We booked a king room for 4 nights, but when we got there the hotel was out of king rooms. They gave us a room with two queens that were not even next to each other (each bed was around a corner from each other in a tiny room). When I tried to get some sort of consideration or credit the next morning, the hotel claimed I had booked two queens, even though during check-in they knew it was a king before I even said anything. Terrible service. The rooms are incredibly loud (music from the lobby) and have zero furniture other than a bed (no chairs, not desks). They have a tremendous amount of coat hooks and were quite clean. The location is great and walkable to the French Quarter. Will not stay in a Moxy hotel again.

We stayed at this location for 2 nights during Super Bowl weekend and we loved everything about it. Upon check-in we were greeted by Jalisa, who has the most beautiful spirit. She asked for our names once and greeted us by name during our entire stay. We also noticed her greeting other guests by name, which i found very impressive. Unlike most Moxy's we've stayed at the rooms were much larger than we expected. We encountered a small issue with our room, but after speaking to Clint and George it was quickly rectified. The bartender Sage, was amazing as well. Because of these 4 people alone, we will definitely be staying at this Moxy again.

So this is a Moxy, not a Marriott. Yes, it’s a Marriott property, though not with Marriott amenities. But there are amenities here, and frankly it’s refreshing to have a chill vibe at the bar and billiards. The staff was friendly throughout and the free drink for staying here was a nice touch. Listen, as a Marriott guy, I appreciate the variety Marriott has to offer. New Orleans is for many a place to party - and crash. The mattress we had was great. That’s always a plus. We slept well and the shower was functional. There are some drawbacks as far as the furnishing goes, especially for what one could pay. I didn’t dig the room’s minimalist feel akin to - I hate to say it - a youth hostel. I would stay here again, but I won’t bring much luggage. There’s nowhere to keep it other than in your bag, on the floor. Keep in mind New Orleans is great to visit any time of year but rates do vary noticeably throughout the year. I used points during my stay, but I’d pay for 1-3 nights here, though no longer than that. Thank you Moxy!

Great walking distance to Bourbon St and other places. Cute upbeat hotel. Staff was excellent! Shout out to Joy the bartender! The only complaint is the heat didn't work at 1st, but who really expected to have to turn it on? When I told them, maintenance was in from in less that 5 minutes working on it. The heating unit was loud and I had to turn the tv up louder than I like but I was warm.

I booked this hotel through dayuse. I broke my cardinal rule by not confirming my reservation. When I got to the hotel, I was told there were no rooms ready…. BUT, in less than 10 minutes, I was checked in and was in a room. I booked this to rest after a cruise. I was awakened 2 times by housekeeping staff asking if I was checking out soon when I had the room booked until 5 pm. That being said.. the room was clean and had some cute little touches. The negatives for me would be that there was no in room safe or refrigerator.

We stayed one night at this Moxy hotel location, and this hotel stay was super underwhelming considering we have stayed at many different Moxy locations in the past. The hotel room had a funky gas smell so we requested to change rooms, the staff was very kind and immediately gave us a new room. But unfortunately the other room had the same smell, not as strong though. The shower was super tight and difficult for my husband to shower (5’11) because the shower head was placed low. Also wasnt offered any complimentary shampoo or body wash at the hotel room so we had to ask for some downstairs. The room just looked old and low quality. The location was okay, but I recommend staying at a different hotel if you want to be closer to nice cafes and restaurants. The gym was super tight and uncomfortable to get a good workout in. Overall this was one of the worst Moxy locations we have stayed at.

Okay everyone, I never leave reviews but my experience at the moxy was so bad I needed to make one. For context, I stayed at the Moxy during Super Bowl week, I was here since I needed to work an important event for my company with high end clients. When I first arrived, I was informed by staff that my reservation was cancelled, even though I got charged for the room and I received a confirmation email that same day to check into my room. I noticed that not only was I having this issue, but the couple next to me had their reservation cancelled as well and a group of about 5 people also had this problem. After waiting for about 45 minutes for a manager to speak to me, he did absolutely nothing at all but ask me to pay for the room AGAIN. I figured I would just pay since I needed a place to stay while I was down here and I could just dispute the charge later on. After that, I went up to my room to the dismay that it felt like a prison. There were absolutely no windows, no drawers or desk, and no closet. There was absolutely nothing but a bed, nightstand, mirror and bathroom. The next day, I woke up and realized there wasn’t a blow dryer in my room. Since I wanted to present the absolute best version of myself to these clients at my event, I kindly requested a blow dryer from the front desk. I then went out and all day and was getting work done ( since I couldn’t work in my room) and checking out New Orleans. I come back around 3 o’clock and noticed o still haven’t received my blow dryer. I figured it was an honest mistake and went back downstairs and requested a blow dryer again. I then needed to leave to setup for my event at 4. When I returned at 530, I once again saw I didn’t have a blow dryer, I then walked downstairs frustrated and requested another one, but I needed if urgently as I had to leave at 630 for the event. After waiting for 15 minutes, I finally received one. I then returned to my room to find out if doesn’t work. After going back down the 4th time and 30 minutes later, I finally received one that does work. The staff here didn’t care to accommodate me whatsoever and they all just tried to pawn off anything to the next employee as they were too lazy to do anything. My experience here was pretty awful and staff was the absolute cherry on top. 10/10 do not recommend

Google
From outside this hotel was a bit of a mess as construction was happening across the street. That said, once inside I was pleasantly surprised by both the “cool vibe,” and very effective check-in procedure. ||Where this hotel really shines is the truly special, well designed guest rooms. The “cool vibe” from the lobby continued to my room. The way ir was designed ensured everything worked in harmony. Frankly, I loved this place.||Its location was perfect, the staff, ideal, and the guest rooms very comfortable. What more could you want?

Yelp
Really cool hotel in a great NOLA location. We had several issues ( of our own, not the hotel fault) and Yvonna went above and beyond in trying to rectify everything. She was amazing. Very pleasant and caring. Trey was also there in the morning to help and we were surprised to hear he had only been there 2 weeks. There is construction noise, but Yvonna tried to accommodate us the best she could, and in the end,, it worked out perfect. We will be back.

Yelp
I'm a frequent Marriott traveler and used points for my Son for a quick escape between christmas and new years. I cannot even begin to describe how disappointed I am with this hotel. I didn't read the Yelp reviews prior to booking as I am always confident that any Marriott brand will be good - I've stayed at many through the years on business, pleasure, points, no points and I can only think of 1 other time when I had a bad experience and it wasn't even close to the horrible nature of this hotel. First - why 2 stars - the location is great. There is absolutely no other reason for the 2nd star. The place in general is dirty - very dirty - there was blood on the towels in the room - carpets were filthy - cleanliness overall made is worrisome. The bed was very uncomfortable. It was so bad that I will be contacting Marriott to discuss. Do not stay here - stay at the Marriott on Canal street if you want a marriott.

Yelp
Worth the price. Wasn't blown away. It worked to rest and go. It's a great location. No thrill. No gym. No pool. It's just a place to sleep

LaTeri M.

Yelp
Let me tell y'all Hannah is one of the best mixologist I've ver experienced. Those drinks had me in a chokehold lol. The room was solid and I do appreciate the token to get a drink.

Yelp
The Moxy New Orleans is great and located just a block away from Canal Street. The staff here is phenomenal - I'd especially like to thank Michael and Amber Lee for making my stay extra special. The lobby of this hotel smells SO good!! They do offer snacks and drinks for a small price and free coffee in the morning. There are plenty of instagram worthy spots for those looking for it and games to play!! The whole idea is to gather as a community. I would certainly stay here again!! Also they do use a parking garage near by for those who drive.

Theresa D.

Yelp
Was holding off on a review until I got resolution, but seeing as though I may not. I will just voice a warning here, I was charged valet parking and was told I'd get a credit and haven't. I don't park a car nor drive one. I simply want my stolen money back.

Yelp
Great location. Nice KREWE at the front desk and the bar, but...we encountered quite a few issues during a three night stay. The good. Super friendly staff. Nice to be able to check in and be met with a warm smile. Coffee and tea are available in the lobby. If the hot community coffee pot was empty, they would go to refill it. For hot tea, there was not a hot water container, but they were happy to fill a cup from the bar. Sips and paint Friday night at 7 PM. Complimentary small canvas, easels and paint provided at the bar. Loved my sunset mock-tail with a splash of ginger. So fun. Location. On the same street as the Waldorf Astoria Roosevelt Hotel, but a fraction of the price. So easy and convenient to walk to Royal Street, the Quarter or the Riverwalk. The not so good. Housekeeping was due every other day. During our three night, four day stay, we ran out of tissues, had damp towels due to a very intermittent steamy shower with no vent in the bathroom and had an overflowing garbage can because the housekeeping never came even once in a three night, four day stay. When we asked about it on checkout, the response was oops, we've had to cut back on services. Love the shower with both a large overhead rain shower and a hand held. Plenty of soap and shampoo in the full sized permanent containers, which was key due to no housekeeping and also better for the environment. Unfortunately, the water was hot, cold, very cold, hot, very hot and then very cold. Good for a quick rinse, but not for a longer shower. Key cards!!! Our keycards worked when we checked into the room.....and then they didn't. Had to change the keycards at least 2-3 times a day because we kept getting a yellow instead of a green light on the door. Bumped into the general manager on Friday afternoon when my keycard was not working, again, and he said it was because the deadbolt was on in the room, then he chuckled and walked away. Got a new keycard and guess what? The new card worked again, but just once, until I needed to get another new keycard the next time I needed to open the door to my room. Location is great. Price was very good for graduation and awards weekend, but not up to the standards that I've come to expect from Marriott and Moxy.

Yelp
This was one of the worst Marriott experiences. If you are torn between here and paying $30, $40, $50 more! Do it!! The extra star was for the staff we had interaction with, they did a great job with what they had and made meaningful interactions. Now let's get into it: I always pictured Moxy as a hip hotel in the center of the action and it was. What I did not realize it is a minimalist hotel! There are very few basic bells and whistles that you expect and that were not included. Iron- the room was equipped with a steamer but there are ironing rooms on every other floor. Desk and chair- each room has a folding small round table and a folding chair that is a hybrid of a lawn chair and a regular folding chair. Not conducive to working at all. In this day and age of remote work and travel for work I found this unacceptable. Closet- no closets just hooks everywhere. So no really privacy or place to stow items to get them out the way. Bathroom- we had one roll of toilet paper and when it ran out they brought us a half used roll to replenish. The sink faucet spout arm is short so when you use the water it gets all over the sink. The shower door refused to stay close while showering so water is all over the floor and you need additional towels to soak up the water. The bathroom did not have an exhaust fan so humidity and moisture stayed in the bathroom all day. It's like a mold fest waiting to happen. Special request: When we requested more towels, we left the room and they placed them on the floor of the hallway with no protection. Tissue mentioned above. When we walked in the hall the cleaning lady asked if we were departing for the day so she could go in. We told her 10 mins the room was not serviced. When we returned we learned the room would not be serviced that day and more towels could be provided if needed. This time I asked that the towels be placed in a bag and the staff member apologized for the previous delivery. Checkout is 11a but at 10:45a the TVs were powered down. I could go on but in short this is a no for me. I would go somewhere else 1000 times over.

Yelp
This has been a very sad welcome to the Crescent City. Upon check in, it became clear that the check in associate was going to favor the guests in front of us as he spent a lot of time ensuring they were all set. When it came to me, he rushed through the process and explained the amenities of the building in a very unintelligible tone and volume. It was hard to hear over the loud music and ensuing altercation between other people in the lobby. It's one thing to connect with guests over similarities, but it's completely inappropriate to disparately treat other guests. The room, which is a dungeon; had an AC unit which did not work and was in Celsius. Thankfully they dispatched an engineer who turned the AC on, which was unable to be turned off. It was literally freezing in the room. I went back downstairs and same guy said he couldn't do anything for me. As per my pictures, the room came with a broken chair and ADA shower. This is a problem as the shower head is at 3-4 feet and I am not. Also, the room has a view of a literal wall, which everyone should know about. I hope Marriott investigates this disparate treatment and substandard accommodation of the Moxy NOLA. I wouldn't stay here, period.

Annette F.

Yelp
Two old ladies taking a break. Moxy has a great location, just off of Canal Street. The lobby was just fun. We enjoyed our welcome drink, thank you! Our room was huge, very comfortable. The room service had a few glitches, but they were easy to fix

Caitlin C.

Yelp
Our room smelled like body odor upon checking in. We couldn't figure out where the smell was coming from until we realized it was the bedding. I was grossed out for the rest of my stay. Not only that, but the room was loud. You could hear the traffic all day and night. Though it's convenient I'd avoid this hotel. The only reason I'm giving it two stars instead of one is because the employees were friendly and kind.

Chengtian W.

Yelp
This is the most very basic hotel, no microwave, not coffee pot, no desk, really terrible cable, remote doesn't work, you can see the problems with the slow water pressure, slow drains and even the shower handle fell off. and some rude people such as the woman at check in talking very fast and treating people like dismissive attitude even though I'm a gold member.

Christopher H.

Yelp
This hotel was a Joke! After booking and confirming my reservations I arrived at the hotel to be informed they were sold out! After given the front desk clerk my confirmation number she acted as though it didn't exist once I informed him that I spoke with him not long ago ago, roughly about an hour ago he suddenly remembered and act as if he pulled up my reservations. After that, he informed me that there was a glitch in system that allowed the hotel to overbook rooms and he informed it was nothing else he could do after being irate for a couple seconds I asked him if sooner they can come or refund my card he informed me that was a corporate issue and it would take roughly 72 hours to have the refund issue on my card and instructed me to check a nearby hotel for availability for the night.

Vickie M.

Yelp
I popped in just to see what all the hype was about on the television commercials. I must say this looks like a fun place to stay. As you enter, up beat is playing. Look at the pictures to check out the cute decorations. I'd definitely like to stay here.

Claudia H.

Yelp
Good location with a modern take on the decor. That said: no mini fridge, terrible lighting and the sink in the room. The reality is that no one wants to groom in the room with anyone else looking on. Bring your own makeup light because the lighting will cause trauma. Not sure what to do about medicine or other items that need to be kept in a refrigerator. There is no restaurant, but there is New Orleans out the front door. The lobby is nice with a decent bar and seating area with a sweet little pool table and other toys for your entertainment. Prepackaged bagels were for sale in a corner. They were dated from three days before so we passed. Beds/bedding/towels/shower are all excellent. So 4 out of five.

Joe B.

Yelp
$350 a night (not including hidden fees) for this bag of garbage - stay anywhere else. The look-and-feel is nice (whoever designed this gets kudos), but EVERYTHING about the execution of this place gets -3 stars. For starters, we bought the package from their site that includes breakfast. Except they don't serve breakfast? Checking in involves going to the bar and waiting for the slow service that you'll get for your entire stay. There's no comped parking or even a discount on the garage next door, so tack on $33 / day. Our check-in guy clearly doesn't care about either of these failures, and his lack of concern for us guests was very apparent. He offered a $10 bar credit for their selling us a breakfast package that can't be delivered. Some friendlier staff were encountered later through the trip, but not enough to make up for their terrible introduction to this place. Besides terrible hiring / training and con artist sales packages, the rooms are lacking some basics (see some of the other reviews I've glanced at). Also, random things don't work, like the front door occasionally doesn't want to slide open. While it's not their property, the garage elevator door will absolutely close on you if you're in the doorway. (Note to self: post more positive reviews of places I like, so I don't look like a cranky bastard)

Mr W.

Yelp
My room was hot I woke up to roaches I was charge for valet when I self parked my car the manager just said sorry we thought u parked here so I was charged anyway and bar charge was also on my check out ridiculous they slip things on u when it's football season

Beverly C.

Yelp
So we stayed there because a couple of people in our party have are Marriott Bonvoy members and like collecting points. This is not like other Marriott's though. The room is the smallest hotel room I have ever stayed in. There are pegs on wall to set up mini table because otherwise there isn't much room. It feels like a college dorm. The lobby and rest of the hotel are made for 20 year old college kids. Instead of an iron in the room, you have a steamer. There is a shared ironing room on every other floor and ice on every other floor. The shower was not very clean; water build up, leaky head, dirty towel and you only get two. My door wouldn't lock. The AC is extremely loud when it kicks in. The bathroom sink is outside of bathroom. Even in the bathroom, there is only 1 tiny shelf that barely fit our allotted two towels. The toilet is gigantic and blocks entry to the shower. There is not a fridge in the room. It is not like other Marriott's, so if you are over 30, look for another brand. We had 5 couples and none of us will ever stay in a moxy again. Spend $10 a night and go somewhere else.

Antonio R.

Yelp
Checking into the hotel was odd, the lady at the front desk didn't mention the card I gave her was only going to be for incidentals when I wanted to use my card for the whole stay. Had to mention to fix that only when my card got a notification it was charged that I didn't give her. Got into our room & there was a maintenance cart, she put us in the wrong room. Had to come back down to get our correct room keys. Every time we came down to get a drink they wouldn't pay attention to us or look up until we said something because they were changing the music on their phones. The worst part was when we finally checked out and got our car from valet. We have been driving from Cali with a full car and nothing has gotten scratched. We get our car from valet and our tint is scratched from what looks like turning the car a hard left, also because all of our stuff was slid to the right of the car. The parking lot was very close, not sure why they had to whip the car that hard. At least going to be $150 repair which they didn't offer any compensation for and did not take ownership of. Very sad and disappointed.

Miracle R.

Yelp
cute boutique hotel, prime location walkable to numerous restaurants and establishments in French qtr.  Good service. Appreciate the complimentary drink. The rooms were clean. I appreciate it the self store luggage option, If you arrive early or leave later than your checkout time. Overall, I'd recommend and look forward to staying again.

Yelp
Who does not love New Orleans. There is history, culture, food, and the enchantment that you experience all the city has to offer. On my most recent trip, I stayed on or, in this case, near the infamous Bourbon St. On this visit, I stayed at the Moxy. It is one of Marriott's newer hotel lines.i have to say, i like the outdoor appearance and love that check-in is at the bar. What I didn't like were the rooms and lack of a restaurant to serve at least bar food. The property seems to cater to younger generations. Emphasis on the bar and lobby. The rooms, however, are a different story. By far, the tiniest roooms i have ever stayed in. My dorm room in college was bigger. Have the toilet, sink, and sbower in my face was not appealing. The bed was very uncomfortable. It was very lumpy, and iI recalled hearing springs. My window did not open to the street but a dark hole, and I could see light from the street much further, up the wall where my window was located. I would say if you are the traditional Marriott customer, I would not stay at Moxy. If you love Marriott, on a budget, and can sleep through anything, Moxy is the place for you. Don't get me wrong, it has all of the nice finishes you expect from Marriott, but the experience, far from what Marriott is capable of delivering. Safe Travels.

Ed R.

Yelp
This place is absolutely amazingly cool with so much fun and comforting despite from the hard play NOLA is. In the pulse of this cities music, drank, and amazing food is this even more amazing hotel. Some of the amenities are a communal share system like an ironing board but the stuff that matters is ALL yours. The place is very clean everywhere as the staff is very friendly and attentive to you and the facility. Everything NOLA is a hop skip away so you can take great breaks and a breather from the crazy fun and crowds.

Grant S.

Yelp
The Moxy in NOLA offers a prime location, comfy beds, spacious rooms, and top-notch TVs. While the bar ambiance is a highlight, the pricey valet and recurring AC problems, coupled with limited storage, somewhat dampen the overall stay.

Kelly W.

Yelp
If you're considering this because you've stayed at other Moxy's--let me stop you right there. I fear this is not an actual Moxy Hotel. Don't be fooled like me. Bowling alley-adjacent carpets and peeling dark gray and hot pink paint adorn this sad excuse for a Marriott hotel. The bathrooms at the Bourbon Street gentleman's club were far more luxurious. Bring a hazmat suit and a sleeping bag to rest on the drug rug comforters. I'm afraid I will have to quarantine after this experience before I enter back into the real world.

Kenyonna B.

Yelp
We've stayed in a few moxys in the past and was thoroughly unimpressed. The lady that checked us in had a an attitude and wasn't to helpful when asked Ming additional questions about the city. Besides being able to have a safe place to sleep that was the only upside of booking here. She also didn't mention the free drinks upon check in. We had to ask about that. If you've never stayed at a moxy the free drink is a perk you get upon check in. Ehhh just stay somewhere else.

Guido V.

Yelp
I am confident that my experience and the condition of this Marriott is not on the scale of acceptable on their performance scale. Broken and battered location in need of a ton of touch-up. Wallpaper torn and tattered, broken and missing elevator buttons, dirty everything (EVERYTHING!) floors, walls, room details, lobby, elevator, and bar area. The location is great just west of the french quarter by a 1-minute walk, with easy parking in a structure at the hotel. That is where it ends on the positive. I had 3 rooms a full price as a Titanium for Life level loyalist and selected a 1 pm check-in. Waited 4.5 hours for the rooms and were told there was nowhere to store our bags to boot. Waited in the lobby and had the pleasure of getting spilled on by drunk patrons, watching the same start an actual fight with the staff by cursing them out. The staff was on frayed nerves and unfortunately took the bait and was all too willing to engage the bad actor. CSR 101 training is needed here for sure because the liability of an employee fighting with a customer is way too high! Makes for an unsafe environment. This location needs legit private security due to the location and price point clientele...Namely rowdy drunks who think they are all that. Not staying here again as this is not emblematic of Marriotts or the Moxies I've seen elsewhere. This was more like a hostel!

Megan S.

Yelp
Nice location and friendly staff. Our room was very clean and comfortable. The room itself was a bit small- but since we were mostly just there to sleep, we didn't mind at all. Solid location and super cute hotel.

Lauren M.

Yelp
My stay overall was fine to have a clean place to sleep. We were there for 5 nights during Mardi Gras. The hotel is an old Quality Inn converted to Marriott's trendy Moxy line of hotels. I live in NYC and the Moxy hotels here are top tier in terms of service and amenities, but this Moxy didn't feel as accommodating. When I checked in, the woman at the desk barely said anything to me. She wasn't friendly or hospitable. She swiped my card and didn't even mention it was for a room deposit. The only thing she mentioned was when the bar closes and when they lock the hotel doors for the night. The room is small, as expected and doesn't really have much more than a bed, shower, sink and toilet. The room is clean and stylish but doesn't offer storage or even a place to sit aside from the bed. That is the Moxy way though. When we walked into the room for the first time, the toilet was clogged and neither of us had used it. I had to flush it a few times and then it didn't give us trouble for the rest of the trip. The sink was clearly clogged and took a long time for water to go down the whole time we were there. After our first night, we didn't get housekeeping service that first day. I asked the front desk if housekeeping was coming everyday and they said yes. When I mentioned it was 3PM and no one had come to our room, they sent up a woman who gave me fresh towels and left. She didn't ask to clean the room, make the bed or anything. There was no explanation for this from the staff however. The rest of the days, housekeeping actually did show up, but sometimes it was well after 2PM, which is a little late than what I am used to in a hotel. The room has an ice bucket, blow dryer, folding chair and a small side table as well. The windows, elevators and hallways look a little dingy and could use some touchups. The lobby is nice and had Mardi Gras decorations and a computer/printer if you need one. They don't have food offerings other than alcoholic drinks at the bar or water/soda/chips available for purchase. I believe prior to COVID, they had actual sandwiches you could purchase. You're supposed to get a free drink upon check in, but I wasn't offered anything and didn't bother to ask. There's a gym that I didn't use but looked good enough. Floors either have an ice machine or an ironing room, neither of which I needed to use either. Our room was in the corner and very quiet. I couldn't hear anything else going on in the other rooms, which was perfect. I appreciated the quiet after being out at parades all day. The elevators squeak and have worn away buttons, but I thankfully didn't experience any elevators out of service during my stay. There's signs all over the hotel that say you are required to wear a mask, but they are just there for show. None of the employees were wearing masks and only about 10% of the guests were wearing a mask in the common areas. I noticed this all over New Orleans however - masks and vaccination status checks were very inconsistent all over the city. Overall, this was a comfortable stay and I felt safe in this location as well. The only thing missing the mark was the staff who was not hospitable at all and some minor improvements the facilities could use overall. I would probably choose to stay at the Virgin Hotel or Ace Hotel nearby next time, just for an overall more upscale experience at a similar cost.

Yelp
Moxy hotels are not plush; you get the bare minimum in terms of space, accommodations food. We expect that, and the trade off is trendy accommodations, quirky decor and a young clientele. Unfortunately this was our first experience with a Moxy where even the service could be described as the bare minimum. What a disappointment . It began with the website inaccurately describing the parking situation (there is a very dingy garage across the street) and slow service at the desk (both at check in and at breakfast). We had a room backing on to the elevators, which groaned all night. The manager was amazingly disinterested in rectifying the situation. We definitely wouldn't stay again as there are plenty of other choices. Too bad, because the hotel and location was not bad.

Yelp
If I could give this place zero stars I would. I made reservations to check in at 11:30 and drove in 13 hours from out of state for them to tell me it would be 5 hours before my room would be ready. I asked to speak to the manager and was ignored. Worst service from a hotel I've ever had.

Yelp
Hotel is clean, quiet, and almost an exact replica of the model photos. I've booked at the Aloft hotel in the past, and this feels very similar. Staff is pleasant and welcoming. The gym does need a bit of an update as the Peleton was not working when I tried to use it, but overall a very pleasant experience.

Yelp
My kids loved this hotel, the decor was cool and trendy, the beds were very comfortable. Shower pressure was great. Loved the fact that there were zero carpets. I think all hotels that allow pets and people (lol) should be that way. I'm always leery about the things that I could be walking on while I'm in a hotel so I always where shoes. The sinks are in the room, which was different. Parking on Okeef and Common was great. It was covered parking for $20 a day with ins and outs. All the hotels in the area charge for parking but this was the cheapest and more secured.

Yelp
Ehh, I came to N.O. for a 2 day stay. I won't say I hated it here but I def didn't LOVE it But for the price I got it i really can't complain. I paid $250 for 2 nights and got $50 off from my Amex offer so it left me at $100 a night. can't beat that and it's location. I probably should have read up on this hotels style a bit more ! The room size was slightly small. came with a queen size bed ! The bathroom shower I loved. Hated that the bathroom didn't have a steam vent. so it's way too hot in there when you shower and I didn't want to shower with the door open bc the room is so small and would make the room too hot and steamy. The sink is not in the bathroom it's in the room. which is fine for me but it kinda leaves you with no privacy if you're with someone ! There is no iron in the room, but there is an Iron room. But a steamer was supplied in the rooms so i jus used that. There is no fridge or microwave but they also have a fridge/microwave room, which is nice. There is a full bar in the lobby. I never got a chance to visit tho, I was on a food mission here lol. There is also a computer in the lobby and printer. This came in ha day bc i had some work to do for my job and didn't bring my laptop. Other than that, the location is Perfect ! they are close to bourbon street & canal street. Also close to Magazine street, where there is lots to do. If you like simple, edgy, affordable, stylish rooms, this is a great pick. IG: Maserati_Holly

Yelp
Great check in experience I forget the gentlemen's name but it was quick and painless experience especially after a long travel. I came back down with my drink voucher(dope as f**k) after getting settled in and met up with kasey in the lobby bar Omg she was amazing!! She referred a great place for grilled oysters and was very attentive while she fixed up some fire old fashions before I left to enjoy those char grilled oysters!!! I was taken care of the whole night even when i returned. If you ever you need to train new hires I say you have Kayse train them! I'll definitely be back for sure!!!

Yelp
I don't like posting negative reviews but there's not much positive to say besides the lobby has a really cool 'vibe'. The staff isn't friendly which sucks given the people in New Orleans absolutely are. The AC in the room doesn't work well at all, it's a small room & takes an ungodly amount of time to cool down & once it does cool down it automatically goes back up to 75. The room has almost zero sunlight given the two 'windows' face the inside of the parking garage; this fact alone made me claustrophobic. I never thought I'd have to ask about windows in hotels but I will from now on. The bed is extremely hard & the covers extremely rough. The bathroom is so small that you can't close the door if you're using the bathroom. There's a spot outside the bathroom where you can sit on a beanbag (to get ready in front of a mirror) but there's no outlets close so you can't plug in your curling iron or straightener anywhere but the bathroom if you need a mirror. This wasn't a room made for two adults, this was a room made for a single person who enjoyed dorm life in college. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone. Also, we're staying in a king suite on the top floor, I can't imagine other, smaller rooms.

Yelp
PERFECT, AWESOME wifi. I stayed here in April 2022, and I should have written a review earlier - better late than never. The lobby is loud, but that is by design. The bar and front desk are one-and-the same, and that is by design. They are trying to create a vibe of a social "party" space in the lobby. The staff was pretty nice, and thankfully, they allowed me to check in a little early. My only complaint about the staff is that when I called to ask about parking, they explained that there is a parking garage next door, but they failed to explain that the parking garage is owned and managed by a third-party; thus, the front desk staff doesn't know how much the parking costs. The hotel overall and my room were extremely clean and modern. The bed was very comfortable. The air conditioner worked extremely well. I had to do a Zoom call from my room, and the wifi was incredible. It was by far the best hotel wifi I've ever used. Besides the parking confusion, my only other complaint is that the shower has no ledges where you can put your own bath products. I would definitely stay here again.

Yelp
Moxy had the cool factor going and the staff were friendly and informative. Location was ideal as it was away from the revelry on Bourbon yet close enough to walk to French Quarter. This is a no frills hotel. No cups even plastic in rooms, no drawers or shelves for clothes. We asked for a blanket and pillows and never got it. Water pressure was inconsistent and layout of bathroom required some fancy middle of the night footwork. The fitness center had decent equipment and was open 24 hours.

Yelp
Marriott family hotel, this is one of their new additions. Every single person working at this hotel was a delight, very informative on restaurants and things to do. This to me is a very European type hotel. No closet, storage, dressers, microwave or refrigerator. Small rooms, very basic. This is a great location if you love to walk, you don't need a car but put on your sneakers. I'll say many good things about the staff, comfortable beds but it's really not my type of hotel.

Yelp
Service is really bad. Staff at check in is.l nice, in the sense of just nice people, but just do not understand the hotel business at all. Check in, even though I checked in on the app still took over ten minutes at the desk/bar . I asked about places to eat and they Could not recommend any where to eat in the area either and when I asked about parking they told me some one get my car (I came down an hour later and my car was still on the curb). Not only was my car there I walked over to the desk and the guy behind the desk was talking on his cell phone and instead of getting off the phone just took the phone away from his phone ear to ask how he could help me. Well at least he was nice.. (never be on your cell where guests can see you) Came down the next morning to get coffee in the lobby and the women behind the desk just stared at me then opened her cash draw to count cash, I was thinking you are in the hotel business how about a good morning or anything acknowledgement. I finally walked over since mrs. rude was the only be there and she looked up at me and said "Do You need something?" I could see she was about to count the pennies so I smiled and said. Can wait until you are done and she said "what do you need." , so far smiled and Ashe was clearly pissed off she was working and I was standing there so I said I would like and espresso she just blurted out the machine is not working, so said oh do you have coffee she said no! I said you no where I can get coffee she said go down the street. She was so gosh dam rude I am not sure how they hire here but they all need training in basic hospitality.. Awful on every level!!! My room was clean. The AC is beyond loud!. Just makes this super loud buzzing noise. The ac filter is right next to the tv and clearly has not been changed in months(see photo).. I think the staff I checked in with could be trained and with good leadership could be beyond fantastic but the women in the miring should be working at a non customer facing job as she was just very rude and down right mean ever her aura just glowed F off and stay away.. Seeing this city survives on tourism I would recommend Marriott (they own moxy) figure something out with this hotel or sell it..

Yelp
This is a hidden bar gem in NOLA. Amazing service, chic and modern interior and just a relaxing space. The rooms are indeed small but they are all you need for a clean and safe place to stay in downtown. Highly recommend this great property. It is a great place to even go just for a drink at the bar and you can bring outside food in (they don't really have a menu other then flatbreads and pantry snacks) Moxy for the win

Yelp
I stayed in the hotel for two days. The hotel staff was very friendly which is the main reason for the 2 star review. The hotel... what's the best way to put this... Imagine you're a disgruntled 13yr old girl irritated with her parents and you were asked to design a hotel... this is pretty much what you would get. The accommodations are tiny and exceptionally underwhelming. It is a box room with a bathroom. Zero storage and extremely limited comforts. For example. There is no iron or ironing board in the room. You have to iron your clothes in a communal space... with pictures of shirtless tattooed men ironing... a little odd.... At night in your room lights off and curtains drawn there is still so much light coming in that you cast a shadow. All in all this hotel is extremely odd. If your interested on staying in a place that's very limited with creature comforts this is the place for you.

Yelp
Avid traveler This is one of the worst! If you are traveling spend the extra dollars and stay somewhere else

Yelp
One of the most unique and fun hotels around! This is a Marriott property but don't expect to get your usual Marriott Elite preferences if you stay here. It's definitely not a full-service hotel and the rooms are lacking some of the usual suspects. They don't put irons, microwaves, and fridges in the rooms. Heck they designed the rooms without closets. So I would say if you are really particular about having those items in your room then the Moxy may not be the best choice for you. The Moxy is a quirky hotel. Lots of games in the lobby to keep you entertained. They have community areas in the lobby for food and fun. You check-in at the bar which is quite different from the norm. I will say the rooms with a king bed are about half the size of a room with double beds. Not sure why this is but that is the one thing I disliked about the hotel. The Moxy is a cool addition to the extensive Marriott portfolio.

Yelp
This hotel is in a great, quiet location. Just a short walk to Bourbon st and all the hustle and bustle. I enjoyed being close yet far enough away enjoy a peaceful nights rest..u will need if after some fun on Bourbon. LOL The lobby was lots of fun. We enjoyed giant Jenga and some drinks before heading out at night. The bartenders were all so nice and recommended some great local spots to get a bite to eat. This was our 1st trip to NOLA and we will def be staying at The Moxy when we return soon.

Yelp
Another city another Moxy I am hooked on these hotels. Here you check in at the bar and get a drink - awesome concept. This is a lively hotel but much is centered around the lobby bar area. The hotel has plenty of places to use your laptop in the lobby. The rooms are very basic. I did not take issue with the size but other than a semi-comfy chair there is not much else in the room.

Jessica N.

Yelp
Cute spot, not as close as I was hoping. We had early check in, however the room was not ready and the staff didn't seem to care so much. Luckily it didn't take long for our suite to be ready. You check in at the bar, which is cool yet different. The ambiance was chic which was great for fun photos. Also, very clean and refreshing scents throughout the hotel. The complimentary toiletries are not minis, they are large and secured down which is becoming more common. The only issue is that they did not have lotion, of course the one time I don't pack any. Most of the staff was very nice however there was a handful who appeared to hate their job and helping the guest.

Yelp
Terrible service and dirty hotel. Really can't believe this is a Marriott property. I was told to wait for someone to get our bags while that someone practiced origami instead of getting our bags. There are so many issues here I really don't know where to start or end. So many other options closer to the quarter; it's not worth the anguish.

Yelp
Unfriendly staff and our room stayed at 75 all night and uncomfortably warm. If it wasn't for being exhausted from the trip we would have left at 3 a.m. It's 6 a.m. and 76 degrees. Not what I expected for a Moxy hotel.

Yelp
This place is horrible. Honestly felt more like a hostel than a 400/night hotel. The front desk is part of the bar. The clerk was lazy and not engaged. He asked for my credit card and ID. I set them on the counter and he just stared at them till I handed them to him. He might have said a total of 10 words to us. The elevators are old and never been upgraded. The buttons are completely worn. The hall ways are dingy and looked like a trap house hall way. The rooms are simple and unimpressive with stains on the suitcase stands and the comforters.
