I’ve eaten at Mr. Shuck’s countless times since moving to Brunswick, and it remains my absolute favorite spot. The shrimp with lemon-teriyaki on the side is unbeatable, the wine selection is always solid, and the butter cake is a must every time. The service truly sets this place apart—Michelle and Kiara always remember my name, the bartenders are consistently kind, and the ambience is always just right. I’m especially excited that Holly is back as Bar Manager. You truly can’t go wrong with Shuck’s.

My daughter and I stopped here on our vacation. And I wish I lived in the area to go back as often as I would like. The food and service was excellent. We both had combination plates. One thing, we arrived about 45 minutes before closing. And we were still eating when the staff started cleaning up for night. It was so good. I usually have a list of positives and negatives in most of my reviews. The only negative is that Mr. Shuck's Seafood is in Georgia and I'm in California.

Incredible meal and thoughtful service. Get the dinner plates, so many fun bites on one plate. Stopped off the highway for a break from driving back to New York from down south— the shrimp was amazing. We sat outside with our dog and they brought him water without us asking! We pinned it on google maps so we can stop every time we do this drive.

She went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, making us feel valued and taken care of the entire time. Her service was the kind that makes you excited to come back. Now let’s talk about the food—outstanding from start to finish. The Shrimp Trio was phenomenal, with the honey garlic and lemonyaki flavors being the standouts. The blackened snapper and fried flounder were cooked to perfection, and the sides—garlic corn, okra, and garlic potatoes—were seasoned just right. We sipped on refreshing mocktails, and capped off the meal with the fried banana cheesecake, which was absolutely worth the wait and the perfect ending to an already incredible meal. Mr. Shucks isn’t just a restaurant, it’s an experience. Between the delicious food, amazing staff, and unforgettable atmosphere, this will definitely be a regular stop for us anytime we’re in town. Mr. Shuck’s Seafood is a staple in this community. I found that out on my first visit. The staff was super nice and welcoming and the bartender was also super friendly and welcoming. I even met Mr. Shuck’s himself. Great guy and very appreciative of his customers. Good was a 10/10 Customer Service was a 10/10 . This is my new spot for blue crabs.

Amazing service, super hot food, mega portions, spicy garlic butter had the absolute perfect heat. Rookie mistake 😞, do not get the larger feasts unless it's for multiple people. They are enormous!

Outstanding food and service. Everything was hot, very tasty and we will definitely be back. Anything with thr garlic butter is good. I had the 1lb shrimp feast and was stuffed! 1/2 lb would have been enough and I can eat! 1st photo is 1/2 lb and 2nd is 1lb. It's served with potatoes, sausage, corn, and a boiled egg. Covered with butter!

3 of us were driving through Georgia and found this seafood restaurant. There was a wait when we got there, about half an hour, and we were seated in 20. It’s a Saturday and the line was long, so that’s a good sign. The service was friendly but super slow. We were seated at 5 p.m., and the appetizer was served in 10 minutes but didn’t get to eat our main meal after 45 minutes later. It’s understandable because they’re busy. But, that’s a very long wait. But the food made up for it. I enjoyed the garlic shrimp, my friend his grilled whole flounder, and BF his shrimp and crawfish boil, except for the sausage, that tasted like bologna. Portions are pretty good for the price you pay. I loved the corn and coleslaw. Overall, delicious food drowning in butter, enough to clog your arteries in one day. So, don’t eat this often. The price is incredibly reasonable.

Mr. Shucks just launched their first-ever Sunday brunch, and let me tell you--it was absolutely worth opening the doors for. They're normally closed on Sundays, so this felt extra special. We started with the mimosa flight, which was fun, festive, and perfectly balanced--great flavors and a great way to kick off brunch. For my meal, I ordered the catfish with eggs and potatoes, and it was exactly what I wanted. The catfish was seasoned just right, the eggs were cooked perfectly, and the potatoes were crispy and comforting--hands down the perfect breakfast for me. My husband went with the Crab BLT, and yes... I definitely stole a bite. It was fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. We also shared the stuffed French toast, which was rich, sweet, and really well done--such a good brunch pick. Overall, the food, vibe, and experience made this brunch a hit. If this was their first Sunday brunch, I can only imagine how good the next ones will be. I hope they keep it going--Brunswick needs this! We'll definitely be back.

Usual business trip & this establishment had good reviews for seafood. Arrived at 4pm on my arrival into town. Seated at bar immediately. There were lots of regulars at the bar; which is always a good sign. Ordered shrimp boil, which was seasoned well and loaded with butter! Yum. Service was good and very quick. I'd return if back in the area.

This is the best seafood restaurant on the Georgia Coast. I hope they continue to maintain the current level of professionalism. The food is superb as in tasty and scrumptious. I love their garlic-butter approach to seasoning with herbs. Service is excellent.

We visited this site last year and had a scrumptious meal with some of the freshest seafood ever! We wanted to stop back by for lunch on Friday only to discover they are now only serving take out and operating as a market. I'm sure the service and ambience remain fine and I'm sure it was still great food but I didn't want to eat in the car so we went somewhere else. Too bad it was a great place.

Enjoyed the quick trip to Mr. Shucks for lunch and shopping on Wednesday to catch up with my sister friend. That mango lemon drop and large crab legs were delicious . The staff were very friendly and went out of their way to make sure we got what we wanted even after my friend placed her order incorrectly. #girltimeisthebest #seafoodlover I will definitely be going back.

How you can give this less than five stars is beyond my imagination! Wonderful food, wonderful service, wonderful friends, even though they're strangers. Like somebody else says run don't walk to this place.

Outstanding in all aspects! From the food to the staff . This will be a must eat at place. The catfish fried in cornmeal to the blue crabs prepared with a garlic butter!! Our server Roddy, was great.

Came here for an early dinner after a long drive. Located in a strip mall near the Walmart. There is plenty of parking. The place is not real big, but they made good use of the space and it is decorated nicely. Tables were clean and I was seated quickly. My server was excellent and very helpful. She brought me a shrimp in garlic sauce and I loved it. I will get that next time for sure. I chose fried shrimp and oysters with a cole slaw side. It was good, but very greasy. Batter was light, so that was good. The cole slaw tasted home made. The food came out quickly and the service was great. I will be back when in the area for sure!

Very crowded with a steady flow of patrons. Every seat was taken on a Friday at 12:30pm. Fried whiting was very good, but the fried oysters were not. They're known for their garlic butter shrimp, that they brought out complimentary samples for us to try. Very good! Fried okra was okay.

What a great addition to SSI! My grandmother lives on the island and loves Mr Shucks in Brunswick, so they came highly recommended. Pros: The prices are unlike anything else you see on the island, so affordable! The garlic shrimp sample was genius, because I would've likely not tried that flavor and it was SO GOOD. I ended up getting some garlic butter to dip my shrimp in. They're working kinks out, but everyone was working hard and were so friendly. Indoor and outdoor seating. Con: There is only one restroom for the whole restaurant (if there were more it was not labeled) and that was only a problem because we have a potty training toddler who has to go when she has to go. We will definitely be back!

When you go n a Wednesday with a reservation and still have to wait 20 minutes you know it's good. When the place is packed and they wait out the door you just know. When the kitchen is overwhelmed with in service, mobile orders and take out you may have hit gold. The staff is phenomenal, friendly, energetic and always hopping. Roddy our server was great and always on top of things and the Manager (I assume) Mr.C was always around checking on everyone. The drink specials were great the bartenders really knew their stuff. The complimentary garlic shrimp was just a teaser. For our non seafood person chicken wings and stuffed potatoes were spot on. The three seafood platters we ordered were some of the best I have had second to none. The funnel cake fries dessert just made it that much more of an experience. If you're a seafood lover this is the place to be. Just wish it wasn't 4+hours from Tampa so I could visit more often.

Oh My Gosh!!! I purchased the sampler that is a meal for one and let me just say, THE STRUGGLE WAS REAL!!! I could not eat it all, but I sooo wanted to because it was DELICIOUS!! If I'm ever in town again I will definitely drop back by!! I sat at the bar and enjoyed great conversation with another guest. The bar tender was really nice as well.

This place is awesome. The seafood was fresh. We order the ultimate platter. It's recommended as sharing for 2 but I can see 4 but I'm not a big eater nor is my ma. So we had to get 3 to go boxes. Well worth the price. The owners uncle greeter each table. He looks like the owner to me but a tad bit older. At the end they brought warm water with lemon and a cloth to wash your hands with. Highly recommend. My only wish is that he would eventually open up a larger venue to accommodate a larger crowd.Because the wait for a table can take some time but as I stated it is worth the wait but practice patience when it comes to being seated. Also the waiter/waitresses could be a little more attentive but the service was still good. We'll done.

We always make a point to dine at Mr. Shuck' for shrimp any and every time we are staying there overnight. Even if we are only passing through... we set aside an hour for a delicious meal at Mr. Shucks

Probably the best Seafood I've had in a very long time. Everything our party ordered was great, presentation and service all added to the experience. The Blackened Red Snapper dinner was fantastic! Hush puppies are five star on their own! Will definitely be returning while working in the area.

This place is amazing. Here is my big tip- make sure you are hungry when you go. The quantity of food is huge and the quality is also really good. As first visitors we were given a piece of shrimp in a garlic sauce to try which was a nice surprise. I ordered the 16 piece shrimp dish and they let you pick two different sauces so I selected blackened and garlic. The shrimp are small but delicious. In addition you get two hush puppies and two sides. I ordered garlic corn and garlic potatoes and both were good. My husband ordered the crawfish platter. He highly recommends ordering the garlic butter sauce on the side otherwise your seafood is swimming. Service was excellent. Our table was in the bar and oddly shaped so it was hard to have a conversation with other members of our party but it worked okay. I will definitely be going back- lots more to try.

First off, started with extremely SLOWW SLOWW service in the patio. When bartender finally noticed he was nice but golly no table touch intro for at least 20 min in the patio. I felt like I almost wanted to leave , but I love blue crab too much to pass. After that, the food came out quickly and server was nice but still forgot small things like lemon and water refills while they were really not that busy. Maybe 2-3 folks at the bar. Very sad since I had my dog and I couldn't really leave him to go get the things I needed inside myself or remind him. He did go above and beyond when he finally realized he kept forgetting about me. Food was absolutely delicious. Blue crab is fresh and meaty. Tasted perfect. Just wish the shells were still on. Shrimp was good and the combos are priced right!!!!! $29 for this dish pictured. Not bad at all!! At these pricing and experience, I will be back next time I'm in the area.

This place is amazing. As tourists we were looking for some good seafood. We were blown away by the food, service, and experience. We had the sampler platter and whitefish dinner. Everything was incredible. Seasoning was just right and no shortage of butter. Our server, Rhonda, was a treat too. It was hopping on a Monday night off season so you may want a reservation. Nice calm vibes, even when crowded. If you are in the area (or an hour away) it's not to be missed!

AMAZING!!! Do not walk but RUN to support this business. I've eaten seafood boiled, steamed, fried and grilled from MS, LA, AL, and FL. I've had mild, medium and hot! This place could easily stand 10 toes down with the best of Louisiana seafood!! We ordered the Miss Shuck's (1 snow crab cluster, shrimp, potatoes, corn and egg) Medium, funnel cake fries and Kentucky Butter Cake, grape kool aid, & blue raspberry kool aid. Everything was amazing!!!! I cannot wait to return!!!

Stopped in here on our way north. Lots of good reviews. Let's eat y'all! So stepping in we had a bit of a wait. Once seated Logan was right there taking care of us. In fact everyone was so friendly. Logan our was awesome! She offered great recommendations and super efficient. She even got us expresso martini that wasn't on the menu and Chiara rocked it from the bar. We started with Fried green tomatoes. Really really good! Lightly breaded. A little heat and thick n tangy green tomatoes. So good! I chose the Tilapia dinner with loaded fries and coleslaw. Fish was cooked perfectly. Fries were ok but cheese cooled and they all stuck together. Deb had the Shrimp feast. So much delicious food! Shrimp was so flavorful. Ambience is very homey. A bit loud but it reminds me of being on vacation near the water and everyone going to this place after a day of doing touristy stuff. If you like seafood this is the place! This place checks all the boxes; good food, good people and great prices.

This small restaurant is well worth going a few minutes off of I95. The very friendly staff welcomes you, and our server was professional and fun. We had shrimp and coleslaw slaw for lunch. Her grilled shrimp was perfectly seasoned, and my fried shrimp was the best I've ever eaten -- lightly battered and flavorful. Don't miss this place!

Yeehaw!! This was amazing seafood! We tried a lot of different things and don't have enough good things to say except, thank you Lord and Mr. Shuck's for garlic and shrimp! We had Fried Green tomatoes, hush puppies, garlic oysters, and shrimp feast. The spicy Bloody Mary's were the perfect pairing! The atmosphere is clean and inviting. We appreciated how friendly and welcoming all of the waitstaff was throughout the meal. Shoutout to Fonta for the order suggestions, friendliness and the plastic bib with a pocket! To top it off, we loved the warm bowl of soap to wash up after our amazing buttery/garlicky meal.

What an amazing find during our travels! We were greeted with warm smiles and wonderful hospitality and then seated. The server, Chelsie, greeted us with enthusiasm and when learned it was our first time dining with them, brought us a sample of their signature butter garlicky shrimp sample. Incredible! We ordered the red snapper lunch and the oysters in garlicky butter sauce. Both dishes were extremely tasty and delicious. The restaurant decor and attention to cleanliness was impeccable. First time going sooo many choices.. I got the fried green tomatoes, shrimp fries and fried buffalo boiled eggs. Everything was on point . The only think I didn't care for was the buffalo fried eggs BUT overall it's a 10!!'

One of the best seafood "joints" I have ever been to. Tried to go one night only to learn you need a reservation to avoid a long wait, so booked for the next evening. It was worth it. The shrimp in garlic butter was incredible. We joked we should take home a gallon of the garlic butter, it was that good. The shrimp was also wonderfully fresh. I had the fried catfish also, which was in a cornmeal batter (your choice of batters) and it was also good, though not as good as the shrimp. Everyone loved their meal, we are tempted to go back again.

Price was a lot but it is fancy and it is in Georgia. Was nice to try Georgian seafood boil, they don't really give you much and there is so much butter in the sauce but still really enjoyed the visit

Wonderful service and the best seafood experience I've had in the Golden Isles! My husband had the fried shrimp dinner and I had the lightly steamed oysters with the Mr Shucks sauce and the fried shrimp basket. The oysters were true perfection! The shrimp were perfect. I know, I know, it was a lot of food for a little lady but what can I say? I was hungry!

We have been indulging in their garlic smothered blue crabs for years and are never disappointed. They are a black owned business that started as a tiny place that only took to go orders. We are so excited they expanded their business into a sit down restaurant and even a traveling food truck! They always have amazing service and i love seeing the owners in the restaurant being involved almost everytime i go. Truly one of my favorite spots. They have a great size menu with fair prices and I would recommend to anyone. This go around I ordered the blue crab platter which comes with 3 blue crabs (they gave me 4 ) and a 1/2 pound of shrimp with one side. The blue crabs were small in size, but that is really season dependent and uncontrollable. Everything was delicious per usual and I was very satisfied! My mom ordered the fried shrimp platter which came with 2 hush puppies and 2 sides for a great price of ~18!! I tried the fried shrimp and they were deliciousssss. Seasoned to perfection and not overly battered, i loved them. I can't wait to come back and explore their other menu items!!

Dropped in on Mr. Shuck's as we were passing through town on I95. Our waitress asked if we were first time visitors, and when we responded, 'Yes,' she suggested we try a free sample of their 'Mr. shucks' buttered shrimp before we ordered. Like their sign says, we were 'hooked at first bite.' If you are ever anywhere near Brunswick, do yourself a favor and get some Mr. Shucks. Best shrimp I ever ate.

Went here with my mom after we looked up best seafood near me and Mr. Shuck's was rated as the best in GA! And it lives up to that title! I got the fried oyster basket and my mom got the Misses Feast. It would have been a five star experience except for the service. It took a while for us to be seated and we're not spoken to except to get our orders. Overall I would recommend this place just don't go if you're on any kind of time crunch.

This was my first time trying this place as I had been hearing so much about it. Great seafood and the blue crabs are super. What stands out for me is the sauces that definitely enhances every bite you put in your mouth. That garlic butter sauce and the Shucks sauce yes lord. Everything was really great and so was the service. The meals came out hot and the drinks were perfect. We even had a large party of about 14 and it wasn't a bad was it time and our waitress was phenomenal. I mean you would definitely have a problem if you messed up the seafood but they really did a great job. I definitely will be back cause I sure need that sauce omgggg slap ya mama it's delicious

Been in Brunswick for a few weeks now and I came across this establishment on Yelp and book marked it. A few days later, one of my coworkers recommended it and that's when I knew I had to visit. I stopped by this week and I can only say, I wish I found Mr. Shuck's Seafood sooner. As a person who enjoys a great seafood platter, I can only tell people this place will have you hooked from the moment you try the complimentary garlic shrimp. Yes, I guarantee it!! I walked in and thought I had my mind made up and I was going with crabs and crabs only. Once our lovely waitress greeted us and said she would return with the garlic shrimp I started to second guess my original plan. Upon receiving the garlic shrimp, I was sold. Thus, my platter consisted of the crab cluster with 1/2 garlic shrimp and hush puppies. My partner opted for the friend shrimp and garlic shrimp platter, fried and okra. We didn't wait long for our entrees. Once they arrived, we dove in and it was on from there. All I could hear was a lot of "mmms" and "uh-huhs, " which means the food was damn good in "food speak." The garlic shrimp was succulent and flavorful. Just thinking about them makes me want to go back for more. The crab cluster was no different. The crab legs were scrumptious. Now, I have had many hush puppies over the years, but Mr. Shuck's puppies are at the top of the list. They are perfectly sweet, packed with a cornmeal center and just plain yummy. My partner loved his shrimp and had been looking for a place to have okra. So, he was happy with his meal too. Mr. Shuck's is serving some amazing food. I highly recommend that you stop by and see for yourself.

Came here after an internet search for a seafood variety platter. Not too big on the inside, but they make it work! My wife had a platter with snow crab legs, garlic shrimp, fried corn, buttered sausage, potatoes, boiled eggs. She added a side of blue crab. I ordered the Conch, but they were out. So chicken tenders it was! I'm not much of a seafood guy, but I love some hush puppies! Kids had chicken tenders and fries, and one had shrimp. We came during Happy Hour so they had some drink specials going. I had a red Sangria and it was probably the best sangria I've ever had. If you come, ask for Eddie! He is usually the head bartender, but said he likes to work the floor some. One of the top five servers we've ever had anywhere. He is on his game! The best part about the whole meal was the value of the food for the price. Definitely a great value for what you get!

Wow, everything looks delicious. Veronica is super nice and very knowledgeable! Our garlic shrimp samples were delicious!! Oysters on the half shell were super fresh, Fried Green Tomatoes had a nice crust and the sauce is awesome. We both had shrimp for dinner, Wayne got the dinner with fried shrimp and some blackened, I got the smaller basket of garlic shrimp. Sides were the garlic corn and their fresh Cole slaw. The food was ok. I had a shrimp basket and the shrimp were decent. Only the baked beans were hot. A 25 min wait turned into a 45 min wait because they burned my potato skins. The employees were pleasant.

The service was awful. It took a full forty minutes for our meal to be served. Then both meals were mixed up and had to be sent back. It was extremely loud in the restaurant. My wife had ordered water with lemon. She never received the lemon. The wine list was nonexistent. The food was just OK If we're in the area again we'll skip this place.
