Mleiha Archaeological Centre

A great place to visit with family or friends! The site offers a plenty of space for exploration. If you enjoy outdoor activities, there’s also ample space nearby for camping. The location is peaceful and isolated from the city, making it a perfect getaway for nature and history lovers.

This superb archaeological site and museum will introduce you to human habitation of the Mleiha region as far back as the Neolithic. Learn about the burial rituals of the people of the past along with how they cultivated and engineered their environment to survive. We finished our visit with some food and drink in the cafe, which was freshly prepared to order at very reasonable prices.

Just the drive there from Dubai was worth it! Leaving the hustle and bustle of the city behind and enjoying the calm and beauty of this little museum in the desert was so refreshing. Excellent service (Carlo was very attentive) and food in the restaurant on site added some extra value. It was still a little too hot for outdoor activities. Would definitely recommend!

Great museum in a lovely location! The actually grounds are very beautiful. There is a nice path you can walk on behind the restaurant and see some animals. You can do many activities here like horse riding, camping, star gazing etc. We just came for the free museum which was wonderful and very informative. They also have a prayer room and good facilities in general.

Mleiha Archaeological Centre provides an array of various sports and facilities for the ones who love adventure. We had an outstandingly amazing experience with an amazing team. Ms. Nada who is the person behind the organizing of events, Hamad Al Balooshi a charming gentleman who took care of us and our parents while we were horeseback riding and siteseeing. The entire team with the head Jockey and the horse handlers / trainers - Ibrahim, Nazim and Nizam… what an awesome team. The entire place is so beautiful and you can get an experience of the heritage with spectacular views. They do offer other services like glamping, star gazing, camel riding, etc.

Very nice, small museum. Building is modern and quite new. The road to the museum seems newly paved. After the museum you can visit the café which is also great.
