Free hotel shuttle provided by Airparks. At Terminal 2, follow the signs that say 'Bus/Hotel Shuttle' and head towards the Bus Terminal, Stop #11. The buses run at xx10 hrs, xx30 hrs and xx50 hrs. It makes a stop at Terminal 1 before heading to the hotels. It actually stops at a big car park building 2 mins walk from the hotel. You'll see the hotel before it turns in and alights passengers at Airpark's holding area. Then it's a short walk across the road to the hotel where you enter from the back of the hotel. Simple room, good for one for a short stay (just 1 night in my case), might be a squeeze for 2 persons with big luggages. No wardrobe, just open hanging hooks which is great too. No mini fridge but basic shower amenities are provided except toothbrush/toothpaste. Bed and pillows is a little too soft for my liking. Quite expensive for a one night stay, especially for me, it was just 10 hrs literally - to shower and sleep. There's a bus stop a few mins walk from the hotel where you can hop on a direct public bus for €4.10 (cash only, no change given, runs every 15 mins or so) or pay €10 for the Airparks shuttle (runs every 20-30 mins) back to the airport.

Due to a medical emergency, our 2 night stay became a 2 week visit. We were so very grateful for the extraordinary kindness and professionalism of everyone on staff. Special thanks to Allie and Ivana for everything they did to make our stay as comfortable as they possibly could. We have visited a number of Moxy hotels, and feel they are a great value. The Moxy Munich Airport is particularly well managed. Hopefully, under different circumstances, we can return again one day.

You get what you pay for. Rooms are clean but minimalist. Sink did not drain. No fridge. Otherwise rooms are ok. The hangout areas in the lobby are ok. There is a bar for drinks, which is good. The food is mostly disgusting, did not finish a single dish, fed it to the neighbor's dog ...take the time and drive somewhere nearby for food.

The hotel is like an aspiring modern hostel with the difference of private bathrooms. - Staff: A group of young ladies who seem to be badly paid or really dislike their jobs. They have an attitude that is not pleasant at all. They seem bored and somewhat rude. They need adult supervision. - Location: Bad as there is nothing around it. Going to the airport requires car or a bus transfer. Don’t be fooled by the map. The public bus takes a long time to show up and its stop is across the hotel and not related to the hotel. - Common areas: Designed as a college students club and with unpleasant loud music. Breakfast: acceptable but difficult to serve oneself as there are no countertop areas to place the dish while lifting lids of the food. - Meals offer: Very limited and nothing special, with no table service or room service. Bad pizzas, sandwiches, gnocchi. The guest orders at the bar and must collect the food from the bar once ready. - Rooms: Tolerable just for a single night, small, and no room for work, no armoire, no safe box. - Bathroom: good for a middle size teenager and somewhat larger than an airplane bathroom because it has a shower. - Cleanliness: Well cleaned but rooms are not free of dust. The dust can be see at night in the glass illuminated night stands. They don’t seem to clean surfaces at their best. - In summary: Don’t stay there unless there is no option.

Google
Nice property, rooms are clean but a little on the small side. One caveat. While it's an airport hotel, it's a 5-10 minute drive from the airport and not really walkable. You'll need to take a shuttle, taxi or Uber to get there.

Daniel Peixoto M.

Google
We spent some hours there after hour flight made an emergency landing. We had no idea if we were picking the right hotel or not. Turns out it was very clean, comfortable, modern looking and conveniently placed. The best part was the staff, they were very nice and helpful. Gabriel in particular was amazing! We were still kind of lost/shocked and the fact that he spoke Portuguese was really reassuring. Besides that, he did everything he could to help us settle in and relax. He's work was excellent!

Google
Amazing hotel at great location with possibility of airport connection using shuttle bus. Great place for overnight stay during long overhaul flight from Munich airport. Ambience is really amazing and several indoor game options are available to enjoy the property.

Yelp
A hip, vibrant, fun place to stay - close to the airport with great service and vibe. A young, professional staff with fun stuff available: small pool table, foosball, ping-pong, and a well-stocked bar providing great German beer (weis, helles, pilsner), assorted bottled beers and liquors - all available 24 hrs as folks come in and out from the airport. The kitchen provides typical bar food and the morning breakfast is decent with cold cuts, various assortment of bread, cereal, muesli, fresh yogurt, scrambled eggs, bacon, and sausage - the best part? The automated coffee makers which grinds the beans and provides everything from expresso, cappacino, latte, and Americano - I would press the expresso + Americano to make my coffee more robust. The property is very responsive and understanding - my flight was delayed for four hours and they allowed me to check out later normal. Plus: * Great service from great and professional staff * Received a "chip" for a free item from the bar - nice touch * Location - close to the airport, with a shuttle (although it costs E10 for a trip available every 30 minutes); travel to/from Munchen or elsewhere may be a bit of a challenge due to the location * Decent gym to maintain your workout * Comfortable beds + sheets + pillows Minus: * Rooms are small (reminded me of Japanese hotel rooms) o No closet or storage (drawers, shelves) o No refrigerator nor microwave in the room * Parking is a bit costly The Moxy property was good - for a short day or two, it would be perfect...not sure about a longer stay as it is a bit inconvenient if planning events or traveling to Munich.

Yelp
More like 3.5 stars. The vibe of this place is nice and relaxed. The lobby area is cool with lots of stuff to do. However housekeeping knocked three times at the door in one morning and started to enter. They didn't speak English so I had no idea why they were doing this. Very annoying. This could be a dealbreaker.
google avatar

Sandra O.

Yelp
A $10 fee for airport shuttle. No water in the room, titanium platinum etc makes zero difference. Pillows terrible. Housekeeping knocking on door even with a late checkout booked and a do not disturb sign in door. Breakfast ends too early. I've never used it although paid for it. Then charged for coffee.

Yelp
The moment I walked into this establishment the you could feel the plaice energy coming from the customer service. They set the scene for an excellent stay. The Hotel is modern, has a bar, food, pool table, TV and many other activities. Many place to lounge around, do business etc. room are basic and nice. I highly recommend if you need to stay close to the airport that you consider this location.

Yelp
Rebooked flight. United Airlines sent me here. Great room and super clean. Good dinner buffet and bar. Excellent stay and highly recommend.

Yelp
We stay here frequently when we fly in and out of Munich after visiting Austria. This hotel is great! So clean, such an awesome vibe, so close to the airport with transportation included. Front desk check in is friendly and easy, and are fluent in English. We always order pizza and go pick it up in the lobby--highly recommend that!

Yelp
Great hotel if you want to be close to the airport for a flight. FREE shuttle to the hotel. Terminal 1 bus stop #6. Terminal 2 bus stop #11. Bus comes twice an hour. "Park voguel shuttle service" it has about 15 seats and a luggage rack. There was a piece of paper taped to the bus that said "moxy hotel" I just got on the bus and it took me to the hotel. Where you get off is the same place you take the bus when you want to go back to the airport. 2 min walk from hotel lobby. It is next door to the hotel. Shuttle service to the airport is 7€ and you pay and reserve at the front desk. Goes xx:30 and xx:00. The bus will drop you off in the same location you caught the shuttle at the airport. Ride was less then 15 minuets. Hotel room was clean and fit my needs for 1 night. Would recommend just for how easy and efficient the shuttle service was. Hassle free!! Friendly hotel staff!

Benton W.

Yelp
Nice place to stay for Munich Airport. I don't love that the shuttle is 10 euros per person. You're better off taking a cab. If you eat there, order the local food rather than the stuff made for Americans

Yelp
Like many, it was a brief one day stay as I awaited my flight back to US. However it was an impressively high style, hip experience. Expect to get What you need in this economic brand, but not a lot of additional services. The bar is the check-in for the hotel, no reservation desk. It is nice that daily there is a hot meal available in the dinning area. I would stay here again for a brief stay but not for an extended visit. Not to forget the staff was super friendly.

Yelp
My time at the Munich Moxy hotel was brief, however I was not too impressed with this particular Moxy Compared to my other experiences. All members of the staff that I encountered were very young, which is common in this brand. The thing is, they didn't seem to have that essential service piece down very well. It's one thing to be cool and young,But you still want to have an inviting friendly demeanor. I didn't get that feel that at this Moxy. My room was so basic, it felt like a prison cell. I know, that's harsh, but I wasn't expecting such a small room. The little details were lacking at this location, for example ,something as simple as the infused water at the bar that they have it at their locations. On the plus side, this hotel is part of the Marriott ecosystem and is far less expensive than the other brands. In addition, the location is Extremely close to the Munich airport, which made it an excellent choice for a quick layover in Munich.

Yelp
Moxy is a new fun and adventurous brand within the Marriott family of lodging. They are a boutique hotel chain that embraces a let loose and enjoy yourself attitude. In my opinion it is a great hotel for people in their 20's to early 30's but my husband and I felt very comfortable and welcome. When you check in there is a bar and a coffee service at the front desk. They advertise that there is a drink waiting for you with you room key....and someone at the bar that wants your number. It's all tongue in cheek humor to give you a sense of belonging and relaxation. They have pool tables, games, karaoke, a business center and lots more to offer. The bar is thriving and the employees are genuinely nice and accommodating. The rooms are small, clean and comfortable. The staff is accommodating and very friendly.

Yelp
This review is for the food. Listen..... They really had me fooled with the expensive menu and attractive ambiance. But can I just say, the food is close to inedible. We had three different items on the menu and two of them were cold and gross. The pizza was warm but obviously a grocery store pizza. It's 24 hours later and I still get chills thinking about this meal. #trauma #survivor

Yelp
We stayed here the night before our flight. We had 3 family members so we had a room with a queen and a pull out sofa. As a Marriott titanium member, we were disappointed with perks. No breakfast, no free water for room, no drink chip. When we have stayed at other Moxy hotels, we received a drink chip. The hotel is not within walking distance of any restaurants. If you do not have a car, you are stuck or you need to Uber. The first floor area had a fun vib. It was great to see lots of folks down in the area having a drink, playing a game or having light summer Our room was clean and had a nice modern appearance. We had something in our room that made a buzz off and on all night. We could not figure out what was causing it. It kept all 3 of us up most of the night. The sofa bed was very noisy. Every time the person using it moved, it squeezed. The sheets felt like they were washed in a harsh detergent since they made us itch and have mild hives.

David E.

Yelp
Very close to the airport nice place . Employees make this place rock whatever you need they make it happen

Yelp
Traveling around Europe for 2 weeks and this has been the best hotel we've stayed in yet! Bathroom is great and the pull out sofa is actually comfortable!

Yelp
So I was traveling to Munich last week on a last minute business trip and because I had to take 3 trains, a plane and an automobile I knew when I got to Munich I was going to be exhausted so I attempted to book at the Hilton there. Unusually, the Hilton was fully booked and despite multiple attempts, I couldn't get a room there. Lucky me! I searched to see what other hotels were around and found the MOXY (part of the Marriott hotel group). I stayed at Marriotts a lot 15-20 years ago and I thought what the heck I'll give it a try. I had no idea what I was in for. To start, the front desk is also a bar. Yes, that's right, check in and order a shot in the same sentence! Staffed by millennials, this is a hotel designed for people looking for a totally different hotel experience - in a good way. The entire place felt like a mashup of a B&B, a bar and a nightclub. The decor was cool and funky. The feel of the place was upbeat and fun. When I checked into my room that night, I was completely exhausted but I couldn't pass up the opportunity to go back down to the bar cum front counter and order a draft beer and soak up it and the ambience of the place. I had a spirited conversation about the value of microbreweries with the bartender/clerk who served me. I walked around and saw a large electronic shuffleboard table, a foosball table and plenty of places to hang out and chill. Christmas decorations mixed in with handwritten notes to the guest on the mirrored walls of the elevators (I think it was written with lipstick and yes you guys, I could in fact read your handwritten messages ha!). The room was small but nicely appointed. Everything was clean and comfortable. Again, the decor was spot on avant garde and fun without hurting my eyes. Check out the picture on the TV. That's the style they have. Interesting note, just after I woke up the next morning at 7am, there was a significant hail storm that came through for about 5 minutes. Pea to marble sized hail pelted hard but the windows were solid and after about 2 minutes the window was completely covered in ice but I felt safe and warm. I didn't get a chance to try out room service (not even sure if they have it) or test guest services out, but the staff experience I had was excellent. 4 stars only because I felt the cost was a bit high (about $200 US) for the room size I had. If you're in Munich, I guarantee that this hotel will be a huge surprise for you - especially considering the typical airport hotel experience!

Yelp
I spent one night at MOXY Munich Airport, had to catch a morning flight and was told there was an airport shuttle 8:30 am for 10 Euros leaving "from the hotel." I'm 75 years old and came downstairs at 8:25 am dragging three suitcases behind me and asked the two receptionists huddled around the computer screen at the desk how to get to the shuttle. My nose was bleeding and it was obvious I was a bit stressed out and disoriented. There were no other guests in the lobby, and the two employees were busy chatting with each other. I was alone and in a hurry not to miss the shuttle. The two receptionists barely looked at me and just said "Follow the arrows." I turned around and started following the arrows on the floor which led clear across the lobby, out a back door, then on across a large expanse of grass to a neighboring building. Probably a good six minutes' walk... without the luggage. Definitely not connected to the hotel. When I made it, panting and shivering in the freezing cold, to the shuttle stop, a lady appeared from a doorway and told me I couldn't buy the ticket there or on board the shuttle. Tickets were only sold AT THE HOTEL. I barely had time to run all the way back to the reception, leaving ALL MY LUGGAGE UNATTENDED in the street, and I paid the 10 Euros. By the time I ran back to the shuttle station, I had almost fainted from exhaustion and the cold, and couldn't stop the nosebleed! I told the two Moxy "employees" that they could have at least warned their guest, who had never set foot at their hotel before, that he had to purchase the ticket BEFORE sending me on my merry way along the arrows. They answered, without an ounce of compassion or regret, "You didn't TELL US YOU NEEDED A TICKET!" Really??? Couldn't they have guessed? Later, at the shuttle stop, I saw a young couple arrive also without a ticket, but unfortunately the shuttle driver said he couldn't wait for them to go back to the hotel. Apparently the staff at the MOXY have better things to do than bother giving essential information to their guests. How's that for customer service?
google avatar

Steph G.

Yelp
As with other Moxy Hotels it has a young hip vibe. Expansive lobby and living room areas with a bar and plenty of food BS beverage options. Friendly check in desk that acknowledged my Elite status. A bit smaller rooms than Milan or Scottsdale but clean nonetheless. Bed comfort average. Nice dark drapery though. Fast wifi. Plenty of English Channels on tv. Nice soap amenities. Would return. Great for a layover. Maybe 10 minute shuttle ride.
google avatar

Marc R.

Yelp
If you have business near the airport or are looking for a hotel very close to the airport, this hotel is a perfect choice. But if have to get into Munich proper, be prepared to pay 70 to 100 euro each way. If you take the extra time and expense into consideration the price is not really a bargain. The rooms are on the compact side but the modern feel and plenty of common area make it very livable. PRO tip. There is a very nice village about 1 mile down the road. Very nice walk and not a tourist area at all. Highly recommend the stroll.

Yelp
This review comes a while after my visit (October 2017). But better late than never right. I stayed for 5 nights. Perfect hotel for tech savvy travelers and those looking to spend more time exploring Munich than staying in a hotel room. USB connection in outlets is a blessing for international travelers (no need for adapters for mobile/tablets). Good selection of grab and go items for sale (Pepsi, water, fruit, snacks, and sandwiches) quick dinners available for around 10€ usually with a small salad as well. Good drink selection at the bar beers and liquors. Fresh ingredients in drinks were fresh. Free WiFi For my purposes the room was perfect. Others may take issue with a lack of closet, but there are hangers to hang up more formal wear. No room phone to call front desk (which I liked) they'd rather have you interact face to face with staff. Staff was knowledgeable about the moxy brand and the area. Also many had the ability to converse in multiple languages. The only downside was the ability to get to public transit. There's a shuttle that runs for limited hours from the nearby car park for around 5€ (although it does look like they extended the hours of service since my stay) otherwise taxi ride cost around 25€ each way, or bus for around 7€. Common areas kept very clean. This was my First moxy stay. A friend of mine worked for Marriot and suggested staying at this one since I was headed to Munich and wanted my honest opinion. Since staying at the Moxy Airport Munich I've been staying at Moxy's when traveling both in the US and abroad when an option.

Yelp
I've never written a review while at a Yelp business, but this hotel has surpassed all expectations of any hotel and particularly an airport hotel. Our family has over 150 hotel nights annually, and the Moxy will stand out as one of the best this year. From the energetic welcome to the great assortment of grab and go foods to the HUGE assortment of games in the lobby...the Moxy has made our final night in Germany memorable. On practical terms: the rooms are European sized, but clean, comfortable and quiet. Free wifi-no password. No airport shuttle, but easy access with shuttle or taxi. Danke!!!

Ronny G.

Yelp
We were staying in Munich for a layover and decided to stay at the Moxy. As most have mentioned, this is party central. I compared it to a hotel with a hostel feel. Everything is self-service in this hotel. So room service is essentially you cooking a TV dinner downstairs. The lobby provides ping-pong,billiards, and even Foosball. I recommend staying here if you want to be close to the Airport. The one downfall being the location but still worth the value.
google avatar

Allen C.

Yelp
We really enjoyed our stay at Moxy Munich Airport. It was perfect for a very early flight. They certainly have the young hip vibe going but for us 47 year olds it was just fine too. The 10 min shuttle ride from the airport was easy to navigate but I'd recommend listening to their phone to understand exactly how to catch it. I would not stay at this hotel for a Munich city visit. It's an airport hotel and should be treated as such.

Yelp
We stayed at other Moxies before and this one is very similar. The hotel is modern, welcoming, and is a happening place! When you artive you'll see that the check-in desk is attached to a bar, which is open 24/7. Both times we'd stayed at a Moxy hotel we have received a free adult beverage when checking in. The night we stayed at this Moxy happened to be my 19th wedding anniversary. Being that I didn't speak exceptional German, the front desk was happy to assist me with making reservations at a local restaurant and having them do something special for us on our special day. Upon Our return from dinner back to the hotel, the staff recognized us and remembered it was our anniversary, and treated us each to a free drink. The rooms here are a little bit small, but the Price Is Right, the atmosphere is spot-on, and I cannot say enough about the exceptional customer service that the folks here provide. I will absolutely choose a Moxy Hotel anytime I am traveling if there is one available.
google avatar

Phil W.

Yelp
I stay here the night before departing Germany about 5 or 6 times a year and it gets gradually more disappointing. The check in queue moves slow and the parking is over priced. They offer entertainment, which is great, if it was in any sort of usable condition. I think the transition of the pool table speaks to the quality of this place: first time here great pool setup, next time no chalk for the cues...so no big deal, I'll bring some chalk for under $1. Get back here and now cues have NO TIPS! They advertise these great things and the are unusable. Management needs to step it up and get this place to the as advertised level.

Yelp
This hotel is seriously so damn cute and makes me wish my 14 hour lay over in Munich. Yep, had a very long layover and decided to get a hotel room in the meantime, and this hotel was really close to the Munich Airport. very convenient. The staff were so damn friendly. and cute too ;) Complimentary mixed drinks right when you get in. Damn. Very hospitable and so welcoming. The rooms were so nicely decorated and amazing. Beds were big for my bf and I, and they had a huge plasma screen TV. bathrooms, are a little small, but nothing to complain. We also got the breakfast, very yummy, and their set up in the lounge area is so nice. At night time, they have music and people in the hotel just lounge around and talk and drink. Honestly the highlight of my Germany trip.

Yelp
Good hotel, friendly staff, rooms bigger than typical European standards. Bed was very comfortable.

Yelp
Great place to hang out when on a layover. Close to airport. Friendly staff, fun atmosphere. Exceeded expectations.

N A.

Yelp
Great Price for clean room with friendly staffs. It's a perfect Airport hotel. 5 Euro/person for shuttle service to/from Airport. Minus one star for No Alarm clock, mini bar, microwave, coffee maker nor kettle.

Mike D.

Yelp
This hotel is very nice. HOWEVER IT IS AN AIRPORT HOTEL! Do not stay here as your base for exploring Munich. It is FAR from the Town center and there is absolutely nothing within walking distance (restaurants, etc). The hotel is clean and modern and the staff are great. I stayed here after a long day of train travel before flying home so it worked out nicely.

Yelp
Eeeek! Should have been warned that check out was slower than molasses, that the 10 am shuttle bus was actually 9:50 and it was two buildings away. Ended up having to hire a cab to get to the airport. Communication across the board was poor. Loud music in the check in/bar/food area made it hard to bridge the language barriers. Hot food was a crock pot of goulash for heavens sake. Funky, yes. But fresh food not an option apparently. The halls were dark and nasty looking, noise from the hallway was virtually unattenuated by the flimsy door. Did not feel safe as a woman traveling alone. "Desk" such as it was -- was grossly inadequate for much of anything meaningful in all of it's tiny size and lack of suitable seating. The seating area in the bar/pool table/whatever area was dark, uncomfortable and unappealing. While they advertise as a "hip" hotel, I could do without the lights that come on when you get out of the bed --- I'm plenty able to find the loo in the night -- and would have loved a clock and a more fitting place to hang a few items other than the pegs on the walls. Bed was certainly not up to Marriott standards -- and as a frequent traveler I have always booked Marriott properties because they are consistently clean, professional, and seemed to cater to the business traveler. Very disappointed and will definitely seek out alternate accommodations next trip. Sorry Moxy. I tried to love th cutesy stuff -- but the functionality wasn't there for me.

Yelp
I only stayed at this hotel on a overnight layover, but the staff were so welcoming, helpful and energetic, especially William. So much so that for future travels, I would consider traveling to Germany because the 1st impression was that good! As for the hotel itself, it has a trendy hipster vibe. In the lobby area, they have a TV, pool table and other games for entertainment. The rooms themselves are clean and modern; accompanied w/ the most basic necessities for modern life; an ironing room near by, a TV, window, clothing rack. However, there was no fridge in the room. The bathroom is very clean, however it's somewhat small. Nonetheless, I would go back to this hotel if I was in Germany for a short stay, as it's about 40 minutes from downtown Munich. So, if you have a long stay, probably best to stay in the downtown area because taking Uber or Taxi from here to downtown will cost about 60-70 Euro.
