Google
Definitely would come back and give it another shot. I had the fried clam basket and they were definitely overcooked. I would get something different next time. My husband enjoyed his conch and my picky eater son ate every bite of the chicken tenders. My daughter’s crab cake was dripping with oil and wasn’t the best.

Sidney Gallaway

Google
What I lovely little slice of heaven. We ordered the truffle fries and the blackened mahi mahi. My dad got the house salad and I got the Caesar salad. It was nice home cookin' the waiter was so sweet. She checked on us often and felt well taken care of. Thank you!

Bron B

Google
Stopped for lunch. Conch chowder, onion rings which will kill you, fish & hamburger - great dinner food. The key lime pie is the real deal. We would recommend for anyone visiting Key Largo to stop for food. The place has real atmosphere - a five calendar kind of place if you are a Blue Highways fan.

Lisa Bablak

Google
Good variety on the menu in case you have someone who doesn't like fish. Very beachy atmosphere, attentive service and generous portions. I had the Mahi & Shrimp basket and it was very good. The Key lime Margarita was delish! They do have a happy hour.

Google
The original (small) Mrs. Mac’s Kitchen is way better. The waitress didn’t even ask us how the food was. The food however, was good. The soda tasted so much chlorine we could’t drink it. They really should invest in a water filter.

Marissa Jones

Google
This place was amazing! Had some of the most amazing seafood here. Tried gator for the first time and it was delicious. They also have a delightful key lime pie. The atmosphere is super nice, with tables that have little compartments for shells and various other nautical trinkets. The service was great, too. Our server was super nice and kept our table bussed and our drinks full. Will definitely be eating here again if I'm in Key Largo.

Jon C

Google
The food was great. Though everything we ate was fried. Most restaurants were nice, but this one had all the flavors. The batter is light, recommend the shrimp and mahi. Not the biggest fan of the coconut shrimp. The onion rings were fantastic. And the key lime pie was yummy.

Samantha Herrera

Google
I’m a South Florida Resident, i’ve passed by this place hundreds of times all my life. But today, I finally had the pleasure of stopping by. We ordered some Conch Fritters and Gator Bites to-go and they HIT THE SPOT! Delicious! Wish i would’ve eaten here sooner.

Lisa K.

Yelp
We stopped into this adorable restaurant on our way to Key West. We were greeted and served by Elizabeth, who took great care of us and was a super hospitable. Everything we ordered was excellent: coconut shrimp, broken conch, and crab cake sandwich. Our meals came with great sauces to complement the dish, but we could order any sauce we wanted. Their Cole slaw is house made and fantastic. I'm glad we stopped in and we hope to make this a regular stop on our next Key West vacation!

Bryan R.

Yelp
New Owners !? Good or Bad !? Food was good ... high lights were oddly enough the onion rings & their version of French fries, it was like thick Fried potato chips. Homemade Cole slaw good 2 Crab cakes - good but thin for $28 Coconut shrimp was & plentiful - ok Key lime pie had no traditional tartness to it & small for $6 Bloody Mary all bland & low quality weird chemical taste , but waitress never tried to ask if we wanted another or something else. Soda also never given a refill request. The place only had 4 active tables & the service was very inattentive, the waitress staff spent more time huddled gossiping, than minding the guest. Ambiance of an old Pizza Hut, with No music.

Gary L.

Yelp
Looks like an old Pizza Hut converted to a bar and restaurant. Bartender friendly and fast. Lots of people eating and having a wonderful time. Onion rings are phenomenal! Folks steady came in the doors until the place was full. Waitstaff knocked it out of the park keeping up with the dinner crowd! Well done indeed!

Joe F.

Yelp
This place came very highly recommended, and we really wanted to like it. But, honestly, I didn't think it was that great. Very pricey. I had the Lobster Bites and my wife ordered the Shrimp sandwich. The lobster bites weren't bad, but you only get maybe 5 and a ton of fries (for over $30!!). My wife got her sandwich and realized it was just fish, not shrimp so they had to make her a new one. Coleslaw and fries were good. The waitress wasn't the most accommodating person, and the key lime pie was just meh.... The restraint itself is just a big building with not much character or ambiance. Maybe if you're a big fish eater you'd find something better on the menu, but I probably won't go back

Sean A.

Yelp
Great restaurant that was worth the stop. The restaurant, design and entire food experience was excellent

Lois S.

Yelp
We were told it was recommended to order ahead. It was a 30 min wait for pick-up. Only 10 mins after ordering we got stuck in traffic. I called to ask if our order could be put on hold. They said it was already done. Nothing could be done. I mentioned the online wait time and they said they were running ahead of schedule. We got the alligator bites basket $24, the crab cakes $25, and a slice of Key Lime pie $7. We arrived and our food was sitting on the bar. It was like warm. I wish I could have asked for my tip back. This place is extremely overpriced for what you get and there are better places to get Key Lime pie. Save your money.

Sarah M.

Yelp
The dinner was very nice. The fish was probably frozen, but they masked that fact with decent seasonings. I would go back although it wouldn't be my favorite place to go in Key Largo.

Christopher N.

Yelp
Have been coming here for years. Over 20. Was my wife and my favorite go to local restaurant. Since the sale it's just not the same. Entire staff is gone. We arrived at about 7:15 bc we knew it would be empty with no line and it was. Waited at least 5-7 minutes while the hostess argued on the phone with a shrimp basket to go. We walked out again. Wait, wait! Nope. We REALLY miss the staff and past owners and quality. We won't ever go back this was our second bad experience. Sad... but they are surviving on their past reputation, for now.

John G.

Yelp
Loved Mrs Macs for the 5th time, they have the best key lime pie in thr Keys and we have tried them all over! Daniella (Dani?) was an amazing server, we tried to catch her at another restaurant she was working at but missed her by a few minutes. Food is really good and they have ice cold beer. Definitely recommend this place to anyone I know going to the Keys!!

Adam E.

Yelp
Everything was good except the crab cakes (too much filler and odd flavor). Southwest fish was very good. Start the meal with a key lime freeze and end with the pie - both are worth the trip! Our server was very friendly and attentive.

Jackie F.

Yelp
Love to visit this amazing restaurant! Love the service and servers! The shrimp and fish basket is super yummy!?we are regular guests! McKenzie is super duper!!! Thanks again!

Alan H.

Yelp
It was just OK. I would give them 3.5 star if I could. Alligator bites came out significantly undercooked, they were replaced but second batch tasted fishy, chilli dog was meh. "Waffle fries" were more like thick potatoe chips. It's a Diner, don't expect anything more than what the diner category conjures up. All that said, I know that dining in the keys has its limits. I'd likely try something else before going back, but we come to the keys once a year at most. The decor was a cool island vibe at least!

Vivian R.

Yelp
We have enjoyed this restaurant for years. Sadly, our last visit was very disappointing. We sat at the bar and we're served by Deja. She was the only person bartending and the place was packed. In addition to filling drink orders, she was serving food to tables as well. She was clearly over worked yet she remained very pleasant. Our food took almost an hour and was barely warm. I had the shrimp scampi. Very bland with a sprinkle of parsley. My spouse had shrimp Alfredo. There was a minimal amount of sauce. You would not think it was Alfredo by looking at it. It was luke warm as well. This place has gone down. Never saw a manager, and there seemed to be enough staff but not for the bar. This place draws a crowd so I doubt things will change.

Erica E.

Yelp
Slow service and bland onion rings. However chili and Macwich were amazing! We also got the chocolate cake and it was very rich and tasty. Seating was packed at 2pm on a weekday.

Paige W.

Yelp
A wonderful breakfast, great service, and fun vibes. The hostess, Debbie, was so friendly and seated us right away, and our waitress was friendly and quick. I ordered the caramel bacon waffle (to die for!) and my husband got a breakfast sandwich, which he loved. I can't recommend the bacon caramel waffle enough, plus a side of bacon which was crispy and delish. We ate outside, but the inside was huge and decorated super cute and cozy vibes.

James W.

Yelp
Classic American diner vibes serving burgers, fish, and steaks. Their entrees are filling, and we ordered the catch of the day (mahi mahi) which comes with a side salad and a side. The fish was cooked well, but could use a little more flavor. We chose the vegetable of the day as the side and it tasted like a boiled bag of frozen vegetables, so I definitely don't recommend that. We chose this place for their key lime pie and it did not disappoint. It was more like a frozen custard and delicious throughout.

Olivia D.

Yelp
Great lunch here today- the shrimp basket was delicious- love that they had taken the tails off! The burger was delicious too and service top notch! We will be back!

Hillarie F.

Yelp
Great service. We enjoyed the cocktails, fried seafood basket, and peanut butter pie.

JP D.

Yelp
Just came from this spot right here and whoa!! Amazing environment, nice and clean. Food was amazing, delicious everything. Appetizers and drinks on point. Guys go check them out, bring the family too.

Trey R.

Yelp
Pretty good food but it could be a little better. The seafood didn't taste as fresh as I would have liked but it was good.

Esteban S.

Yelp
Everything was delicious! Food, service and ambiance is amazing. A+ all the wayyyyyy.

Betty L.

Yelp
Disappointed. Picked up a pie to go otw home from Key West. I've had a slice of Mrs. Mac's key lime pie before at a party and thought it was amazing. However, the pie I got today is completely different. It has zero of the tartness I remembered and which made it so good. Just got a very sweet limey sad pie for $30. Unrelatedly, the woman at the counter wasn't the friendliest. Honestly, it would have mattered less to me if the pie was at least worth it.

Tracy N.

Yelp
If you don't give a SHIT and just want some Damn good Comfort food? You eat and drink here!!!! You're Welcome.

Joseph K.

Yelp
I had just gone snorkeling not too far from here and decided I wanted to try some of the local cuisine. They were not terribly busy when I arrived, but it does seem as if the wait staff is having to run to keep up with the tables. My server was certainly a very pleasant man, but he seemed a little overextended and disorganized. When I showed them my coupon for the free Keylime freeze, he had to get some extended help from the manager to push it through. Not a big deal of course. The Freeze itself was interesting but nothing life-changing. I opted to get the catch of the day which was mahi-mahi. As is my habit I got it blackened, which was very good with a nice crispy finish to it. The Caesar salad and rice and beans on the side were both very good as well. The Keylime pie ended up being no better than any Keylime pie I've had most anywhere else. Perhaps this is a dish that just can't be made too many ways to begin with. The room itself was uncomfortable as it was rather hot outside, and I suspect their air-conditioning may not be working at 100%. Overall for what it was my experience was fine, but I don't think I would particularly want to go back.

Jennifer N.

Yelp
One of my favorite lunch spots in key largo. I enjoyed their black bean burger. My partner loves the key lime freeze. They have one of my favorite key lime pies (maybe even my favorite).

Sarah C.

Yelp
We got a Philly Cheesesteak. The bread was soft and toasted. The steak was thinly sliced and covered in cheese, grilled onions and mushrooms. Delicious! We also got the cup or chili and cheese;perfectly spiced, and conch soup. First time have conch. Not sure what it is supposed to taste like, but it was good. Almost like a minestrone broth. Our server Justin was friendly and checked on us often. The food came out quickly. This seemed like a local diner, which we live. It was full of people, families, couples, workers, and everyone was friendly and talking g. The booths were comfortable and the tables were interesting. Ours had old recipes, which I took pics of! Now I'm ready to make my own coconut candy and key lime pie!

Eric F.

Yelp
Food: 4.5. What a good vibe from this restaurant. Staff was very friendly when we came in. We were promptly seated. I asked a few questions and I felt like the server was honest with me. I asked about certain items and he recommended others. We ordered the key lime freeze, key lime pie, fish tacos, fried catch of the day, chili, and spicy shrimp. Food came out timely and at the right temperature. My faves were the fish tacos, key lime pie, fried fish, and freeze. I forgot how much I enjoy key lime flavor. Thank you for reminding me. Service: 4.5 Ambiance: 4 Value: 3.75

Donald L.

Yelp
We have been here before... who hasn't when visiting the Keys.... The food was ok tonight, the server was friendly, but busy, so it wasn't amazing. The restaurant is a Keys classic and def worth the visit.

Seema Z.

Yelp
This was our final option for trialing some sea food while on our adventures in key west. This joint is their second location and right by the hwy 1 and can be accessed driving in from both directions. We stoped by for a weekday lunch with the intent to try alligator bites. The menu is extensive and I strongly recommend going with their fish of the day options. We tried both to r fish of the day plate (mahi mahi) and fish do the day wrap (yellowtail). Both were excellent and better than the original gator bites we stopped for. (Which we're pretty decent but the fish of the day was seasoned and cooked just right) We finished with their trademark key lime pie which for me was just average but the other party members loved it over the other key lime pies we had tried while in key west. Definitely worth a stop!!

Elsa R.

Yelp
Not what it used to be to be. The food was just okay. I don't think I would go back. In my opinion, there are much better options in the keys.

Steve H.

Yelp
First time in the area and thought we would try Mrs Mac's based on the reviews.  It did not disappoint. My wife had the fried lobster which was very good. I had the fish tacos and they were great. Tons of fish with a great flavor. I also had the Ceasars salad and it was also excellent.  Despite being stuffed, I had to try the key lime pie and I am glad I did.  It was delicious. I find too many places over use limes and make the pie to tart.  This was not the case here. Creamy, smooth and perfect.

Patty B.

Yelp
We were extremely happy with our dining experience at Mrs Mac's II. From the moment we walked in we were met with efficiency & great service from Amy and Mondo. We sat down and we had our margaritas and food within 15 minutes tops! Amy was so sweet & kind and had such a beautiful smile. She helped take a picture of us and spoke to us as though we were old friends. The food was excellent and the shrimp basket my husband got was huge!!

Brian B.

Yelp
Mrs. Mac's was full, including lots of locals, which is always a sure sign of a good restaurant. Their food quality is excellent and prices extremely reasonable considering the area. Of the items we ordered, the fried fish and shrimp platter was a huge favorite. I ordered the shrimp po boy because the key lime tartar sounded appealing, but I didn't even get a hint of key lime. Save on the bread and just get the shrimp basket. Big, fresh, crispy, delicious shrimp. If you check in on the app, you get a free key line freeze, which is basically a huge milk shake. Really tart and a perfect taste of the keys. Almost every restaurant around here has "award-winning" conch chowder. Theirs is really hearty and chunky, with good pieces of conch, but could have used a richer broth and been served with sherry. The fries came in the shape of little gold coins and were a big favorite with the family. My daughter commented how much she liked the Cole slaw, which was a surprise coming from her. Easy 5 stars and highly recommended if looking for dinner after a day at John Pennekamp.

Stephanie L.

Yelp
Really good key lime pie, best we had tried in the keys, and we tried a lot. Not a traditional meringue, but we liked it more anyways. Staff friendly and attentive.

Callie C.

Yelp
Everyone here is so kind and friendly! Multiple people came by to make sure we were doing great. They were attentive and considerate. My husband and I split two dishes. The whole fried snapper which was stuffed with a Greek salad (daily special). It also came with a roll, beans, and rice. We also ordered the grouper TJs style with Caesar salad, beans, and rice. They described TJs style as a bit spicy but it was not. If we came again, I wouldn't order a second serving of beans and rice. We didn't realize it came with the whole snapper. We also used the check in promo and got a free Key lime freeze. I would recommend this if it's free because that's always fun, but I would pay for it. It is definitely a shareable size and they gave us a to go cup because we didn't quite finish it.

Seana C.

Yelp
Stopped here for lunch on our way to Islamorada. The excellent food and service were the perfect start to our mini Keys vacation. Our server, Dani, was friendly and attentive. The fish tacos were some of the best we had during our stay. And their key lime pie, yum.

J M.

Yelp
The original Mrs. MAC'S was sold a while back. The new owner owns another Cuban restaurant in the area. Little by little, things have changed.. As a local, we used to gain points that were eventually used for a discount to meals. 1st, the system was having issues. Today, I tried to use my points and was told they could not retreave the points. The sautéed seafood sampler is usually $26, which is now $30.00. The measly 5 shrimp look like the small peeled frozen peeled shrimp you see at Publix. The dolfin filet that used to be locally caught is now a frozen and thawed bland, gooey piece of poop. The small 1/2 lobster tail seems to be the same, but now boiled and drizzled with the sauce. They were out of the popular fresh cut homey fries. The house salad with the house dressing was the same. Well, after 16 years, our party of at least 12 won't be dining here again. "STAY AWAY" Please visit: " THE FISH HOUSE 102401 Overseas Hwy, Key Largo, FL 33037 THE one star is for the great server, LAZARO

Miriam L.

Yelp
One of the best local restaurants in Key Largo. Ordered Hogfish sandwich it was very good. Loved the key lime pie, it was amazing! The decoration was very original, license plates collection, even the lamps! Very artistic! The service was good! They greeted us upon arrival and gabe us a booth fast. The server was very friendly. Just didn't ask for how I wanted my burger, and even though it was small, it was a little to rare for my taste.

Andrew K.

Yelp
Service was excellent and the waitress was attentive. Food was served pretty quickly and tasted decent but Everything was bland especially the fried basket. Normally fried seafood is the safe choice but it just didn't turn out well here. There was a bit too much batter, not enough salt or seasoning (especially on the fries), and it was over cooked (lobster was chewy and fish was tough). I did like the conch chowder and painkillers and key lime freeze a lot. Maybe it was just an off day with the fried items.

Kat W.

Yelp
I'm not sure what the difference between the two locations is, but we had a FANTASTIC experience here. Plenty of seating, and excellent service (some of the best service we have had!). I was feeling seasick from an earlier boat expedition and our waiter brought out some ginger ale for me which was a nice gesture. We tried the key lime freeze, key lime pie, conch salad, clams, and a seared and breaded conch. The key lime freeze is very tasty, much like a milkshake. The conch was generously portioned, fresh and tasty. The star of the show was really the clams. That sauce is so garlicky and buttery, it was delicious. AND it came with two slices of garlic bread (Yum!). Key lime pie was also tasty, a bit sweet for me. Overall, this is 100% worth coming to try. Prices are so reasonable too and if I were a local, I would be coming here all the time. Menu is huge and would have loved to try more things here.

Brandy R.

Yelp
Took a long time to get our food and everything tasted CRISCO grade level. Cute restaurant and feeling, the people were friendly - but for the cost, the food could have been better.

Tom R.

Yelp
Very Good! Service was Outstanding!! We were taken care of by Amy . She was Amazing! Hogfish and Yellowtail

Clarissa K.

Yelp
9-16-22 3:30PM late lunch For those who don't know it there is two Mrs. Mac's. I am told by the people who work here the small one that you hit going South on the right hand side of the road is the original. This one came after and is further South on the left hand side thus not on the water. So hubby and I have a ritual we started several years ago we go snorkeling than go to Mrs Mac's after. Unfortunately we went snorkeling later today so when we got to the original it was closed which forced us to come here. So you think bigger is better? Not necessarily nice parking out front and once inside huge dining room with a bar in the center of the room. We were lead to a table and given menus. Hubby had a Miller Lite and I a Mrs. Mac's rum punch. Looked pretty in the glass it was served in but that is where the positive ends as there was little to no alcohol. It was $10. I would be willing to spend more if it actually had a punch to it. Since we hadn't eaten all day hubby orders an appetizer for us to share of fried zucchini and mushrooms. We should have stopped there and the white dipping sauce would have been good with a little horseradish or kick just bland. I ordered a Fried fish sandwich with the catch of the day which I am told was Mahi Mahi with a chili jam provolone, mushrooms and shredded dried onions. All in a hoagie roll with a side which I chose the Cole slaw which was phenomenal. The sandwich I picked out the fish not to eat the roll because it was so big so I would finish. Unfortunately the flavors were not distinct and underwhelming. I ate half as I was starving and left the other half not to be taken home. Hubby with an unspoken language did the same with his burrito. We got a key lime pie to go and thankfully same recipe as the other location. Would we stop again? Only for pie to go. Chalk this up to experience next time I wouldn't stop, so much that we get in the other location before they close for the day. And no after all that not in the mood for the Free Key Lime Freeze that all Yelpers get with check in.

Allie C.

Yelp
Shared coconut shrimp and a fish/shrimp/fried lobster basket with the husband. Also got the key lime pina colada. I'm a Floridian, and had never had fried lobster. Didn't disappoint. The fries were also cut in a way we'd not seen before, and liked too much. The batter on the fish was great. Only thing was the amount of lobster, but I recognize it doesn't come cheap. Otherwise happy with the last minute decision to finally stop after driving by on multiple trips and not stopping.

Doug V.

Yelp
This is our first time eating at this restaurant. We spent a lot of time in Key Largo but just I've never made it here. We got there about 730 and there was plenty of room. We had to con chowder and it was very good. Everything we had was great, and the service was great. I think it is probably one of the better places in the keys.

Tina R.

Yelp
Great food and great drinks. The Chili is one of their local favorites and it was really good

Patrick M.

Yelp
Mrs Mac's had a great menu for a family of 5 and both the food and service was great, especially the conch chowder!

Teri C.

Yelp
It's hard to miss Mrs. Mac's Kitchen when you're driving through Key West. And if you miss one location going one way, the other one isn't too far ahead. We came for dinner and passed by the coolest tables that we just had to be seated at. We love the shadow box tables with all the cool trinkets underneath the glass. (It momentarily made me want a table like this, until I saw bits of food stuck in the cracks and little ants here and there.) They are known for their Key Lime Freeze ($3.99) and you get one free with Yelp check-in and they have lots of coupons in all the free guidebooks in the area. The staff were so kind to give us four mini cups so we can all share it and it was a big it! We all loved it and ended up picking up on to go on our way out of Key West a few days later. * World Famous Homemade Chili "Known as the Very Best Chili in the Keys! It's nice & spicy and made fresh every day." Cup $4.99 - Bowl $6.99 - Quart To-Go $16.99 - It was good, but not spicy at all. * Award Winning "Konk" Chowder "Real conch in a rich tomato base, spicy hot, made fresh & delicious." Cup $4.99 - Bowl $6.99 - Quart To-Go $16.99 This was good as well, but not spicy hot as advertised. * Parmesan-crusted Hogfish - It was one of their specials of the day and it was good. The mashed potatoes were especially good. It came with a Caesar salad that was nicely dressed and a good portion overall. The side of veggies were tasty too. * Caribbean Style Crab Cakes "Two cakes loaded with all real crab, seasoned just right & grilled to perfection. Served with our own honey mustard sauce, cottage fries & slaw." Lunch Plate ( 1 side ) or Basket $21.99 Crab Cakes Only $18.99 - The crab cakes were okay, they could be a lot crispier. And the assortment of veggies that accompanied this dish was good too. Kids get a free mini kid's cone upon request as well. Overall, food was good. All the plates were licked clean and there was nothing that we didn't like. Some minor issues like crispier crab cakes can be fixed and we would definitely return and recommend. Service was good. You see them working as a team and just everyone helping out. They are friendly and attentive. The samples of the Keys salt scrub was available in the bathroom to try and we were easily sold on getting some. It's sold all over the Keys but being able to use it in the restrooms was a smart marketing choice. (The Little Gal still talks about the salt scrub to this day!) 4.5 stars

Jennifer T.

Yelp
Great food after a day of snorkeling in Key Largo. The service was great! The key lime pie was creamy and delicious. We used the yelp free lime freeze coupon. If you like lime, it was a mix between a creamy slushy/shake. Everything was delicious!
