Ordered pork fried rice with kung po beef and 2 vegetable spring rolls. The food is actually good! I was hesitant a bit a first but this place does make good food if I was to be nit-picky I’d say the spring rolls are indeed very small compared to other Chinese restaurant spring rolls and the kung po beef sauce should be a bit thicker and not as soup like. But the vegetables do seem fresh and the fried rice is nicely done. I do recommend this for Chinese food in the henrico area. Will be trying this place more often ^^

Ordered and very disappointed. Shrimp Toast tasted like been fried in old oil., threw away...Spring rolls very small. Chicken fried rice, looked like boiled chicken in it. Sad. Pic of dinner Chicken Fried Rice, greasy and nasty

Just got pick up today, soooo disappointed. I got the bourbon chicken lunch meal and the chicken was so tough and there was no sauce whatsoever. The fried rice was so bland and almost the color of white rice. My husband got the crunchy honey chicken and was given sesame chicken instead. The spring rolls were small and cold. And the crab Rangoons weee the most ok thing, just barely any filling

I shouldn’t KNOWN better when I saw BOTH of the front doors AND the back door WIDE OPEN! No doubt anything & everything is probably flying, crawling and running in this place… but here we are! We both ordered chicken wings & fried rice and both orders were 100% terrible! We will NEVER order another thing from this place ever again. The VA health department needs to visit this place ASAP!

I order shrimp fried rice, chicken wings and a egg roll. It was good but the chicken wasn't fresh and taste like it was cooked in old cooking oil too hard and dry. My stomach dont feel right since I ate it. Please do better on the chicken

I was referred to this restaurant from a friend on fb. I guess I went on a bad night because the food was dry, hard, stale not pleasant at all. Nothing was fresh!!! If I could I would like a refund my children didn’t like it.

I took a take out of fried rice and chicken. Food tasted bad, guess the meat, ingredients and cooking oil was stale. Wouldn't recommend this to restaurant.

Love the low key laid back location! Ordered 3X times so far and food is above par in taste compared to most all the others in the area. I’m from NJ originally and the bbq spare rib tips had the same great flavor. The house lo mein is the best in the area (please stay consistent with this). The only thing that could be improved upon was the general tso chicken which was a bit dry. That was a surprise. Don’t know if it was a bad cook moment, but I would really have to consider if I’ll give it one more try.

great food, fast service, hard working workers! Will be returning again and again. And you can't beat the price!

The woman taking the order snapped at me as I approached the counter wanting to know what I wanted to order. No chance to look at the menu. I looked around and saw one of the children who evidently was associated with someone working there eating an instant noodle cup of noodles. Seeing that I tried only hot and sour soup. I saw the employee transfer the soup into the container from a holding container and then put it into a microwave for a few minutes to heat it before handing it to me. The soup was passable but the lead up made me glad I only tried the soup. This was my first and last visit.

The food was terrible,general Tao 's Dough was horrible.(it was supposed to be chicken in the dough)the egg roll was tough as hell!and they got the nerve to ask me to bring it back for another plate.hell no you dumb ass!why not my money Back.you could of had a little cat meat in there like everything else.meowww!!!I'll take it as a lost Of my money.

Hadn't ordered from Mr Wong in years. Received a "new" flyer and thought I would give it a try. The food was horrible! Ordered the Orange Chicken. It tasted like freezer burn and was cold. The majority of the dish was balls of breading very little chicken. The hot and sour soup again was cold and had a plastic taste. Very unfortunate but I would not recommend

Last chance. After the last two times were not up to par I decided trying ONE FINAL TIME. No better. Chinese donuts were not cooked in the middle. General Tso chicken was not very good. Husband's lo mein, pork fried rice, MEH. Soup was good he said. Time to find another Chinese restaurant for the future. Done with Mr. Wong 2.

I'm not one to complain but. I've tried multiple times to give this place the benefit of the doubt. My wife has found hair in her food more than once. Not to mention that my meals have gotten worse and worse I ask for extra sauce and it comes dryer than ever. Worst place ever. I use to come here for years on a regular basis and over the past year or two, Everytime I order it gets to be dryer and dryer. They offered to replace my meal which I considered until my wife got about half way through hers and a black hair about an inch long sat right there on top of her pork. That was it for me. Both being sick, they refused the refund unless we brought the food back and came in store. If you can take my card over the phone, I'd think they can refund as well. Very inconsiderate. Once my favorite place, I'll never eat nor refer again. I'd give 0 stars.

Tastes like wet molded dog food. I ordered from here and I was extremely dissatisfied. It's ultimate finesse. While I was waiting for my order i saw the owner walk in with Walmart bags of food. I also watched the cook inside pull egg rolls & crab cheese wontons from a customer and re-fry them in front of me. It's very trifling. Do not come here unless you want complete f***ery.

No sauces with food, no silverware, no napkins, over priced, poor comprehension, inconsistent pricing and if delivering, THEY ASK FOR THE TIP UP FRONT AND DON'T BRING EVERYTHING!!!

Customer service is the worst! Cold food after waiting 2 hours for it to be delivered. I called and was told to bring it to them and they will replace it. If I wanted to take it back I would have gone to get it in the first place.

I love Mr Wong's! After a bland experience recently across the river, I am so grateful for my West End Chinese food spot. The food is always cooked to order, never stale rice and so much flavor. Always pleasant/never ride service. I've been a happy customer for 6 years!

This is the worst chinese place I've ever gotten food from. I just moved across the street and decided to try. My stomach is hurting after just a few bites. The pork egg rolls are old and over cooked, as well as hard. The crab rangoons taste like old oil and have no crab but onion. Who puts onion in crab rangoons or even cream cheese rangoons. The sesame chicken is clumped together that I cant get it with a fork. It tastes old. I will not be going here again. I feel like I wasted my money because I cant even eat this food.

I ordered sesame chicken with chicken fried rice and I was extremely disappointed. The sesame chicken was all breading..EVERY SINGLE PIECE! There was only 1 piece of chicken in the chicken fried rice. I will probably never ever order from them again.

This is solely based on service. Called to order delivery, finishing up the order the woman on the phone asked if i wanted to leave a tip. I answered no, she kept saying my order wouldn't be delivered if i didn't leave a tip. I asked is tipping required to complete my order she answered no but continued to say i needed to tip before completing the order. You can't make someone tip but ultimately she did. If i was not buying this meal for my uncle in a nursing home who requested this restaurant for father's day i would have cancelled the order all together. Will never order here again.

I haven't had anything from here that wasn't tasty. Good neighborhood Chinese food! I got the lunch special shrimp egg foo young and crab dumplings for under $12 and had enough for me and my son to share! Delicious, quick delivery and friendly staff.

This place in under new management, at least for a couple months now, what a difference!!!! Great food the Wonton soup is superb and the fried rice the best . I see the bad reviews from the previous owners and I totally agreed with that , before it was horrible, now is the BEST!!!!!!

BUYER BEWARE! HAD TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE! SOME OF THESE REVIEWS MAY HAVE BEEN WRITTEN BY STAFF! (Posted on google and posting here too. People need to know.) So it was my first time buying from them. Ordering was simple enough, and I bought a ton of food from them! But I soon realized they forgot to include rice in my order. I called and talked to the manager about it and she was very rude and confrontational. I had to argue with her for half and hour before she eventually agreed to send over the rice they forgot. Simple enough right? Wrong! When the delivery man arrived, he asked me if I had rice. I said "no." It was the truth. I didn't have rice, and rice is supposed to be included with entrees according to the menu. The delivery man actually tried to let himself into my home to check to see if I had the rice. WTF? I wasn't going to let this man in. I was scared, and I told him to take his rice and go. Never again. Never again...

Mr. Wong Chinese II is located right across the street from my current apartment. I have gone there several times and have always been pleased. The food is excellent and it does not take too long to make. The staff is always friendly and I will continue to make this my #1 place for Chinese food in Richmond. They are also open later than some restaurants which makes them convenient for a late night meal. Their menu has everything you would expect from a chinese restaurant so I give them a 4 out of 5.

They have recently changed the interior a little bit so it definitely looks way better! I've ordered food here before but never got around to writing a review but since the last time I've been here my usual order of pork fried rice and chicken wings have definitely been upgraded! I'm so glad they are putting more effort and ingredients in their fried rice and the chicken is made when ordered and extremely crispy! However in exchange for the quantity, there was quality. The people that are at the cash register are way nice and we even got an extra can of soda because they messed up our order and had us wait a little longer. Overall I'm glad they upgraded, making me more likely to come back and try some of the newer items they have added to the menu.

Ive tried about 5-7 other Chinese food restaurants in the Richmond area. All have had a bit of peculiarity about them. As soon as i saw the slightly cheesy menu i decided that this would be a good opportunity to try them. I always use General Tso's Chicken(extra spicy) as my litmus test. This is, imo, one of the best down here. Its not excellent, but their combination platter is ACTUALLY a platter. Its not the chicken in one container(small) and the rice in another(smaller). Solid food, will probably be my go-to place for now.

This used to be a good restaurant when I moved to VA.. never again will I order from here though. Friday night my boyfriend & I were in the mood for Chinese food and they were the only ones that were opened so why not? Plus I never really had a problem with them before. We were eating and when I looked over, I seen my boyfriend flicker something around his food and swear.. I asked him what's the matter and when he showed me, I realized why he was swearing and so mad. There was a small dead roach in his shrimp fried rice. It was too late to call them because they were closed so we waited til the morning. When he went there to show them that, they seemed to not even care and was speaking their language and giving my boyfriend a dirty look as if he was in the wrong. He asked for his money back and they complained about a coke that we had ordered and did not take back. Seriously??? There was a roach in our food that YOU guys delivered to us from YOUR restaurant, and all you're worried about is a drink and not apologizing for this?!! Crazy I swear. Never again and NOT RECOMMENDED!!!!

I already wrote a review, don't know what happened to it...food was very good except the chicken wings tasted a little different than what was available at Mr. Wong's in Laurel Park Shopping Center. Husband agrees but it is three miles farther away. Not convenient anymore.

I walked in today and they have two new items they have jhalapeno chicken, and black paper chicken and they are really good I like both of them.

The worst Chinese food I have ever had. We ordered the honey chicken and general Tao's chicken. The honey chicken was loaded with dark meat and the general Tso's only had chicken in 1 out of 3 pieces. I actually threw up after eating this garbage. Order at your own risk.

This place is where we get all our Chinese food delivered. Got the same value and quality food as the other Mr. Wong(pick up only). Always delivered our food to us in a timely manner. Keep up the good work!

If you're going into the restaurant to eat, you should be fine. People who want delivery... ORDER SOMEWHERE ELSE! They have messed up my delivery order multiple times and consistently arrived 1.5 hours after the order was placed. Anytime they've forgotten something, they just try to give me a credit for next time. They forgot an entire dinner in one of our orders, and because it was close to closing time refused to make what we paid for and bring it to us. They instead wanted to give us a credit for next time. There will be no more next times. I've started ordering from elsewhere.

Very poor customer service. Driver delivered food which a bowl of gravy was opened and all over mine and my coworkers food. I called in to report the problem to tell the cashier we would like a refund. The cashier stated that he was not bringing us any more food as well as not refunding us. He told me that I should drop the food off at their restaurant because they are too busy. He also stated that they aren't held accountable for any damages after the food leaves their restaurant. The cashier did not reveal his name, but he hung up on me twice during our conversations. I will advise anyone at Capital One or surrounding businesses to never order from them again. I will follow up on my refund as well as report them to the Better Business Bureau. This is the worse experience I have ever had in my life with any chinese restaurant. You would think they would do the right thing and make their customers happy, but apparently they don't care. After reading up on the health and safety violations I see why they have such an attitude problem. Never again will I buy anything from them!!!
