We spent two nights here as part of our all too short tour of the Peloponnese. Nina is the ultimate hostess from meeting us in the village to guide us to the property, providing detailed guidance on where to go and what to see to providing excellent breakfasts in a sociable environment. Comfortable clean room with a lovely terrace. Can’t fault anything!

My mother, daughter, and I had a wonderful time in this beautiful guest house. Nena is an amazing host overflowing with warmth, knowledge of the area, and hospitality. The guesthouse has been in her family for generations, and the simple rooms exude warmth. We enjoyed the delicious breakfasts each morning, the spectacular views, and the wonderful advice from Nena on hikes to take, monasteries to visit, and other activities in the area (and for the rest of our trip to Greece.). Highly recommend.

Our rooms in the sky. What makes a place memorable is not "the stuff" of a place, it's the people. And Nena is a star! Her guesthouse was the perfect start to our 2 week Greece vacation as a family of 5 adults. Right down to the special picnic lunches to take in the car as we left.

We had a few perfect nights in this fantastic B&B! The owner, Nena, was such a nice person, she made us feel very welcome. The house is magical, dating back from 1650. We had a fire place in our bedroom, which had a wonderfull view at the Stemnitsa . Nena cooked us marvelous breakfast. We highly recommend this place

What an amazing place to stay, with an even more amazing host. The breakfasts, with all of the home made goods are worth it alone. Nena happens to be a fabulous tour guide for the surrounding area as well. Not to mention how beautiful the rooms and the views are. We can’t wait to go back!

One couldn’t ask for more. Mpelleiko has charm out the wazoo and amazing views. The decor is warm and eclectic; our room was very comfortable. Breakfast was creative and delicious. But the hospitality shone above everything else. Nena is the consummate host: providing warmth, charm, and unsurpassed local knowledge, making our stay here something we’ll always remember.

Staying at Nena’s guesthouse was more than anyone could ask for - beautiful, homely, and tasteful. The breakfast was delicious - homemade bread, omelette and some tasty treats. Thank you for having us. We will absolutely be back.

Mpelleiko is a gorgeous traditional home overlooking the picturesque mountain village of Stemnitsa. The grounds have beautiful terraced gardens and the house has historical decor and modern amenities. You stay here, however, to interact with Nena, the owner and hostess of this oikos. Nena's family has owned Mpelleiko for generations, and she has written the histories of both the home and the town of Stemnitsa. Nena will make sure you arrive to the home in one piece, then once you're there, make you feel like family. Immediately upon arrival, she met us in the town square and guided us to Mpelleiko, where she offered us a drink and answered all of our questions about the town. The next morning, Nena made us a lovely breakfast (coffee, pastries from her family bakery, homemade breads, her mother's sour cherry jam, frittata, and more). Being a geographer at heart, Nena took out her maps and devised a route for us to take that day, which couldn't have been more perfect for our travel tastes. We can't wait to return to spend more time at Mpelleiko.
