As I walked to the hotel from the train station, I did not know what to expect, to be honest. To me, the neighbourhood looked a tad quirky, almost seedy. However, when I entered the mixed-use complex, I was pleasantly surprised. ||The hotel is one of the many tenants in this sprawling redevelopment which was once a vodka factory. If you enter the hotel from the back, you walk a flight of steps down to the lobby area, but enter from the front of the building and it takes you right in. The check-in process was fast and efficient, and I felt welcomed right away. ||The room I was assigned to was spacious and had all the amenities a guest needs. The bed was very comfortable and the water pressure for taking showers just right. Although my room rate did not include breakfast, I decided I needed to one morning when the weather was wet and heading out for breakfast was impossible. The food selection was worth the price paid. ||I loved that a mobile key was available in the app, so carrying a keycard was not necessary. There is a bus-stop just outside the hotel and the closest tram stops are a 10-minute walk away. ||Do not be fooled by the surroundings around the hotel. Give it a chance, because I had a wonderful stay.
