I enjoyed so much about the stay at Mpelleiko. The hostess Nena is very welcoming and makes you feel comfortable in her grandmothers home with lots of information that I really appreciated. The room had great views of Stemnitsa and the mountains and was very comfortable with wonderful wood furniture. It felt special to stay there, meet Nena and become one of what felt like family.

The host Nena feels like an aunt that cares about your comfort. The house is very nice and clean. Very convivial. Good hiking advice. Perfect for solo travellers. The house is located on the hillside, with a short walk to the village center. The homemade breakfasts (included) were all homemade and nice.

Beautiful traditional house with plant filled courtyards and seating outside the rooms. The host is truly welcoming and provided us with breakfasts second to none. The room was spotlessly clean, the bed was comfortable and there was plenty of hot water. The hotel is in a commanding position within the town giving stunning views of the houses tumbling down to the centre and the mountains beyond. I have no hesitation in recommending this delightful hotel

An old building perched above the hill-town, furnished like a home, not a gust-house. Rather dark and old-fashioned furniture and fittings, but great character. Nena, the hostess, is a treasure! she could not be more attentive to guests' needs, ranging from meeting your car down in the village to guide you to the right turning up the hill, to making a cup of herb tea on arrival, to providing advice on the local sights and walks and providing maps, and inviting guests to try the white and rose wine in the fridge.||Breakfast is served by by Nena and uses home-made ingredients: delicious bread; an egg dish; a fresh cake; and three jams/honeys.||Nena went above and beyond the call of duty in our case when we foolishly left a bag of shoes in the guest-house when we left. Rather than drive 2.5 hours each way to collect them we would have abandoned them, but Nina was able to find a local taxi-driver who could drop them at Kalamata airport for us to collect later in the day, much closer to where we were now staying.||Thanks, Nena, for a really lovely and welcoming stay

Fantastic place to stay. Nene is a wonderful host who prepares a lovely breakfast. The rooms are a good size and there are lots of amenities (kitchen area, games, sorting area, etc). Google maps had a bit of a fit getting us there - but it’s got parking outside and is a 10 min walk from the town centre. There is a beautiful garden - and the ubiquitous Greek cats! As it’s an old house on a hillside - if you struggle with stairs this might not be the best place for you.

Mpelleiko is the place to be if you like traditional rooms and warm welcomes! Nena (and team) serves the tastiest breakfast, bakes super bread! A great place to be!

We spent two nights here as part of our all too short tour of the Peloponnese. Nina is the ultimate hostess from meeting us in the village to guide us to the property, providing detailed guidance on where to go and what to see to providing excellent breakfasts in a sociable environment. Comfortable clean room with a lovely terrace. Can’t fault anything!

The most wonderful warm accomodation and host. I can't recomend Nena and her accomodation highly enough. The breakfasts are amazing, the hiking tips, the rooms. Highly recommend
