Google
This is a whole new owner, definitely not the same but the food quality is a lot better, just a little different than what we were used to with the build your combo. Their shrimp fried rice, teriyaki chicken and egg rolls are absolutely delicious. Very friendly and clean environment.

Kiersten M.

Google
Generous portions. Good flavor on the entrees, but rice wasn’t the best. We really enjoy the chicken wings.

Nancy K.

Google
Service was great! Lady in the front didn’t pressure us to order but instead gave us a menu to browse and was super friendly. She honored the coupon on the menus, too! Food only took about 15 mins to be ready. There are chairs for you to wait. Takeout only!! My husband and I ordered combos and crab wontons. The combos come with your choice of 2 entrees, egg drop soup, spring roll, AND fried rice. 1 combo is more than enough for 1 person and honestly, I only ate about half. From our entrees, we HIGHLY recommend the teriyaki chicken and broccoli chicken. We also had the orange chicken and sesame chicken which were good, but wouldn’t recommend unless you really want that. Fried was really good! Soup looked plain but it was surprisingly very well seasoned. Spring rolls were okay and crab wontons were super sweet. Chili oil wasn’t spicy at all. Wish they had a spicy sauce on the side. They only have canned sodas to drink, so we had to drive elsewhere to get water. Food overall was fresh. Overall would rate 7.5/10!!

Google
These guys don't play around. Had the orange chicken which was breaded perfectly like sweet n sour pork. The sauce was literally like natural orange and not tangy or overpowering. The low mein tasted great and the rice was soft. Also tried the Teriyaki chicken and that was seasoned perfectly and fresh and the beef n broccoli was good. Not to much ginger or sauce and the broccoli was cooked just right. This reminded me of all the restaurants from the 90's. I've ate at Silver Dragon, Chili King, China Way, Autumn Court, Shangri-la, Little Asia Cusine, Nora Fresh, Chen Wok and all those little places along Camelback passing 19th Ave, but this place is fantastic!

Case H.

Google
Take out only, no dine-in. You are not be able to pay with Apple Pay and approve payment by Facial recognition because the credit card machine is in the counter. The food is good and price is cheap. The chicken is cooked very well and tender that it doesn’t taste too dried. Well, it’s a good place for take out Chinese food.

Kealoha B.

Google
I can’t say it was great and can’t say it was that bad either. The orange chicken was really good. The fried rice had zero flavor it just tasted like rice with soy sauce. I don’t think I’d go back but to each their own. They’re most definitely fresh and hot but the flavors weren’t there for me BUT their giving big portions though!!

Sarah S.

Google
I place 2 order, one lunch special and other one dinner meal. Both very good and highly recommended this mom and papa Chinese restaurant. The staff is very happy full when order food. The woman at order counter now her stuff. If are are near Peoria and 19th ave check them out.

Gerald H.

Google
No weird residual leftover aromas. Iys Fresh and the A/C while you wait is better than sitting in your car. BEST in this area by far. Skip the buffets.

Yelp
BOMB.com Really good and tasty. Fresh Food I would order from here again Soup came with the order

Yelp
I gave it 4 but maybe more like 3.25 is probably more like it. I stopped by today since it was on the way home and I was craving Chinese food. I had never been here before and I love the Thai place in the same strip mall, which usually always wins out. I am glad I finally went in though since many of my neighbors like to eat here to mixed reviews so I wanted to try it. I have never found a good Chinese food place here in AZ except maybe George's. This was okay. I ordered one of their meal deals. It was the King Pao chicken Spicy meal and it came with an egg drop soup, an egg roll, and I think it was a crab cake or maybe just a cheese filled puff. It did not taste very crabby and did not see any crab meat inside. Let me tell you the egg roll, and the cheese puff maybe crab thing were really delish. Yummy. Great start. The egg drop soup was terribly bland. It was like eating/sipping on water. The meal was okay. It was advertised as spicy but it is not. It came with brown rice. There was a lot of food. Enough for three meals or more for 12 dollars and change. I bought a can of soda to go with. I was annoyed they do not allow you to sit and eat in. This is why I go out. They even have signs that say that on the tables. I think that is the most classless thing i have ever seen at a restaurant. I would not have stopped by if I knew that since that is why I go out for food. I took off a star for that. I also rook off a half of star because the woman behind the counter window was not very friendly nor welcoming. These days i am going to spend my money where i feel appreciated. Maybe she was just having an off day. All in all it was an okay experience. Not the best nor the worst service or food I have ever had. Would I go back? Maybe yes, maybe no. It is in the hood and the food is certainly plentiful. I would go back if I wanted/needed take out. I usually do not need take out that often so not sure when I will be back. If you do a lot of take out you would want to ty it.

Yelp
The food here is amazing! You get a lot of food for the price you pay. One of my favorites is the cashew chicken. I also like sweet and sour pork. The service is excellent as well. The people are very friendly here.

Anjelica C.

Yelp
Absolutely love this place. It's always going to hit! Today I ordered Egg Drop Soup and Everything Lo mein. The soup is everything. So tasty, it has bits of chicken and zucchini. I believe I paid around $10. The portioning is very large. Worth your buck! Customer service is always on point. Food is made quickly and the restaurant is very clean and nice cold while you wait for you food. One happy customer!

Yelp
I was so disappointed with this place. I prdered orange chicken my hubbys fav, sweet and sour chicken and beef and broccoli which i my fav. I had high hopes but sadly it was not good. The chicken was a tiny piece of dry chicken with a ton of breading. The beef and broccoli had a strange tasteand we ordered what thry called crab puffs but it was a sweet tasting cream cheese puff. No crab in it what so ever. At the end of the day, i paid 60.00 gor steamed rice. Bummed out.... wont go back. Panda express is better and not as expensive.

David S.

Yelp
I have been sleeping on this little take out only spot. Super good food and not over priced at all you get more than what you pay for in terms of portion size. The orange chicken was sweet I enjoyed it.
google avatar

Justin T.

Yelp
I think this place is appropriately rated 3.5 star. On the positive side they give you big portions. Two entrees can feed 3-4 people. The food is good, the beef chow fun was our favorite dish! The orange chicken I thought was just ok. Our friends love this place & order for pick up all the time. If you're looking for top quality Chinese food then you probably should look elsewhere. The chow fun was really good but not top notch 5 star. This place offers a good value for the quantity size. It's not the best but it's a good option for families on a budget that just want good~ not fantastic.. I'm pretty sure the place only offers take out at this time. If I'm in the area and craving low cost & decent Chinese I may just order away!! I'm still on the lookout for Chinese that will blow me away!! Happy eating!
google avatar

Gina T.

Yelp
We ordered the veggie fried rice, sesame chicken, and egg rolls. The fried rice was FULL of veggies, I loved it, very satisfying. The sesame chicken was different than I'm used to. It was ginormous pieces of juicy chicken that are heavily breaded. I mentioned to my husband that the breading reminded me of pancake with syrup. Did not mind it at all, thought it was delicious. Will definitely be back for those two dishes.
google avatar

Desiree B.

Yelp
Customer service was amazing, we took a little while to order because we were looking over the menu, and the entire time the woman was patient and kind to us. We waited about 10/15 minutes for our food, which was so worth it. Food was fresh, best lo mein I've tried in a long time, and there's so much leftover. Will definitely be coming here anytime I'm craving takeout.

Cathy B.

Yelp
There are a lot of inconsistencies here with Mr.Wrong. My order has been incorrect here more than once. This time I am unable to eat the food they prepared for me. It has ingredients that I specifically asked not to be in it. It actually appears to be extra of that specific ingredient which makes this highly suspicious. I suspect this happens often, they have been Wong before!
google avatar

Vanessa D.

Yelp
I really like ordering orange chicken with white steamed rice and sweet and sour sauce on the side it's always really good for a good price.

Yelp
Zero Stars. Live in walking distance but stopped hoping yrs ago after their frozen food gave my son n I food poisoning yet we had different food. Tried once more a couple months later... got it again. Would rather drive for fresh food.

June M.

Yelp
New owner and he increased menu prices almost double from old menu. I used to get food at least once or twice a week I will NEVER GO THERE AGAIN. I DO NOT PAY TO be screwed over. The lady who owned this before was extremely nice and had good food at fair prices. New owner is a jacka--
google avatar

Deni G.

Yelp
Kind of average Today, we wanted Chinese for lunch. We decided to visit Mister Wong. This restraunt , offers a great lunch menu, which includes soup and fried rice. On this vist we had the lemon chicken and bbq pork fried rice. The food was fresh, hot, and good however, nothing really stood out, the food was just kind of average, it wasn't bad just not great. Service was attentive and our food was delivered quickly
google avatar

A B.

Yelp
Not doing this again. The chicken chop suey came as beef chop suey...inedible. The lo mein with shrimp chicken and beef had 2 things wrong. The shrimp was spoiled and the whole dish tasted of spoiled shrimp. But that didn't even matter, it was a salt bomb any how. Also inedible. No fortune cookies either all that money in the trash.
google avatar

Maggie S.

Yelp
I love the house fried rice and shrimp lo mein! We also ordered the crab puffs my favorite! Orange chicken is nice a crispy! Always friendly people! I will be coming back
google avatar

Jacque I.

Yelp
Generous portions for a cheap price, AND the food is super good Now I have more delicious food when I get off work tonight!! 5 28 We ordered chicken lo mein, chicken fried rice, cheese Rangoons and orange chicken. Awesome as usual, and like I said GENEROUS PORTIONS! The chicken lo mein is SO GOOD, my man really liked his fried rice and orange chicken. loveloveLOVE! not to forget, the past 3 times we ordered it was always the same sweet old delivery guy, he's pretty cool
google avatar

Yelp
Restaurant smells like cleaning products but I always get take out and the food is perfect when craving Chinese

Jj M.

Yelp
The old location on 19ave was great. Now it's ify. All it took was one wretched PC of chinen to make the whole dish a hurtling experience. Like 3 times. Unfortunately looking elsewhere.

Yelp
Lived in the area for half a year and ate from here often. Moved half an hour away and still drive out to buy food from mr wongs! Really good food and service. Beats panda and the other places. Not a fan of all the people outside in the area but whatever the food is delicious :) our order was sweet and sour chicken, sauce on the side, crab puffs , egg rolls and rice l.

Yelp
I have been looking for a place for Chinese Takeout in my new neighborhood (so I didn't have to keep driving all the way back to my old haunts) tried this place today. Orange Chicken, Mongolian Beef, and King Pau Chicken were excellent and when it's bumped up with Egg rolls, Crab Puffs, and Spring Rolls - it was all on point for movie night (and left overs). Another customer raved about the Shrimp Fried Rice...so that will be next time. Can't wait for that!

Kenya M.

Yelp
I will say do not eat here.. bc by the chance they do not make your food right. As in absolutely NO SEASONING in their food, they will be rude to you about it and will not remake the food. I ordered at 9 last night and they close at 9:30 by the time I got home they were already closed I still have the food today and called and said I was coming in to get in remade or a refund. I was told no we checked the food last night it's fine( in a very rude way ) I said soooo you're telling me you still have the food from last night...??? It's 12:44 the next day. After going back and forth over the phone I will just say this food is too much and not good or seasoned and that is not a lie please save your money. 80$ down the drain. ALSO I am not the only one saying this on the reviews multiple people have said something about their food having no seasoning.

Larry D.

Yelp
Rude and the food was not seasoned at all. Curry flavorless and shrimp fried rice no flavor. Egg drop soup no flavor!!
google avatar

Yelp
Exceptional service everytime i call in or dine in. Cannot beat the inexpensive prices with the quality of the food, the food is fantastic bold and full of flavor i always recommend it to anyone looking for great Chinese food. New hours. MON-THURS 11AM-930PM FRIDAY 11AM-10PM SAT 12-10PM SUNDAY CLOSED

Yelp
Had a family night and I ordered the Almond Chicken And they ordered a Build your own combo My Almond Chicken came in a bowl and side of steamed rice. The rice was a bit undercooked and not fat at all And the bowl itself had limpy (not meaty) chicken and a bunch of wet sauce on the bottom it physically looked more like soup All together the flavor was missing too (the almonds made up for it but would've been better SLICED) One of the rolls my stepdad got was way over peppered he took two bites and didn't finish it The sweet and sour pork has a breading on it similar to a muffin(!?)(why??)(lol) The cream cheese wontons were the only decent thing but are better at any other place I've tried... Only good thing I can say was they were wearing masks when we went to pick up for the night

Yelp
This is my first time ordering from the "new" Mr. WONG and it was delicious. I got the egg rolls, crab puff, wor wonton soup and beef chow fun. Yes, the egg rolls are a little smaller than normal, but they were very good. The crab puffs were larger then most places, and the soup had a lot of chicken, beef, and veggies, (also very good). The standout dish was the beef chow fun. Oh my tastebuds! This was, by far, the best chow fun I have EVER had! It smelled amazing and tasted just as good. Do your self a favor and order this!

K S.

Yelp
Great food both times I ordered from there. Hot, fresh and tasty. This place is a gem.

Wes H.

Yelp
First time trying Mister Wong's kung pao chicken. This was the speciality's dish and was absolutely amazing. So much flavor, very warm, and fresh. The serving size is massive and comes with soup, chicken egg roll, and crap rangoon.
google avatar

Nikki-Jane S.

Yelp
The food was a solid okay, nothing I'd order again. We got the house chow kwon, "spicy" chicken wings, broccoli beef, and fried rice. Had it delivered and was waiting a long time. No one had knocked on the door, so I'm not sure how long it was sitting on my doorstep. Wasn't awful. Wasn't good.
google avatar

Melvin J.

Yelp
Had lunch here at New Mr. Wongs. I ordered the Shrimp Chow Fun. Boy, that dish was very flavorful, robust & had a plenty amount of jumbo shrimp in it. New Mr. Wongs, is the first restaurant I've ever visited that has a Chow Fun section on the menu. My server was friendly and gave great customer service. The only negatives @ this location is: There's only 2 tables IN the dining area & has no restrooms for paying customers to use. Besides that, I look forward to trying something else on my next visit. Till then, CHEERS!!

Yelp
Yes my friends... the intrepid search for good Chinese food in Phoenix, AZ continues. Tonight's saga: Mr. Wong, 19th Ave. First time ordering from Mr. Wong under its new identity as "New Mr. Wong" ("new chef, new menu, new style," boasts the mailer). It was delivery - I decided to chance it and respond to a promotional brochure delivered some time in mid-January, 2019). Outcome? Disappointing. The Vegetable Chow Fun (not the real chow fun made with big wide 3" wide, flat noodles like you get in New York / San Francisco - this chow fun is made with 1/2" flat noodles) had almost zero flavor. :-( Same problem with the Mongolian Chicken, which I ordered "extra, extra hot." It had neither heat, nor flavor... and certainly, nothing "extra" (except perhaps the quantity?). It was essentially just a gigantic tinfoil container of flavorless chicken and onions. Crazy. Doesn't the new chef taste the dishes he churns out? Lastly, I got the pot stickers - not at all crispy (which is how I like them), but the flavor was passable and they came with a HUGE vat of dipping sauce (which primarily consisted of soy sauce). I dumped that salt-fest of a sauce on the other two dishes and then added some Sriracha I had on hand to make things edible. Honorable mention: the portions are extremely generous, if you don't mind what is perhaps the blandest Chinese food in the area (and that's really saying something!). Sad to say, would not order again. On to the next adventure. Good Chinese, I know you're out there somewhereeeee...

David H.

Yelp
Tried to order from them via Uber Eats. Asked for extra sauce on my items. They immediately rejected the order after I placed it. I called and the woman who answered said they're too busy to be able to include extra sauce - after attempting to make a case for the few SECONDS pouring sauce into a container would take vs losing the business, they denied again. Their loss of a quick $60 dinner order. Oh well, Super Dragon is amazing anyway. Check them out, Super Dragon also has AMAZING service!
google avatar

Christopher G.

Yelp
After my past experience, I would give this place 0 stars. I ordered the pork Lo Mein along with a few other items later at night. I called ahead of time to ask if they had time to make my order- they said yes. Great. I proceed to order and she tells me to hurry and get there before close- I got ready in the 10 minutes she said it would take and left. We had no issues until we went to eat our food. The pork lo mein wasn't hot enough to eat. It wasn't ice cold but it felt like when you put leftovers in the microwave and only the top gets hot. For obvious reasons, I don't proceed to eat the food, I throw it away and head to In'N'Out. I figured since it was after they closed, there was no point in trying to call and get a replacement or refund- I'll just call the next day. Upon calling, I explain the situation very calmly and with great understanding. I work in the food industry so food safety and customer service are 2 VERY huge aspects of running a restaurant. This particular restaurant doesn't seem to care for either. I was told "I don't think so" "Its not my fault" "How can I trust you" "Bring back the food so I know you didn't eat it" "We don't offer refunds" "There's no one else that can speak with you" My question is, why would you ask a customer to bring back old food. I understand some people cheat the system but I have never heard a restaurant worker so defensive about something that could've been an accident. I try my hardest to be patient and explain to her I'm not angry or appalled, I just wanted the food I paid money for. At this point she hangs up on me because the conversation isn't going her way. I call back. I tried my best to ask for another person to talk to so I can explain my situation and I was basically told she was the only one that works there. I gave up at that point. It was convenience that brought me here but it was the lack of food safety practice and respect that will keep me away. 0/10 would not recommend.

Castor D.

Yelp
never eat here orange chicken was jus mmushy some pieces an other pieces hard to tough to chew asked for two egg rolls they rung up 10 egg rolls were smelling funny couldnt eat them rice was cold n some spots paid $58 for the meal not even worth $20 had wing order shrimp fried rice order won ton soup order an the rolls never eating here again
google avatar

R P.

Yelp
Ok, we decided to try out this hole in the wall Chinese food and to be honest it was pretty good and the food tasted healthy. We both had the kung pao chicken, and egg drop soup. The kung pao chicken lunch combo was hefty. The egg drop soup was tasty, and it had peices of chicken in it. They have a verity of lunch specials to select from. So give them a try and see what you think of this place.

Bradford B.

Yelp
I probably would have given them four stars if the upgrade to fried rice wasn't just rice with copious amounts of soy sauce poured over it. Before I say anything else negative I want to talk about the good things. Portions are huge (HUGE) Quality of meat was good Veggies were fresh Negatives (lots of salt) I mean lots of salt. Like I said above the fried rice was just white rice drenche din spy sauce. My Noodles looked the same way, You could see they were drenched in it. The portions were huge, but I had to throw it all away after a meal, Just couldn't take the salt. It's like the old joke were a kid replaces the sugar in the shaker with salt. Except for this time your paying to eat it. Bummed about the fried rice. My wife's favorite dish is fried rice so I upgraded both our entree to it so she could have as much as she wanted and what came was labeled fried rice, but clearly wasn't. No veggies, no egg, just white rice drenche din soy sauce, I'm bitter about it. In conclusion, they have big portions, quality meat and veggies, and if you can handle the sodium, this might be the place for you. I'd eat there all the time if they cut the salt by half or more.

Valerie L.

Yelp
Ordered food for my father after a surgery. He was craving Chinese food. Very disappointed after receiving the food. The styrofoam food containers are super cheap! The food melted through them and all the food was mixed in the plastic bag. Gross!!! They blamed the driver and did not take ownership. Order from Super Dragon instead. I wish I would have!!
google avatar

Brian M.

Yelp
The food is greasy and i got sick on their orange chicken. The food just isn't very good .
google avatar

Mike G.

Yelp
I order delivery here multiple times a month. Pork fried rice is amazing and I love how hot the food is when delivered. Great value for the price.
google avatar

Jesse S.

Yelp
I really enjoy there food! I selected this place for the reasonable prices and delivery. You really get a lot of food for what you pay for. I LOVE the potstickers, egg rolls, crabs puffs, and chicken lo mein. Others have really enjoyed the orange chicken, seasame chicken, and fried rice. I am not a fan of their beef, its a little too chewy for me, where I like my beef with crispy edges. Compared to other Chinese delivery places in the area its definitely the best. I get it at least once a month!
google avatar

Grace R.

Yelp
At first, I was hesitant to eat at Mister Wong's. I am being adventurous and eating out of my comfort zone. I ordered the hot and sour soup and the dinner lo mein combo. The soup didn't taste right, it was peppery and sweet. The lo mein dish is okay, nothing special. The restaurant is nestled in a shady area and inside of the restaurant is small. Overall, the food is okay.
google avatar

Jason G.

Yelp
I got the Mongolian chicken. Was not spicy and had no flavor. The rice was like a big ball of goo.

Melody G.

Yelp
I have been to Mr Wongs many times. Definitely done with them. Spent fifty bucks, and was disgusted. Asked for vegetable fried rice with soft vegetables. Well, I received mush with hard vegetables. I drove, all the way from Tempe, this time. Silly me.
google avatar

Nounee K.

Yelp
This place is a small take out. Food was decent and came out fast. Price is very reasonable. Seems only a couple, husband and wife works there. Not that they needed more staff... However it's not my cup of tea. If you're looking for cheap, quick, not too concerned on the quality then this is ok. It gets the job done as far as satisfying your hunger. But as far as really enjoying your meal snd quality of the food, it's not the best. The lady was very nice though and the establishment has been there for 15 years, do I guess they're doing something right. I'm not sure if I would go back, but I wouldn't rule it out completely. Their fried chicken wings were decent.
google avatar

Monica M.

Yelp
The ordering process was simple and easy here using GrubHub. My food wasn little late but poor delivery guy had wrong address before me for another order. I did phone the restaurant and they're so sweet and nice! Excellent customer service! The driver was same as well very kind and great customer service. The food is amazing!!! Definitely worth the wait I had! It's large portion so 2 people can make a meal out of one. I ordered the orange chicken which is yummm! The fried wontons perfect also. Highly recommend them! Happy Eating
google avatar

Michael B.

Yelp
The delivery driver was awesome! I accidentally gave him $60 for a $20 order an he brought the money back saying that a paid him incorrectly. That was amazing! The meal however was really greasy and they forgot the sweet and sour sauce.
google avatar

Don K.

Yelp
If you're expecting the same old gloppy Chinese food, that's what this is, but worse. The chicken was old and reheated. The worst was the fried rice. It was just white rice soaked in soy sauce. Absolutely disgusting.
google avatar

Alex G.

Yelp
Food was OK. The sweet and sour chicken was hard like a rock just ended up throwing it away . Lo mein was ok above avg, the only delicious thing I had was crab puffs amazingly good .
google avatar

Natalie B.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious! This is a regular place for us to order from, pick up and take home to enjoy in the comfort of our own home. The food is always hot and ready for us. We always order the orange chicken and I love that they put the sauce on the side so the chicken isn't soggy when we get home. And the staff is always so friendly.
