Wonderful staff, very cooperative and always ready to help. The property is beautiful and well maintained. The restaurant food is extremely good, and the staff there deserves special appreciation for their service. The only drawback is the bedroom comfort – the mattresses are quite old and not at all suitable for a comfortable sleep. Similarly, the air conditioners also feel outdated and need an upgrade. Other than that, this property is truly one of the best for a relaxing stay.

This was my second stay in the same hotel. Rooms are spacious no doubt and staff is very friendly and accommodating. Food is bit spicy for my taste buds but overall quality and product is clean and you eat what you see. They could up a little variety though every day breakfast had pretty much the same options. Front desk was very courteous and helpers around are always there to support with whatever one needs. Cleanliness is something that could be improved. There were room service dishes left outside by the patrons that were not picked up by the cleaning staff for extended period of time leaving a dirty impression on the other patrons. Overall this place run by MPT is value for money

a good property which is also the best restaurant as has good food offerings. Property is under MP tourism so rates are normally good. Hospitality is nice as staff is well behaved. You will get a communication rickshaw almost all the time so that is an added benifit.

My recent stay at this hotel was underwhelming and left quite a bit to be desired. While the rooms were clean and spacious, which is the bare minimum one would expect, that’s about where the positives end. The overall experience felt more mediocre than memorable.||The biggest disappointment was the food. Despite being advertised as a key feature, the meals were bland, lacking variety, and far from what you’d expect at this price point. Room service was slow, and the dining area didn’t feel welcoming or properly maintained. For anyone who values a good meal during their stay, this hotel falls short in a big way.||Service throughout my stay was passable at best. Staff were polite but seemed disinterested and inattentive, which made the atmosphere feel cold and impersonal. Basic requests took longer than necessary, which added to the overall frustration.||While the room itself provided a decent place to sleep, that alone isn’t enough to warrant a return visit. With so many other options available, it’s hard to justify staying here again unless management addresses the poor dining experience and improves overall service quality.

Room has kettle, tea-coffee and toiletries given. Restaurant food and breakfast buffet is decent. ||The bathrooms seem to have become a bit old - there are holes in the floor at the door corners, the bath fittings are confusing especially for senior citizens, the locks are too tight, floor is slippery and so on.||There is no lift, one has to climb stairs to reach rooms on upper floors. Restaurant is on ground floor, so it was a bit tough on my parents. ||Hotel staff is friendly and Amit from front desk was helpful in arranging taxi with a competent driver who gave us a wonderful tour of the temples around Ujjain and Nalkheda. We are extremely grateful of this.

Centrally located in the busy area of Ujjain, the Shipra Residency is surprisingly well maintained for a Govt run facility. The rooms are spacious, linen clean and the beds are comfortably large. The washroom, as in most MP Hotels, has no segreagation of dry and wet regions. So the second person who goes in will need to be careful not to skid. The toiletieries are adequately provided and replenished. The water taps are "sophisticated" and challenge you to select your preference. Broad windows with thick curtains provide a cozy ambience.||The parking lot is big (and parking at owner's risk!). The Hotel is in two blocks of two floors each. One has a lift to reach first floor. The older unit has provided only steps. So people with knee problems have to choose accordingly. ||The breakfast has a good spread but if a large number of guests simultaneously seat themselves, the kitchen staff struggle to replenish fast moving items. The food is tasty and a bit spicy.||The staff are polite, and prompt.

MPT Hotel Ujjaini.Madhya Pradesh Tourism has done wonderfully well in establishing reasonably priced hotels and resorts, which provide value for money to the visitors.|MPT Hotel Ujjaini is no exception.|Central location makes for easier transit to the business districts and the Mahakaleshwar Temple, a must-visit place when in Ujjain.|Rooms are comfortable. However, in our room, Room 307, the bathroom fixtures were leaking, not working properly and reflected neglect by the staff and lack of maintenance.|Staff were polite and well-behaved; however, their greed for the tip was a bit of a dampener and negated all the good work.|The dining hall was well managed, and breakfast was tasty.

The accommodations were comfortable, and the spacious rooms were a haven after a long day. However, what truly made my stay special was the exceptional staff. They were polite, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure my needs were met. A special shoutout to Sakshi, who was an absolute delight! She's an amazing listener and problem-solver, making sure every issue was resolved with a smile. Five stars isn't enough – I'd give it ten stars if I could! Highly recommend this hotel for its warm hospitality and excellent service.
