Moxy Lausanne City

I stayed there for one night but the stay was enjoyable. The hotel is centrally located, not that far from the train station and also close to many bars and restaurants. The room is OK in size for one person or for two who want to stay for a couple of nights only. Modern and comfortable rooms and friendly staff. They also provide a welcome drink which was a nice touch.

Really fun location and really fun staff and vibe. Lots of nightlife nearby, lots of young people. Nowhere near the lake but really close to Metro and trains. No view. Rooms are small but if you are just after a pretty basic but funky place to lay your head in a great location for not too much money, this is it. All the advantages of an international chain, without the crazy cost. The Moxy brand is pretty cool....it's a bit like a budget version of the W brand. I really enjoyed it, if only for one night....you check in at the bar!!!!

Really good stay here. I love the simplicity and comfort of the rooms. It’s quiet. A few of the front desk staff are a bit…. Sort of surly or officious ….. but most were friendly and helpful. The gym is a nothing, don’t even bother. It’s a janitor’s closet. There’s a great gym 4 mins walk away where they offer day visits for the princely sum of 25 chf.

Perfect location for enjoying all that Lausanne has to offer! We knew of the size and consistancy of the Moxy brand....tho, it would be nice to have a larger room, and a few more amenities. However, the hotel is clean, the staff kind and helpful (great restaurant suggestions) the breakfast well stocked. Because of the Moxy location we were able to easily access the Metro to go uptown or down to the lake, or to the train station to do day trips to Montreux, Vevey and the vineyards.|Because of the hills (and our age) we used an Uber to get from the Lausanne CFF to the hotel - it is only a 15 minute walk, but with luggage more that we could handle.

as a gold member, when I check in, I kindly asked if I have a complimentary upgrade, because I was shown in the Marriott app that I am eligble for a room upgrade : when I check in, the staff will try his best to upgrade me. But I was rejected by a reason' there is not an upgrade room because all the rooms in the hotel are the same' and when I went to the room, I was surprised, that I was assigned to a double bed room, even not a queen side bed or something match my normal expectation. I don't believe a hotel with three stars has no rooms with queen size bed. that is how their hotel staff treat a golden member of Marriott. and I was also kinda abused by asking me : is that my first time visiting Moxy hotel, just because I was trying to ask for a tooth kit and shaving kit... it shows the staff arrogance and innocence for what he knows and what he should know to satisfy his customers... Not recommended at all. If you want to be happy in Lausanne, don't choose this hotel.

We really liked the location. There were plenty of cafés and restaurants nearby. Although it’s on a hill, a free public transport card was provided, so if we were tired, we could just hop on a bus. We were lucky that our room faced the courtyard, so it was completely quiet.

Hotel is well located within the city center. The Moxy concept was known before booking it however the warmth of the staff is basic to be honest. As they need to look after residents and a lot of non residents, residents are left aside in my opinion. The comfort of the room is basic even for a 3 star hotel as there is absolutely no space to organize your clothes and the absence of safety box is a non sense. |Breakfast at 22 chf is average….|One of the days during our stay we left at 9am and when we came back after 4pm, the room was still not done..not acceptable. |The transport comp ticket for Lausanne city is appreciated and well thought

We stayed there for a week at the end of June. Great location. Walking distance to everything and also to public transportation. Very friendly crew. Especially Romain which was very accommodating with some issues that came up. Comfortable rooms. Quiet with cool air if needed. Fun vibe in the lobby. Highly recommend this hotel.
