Moxy Lausanne City

The Moxy experience is very different to a standard hotel but if you're prepared and set expectations appropriately it's ok. Rooms are very small, there is barely any hanging space, no wardrobes. Wouldn't stay here while on a leisure trip or if staying for more than a few nights but it's perfectly acceptable for short business trip. Check-in: No queues, checked in at bar. Status recognised, offered a late checkout, free local transport pass and drink voucher provided. 5/5 Room: Compact but very clean. High quality bathroom fittings. Shower pressure excellent. Nice large TV. Hanging space is limited. Heating only - no aircon but window openable. 4/5 Hotel location and facilities: Very centrally located. Loads of restaurants and bars in vicinity. Hotel facilities ok, breakfast adequate. Only issue was noise at night. As hotel is central (and my window was open), noise from people singing, shouting, talking at night could be an issue for a light sleeper. 4/5 Overall i would happily stay again for a short business trip but if returning for longer would be looking for a more spacious and quieter hotel. 4/5

I had a really nice two day stay at the Moxy Lausanne while on business. The room was comfortable with a nice sized bathroom and I had no issues with noise unlike some other reviewers. The welcome drink on arrival was a nice touch and my rate included breakfast which had a good choice for most tastes. Location worked well for me, with plenty of restaurants nearby for the evening and I was able to walk there from the station. As with other hotels in Lausanne once you check in you get free travel on public transport and I used both buses and the metro to get around, which worked brilliantly. The room is sparsely furnished so there really isn't any storage, which is fine for a day or two but perhaps no ideal for longer stays. There are however plenty of power points, lights and USB charging ports so all good there. In summary, a nice hotel with good amenities and I would happily return.

Located in a very fun district. Service and employees are super kind and helpful. All of them always had a kind words and super service. The rooms are small but the beds are comfy. Will come back. Love the laid back atmosphere. And super central location.

I stayed for a week at this hotel recently for a business trip. ||The staff were so friendly and welcoming. ||I was on my own and felt really comfortable in the bar area where I ate my evening meal each evening. ||The rooms are clean and comfortable. ||I will definitely be returning to this hotel. ||Highly recommend

Really good stay here. I love the simplicity and comfort of the rooms. It’s quiet. A few of the front desk staff are a bit…. Sort of surly or officious ….. but most were friendly and helpful. The gym is a nothing, don’t even bother. It’s a janitor’s closet. There’s a great gym 4 mins walk away where they offer day visits for the princely sum of 25 chf.

Perfect location for enjoying all that Lausanne has to offer! We knew of the size and consistancy of the Moxy brand....tho, it would be nice to have a larger room, and a few more amenities. However, the hotel is clean, the staff kind and helpful (great restaurant suggestions) the breakfast well stocked. Because of the Moxy location we were able to easily access the Metro to go uptown or down to the lake, or to the train station to do day trips to Montreux, Vevey and the vineyards.|Because of the hills (and our age) we used an Uber to get from the Lausanne CFF to the hotel - it is only a 15 minute walk, but with luggage more that we could handle.

Don't want to catch any sleep? This is the right place for you. Massive party going on right outside on a Wednesday, 23h30, hotel management abundant to do anything about this... The signs they put up outside to remind people to pretty please be quiet 50m+, what a ridiculous approach. As if they care... Nope, never again.

I stayed there for one night but the stay was enjoyable. The hotel is centrally located, not that far from the train station and also close to many bars and restaurants. The room is OK in size for one person or for two who want to stay for a couple of nights only. Modern and comfortable rooms and friendly staff. They also provide a welcome drink which was a nice touch.
