I get bananas are weighed by the pound, but I respectfully asked if I can just get a few and not the bunch. Was coldy told I needed to purchase the whole bunch. Other supermarkets in Queens let the customer only purchase what they need. Maybe have a seperate pile wherein a customer can choose to purchase the amount they want? Severely lacking in flavored coffee creamers in the fridge section. They only have the blue french vanilla coffeemate ... I guess that one is in high demand.

The best (and affordable) produce in town! Also, only mentioning this bc I saw a review mention pineapple…tonight I bought a pineapple from this store to bring to a friend’s birthday party and I kid you not, it was the best pineapple I’ve ever had, perfectly ripe 🍍🍍🍍 The store can’t really control when fruit ripens, but when I need to find perfectly ripe fruit, there are always great open.

Jan 2026 - Update. Ownership has changed :( ... the ripe bright yellow pineapples are no more. They are now reddish yellow. I believe the owner rang up my fruit items. Placed a fruit onto the scale even though the specific fruit item was priced per unit not per pound ... then he angrily denies putting the fruit on the scale lol. Receipt does not itemize the fruits by name so one would not even be able to find discrepancy. A disservice to the older generation. On the bright side ---- they kept the staff as I do see familiar faces. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- One of the rare stores that sell ripe pineapples (the exterior is yellow as opposed to dark green) --- resulting in a sweet taste!

I do not usually leave reviews but truly appalled. Ownership changed and so did the prices. A celery bundle that I used to purchase under $2 is now $4?! I saw it rang up for $4 and had to clarify as it took me by surprise. I had been purchasing it for over 2 years. It is not even organic or packaged celery hearts. I can only imagine how much the other produce has gone up in price. Might as well go to the supermarket at this point.

They used to be part of the Mr.FRUIT franchise that was/ is a fabric of BK but sold off about a year or so after the pandemic. Nowhere near as good as it used to be but still good to have a late night open store since GP box shops all close at like 8. Convenient is a 4 but groceries quality now is a 1-2 at best. Miss old Plum and MrBerry a lot harder. GP is just so expensive now- the rent is too damn high. RIP brooklyn
