever beverages that you'd like. I had the pleasure of experiencing the most fabulous cocktail I've ever had from the cool bartender, Jordan. It is his own special creation called , "Blueberry Surprise "! All I can tell you is that you must grab a straw for this fabulous drink! Tell him Kay sent you to ask for it by name! This place has everything that you need from a business center, selfie corner, great seating, food, and drinks, and just a good old time . I will be back soon for a weekend stay.

Yelp
Situated in the heart of Atlanta Midtown, Moxy Atlanta Midtown is daring to be different with welcome cocktails at check-in, boutique hotel vibes paired with a young and fun atmosphere, fresh, large, updated rooms, and High Note rooftop bar to accompany your swim. Sip on craft cocktails and enjoy delish shareable bites. John and I enjoyed a weekend staycation recently and enjoyed the proximity to bars, restaurants, clubs, and only minutes from beautiful Piedmont Park! Come see why Atlanta's got Moxy.    When you enter Moxy's lobby, you're greeted with a living room set-up where you check-in at the bar and receive a welcome cocktail (or wine)! They also have several lounging areas for gathering with family, friends or making new ones. A fireplace, a full bar and snack area, pool table and tabletop shuffleboard, as well as large murals and couch areas. It's an amazing space. You can also stay late at night for a DJ and drinks in the lobby! Like their Tropic thunder old fashioned that is smoked, sweet, yet boozy.    We went up to the 6th floor to our room. You walk into a beautiful bathroom with white subway tile with black grout shower and spacious vanity. Make sure to look down in the shower for the "Deep End" water grate. Then just down the short hall is the bedroom with comfy king bed, fun old school rotary phone, and desk work area. I really enjoyed the "I woke up this way" as well. They have varying sizes for any group.     Get up to the rooftop to lounge at the large inviting pool. Then, pair the pool with craft cocktails and shareable bites at High Note Atlanta!  Like start out with a crisp, cool, floral hibiscus solitude cocktail and enjoy it with some lemony, crunchy, meaty lemon pepper wings. Or sip on a sweet, earthy, boozy banana old fashioned with juicy flavorful honey steak bites on a bead of earthy and sweet Brussels. Feeling hot, sweet crispy fried chicken? Go for their hot honey fried chicken sliders and some crispy seasoned fries.  Let's not forget the staff. They are always on point and helpful from the wait staff to the bar staff!

Yelp
Friendly staff, helpful Eclectic lobby has a club vibe, theres chill couches, there is a shuffleboard table, a pool table, a foosball table, and many tables to play board games on or sit around and socialize. The room was clean, aesthetically appealing,an even had a steamer in the room. Not all rooms have mini refrigerators. * Guests do have access to the *heated pool* and fitness facility on the rooftop of the AC hotel. They're both owned by Marriott and share the rooftop bar/rooftop pool/and fitness room.

Yelp
Love the hotel vibe but be aware of possible loud music till 11 pm. Not sure if this is a daily thing but on the weekend it wouldn't be an issue. When we check in on a Thursday and had a very long travel day, the bass was thumping so loud I could feel it in our room. We were upgraded to a suite on the 6th floor but I think this was a bad choice. The room is great! It's by the rooftop bar and pool and has a balcony area. Service has been good. Asked for coffee in the room and they brought it. Just be warned about the loud music and pick your room accordingly. Checking in at the bar was a neat experience. They didn't offer happy hour. The lounge/lobby is very interesting and fun. Board games and cool places to hang out. You need to ask for a coffee pot and coffee when you check in.

Yelp
Our whole company (~60 people) visited the Moxy for a team retreat this week and it was our best one yet! The Moxy is a funky and nice, but affordable hotel in Midtown that is run by Marriott. Their staff was quick and organized for check in and check out , and you get a free drink with your room key! The lobby of the Moxy is full of activities like board games, pool, and foosball and has lots of places to gather. The foosball was unfortunately put together backwards and is a tiny table but otherwise the game options were great! They also have a bar and free coffee that they do a good job of refilling. The lobby does have a very specific scent that seems like it is pumped in through the ventilation system so if you are sensitive to fragrances that's important to note. The rooftop at the Moxy was where our group gathered for meals and where the conference room was . The food was great and the staff was quick to clear our dishes after eating. The conference room up there was nice as well but could use some more noise proofing from the bar/restaurant area. Our rooms were clean and quite modern. The beds were SO fluffy and comfortable and were accompanied by a rotary phone that tells bedtime stories! The only thing the room was missing was a closet, which I do appreciate having just to help get organized. Our rooms were cleaned each day and our beds were made so perfectly, but I do wish that the staff did not leave all the lights on every time they cleaned - seemed like a waste! Overall our experience at the Moxy was top notch and it was great place to gather a group for a strategy retreat. Definitely will look to stay at Moxy hotels when I'm in other cities in the future!

Yelp
I love staying at Moxy hotels, and this was no different. The vibes, the staff, the welcome drink, and the chic ness of the room really brought it together for me. They're also conveniently located to a lot of popular things that you can easily find on Yelp. I didn't run into any internet issues either while on some video conference calls. The bed was super comfy, and I enjoyed my time at the hotel. Shoutout to the people at the lobby who were able to accommodate me and help me find some things I needed since I didn't have a car --talk about A+ service.

Yelp
Elevators didn't work Air conditioning didn't work No food at main bar (because it hadn't been replenished. Whatever that means.) Cheap shampoo/body wash with dispensers that barely dispense anything Cutting corners, pretending it's for the planet when really it screams "we're cheap" Single ply TP Bartender who doubles as check in person who doubles as maintenance means nothing gets done well.

Yelp
Being a native New Yorker and Atlanta-ish I often refer to myself as a peachy apple. Born in the north. Saturated in the south. So it is with love when I say the two things Atlanta needs is a beach and elevated experiences. Thanks to apps like Resort Pass and locations like The Moxy, elevated experiences are just a click away . It's not like going to the beach for the day. It's better. We were poolside for the day with just a 10 minute Marta ride. Great location. Fully staffed. Crafted cocktails. Tasty food. Quaint size pool. The pool is less than 4 feet and more for lounging than swimming. Greeted with a welcome bag. Trendy location. There is parking on sight as well. Can feel a bit crowded. The day we were there the bathrooms up top weren't the best. So seek out close by alternative locations. Affordable. We would go again. The folks who rented cabana's had way better snacks. But the little goodie bag was still a welcoming experience. All we needed was access to the sun and the water. This hit the spot. And the price point for a daycation

Yelp
The MOXY, as all MOXY locations, is very hip and funcentric for the entire family (and digs!). We have stayed here multiple times with no disappointment. The staff is always friendly, the v8be is always positive, the rooms always clean and feel welcoming. I have been to several MOXY locations, and each one is always amazing! Highly Recommended!

Yelp
Let's start with the negatives. No refrigerator, no coffee pot, no coffee in the check in lobby. Crappy baby ice machines that don't work. Breakfast buffet for $20. How about the positives; lively lounge on the 1st floor with free ping pong, pool, table top soccer, Large monopoly game, roof-top bar, nice swimming pool, attached parking garage for $32. Clean comfortable rooms on the small side. Walk- in shower was adequate. The staff was super friendly. The price was a bargain for the location but I want a coffee pot and a fridge wherever I stay.

Yelp
We had a gathering here last weekend. There were about 8 of us. We started on the rooftop with dinner and worked our way down to the lobby. First, let me say our service was amazing for dinner and the rooftop DJ set a vibe. When we made our way down to the lobby, it was an even better time. The atmosphere was fun and energetic. The DJ was respective to the vibe and kept the energy going. But, the most impressive was the manager Tamika. She made sure we were taken care of through out. A memorable evening ! 10/10

Yelp
First and foremost, the Moxy Atlanta Midtown hotel is very sociable/active (turn-up time) and not for everyone. I was there for a four-day solo birthday vacation (Thurs-Mon), and the noise level at night can reach 3 a.m. on Friday and Saturday. When you first arrive, you check-in at the bar and receive a Moxy token for their delicious complimentary cocktail (I saved the token and had the drinks with my friend a couple days after). The decor is artsy and there's a bunch of places to hang out, play games (there's Jenga, one of my favorite games), and on Friday and Saturday nights there were DJs on the ones and twos! When I arrived, I also requested a room in a more quiet part of the hotel because, from the reviews, the noise can be a lot. I asked the staff to add my room key to my Marriott Bonvoy app to open my room door (instead of using the card to get in). It worked okay, sometimes a bit slowly. I also texted the staff from the app questions and they would respond in a timely manner. Customer service here was okay. I stayed in the king guest room which was a decent size. The style is vintage with minimal decor. I enjoyed the style and especially liked the bathroom with the two shower heads; industrial style of decor. The room did not have a microwave, no closet, fridge, or iron. They had a steamer that worked really well. The bed was not that comfortable for me, but doable. The blinds definitely blocked out the light when needed. I enjoyed the view of the city from my room. I tried the breakfast the day I was leaving. I went for the breakfast buffet and it was just okay; nothing special. I was mostly out with friends during my stay and did not use the pool or rooftop. The time I went, I was disappointed to find there was an event happening. Overall, it was a cool location to celebrate my birthday, and the Moxy Atlanta Midtown hotel is close to a lot of places.

Yelp
we utilized the bar,as we were staying in the AC which we were able to utilize Moxy's facility...loved the music and drinks and atmosphere. DJ 6,I believe was absolutely amazing, worth every tip. The bartenders,Jordan and Latrell were great. David was awesome as well

Yelp
Really cute, modern hotel from Marriott in mid town ATL. You check in at the bar, and the staff is really kind. They give you a drink token or snack upon arrival, and it's dog friendly hotel. Enjoy the rooftop bar and pool if the weather is warm!

Yelp
The Moxy Atlanta was truly an experience. We were greeted with exceptional service from check-in to check-out. Upon entering from the garage you're greeted with this 1970's mid-century modern wonderland. My eyes wanted to take in so much. It was stunning. The art, the furniture, the bar (we don't drink but were still in awe of it), etc. The room was thoughtfully designed. Hubby and I spent some of the evening gushing over the cool furniture and great use of such a small space. The Moxy is a must visit. I was sad the rooftop amenities were closed on the day we were in town. Maybe another time!

Yelp
Fair warning - I am likely 20 yrs older than their target market. That being said, this hotel I think is mediocre for reasons that go beyond the whole "target market is 25 year olds". Not a good choice for business travel - I likely would have tolerated it slightly more if I was on vacation. Check in via the bar was amusing and the woman very friendly. Blaring club music in the lobby 24/7 not my thing (again I'm not 25). Room size was fine, desk was decent. No closet and only three hangars is stupid. Ironing board and iron in a common area made me feel like it was college. Bed was comfortable, bathroom fine. Absolutely no noise proofing - likely not helped by the choice of doors with glass on them. Breakfast "area" was useless - I ended up going to an Einstein Bagels around the corner. Water pressure was abysmal, and I don't need a ton of water pressure. I was on 6th floor, but heard from others in other rooms water pressure was bad there too. WiFi worked fine. No mini fridge so I could stash water or tea was really annoying when I'm staying there three days. Would not stay here again - my colleagues tell me the AC next door is a better bet.

Yelp
So, I stayed here this past weekend (09/10-11 2023). It was just for one night as part of a quick business trip to Atlanta. Business travel has been a part of my work and career for nearly 40 years now, so it's a fairly routine thing for me. My flight into the city arrived late in the evening due to a weather delay. I've stayed in literally hundreds of hotels over the years, but was unfamiliar with Moxy Atlanta Midtown's unique concept of having the check-in desk situated at the bar. I walked up, waited for a few seconds for the guy that was supposed to be working to walk over from socializing, and asked if I was in the right place. "Yes," he said. But there was no verbal welcome from him to the hotel, and I wasn't at all made to feel welcome. The guy just stared down at his monitor, made no eye-contact and acted like I had somehow inconvenienced him by showing up. I gave him my last name, since he didn't ask for it. He looked up the reservation and then just asked for my credit card and identification. He quickly charged the room to my personal credit card, without checking or stating that he would (the reservation was already paid for in-full on my company's corporate card), and didn't ask if I was a Marriott Rewards or Bonvoy member (I am); just handed me a key and a token for a free cocktail. I asked about whether they had room-service. He said "No, we don't have that," but offered up no other late-evening food options. I had to ask where the elevator was since he didn't even volunteer that information. Being a slightly older gentleman, I guess I didn't fit the demo of the preferred young, hip, cool urban guest or patron that Moxy seems to target, so this first impression from the check-in guy's treatment of a traveler clearly delivered on that message. As for the room, it was just okay, except for the grease on the desk where it appeared that someone had recently eaten there, the filthy trash cans and having no hot running water. The bed and pillows were good. I went back down to the lobby bar later to meet a co-worker and at least use the drink token, and there was the check-in guy, giddily having a bang-up time socializing with his obviously much more important friends. No moxy to be found here.

Yelp
The hotel charged me 3 nights for parking and I did not park there. I called the hotel immediately after I saw the itemized bill. They said it would be taken care of, and it was not. I disputed the amount w my credit card company, and the hotel has provided no evidence that I parked there. Thieves. Never staying there again.

Yelp
One of my favorite hotels to stay at in Atlanta! Very vibey and beautiful inside. The staff was amazing. I'm sorry I don't remember everyone's name but I do remember Lee, because he greeted me upon arrival and was a friendly face during my two night stay! Highlights - the arrival cocktail - coffee - hang out nooks on the first floor - Friday nights at the bar - rooftop dining - gym - parking validation - snacks for purchase - LOCATION! - staff and team I will highly recommend and look forward to coming back!

Yelp
I think, actually I can say I know that if it wasn't for COVID, I would have enjoyed my stay there. Randomly I decided to stay here the evening of my birthday because the images of the hotel on their web site looked amazing, and in person it's no different, but what I didn't realize until I pulled up is that the lobby and cool lobby bar they feature in the images was closed. When you get to the hotel, you actually have to check in at the AC Hotel on the second floor, which is kind of a pain and then I wondered if I should have stayed the AC for a presumably cheaper rate? I loved the design of the rooms. It felt very hip. Kind of like an Ace Hotel, but with a little vintage feel from the old-school rotary phone in the room. The entire feel was great. The bathroom was large. I did not like the soaps in the shower because of how they were set up in the shower. It was difficult to pump them out. First world problem, I know. The hotel was quiet but I assumed that be due to COVID. The parking lot seemed to be used for a lot that construction workers used. When I tried pulling in it was a madhouse and took awhile to get a spot in the lot. You can pay I believe $28 a day for in and out privileges. The hotel is located in a great part of town and is walkable to a lot of nice spots. I'd stay again, but once things open back up.

Yelp
The original plan was to stay here Christmas Eve & Christmas, then head to another hotel. The service here across all fronts was pretty darn phenomenal, that I ended up extending my stay. Due to an emergency my stay got extended even longer. The Moxy hotel is everything urban, boutique, chic, entertaining, funkadelic & welcoming. The Registration Desk is located at the wraparound Bar with a neon sign that reads "Check In Here." James (Jamieson) who's guest relations skillset is top notch all over the place, got me checked in & we connected instantly as his welcoming spirit & vibe mirrored mine. He even checked on me periodically during my stay. His contagious personality absolutely brightens up the lobby. What a cool perk that all guests receive complimentary chips to be exchanged for a complimentary (specific) alcohol beverage - wine, IPA & or mix drink. Note: these chips are only redeemable at this location. The lobby is a replica of a game & music room with a faux fireplace, various lounge areas (a private one by the entrance) with leather sofas/chair/sectionals & communal tables. For the gamers, there's tabletop Chess & Checkers games, massive boardgames, pool & air hockey tables. Snap yourself in the Selfie Booth or listen to your favorite wax on the old school record player that comes with headphones. Complimentary Wi-Fi throughout the property with an open-space Business Center offering two Mac Desktops & a printer. The self-service area is 24/7 offering drinks including alcoholic beverages, snacks & healthy candy. The bar offers freshly made Flatbreads & other light nosh. Bar closes at 10P during the week & 11P on the weekends. The Moxy is adjacent to their sister property the AC Hotel, which has a full-service restaurant & hosts the European style Breakfast buffet. The High Note Rooftop is positioned between Moxy & AC providing a casual yet upscale space. The menu offers simple Handhelds, Starters, Snacks & creative named hand-crafted cocktails like the Last Unicorn. Hours are a little unusual: Tuesday - Thursday 4P-10P, Friday 4P-11P, Saturday 11A-11P & closed on Sunday & Mondays. When I wasn't floating around the lobby that literally turns into a social lounge, I enjoyed relaxing in my room as the well-designed layout is right up my alley. The décor gives off an industrial/loft vibe with pure efficiency throughout. The headboards are made out of leather which replicates a seat cushion affixed to the wall with rustic mounting bolts. The peg rails on the wall replaces the closet & the portable steamer replaces the iron & ironing board. The walk-in rain shower is amongst the smart design bathroom of vanity mirrors, dual lighting, hairdryer & upscale toiletries. Extra kudos to Team Housekeeping, as they did an excellent job in resetting the rooms & changing out the linen daily. I'm already a loyal Marriott member. Yet Zawadi - the amazing Supervisor who leads a great team in Jamie, Luca, Orlando & Jeremy (others) made me feel like family, a Moxy Maven & an overall guest that felt like part of the crew. I shared my high compliments with Savannah, the Food & Beverage Manager on how everyone & I mean everyone worked very well together & in sync. Regardless of shifts, many guests complimented the service they received. Team Moxy, thank you again for everything & then some. You made Christmas 2019 absolutely brighter & accommodating, especially with my emergency. Happy New Year & I will you see often in 2020!

Yelp
From check in to check out the experience was so disappointing . The host at the check in (no name tag) was surly and impatient. He explained to us zero about the hotel or its features. We had to ask other guests where to find things, how to call the elevator (confusing tech) and even how to purchase ( the very limited) selection of food in the lobby coolers. If you check in here, you are on your own. Luckily, the pool was lovely, but good luck figuring out how to get in. A guest inside had to explain that to us as well. During our entire stay we encountered a total two hotel employees. The desk guy and the guy at the pool. Staying here feels like when you go to Home Depot these days. Huge space and no one there to help you. My suspicion is the company is going cheap on hiring enough people. Also, at night this is a party hotel. DJ in the lobby. Not worth the price if you want to relax and feel that you got your money's worth.

Yelp
Our server, Dylan, at the rooftop bar was the best part of our stay. He offered great conversation and drink suggestions each night of our stay. After venturing out in the city, I can say he's one of the best you'll find in Midtown. Nate was our bartender and every drink was perfect. I looked online before arrival, so I knew what kind of vibe to anticipate. The lobby was full of energy and people. The room was cool, but not practical in a few ways. The bathroom does not have a fan and the small space could have really used it. Also, the bam door to the bathroom did not have a latch, so it never completely closed. Hopefully you're very comfortable with whoever you room with! The hardwood floor in our room needed a good cleaning. There were obvious spots next to the bed that were missed. We also had a few issues with the parking and billing. They were resolved after a few calls and conversations, but who wants to do that on vacation? The parking was especially weird. We paid at the front desk, but had to use the call button to speak to someone in Chicago. The Chicago call center then requested us to call the front desk and have them email our payment over to the call center. Quite a convoluted process that added unnecessary time to our departure.

Yelp
One of the better hotels we have booked! Very modern and clean. Every venture through the hotel I noticed at least one staff member cleaning. Staff are friendly and helpful, not a bad apple was encountered on the stay. Great outdoor bar by the 6th floor pool although pricey as you'd expect from a nice hotel. $15 per drink roughly and we racked an $88 tab with 2 apps and some drinks. Beautiful large bathrooms in the lobby with ceiling to floor coverage, nice parking area in the deck, I can't complain! (Just get rid of the attack bird out front of the entrance so it doesn't try to nip at our pets!) Thanks.

Yelp
This review is based solely on the bar in the lobby. Get the Got Moxy drink - you won't regret it! So so goood. We were planning to hit up the tiki bar across the street, but the line was ridiculous to wait in so we came over to Moxy instead. Love the vibes and aesthetics of the place. If we didn't have a place to stay in Atlanta, I definitely would want to book here. The decor is perfect and the lobby alone is just chill enough to hang out. We literally came in just for the bar and lounge around with some typical games (jenga, connect 4, etc.) and everyone was super nice and friendly.

Yelp
Do not stay here. On 8/14/22 at 1:30am someone entered my room and turned the lights on. The person exited as soon as I screamed. I will never return to this hotel. If you look on google reviews you will see that someone else had the same experience. More than likely this was an inside job and Moxy needs to take action before someone gets hurt! Also, the other reviews are correct. The walls are paper thin. Loud Music from the pool area could be heard from around 11am-11pm. The neighboring rooom had a party and that could be heard as well.

Yelp
The most uniquely urban hipster hotel I have experienced to date! Upon arrival you check-in at the lobby bar as opposed to a traditional check-in desk. The lobby is a spacious yet cozy area with numerous games and seating options--it almost has a nightclub feel. The guest rooms are on the smaller side (reminiscent of a European hotel), but my room was very clean and the bed super comfortable. I thought it was strange that there was no closet, iron or ironing board in the room--if you want to press your suitcase crinkled clothes, you have the option of using one of the hotel's communal ironing rooms. Over all, I'd say this hotel's target audience is probably not the average business traveler, but it offers a fun, avant garde experience that more youthful travelers (including those who are adventurous and young at heart) will certainly enjoy.

Yelp
I came here for a quick lunch with my brother, his boyfriend and a coworker. The four of us were freezing and hungry after enjoying the infinity mirrors event at the High Museum. This was a birthday present from my brother and he wanted to visit his ex colleagues that now work at the Moxy. The lobby is multifunctional and is lobby, bar and restaurant. It's primarily self serve and patrons order at the bar and grab food from the open door chiller behind the bar. We ordered assorted hummus, olive samplers, flat bread and wine. Prices are a bit high for a limited service dining experience but convenient if you're staying here and don't feel like going out. What I liked- The decor is cool and geared towards millienials. Board games and contemporary furniture were everywhere. Our food was fresh and delicious. Service was prompt and friendly. Bathrooms were clean and decorated nicely. Opportunity- It's hard to locate the entrance. The building is two hotels and share the building. The front is the AC Hotel on 14th street and the Moxy is accessible from a sidewalk towards 13th street. I recommend this place!!

Yelp
First time staying here and I have to say it was a cool experience. My husband and I played some of the games in the lobby/Bar area. The room was cute but no refrigerator. We needed more towels and wash cloths, they brought them quickly. I think we'll stay again. We liked the signature cocktail. We ordered a flat bread, wasn't great, I just like to nibble on something when I have a drink.

Yelp
Different concept of hotel, edgy in design. First the negative : rooms are small but designed well. No closets as you hang your clothes on hooks with hangers facing bed. Only one chair a desk. Not practical for two people in room. Good amenities like hair dryer, nice walk in shower and night light automatic when you walk past. Lobby is cool with bar as guest registration. Good meeting g area with pool table and other games. As in most hotels food is overpriced for breakfast and meal options are limited.

Yelp
Absolutely in love with this hotel! Had a 2 day staycation at the Moxy last week. It was an amazing experience. From the cool check-in at the bar with free drinks experience, to the friendly staff, gorgeous creative lobby with games and real records to play to the view from our 10th floor hotel room... I thoroughly enjoyed every minute here. The lobby is full of various types of board games. There's a table with more games and records. There's plenty of sitting areas. There's a photobooth that you can take photos with Moxy branded frame. You can text or email the pictures to yourselves. We walked to so many restaurants and bars that were nearby. There's a lot of options plus night life options. We can't back after 1am one evening and saw other people waking the area. Free coffee and tea in lobby (little room). Room also has a microwave, plastic-ware, basic condiments. I look forward to another stay here or even visiting to hear their weekly DJs on Saturday nights or to visit the rooftop bar.

Yelp
Caution!!! Do Not Make a Reservation with this hotel! They provide a confirmation e-mail with a contact phone number that doesn't work. So, in the event of a cancellation, there is no way to contact them. I eventually called the number for a new reservation, just to get a human being. They then informed me that they cannot cancel the first day because it is less than 48 hours. from the reservation. I had to have American Express "freeze" my card for a week in an attempt to stop the charge.

Yelp
Ever walk into a club and think, "this would be way easier if I did not need to find my way home tonight" Moxy took that thought and made an entire hotel brand behind it. The check in for the hotel is actually behind the bar. This may cause some confusion if you are looking for some liquid refreshment and the bar tender that seems the most available refuses to take your drink order. Turns out that person is probably the Moxy concierge. The bar space has lots of nooks for groups to sit and play one of the many board games while siping some expertly crafted cocktails. Due to dim lighting this is not an ideal work space but the attached AC hotel property has a lobby that would definitely accommodate a 100% used down to 10% charged laptop work session. If you are in town for some fun this is a great option, think W hotel at a better price point. You will lose some of the in room amenities that you may be accustomed to. The lower per night price more than makes up for not having an in room coffee maker. If the weather is good head up to the roof top bar by the pool with cool shady areas to enjoy libations and some food. Great addition to the Atlanta midtown land scape, hope they do their best incorporating locals in the great atmosphere they are cultivating.

Yelp
So I really wanted to love The Moxy but it was just ok. I loved checking in and being offered a drink as I waited. I also loved how the area where you check in at is like a big lounge, there are so many chill spots to sit and talk and also many games to play... not to mention the check in counter is literally a bar! (love it) But... I hated the room... hated it. It reminded me of a college dorm room. Small as hell! I definitely wouldn't recommend this hotel for like a date night or if you have to share a room with another person. Not to mention the water pressure was so weak in my room! The toilet got clogged twice just from tissue. I'm not sure if I would stay here again...

Yelp
Was able to get a peek at this cool hotel that is minutes from all the hype in the city. Thanks to Yelp I was able to see this nice new hotel. The rooms are cool and what I like the most was the ability to check in at the bar!! In the same area, they offer free board games such as connect four, Jenna, scramble, and others. Also, a pool table is available and a camera that took pictures that I hope they didn't post lol. But the vibes here is nice. Parking is shared in a public parking deck with AC Atlanta hotel.

Yelp
Wow, this hotel was amazing! Boring, average, cookie cutter hotels are surely a thing of the past! Sheek, modern, hip and young is everything this hotel provides. At first check In ( which is at the bar!)they offer you a complimentary drink. Now that's how you welcome a guest. The lobby is spacious and actually looks like somewhere I would hang out. I ended up staying in their double queen bed suite! Please book this room, it did not disappoint. It was lovely with exciting twist. A hammock as soon as you walk in?!?! How awesome is that. But the little things is what stands out at this hotel. Like a light under your bed that lights up to help guide you every time you walk pass, I now need all the time. Love the absent closet and the smart idea of just hanging everything on the wall. The tv offers all your favorite apps including pandora to get the mood right. Beside the room, the rooftop bar is the next best thing. Filled with innovative drinks and yummy food. It is the best place to start your night. Overall, my stay at the Moxy was amazing! I can't wait to go back!

Yelp
Note: AC/Moxy hotel had invited yelp elites for a tour of their new spot. A little bit of a history. AC and Moxy are two European hotels right next to each other. These two hotels also happen to be right next to the Marriott at midtown. Marriott recently bought these two hotels and opened its doors for yelp elites. It's got everything that a modern day traveler needs. Intimate pool, gym, rooftop bar and lounge (right next to the pool), suites at terrace level that has direct access to the pool, modern living, trendy architecture, lounge with board games, bar, conference rooms and what have you. For a city like Atlanta that gets a lotta 'travel for work' folks, this setting is perfect. First: the rooms! It's clean modern with a touch of warmth of leather (see pictures for the amazing decor) rooms create that classy and relaxing mood. It's got a small kitchen/dining spot to facilitate Uber eats kinda nights or walking to a restaurant and having left overs later on. It's all about that clean eating lifestyle. A cute feature was the swing in the living area. Well why not! The suite we got a sneak peek in was at the terrace level so it might have been slightly larger. It was also a handicap accessible room (features to help with wheel chairs are available). The room is spacious and has many light settings. You can create a dim ambience to shift it to well lit. This suit was on the terrace level, so you open your bedroom doors and can walk right into the pool/rooftop lounge area. Next: pool/rooftop lounge area. There's a shower tucked in the way to the hallway. Pool is intimate. Gets crowded. There's a half covered and half open rooftop lounge with bar. Full bar service and finger foods available. Lots of seating options. Can enjoy the view. But the view is mostly of high landmark buildings. The most popular drink is rude boi. You can even ask to play the song as a background ;) the food's alright though. You know elites always gotta be all about that food! Lastly: THE lounge area. You can take the elevator down or enter through street access. It's dimly lit. Long leather couches. Life size chess board, long shuffle board tables, mid century modern photo booth (which takes genuine minds to make it work cause we couldn't figure out how to have it print the photos)." And many more stuff (see the pictures)! There's a bar at the center like a circle with many friendly bar tenders attending to everyone. Full bar. You can even spot some celebrities in town if you look around. There's also a large conference room which seats about 10-12 folks and has video conferencing capabilities. So great for travelers. This would be a great hangout spot for date nights, casual group of friends to come grab drinks and have game nights. Girls' night for sure! Even a good hangout for coworkers after work. So it caters to a large group of people. Lastly: the reception area. Honestly the reception area is understated for how nice the lounges are. It's large and spacious of course. Automatic rotating doors. Seating available around fire places. Again there's a bar. We see a theme here. You drink and spend the night. All the above hold true for AC. Except the rooms are modern and colder. It's got grey and white tones versus leather and fabric. It's a bit more Marriott looking and less current trend. And last lastly! There are parking garages next to the hotel available for public parking. The rates start with $2-$3 an hour. Hope you guys enjoy and let me know what you guys thought of the new hotel with lifestyle trend.

Yelp
Hotels bars are kickin' it up a notch in the AC/Moxy location. I am here for the fun at Moxy, ya'll! It should be noted I'm writing this review based on my experience dropping in to check out the scene. I did not stay at this hotel. The lights are low, the long room is full of heavy, modern furniture and there are games abounding. Tons of hidden nooks for guests to have more intimate conversations or play a game of chess, but also a large area for shuffleboard, pool or a game of Dare to Ask. You can definitely find some fun to get into here! There's a huge Greg Mike mural along the back wall which is a great nod to local (and makes for great pictures)! This place is super artsy and you feel cool just being there! They have some tasty cocktails on tap or they can whip you up whatever your crave from their full bar. They also had a good list of local beers. The downside here is food. It's a snacky kinda place, not a really place for noms. We tried the buffalo chicken flatbread and it was just okay. It's a limited menu as most of the items are simply microwaved, per the gentleman behind the bar. The drinks were the showstoppers, for sure!

Yelp
This hotel is really a gem. I don't know how you would find it other than online. It is connected to another hotel but man it's amazing. When you walk into the lobby to check in, you have to go to the bar. Yea, you check in at the bar and they give you 2 complimentary drinks( 2 tokens) to cash in whenever during your stay. The lobby is filled with many games to play; jenga & ping pong to name few. We Uber the whole time during our stay, it cost $25 a day to park your car there. Although there is a bar in the lobby we preferred the outside bar on the 6th floor. The drinks were great and the food was even better. The room itself was a simple yet modern look. Yes, the bathroom is small but not an issue. The bed was super comfortable and room was cleaned well. Good place to stay and enjoy your time, you honesty don't have to leave the hotel.

Yelp
I love that you don't have to be a guest at the hotel to come and enjoy all that it has to offer. First of all.....the temperature in here is completely on point. It's really hot outside, but it feels amazing in here. This space feels like a step back in time. Yhe decor is perfectly done and reminds you of the days when you were a kid just hanging out with friends and family at home. It's spacious and there is something to do in every area. There is even a photo booth. Did I mention the space where you can take a picture that says peace up A town down? There are games all over; on almost every table. Some of them are huge. We had a blast. The bartenders were friendly and the food was so amazing. We had some kind of nutella, strawberry flatbread dessert. It was served warm and tasted amazing. There is a huge tv screen on the wall. The entrance is literally right past the bar and the view is amazing. I can't wait to bring my friends here for a drink, some food, and games. Parking was only $10 after 5 and you can pay before going back to your car right by the elevators. Love it!!! Viewed a room and loved it too. It was contemporary and modern. Looked like a model home. I'd love to spend the night here.

Yelp
I had a fun night with girlfriends staying here. The vibe is awesome in the bars. Room was very nice but doesn't have a lot of extras like a fridge or extra space in general. Durham the bartender was an amazing angel. There were complimentary welcome cocktails that were delicious. My biggest complaint would be the pool. Bar service was straight up bad. The pool was crowded and overrun with kids, which was very surprising given the ambiance of the hotel. A heads up for any bar: there's an automatic 20% gratuity added.

Yelp
Service is what kicks off a great day and the team at the Moxy was exceptional. Warm greeting coming in - quickly had my room assigned and enjoyed the feel of the lobby and the room. What truly summed up the 5 star experience was Ashley at the Moxy Bar. Thanksgiving night was made more special by her knowledge of spirits particularly Whiskey and Bourbon. She understood the local scene for both food and drink, plus local distilleries. She was a delight to explore some cocktails with and has certainly made the Moxy a repeat destination. Kudos to the team for that hire!
