Is it worth the wait? For me—absolutely. I waited about 20 minutes around 12:30pm, which is peak lunch time, and most people were ordering takeout. There are only a few seats along the perimeter of the restaurant, so it’s definitely more of a quick-service, grab-and-go Mediterranean spot, similar in style to a Portuguese chicken operation but with a smaller, more focused menu where everything is done really well.
I ordered the quarter chicken plate, and the portion was incredibly generous for the price. You can choose rice or fries—I went with rice, but the person beside me had fries and they looked amazing: big, home-cut, crispy fries. My plate also came with a hearty scoop of labneh, pickled onions, a charred pepper, and a warm piece of pita. You also get to choose a sauce, and the cilantro lime was perfect.
The chicken was beautifully charred yet still moist, the rice had that comforting Middle Eastern flavour, and the labneh was thick, creamy, and delicious. Next time I’m planning to drive over and pick up a half or whole chicken to bring home because it’s the perfect comfort meal.
The prices are very reasonable for the quality and portion size, and I really hope they continue to do well. I’ll definitely be back soon!
