Moxy Bordeaux

Once I got my room upgrade everything was fine. Initially I was put in a room with malfunctioning air conditioning. The front desk could not have been more helpful in upgrading my room. The larger room had a fantastic view, 6th floor, and good functioning air conditioning. The room was very comfortable, comfortable bathtub, good TV, and a fold-out sofa. The location of the hotel is great if you're interested in the wine museum. It's a good 25 minutes by tram into the main part of the city.

I didn’t have any issues with this hotel per se but I usually hope for a gym, some basic amenities like a coffee maker or electric kettle, etc. The room was very basic but I think that’s the point of the vibe in this hotel. Staff was friendly. A bit of a walk to the city center but close to the wine museum, grocery stores, and other places to eat.

Absolutely delightful stay. The staff went over the top to accommodate travelers. Lounge was spacious (classic Moxy) and rooms were clean and had everything we needed. Very short walk over to halles de Bacalan for food and to cité du vin for wine education. Downtown Bordeaux is 30-40 min walk along the river or hop on a tram. I would definitely stay here again next time visiting Bordeaux.

I’m a very loyal Marriott Bonvoy customer. And as such try to stay in Marriott properties whenever I can. This was one of the worst Moxys I’ve ever stayed at. Avoid at all costs. - was not recognized for my status - was incorrectly told I would get 10euro per day (it’s not the case it’s only *9 euro* per night and they would not honour this) - air con was not working - room was 26° and windows do not open - Location is outside the city - normally this would not be an issue if the Marriott brand was being followed - breakfast charge of 16€ was insane for the poor quality and selection. Riddled with flies.

Great hotel in Bordeaux! Very nice, well-located, super clean, good amenities and the staff were super friendly. I would have given a 10/10, but although breakfast was good the scrambled eggs at breakfast were made with powdered eggs instead of real eggs . That said, the fact that this is my only complaint shows just how good the hotel really is!

Interesting location if you like to be away from main stream. I did not give a higher rating because of two points : 1) breakfast is quite poor in quality and cleanliness . No towel on the bread ; no instrument to pick croissant or danish ; coffee not good so better avoid . 2) not much in the room : no fridge , no coffee machine ; not even water. I did not find any fountain or ice dispenser on the floor. So ok hotel but overpriced.

Great hotel in Bordeaux. Got a room with terrace and the view from the city is nice. Staff really professional. Only thing I missed was a small fridge in the room. Will come back!
