The Moxy hotel "concept" is the worst idea, and worst stay I've ever had of 25+ years of business travel. The idea that the reception, the bar, and the kitchen is the same area, completely nullifies any acceptable customer experience one could hope for. Every single patron that walks up and sits at the bar will NOT be served. Because the working personnel behind the reception/bar/cashier are all working as receptionist, cashier, and cook, but NOT bartender. Everyone, regardless of what your buying (a beer, a pizza, toothpaste) has to stand in line at the opposite end of the bar to "order". Only THEN can you sit at the bar and hope your drink or frozen pizza will eventually find its way to your seat. It... is... an awful and cringeworthy experience, every single night of your stay. You have no idea how many people I saw simply walk away from making their purchase, simply because the LINE to order was SO long, and the wait was ridiculous.
