MPT Tansen Residency, Gwalior

I went there with my friends and family for 2 nights stay. Hotel is located in the centre of the Gwalior city. Staff is very cooperative. Food is healthy and decisious. Parking is ample. Rooms are also good and washroom was also clean but still improvement is required for room minor seepage and washroom maintenance. As such there is not much problem but renovation is going on to improve the exterior look as well as rooms. Overall we enjoyed our stay there and most importantly the food and convenience of reaching the hotel from any corner of the city.

We had a fantastic experience. |Despite the challenges of ongoing renovation, the property gave us every possible care and attention. |The linens were spotlessly clean so were the rooms and washrooms. |Food was affordable and tasty.|The huge differentiator was the people: from the smiling Property Manager to the guard- each one made a difference. |Special Mention- Kamini Madam and Mr Vicky Thapa- the corporate Chef. |The Hing Daal,Corn Palak and Grilled Fish with Lemon Butter Sauce was outstanding. ||The service boys - Biren and Rahul as also the spectacled gentleman at the Restaurant - the singers- each one added value.|We would like to go back to the property for the people.

The property is a bit old but is in a good location with easy access to nearby places. The rooms need some upgrades to improve guest comfort. The food quality was below expectations, so I had to look for better options outside the hotel. Let me know if you want it even shorter or more casual.

Stayed at this property for 03 nights recently. What surprises me is , how do the Bosses motivate the staff right till the last person to give their 100% with absolute commitment and sincerity. The only other Govt run hotel chain which comes closer is Himachal tourism Properties and staff. The MPTDC properties are well maintained seving delicious food in their Restaurants and service by the ever helpful and efficient staff is exemplary. Right from Mr Nitin Katare the GM to even the contracted laundry man Sh Mukesh Kumar , every one ensured our staff was comfortable and memorable. A big THANK YOU to every one who made our stay simply enjoyable. Hats off to MPTDC as a organisation. Pray you prosper and continue to offer us a truly wonderful experience at all your properties. Hotel Tansen Residency is a decent place to stay in Gwalior with good facilities and convenient car parking. The rooms are spacious and the location is excellent. However, the hotel needs better maintenance, as some areas feel a bit neglected. With improved upkeep, it can easily match the standards of top hotels in the city.

This resort is actually a refurbised version of an old building. All amenities are available with considerable defects in AC, seepages and leakages in washroom pipelines. You will lack the sophisticated ambience which is available in the other MPT resorts. Except breakfast, food is too much expensive and quality requires improvement. Good things here include quality breakfast, ample parking space, and nice behaviour of staff

Located at vip road near collector House. FOOD WAS GOOD. Bar facility available. Food can be served at rooms. AT DINNER TIME THERE IS LIVE TABLA AND SONG . PRIVATE PARKING.
