Room and service: The room is modern and beautiful, but that's about it. No amenities inside the room. In the shower there where 2 bittles of shampoo and 1 conditioner. No shower gel. There is only one seat in the room that is awfully uncomfortable. There are no "do not disturb" signs in the room, you need to ask the reception or watch as the staff try to come in even after they cleaned the room once. I was in the room when one of them opened it. She couldn't speak English, so I don't know what she needed. The bed had already been made in the morning when I was gone, so there was no reason for a new visit. Also, there is no kettle in the room. You have to pay to drink the tea in the lobby. There are no waters either. They give you one token per perskn for free drink: tea or water. So they charge for the most basic thing. Location: The hotel is in the middle of nowhere. The nearest place is open for the university and the companies around and only are open during work hours. The only option at night is a Subway, 10 minutes walk away. Coming out of the hotel, there is a 2 minute walk by the road which is dangerous as there are no pavements or crossings. Breakfast: it was horrible. Few varieties and nothing delicious. As there are no other options near by, you kind of have to eat it. The scrambled egg looked disgusting and the coffe was horrible! There are two coffee machines and both are bad. It's an irony, considering that you are in France. Food: no room service of course. There are no phones in the rooms either. But the food itself for dinner was fine. Though most of the times there are items that are crossed out. So very limited options. Their salad was great though. Lobby: as most guests are working people on a business trip, the lobby is actually designed to work which is nice. Hotel amenities: there is a tiny gym and a pool. They are good.

Great hotel!! We found the room very comfortable... Quite large/roomy , clean, quiet, and modern style. The hotel is in a quiet location, away from the late night loud crowds. The hotel is also a close drive to major attractions in Antibes. Pool looked absolutely inviting but unfortunately, time wasn't on our side & we never went in. Check in was smooth. No complaints whatsoever! We can't relate to or understand the bad reviews on here. Strange! Although that is not the majority since the hotel has 4.3 stars. Our room was perfect & we'd definitely stay again here.

Clean rooms, but that’s where the positives end. The offered food was disappointing, and the way the hotel handled payments was absolutely unacceptable. They charged my card even though the stay was already paid for, promised a refund that never came, and I only got my money back because the payment authorization expired automatically — not because they fixed their mistake. Completely unprofessional and careless handling of guests’ money.

If you have another option, don’t stay here. Choose the other option. I trusted the good reviews for this hotel because there were more good reviews than bad. I found out that the bad reviews were not only the most accurate, but generous. My stay was horrible. There were a couple of gems among the hotel staff but management is no good. Since my stay was so horrific, management offered to comp one day for each of the two rooms I had and an additional $10 discount per day of my stay for each room. Then, I can only assume they decided that I look like a person who cannot count. Because they did not keep their word. The two stars are for the couple of staff members who made an otherwise disgusting hotel stay bearable. The images are of the cob webs and dust on the walls next to the bed, and the dirty rug. If I could send a picture that depicted the most pungent smell of raw sewage I would. It took management 3 days to get the smell out of the two rooms (a smell they were aware of before they put us into our rooms). We left and went to stay at another hotel for 3 days at my own expense, to give them time to solve the issues and try to enjoy our holiday. When I came back, my bed looked slept in, there were two fresh hand towels in the bathroom but the two fresh bath towels were missing, and my back door was unlocked, I guess for easy access for the sleepy worker(s). Just save yourself the aggravation.

Everything is clean and modern. Vibe is cool and the staff has that famous French attitude. The location is out in the sticks. Can’t walk to any restaurants or shopping so the only reason anyone would stay here is to save a buck or add rewards point. The service is adequate, but the hotel is like lipstick on a pig. The rooms are tight for any parties over 2. No chairs to sit, no table or counter space to speak of and the bathroom is about 3’x3’. I’ve been in airplane restrooms that are bigger. The breakfast is horrible. Better off with vending machines. No cream, milk or butter. Like the cows are boycotting this place. Eggs looked like oatmeal. “Bacon” was in a bowl of grease and was way under cooked. As, what seems to be the norm with Marriott properties, no body wash in the shower. The Day Manager seemed frustrated at his staff when I told him this, after he had to find sugar for me. Maybe it’s a new staff? That would explain allot. Bottom line, I would not recommend staying here.

I'll start with the positive: The hotel is new, the rooms are new and in good condition and it has free parking. In addition, the hotel employees are very kind and friendly. Other than that, everything else is a disaster. -Breakfast: Breakfast in the morning is chaotic. There are so many people and so little space available to eat that there's nowhere to sit down. You often end up eating breakfast at the beanbag chairs in the coworking area. In the morning, it's a jungle; it's an odyssey to find plates and cutlery. The breakfast is quite basic: pre-baked croissants, eggs, ham and cheese, yogurt, cereal, and pancakes, plus coffee and some supermarket juices. -Lunch/Dinner: If you want to have lunch or dinner, I don't recommend it. All the food is pre-baked, including pizzas, mozzarella sticks, and terrible pasta, with butter and cheese. -Check-in: Check-in is at 3:00 PM. We arrived at 1:30 PM that day and we knew the room wouldn't be ready at that time, so we ate and waited. The incredible thing is that the front desk knew we were waiting for a room, yet they didn't have any rooms available at 3:00 PM. They said they had a lot of guests and were still cleaning the rooms. -Cleaning: We stayed for 4 days, and two of those days, the room wasn't cleaned (I didn't leave any signs telling them not to clean). When we arrived in the afternoon, we realized they simply hadn't cleaned the room. -Pool: When you enter the pool area in the afternoon, you'll find coffee cups on the floor, glasses with juice leftovers, and plates. Everything is dirty, and no one cleans or puts it away. It's a shame because the hotel isn't cheap, and it's far from everything. Despite being new and having nice rooms, there's a real lack of management, and it shows after spending a day there.

Stayed for a work conference and boy was this disappointing. Firstly the breakfast is awful. In France the food is of such good quality even in the supermarket so I don't understand how it's so bad in the hotel! The bread selection is minimal, half of the times was finished. No variety whatsoever, ham was bad and cheese just generic. No yogurts, rubbery croissant. The rooms are very small and our air conditioning didn't go below 22 degrees. Bed was rock hard and pillows a disaster. I am in no shape or form someone who cares about luxury, but I just wanted to rest after a busy day at work. Nope, not at the moxxy. The pool was a hot soup, it was cooler outside in the sun than inside the pool! Never again, thank you.

Disappointing Stay – Moxy Sophie Antipolis Has Lost Its Charm This was our third and final stay at Moxy Sophie Antipolis and unfortunately, it was by far the worst. When we first visited shortly after it opened, we were impressed. It had the signature Moxy vibe: young, fresh, energetic, and stylish. Our second visit already raised some red flags, with the pool overrun by loud families and unsupervised children, but we gave it another chance. We really shouldn’t have. This time, things went downhill quickly. The cool, young, modern vibe that Moxy is known for is completely gone. It’s now overrun with screaming kids, rude behavior, and what feels more like a chaotic family resort than a hip, boutique hotel. If you’re hoping for a chill getaway or any kind of atmosphere, don’t. What saved our stay (barely) was the fact that we had one of the apartments with a veranda. Without that extra space and separation from the chaos, it would have been unbearable. To make matters worse, housekeeping was a disaster. Basic amenities were repeatedly overlooked: • No shampoo or conditioner (we asked 4 times, and they were never replaced) • No bath towels in the room, we had to ask three times before getting them We left feeling incredibly disappointed and frustrated. Moxy used to stand for something; a cool, youthful energy and well-designed simplicity. That identity has completely disappeared at this location. Sadly, we won’t be returning and I can no longer recommend Moxy Sophie Antipolis to anyone looking for a relaxed, modern hotel experience.
