Moxy St. Petersburg Downtown

This hotel is extremely cute and fun. Their decor is vibrant and it's in a fantastic location to be able to check out downtown. This hotel is definitely a party hotel. If your trip is going to include late nights, checking out downtown St. Pete, and more of a party scene then this is the hotel for you. If you are planning on getting an early nights sleep or a quiet family vacation then this probably isn't the right hotel for you. The bass from the hotel sound system came through our room until very late and did make it hard to sleep before the rest of St. Pete was finished partying for the night so take that into consideration if you are a light sleeper. The rooms aren't giant but they are laid out with very smart furniture that maximize the space. We had plenty of cubbies to stow our luggage to get it out of our way and hangers for all of our towels and clothes. They also offered a lot of very unique amenities like sunscreen and after sun gel at the rooftop pool and a tote bag in your room to use during your stay. Their "stash" closet by the elevators was also very convenient. It was nice to be able to grab and extra towel or toothbrush without having to call housekeeping and waiting until they could bring one up. Overall I think that this hotel is definitely worth a visit if your itinerary aligns with the vibes of this space.

Shouts to AJ who was so awesome during our check-in and made us aware of the awesome amenities. The front desk staff were amazing—always greeted us when they saw us and had great energy. Love the location and that all that we came to explore was just a walk away. The room was okay but wasn’t not cleaned thoroughly: Urine stains on the toilet seat and hard-to-miss hair strands in the showers, on the bed, and the floors were disappointing. Luckily, we always come prepared to sanitize our rooms thoroughly.

If you’re in St. Pete Moxy is the place to stay. Tiffany and Diego were so Hospitable. As someone who works in hospitality I appreciate the the kind, but loving gestures. I arrived early and she made me feel right at home while I waited for my room. If you appreciate more than just a pretty face at the bar—look for Eric aka DUKE at The Moxy. His warm presence, quick wit, and genuine care for guests make every visit a standout.

Our stay was wonderful. The staff was amazing—so accommodating and thoughtful. They took great care of us and made a birthday celebration feel incredibly special and personal. The location is easily walkable to the Pier and surrounded by a fantastic selection of restaurants, from laid-back spots to fine dining. The neighborhood felt vibrant yet relaxed. Everyone was genuinely friendly and eager to help. Charlie and Eldon, in particular, went above and beyond. Their excellent service and attention to detail really elevated our experience

Amazing! Staff was so great, Brad, McKenzie, and Gabby made my stay absolutely perfect. Location is great rooms modern and clean. Only downsides was the parking situation. Only option was valet with a daily fee, pay lot, or street parking. And no complimentary breakfast. Pool is amazing also! Can’t wait to come back.

What this hotel gets right. Excellent location in vibrant downtown St. Pete. Rooftop pool and bar provide fine views when not too crowded. The "great room" on the ground floor with bar and varied seating options is a fine space for working and socializing, except some of the chairs are too low for the workstation table. Quite vibrant at times, but that is mostly more a plus than a minus.||What this hotel doesn't get right. The room doesn't seem designed for anyone staying more than one night. No closet. No towel rack. Teeny laundry bag. Insufficient drawers. Tiny, useless desk. The decent bed, bath, plugs and Wifi don't outweigh the flaws for any but the shortest stays.||Staff responsiveness is spotty. Superb at front desk and parking. Housekeeping never picked up my trash despite several calls on the day service was scheduled.| |Style over functionality. The opposite of the old Courtyard slogan; this is "the room that doesn't work.

Stayed at the Moxy St. Pete for a quick weekend getaway and it totally exceeded expectations. The vibe is super modern and playful . Think neon lights, great music, and a lobby that doubles as a bar/lounge. It feels more like a cool hangout spot than a traditional hotel. Rooms are compact but cleverly designed and very clean. The bed was comfortable, and I loved the industrial-chic decor. Definitely geared toward a younger crowd or anyone who appreciates a stylish, laid-back atmosphere. The staff were friendly and helpful, and check-in was a breeze (with a welcome drink, nice touch!). Location is perfect too — right in the heart of downtown with tons of restaurants, bars, and art spots within walking distance.

Perfect. If I had to give a one word review this is what it would be. Had a last minute company event come up, and decided this location would be ideal. Words cannot express how great this location and the staff is. Went in last minute to try and book the rooftop patio for Sparrow. Met with Andreas the Food & Beverage director, he was so helpful and assured me that everything would go off without a hitch. He was so involved every step of the way and took all my worries away! This was a company event I was hosting with less than a weeks notice. He made sure that we were taken care of and made everything easy. Arthur and the rest of the team upstairs at sparrow created some fabulous cocktails for our company event and they were a hit. The food, people were raving about it, the sushi boats were gorgeous, and don’t get me started on the Brussels. The hotel GM Eldon event came out to chat with our group and made us feel more than welcome. He was incredible and made us feel like we were in his backyard at home! I was worried that we had an outdoor event in May in Florida. The breeze upstairs on the covered patio, was so nice, perfect setting. Cannot recommend this place enough, great food, amazing staff, perfect location. Can’t wait for my next event here!

Last night, we ended up at the new Moxy hotel bar in St Pete after two failed attempts at other spots. We were pleasantly surprised they had a football special menu with a pretty standard burger on it. TOUCHDOWN BURGER GRASS FED BEEF BURGER - 12 Ft. McCoy Ranch Beef, Burger Sauce, LTO, House Made Brioche Bun, Cheddar Cheese, Bacon Their regular burger was $23, so this was a great deal. The burger was really well made. It was ordered medium rare and came out a perfect temperature. It was seasoned well, nicely sauced, and had a soft yet toasted fresh bun. We didn't expect much, but we were very happy with our selection. The bartender was also awesome. We will definitely be back. Solid spot.

I recently stayed at the Moxy St. Petersburg and was extremely disappointed. As a Marriott Bonvoy Titanium Elite member, I expected a much higher standard of service and amenities. Unfortunately, this property did not deliver. First, it's unsanitary and unappealing to leave water decanters in the bathroom for guest use. This is a basic hospitality oversight that should be addressed immediately. Second, there was no late check-out option offered, even for those at the highest tier of the Marriott Bonvoy program. This lack of flexibility is frustrating and uncharacteristic of Marriott properties. Additionally, the bar menu failed to list ingredients, which is unacceptable for guests with allergies or dietary restrictions. It's a basic expectation to be able to make safe, informed choices about food and beverages. Overall, the experience was extremely disappointing. The lack of attention to detail, combined with the poor guest experience, has solidified my decision never to stay at this property again. I cannot recommend the Moxy St. Petersburg to anyone seeking a comfortable or accommodating stay.

Comfort - The Mattress and pillows are high quality, no noise issues and a modern shower and television. 4/5 Service - The service was average, there was no explanation of the amenities at check in. Front desk agent, did the bear minimum at check in. 3/5 Gym- For a hotel gym it had the basics, but a good dumbbell selection. 3.5/5 stars Location - located blocks from Tropicana field, there are plenty of restaurants and bars in walking distance. 4.5/5 Unique to Moxy - There is a stash closet which has towels and toiletries on every floor, I love this feature. Rooms are small, but cleverly designed. 3.5/5

The Moxy hotel in St. Pete is an adorable choice for a staycation! While parking is limited, valet service is available, and I found a nearby lot at a fair price. The hotel boasts a chic design, with stylish lounge areas and a vibrant bar featuring fantastic service. The rooms are incredibly comfortable, and the decor is delightful, especially the bathrooms. Don't miss out on the food at the bar--the lobster roll is surprisingly delicious, with generous portion sizes. Plus, the location is perfect, just steps from numerous bars and restaurants and directly across from the baseball stadium. A great spot to unwind!

Solid spot to grab food and drinks. Very cute aesthetic, friendly service and nice ambiance. Lots of TVs and good volume on the music. Really great game day deals too! Definitely recommend and I'm sure we'll be back at some point

Grabbed my laptop and went down to the bar/lounge area to grab some dinner, drink and get some work done. I set at a table with power outlets on the far side of the lounge. I was quickly greeted and provided a menu. I wasn't overly hungry but needed something to get me through the night and ordered a caesar salad and a dirty martini. The drink came out quickly and the food came out in this great salad bowl. It was nicely covered in parmesan cheese and a good amount of dressing. Way better than I expected. Here is the kicker, there was an event going on with about 25 people in the lounge. One bartender and one waitress with the name of Heather. I can honestly say, i never waiting for anything. From the multiple drinks, water, then switched to a soft drink, yet never waited. She was always asking if needed anything and the fact that she was running all over the lounge taking care of the group, yet never forgot I was here. Very impressive!

I've always enjoyed staying at the Moxy in South Beach so I was excited one was coming to St. Pete. I didn't stay here (because I am local), but I had a drink at the bar. The bar staff was nice and attentive and the drinks were good. The rooftop bar isn't open yet, but the downstairs bar is cool and overlooks the street.

Slightly disappointed with this hotel. The room was VERY small. We were upgraded to a suite and even then, it was hard to move around in. Great location! Some of the staff were friendly but we ran across a few members that were very rude. The pool area is nice but once again, very tiny.

Wife and I came here for the second time today. We are locals. Seems like a great spot and look forward to trying the rooftop restuarant. I will say, whoever the long haired, female bartender was today mid-day was extremely off putting. Male bartender tried to give her a menu to come serve us and she made a dramatic face and refused to come serve us so she could continue talking to the two finance bros at the end of the bar she felt compelled to converse with instead of her job. NOT A GOOD LOOK for a relatively new place. Male bartender was excellent.

Everything !!! Walked in the door greeted with such a friendly, welcome, beautiful lobby. You don't have to go anywhere for food and drinks if you want to stay in. Great to see fun games to play. Well stocked bar with amazing bartenders we had Katie. The hotel room was spacious. The shower was amazing. Everything was clean! The next day after I spent at the rooftop pool not only was the view amazing, the whole pool area is something out of a magazine and just absolutely gorgeous. The bartender Kristen was so nice and the drinks were so good ! We will definitely be coming back!!!!

The only good thing about this hotel is the look of it and the staff is kind. First night the a/c and TV did not work, and there was hair all throughout the sheets. Swapped rooms and the a/c still was not working and had to be fixed again, hair still in the sheets. Was charged twice for incidentals and didn't say anything until I brought it up to them. Requested for house cleaning to come two days in a row and they never came in. All on top of the only reasonable parking option being valet which is 35+ per night. Again the staff was very kind but when I mentioned at checkout that it was not a great experience they did not ask why or if there was anything that could be done to fix it.

This hotel is not prepared to be open. Here during Milton. But the lack of preparedness from a Marriott property is shocking. One back up generator for the property. No power in rooms.one elevator is working. This hotel hasn't even had their opening yet. Nice staff,good food (not available due to power outage).

They call this place dog friendly. NOTHING is further from the truth. The only thing dog friendly here is the $50.00 a night they'll charge for the pooch. There's no doggie relief area, no comfort stations with pickup bags .... NOT EVEN A TRASH BARREL near the front door. You'll be told by the door wench to cross a busy street to dump your pick up bag. DON"T choose the tiny wastebasket next to the valet podium unless you want a "load" of crap from the door wench. The management here is unconcerned about the lack of sanitary options for your pooch as the palm tree area is littered with pick up bags. There's no refrigerators or micros in the rooms, so if you're feeding Fresh Pet or something that needs to be refrigerated, you'll have to schlep down to the front desk, and someone will retrieve an ice bucket for you because there are NO ice machines on the floors. If you need to heat the food, try the hair dryer because there's no other heat option in the room. Rooms are tiny compared to almost anyplace in St Petersburg. The only thing good about this place is the location if you're going to a Rays game. I'd suggest, that if you MUST stay in the Edge District, choose The Mint House, just across the street. They have HUGE rooms with amenities for the pooch at comparable pricing. Also, don't drink in the overpriced bar area. Simply go down a half block to Enigma and get two - for - one cocktails all day from 2 PM to 9 PM! For food, Hawkers (right across the street) or Baum Av market have excellent menus at good prices OR catch the game next door at Ferg's. Outdoor seating for the pooch AND a festive atmosphere at Ferg's make it a fun stop. Cheap beer and great burgers! There are better picks for your stay in St Petersburg than this place, and at better pricing.

A new modern hotel with a great vibe. We stayed for a few days and enjoyed everything. Location is great and lots of places to eat. Charlie made us feel welcome and always cheerful.

Amazing, modern hotel in a great location. Stayed over the weekend. Super clean and friendly staff. The drinks at the bar were well made and the 2 sushi rolls were tasty. Special thanks to the manager Bryan, staff members Kristen, and Monica for their exceptional service. I will definitely visit again.

Just spent 5 nights at the Moxie in St. Pete's Florida. Stayed in a room with two queen beds the rooms were so small no closet no dresser just some draws under the bed. Could not spend any time in the room unless you were in bed. No coffee maker or fridge no room service not that there would have been any space to eat. Five days and never saw anyone from house keeping. They ran out of towels in the closet out in the hall and at one point I actually had to go to the front desk for a roll of toilet paper. Two of the three elevators were out of order most of the time. The pool area was nice but small and very crowded. Took forever to get food and drinks. The only nice thing I can say is that the staff at the lobby bar were very nice and efficient. Over all it was very disappointing.
