An old building perched above the hill-town, furnished like a home, not a gust-house. Rather dark and old-fashioned furniture and fittings, but great character. Nena, the hostess, is a treasure! she could not be more attentive to guests' needs, ranging from meeting your car down in the village to guide you to the right turning up the hill, to making a cup of herb tea on arrival, to providing advice on the local sights and walks and providing maps, and inviting guests to try the white and rose wine in the fridge.||Breakfast is served by by Nena and uses home-made ingredients: delicious bread; an egg dish; a fresh cake; and three jams/honeys.||Nena went above and beyond the call of duty in our case when we foolishly left a bag of shoes in the guest-house when we left. Rather than drive 2.5 hours each way to collect them we would have abandoned them, but Nina was able to find a local taxi-driver who could drop them at Kalamata airport for us to collect later in the day, much closer to where we were now staying.||Thanks, Nena, for a really lovely and welcoming stay
