Mr & Mrs White Corfu

We arrived at lunchtime and the transfer mini bus took us right to the reception,which we realised later was a blessing as others were dropped on the main road. Our room was up a steep ramp and 47 steps ! Not ideal in the heat! Our room was fine however had not been cleaned very well with some items left in drawers and the previous occupant asking for them back! Our patio doors were very hard to open with strength required and once out there no way of getting back in if the door was shut! The shower was broken we reported this but it was not fixed. We also had to ask for towels as we had one bath mat and no robes or towels but 2 pairs of slippers. The staff were lovely and helpful nothing was too much trouble with Jenny on the bar and Harris in the snack bar particularly good. We had 2 blissful days by the pool where there were 6 people it was like being in a villa pure bliss. The position of the hotel was good for us 15 minute walk to the beach and 5 minutes to some amazing restaurants with Theritas at the end of the road a firm favourite. The hotel is tired and could do with some TLC but the staff make up for this as they work so hard, hence the 5 stars. The grounds guy never stops and it is a big site. The breakfast was good calm and unhurried in a beautiful setting. We watched the sunset from our balcony which had an amazing view. We loved our stay here thank you

Reviews are of course subjective, but the negative feedback related to Mr & Mrs White is, in my optimism, unfounded. From arrival, we found the staff to be helpful and professional. Our room had recently been decorated and therefore hadn’t had the main curtain returned. This was sorted for us. Our bedroom was spacious and clean, and the shower was equally large and well-equipped. Towels were changed daily, and the room was cleaned every day. Breakfast at Mr & Mrs White – expertly and efficiently managed by Harris - is served until 11:30 which we found very flexible and appealing. The fresh options were plentiful and fresh, with the cooked selection being an added bonus. The outside area with pool is green and pretty, with plenty of shaded and uncovered beds. The hot tub was out of use, but this didn’t detract from our experience. The bar is tended by Jenny, who is friendly, accommodating, professional and extremely warm and friendly. The proximity to the town and beach makes the hotel a very good holiday choice. A great stay. Thank you to the staff.

Tranquil hotel in beautiful setting in lush grounds. Rooms are spotless and comfortable. Pool is great with plenty of modern sunbeds and new umbrellas.|The breakfast is self service with plenty to choose from with delicious pastries, fresh fruit, bread , yoghurt and cooked food. The star of the show is Jenny the friendly br tender. Was very anxious after seeing reviews at the end of last season but a lot of work has clearly been done to restore and renew. Would happily return.|

It’s surprising to read negative reviews, as our experience — and that of our friends — was entirely different.||Our standard room was lovely, with a balcony and a beautiful sea view. Everything was in good condition — the TV, hot water, and doors all functioned as they should.||Breakfast was simple but satisfying. The pool and hot tub were both clean and well-maintained.||The hotel staff were exceptionally friendly, always smiling, and incredibly helpful — a solid 10/10! ||Yes, there were some signs of wear and tear in parts of the room, but it didn’t affect our overall experience. In fact, considering the general condition of buildings around Corfu, this seemed quite normal :)||The hotel’s location is also worth mentioning — it's conveniently close to restaurants and shops.||A big thank you to the entire team — we had a very positive stay and would definitely come back. ||A solid 4-star hotel.

I was slightly anxious after reading the reviews of this hotel but we had absolutely nothing to worry about.|The staff were exceptional with special mention going to Lisa and Jenny. We had a very delayed flight and after sitting on the plane for eight hours (a flight that should have taken three hours) we arrived tired and frazzled but Jenny and Lisa greeted us with huge smiles, made us laugh, served us cold drinks and we instantly relaxed!|Yes, like other reviews we found some area’s of the hotel are a bit tired, namely the sunbeds and pool area (the pool itself is spacious and clean) and some parts could benefit from a lick of paint but the overall standard of the service and rooms makes up for this. |The breakfast was fantastic with lots on offer to suit everyone, we didn’t expect anything hot but there was a small selection of hot food too. We had lunch on one day in the hotel, the chef made up a gyros sharing plate for us and it was excellent! |We stayed in a junior suite with a shared pool and the room was spacious with a comfortable bed and the pool an added bonus on the hot days, it felt very luxurious to have a private pool but the price of this upgrade was very good value. |The hotel location is fantastic, just a 5 minute walk to the main part of town and around 12 minutes walk to the beach. This meant the hotel itself is quiet and peaceful but it’s only a short walk to bars and restaurants. |We did feel a slight downfall was the lack of cleaning, the hotel states rooms are cleaned every other day, we were only staying for a long weekend so it wasn’t too much of an issue. The cleaner only came once, late on the Saturday afternoon whilst we were in there so it only had a cursory clean with the bins being emptied and fresh towels, perhaps if we hadn’t been in the room she would have given it a full clean but it would have been an improvement to at least have the bins emptied daily. |We will certainly be visiting Mr & Mrs White again and we look forward to it!

We had had booked the Honeymoon Outdoor Jacuzzi Suite with high expectations, but unfortunately, our experience was deeply disappointing. Upon arrival, we were not greeted at all by the person at the reception — no “hello” or welcome, which felt cold and unprofessional, especially for what is supposed to be a romantic and special suite. When we entered the room, we immediately noticed a strong, unpleasant smell that gave both of us a headache within minutes. It made it impossible to relax or feel comfortable. Given the lack of hospitality and the condition of the suite, we decided to leave right away. We simply couldn’t imagine spending our stay in that environment. While we understand that not every stay goes perfectly, we had hoped for at least a basic level of cleanliness and friendliness. Sadly, this was not the case. We hope that management takes this feedback seriously, as the location and concept have potential — but our experience did not reflect what was promised. Edit: A refund of 50% was effected after contacting the Management of the Hotel.

AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS! From the moment you arrive, a disgusting, nauseating smell hits you right in the face. The place is filthy, absolutely unsanitary. The jacuzzi? A complete nightmare: the cover was yellowish, covered with mold everywhere. You couldn’t even think of stepping in without risking a serious infection. Inside, it gets even worse. The windows don’t even close, leaving you with a constant feeling of danger, as if anyone could easily break in during the night. Hot water? Forget it. Be ready for an icy cold shower in a bathroom that’s filthy and clearly hasn’t been cleaned in ages. The TV doesn’t even work, and the curtains… what a joke! They don’t even cover the glass doors properly, meaning people outside can see right into your room — zero privacy whatsoever. Honestly, this place is a living nightmare. Do not set foot here unless you enjoy sleepless nights filled with fear, disgust, and frustration.

We actually came back to clean towels thrown on an unmade bed.|Broken TV! |Broken patio door (which stayed that way despite being reported) |Broken coffee machine !|Broken Hot Tub!|Snack bar, no tomatoes!! |We didn’t even try to use the pool or stay on site as we wanted to have a nice holiday!!The town is lovely, with great people and restaurants and shops. So stay at a different hotel if the area appeals to you.
