I recently stayed at Mrs Potts Hostel in Cardiff on Saturday, 2 November. Although my initial experience was marred by bed bug bites, I’ve since been in contact with the owners, who were responsive, refunded my stay, and assured me they’re actively working with professional services to resolve the issue. It sounds like they’re taking this seriously, which I appreciate, as I’m sure managing an issue like this in a busy hostel must be challenging.
On a positive note, the hostel itself has a great location on the main strip of Cardiff, yet my room was at the back, so the Saturday night noise didn’t reach me. The setup of the 4-bed dorm was also comfortable and private, with each bed having its own curtain, light, and power outlet, which made for a nice touch in terms of privacy.
Overall, while I had an unfortunate experience, I’m hopeful the issue is being addressed for future guests, as it’s clear the owners are working to provide a clean, welcoming space.
