Yelp
For those who are looking for vegan food options or a restaurant that serves food with quality produce from contracted farmers from all over Japan, you will want to give Mr. FARMER a chance!
With restaurant locations in Omotesando, Shinjuku, Komazawa, Hibiya and Kisarazu, the concept of the restaurant is health-conscious food and drinks inspired by the West Coast in America.
I went to both Omotesando and Hibiya Tokyo Midtown locations.
The Omotesando location is not far from Maisen Tonkatsu.
Mr. FARMER prides themselves on their salad menus, with salad portions big enough to be for lunch and dinner and their dressing is homemade. Their salad incorporates spiciness, sourness, sweetness with the ingredients used.
The restaurant also sells vegan and there are numerous vegan options. Mr. FARMER emphasizes that their vegan dishes do not contain any meat, fish broth, broth using animal products, dairy products, eggs, honey or white sugar.
While for those who eat meat products, can order a power protein menu with high protein, low fat and features a lot of vegetables, egg white omelet, chicken breast or red meat.
I tried their Vegan Local Moco (brown rice, quinoa, soy meat, "Kaeshi" flavored soy sauce, soy mayonnaise, papaya, avocado, pickles, sprouts, Mexican salsa, sauteed kale and seasonal vegetables). This was delicious!
A friend of mine that I ate with ordered a salad and he was impressed with the quantity of salad because a lot of Japanese restaurants serve salad as more of a side and a few tiny pieces. But at Mr. FARMER, you get your money's worth!
