"Ms. Donuts, Echo Park. Ms Donuts is the old school donut shop of Echo Park. It's got all the standards and more. The staff is very nice and the prices on point. The hours can be misleading and sometimes it looks closed late at night but there's a side window where a gentleman will help you even around 4am."

Google
This place rules!! Amazing donuts and great customer service! The person ringing us up today noticed that I was a big fan of maple donuts and cronuts and said if I called in early I could get a maple cronut!! Definitely going to have to try that next time. Thanks so much for the delicious donuts!

Google
Impossible not to give 5 stars to this great donut place.Their donuts are superb , specially the buttermilk one.Their Apple fritter taste like heavenly glory (yes , you did read it well) and the rest of their pastries are top notch.Very , very impressed with the quality and price.Service also excellent and plenty of parking around. If you’re looking for great donuts , this could be a place to stop by with a large selection and very good service.

Google
This review is LONG overdue - these donuts are amazing! I've been coming here every Monday for months (years?) and they have the best donuts in LA. Period. Coworkers are always scrambling when I walk in to the office. And, to top it off, the best customer service - could not ask for a better donut shop.

Google
Fast but uninspired service, classic selection of donuts, French crullers are soggy.

Google
Local donut shop with fresh donuts every day and my entire office loves their croissants. Super friendly service. Recommend preordering via text or phone a day before so you don't take the chance of them running out of what you love. Small parking lot in the front but also street parking available in the back. The prices are reasonable (much better than KK pricing), and I highly recommend it.

Google
Very tasty donuts. They are not too sweet and so fluffy. Owners are very pleasant and kind. Definitely feel like supporting this local business. Prices are excellent.

Google
Best donuts in echo park! Located in a small parking lot just next to the tattoo’s coffee shop! The owners are very friendly, kind and generous. My sister and I have been coming here for many years and the owners always remember us. I appreciate their great customer service + their selection of freshly made donuts. The blueberry donuts are to die for and their milk bars of course. Must try, even if you’re not an Angeleno it’s definitely worth the drive.

Google
Best donuts in the neighborhood. Some of the best I've had in all of LA, and that means a lot. Their seating area is nice, especially in the morning when the sunlight comes in and makes the whole place glow.

Yelp
PROPERTY HAS BEEN SOLD. Please please give them your $$ and business while you can! A GoFundMe has been set up to help them find their next home. Protect mom & pop institutions at all costs.

Yelp
Went here early this morning before work. I live close by so I wanted to get some donuts on this Friday morning. But I can't justify a dozen of donuts with two croissants for $31 lol! I didn't realize it until after I left since I was rushing...
google avatar

Yelp
Ms Donut continues to make the best donuts in the neighborhood. Their building is being bought and they are anticipating losing their space which is a huge loss to the community. They are THE hardest working people and amazingly kind. Please donate to their fundraiser if you can: https://www.gofundme.com/f/annenn-and-sophany-from-ms-donut

Yelp
I stopped by for a quick coffee and breakfast sandwich before work. It seemed like a spot for locals. People were sitting in the eating area, talking and having what seemed like a nice morning for everyone. The owners who took my order were very very nice! Warm and welcoming. It felt good to be there. It definitely added to having a good morning. My coffee was decent. I've definitely had crappy coffee at donut shops and this was better. My ham, sausage and cheese croissant was satisfying. The bacon was thick but it did have a...distinct porky flavor. (I know I know - it's pork. What should I expect. But it was ... more porky than normal? Well it threw me off but I got used to it.)
google avatar

Yelp
Best doughnuts in LA! :) we love the them all, fresh taste, not too sweet or heavy. No weird aftertaste! Yay!! Definitely going back when we need a donut fix
google avatar

Yelp
Your typical go-to neighborhood mom n pop donut shop with reasonable prices. Donuts were fresh and tasty. No need to say more. They're following all the right covid protocols (masks, plastic shields between the display/kitchen and customer area, & asking for 2 people inside the small shop at a time) Small parking lot, but go early and you'll be fine.

Yelp
Oh, Ms. Donuts. You special gem, you. Great, classic donuts. Service with a smile. Awesome breakfast sandwiches-- the one on a croissant hits the spot on a hungry morning.
google avatar

Jake K.

Yelp
This is the best donut shop in LA, hands down. I'm here every Sunday for a box of 6 (sometimes 12)and coffee/tea. Uncompromising on quality, if I was on death row and my last meal was breakfast, it'd have to be a MS Donut donut.
google avatar

Vanessa C.

Yelp
Best donuts! And really good breakfast sandwiches. We have always felt welcomed every time we come in.

Yelp
Best donuts in town. Best customer service! Family owned. My go to spot for donuts muffins sandwich's and coffee.

Yelp
Ms. Donuts has the best donuts and coffee in Los Angeles. The owners and their children are cherished by locals and newcomers alike in Echo Park and Silver Lake. They will sorely miss their friendliness and love for all their customers as they will be evicted on August 31, 2023. A new owner will be taking over the space. Please help Annen and Sophany as they lose their only source of income: https://www.gofundme.com/f/annenn-and-sophany-from-ms-donut

Yelp
Awww I just went in today and was asking about donut holes but wasn't sure if I should get them with my dozen. I opened it later and he threw them in for free!!! Love this place. Nice little parking lot, good corner location, and clearly friendly staff. Not to mention the YUMMYYYY DONUTS

Queen S K.

Yelp
So bummed to see they have to move. Ms Donuts rules -- the staff is so kind, the food is delicious, and this place feels like a neighborhood staple. There's a GoFundMe going around to assist the owners during this difficult transition and I'm sure it would help immensely to share across all social media platforms if you love Ms Donuts as much as everyone I know!! https://www.gofundme.com/f/annenn-and-sophany-from-ms-donut From the GoFundMe - "Support Annenn & Sophany from Ms. Donut": "Annenn and Sophany have owned and operated Ms. Donut in Echo Park for seven years. Beloved in the community, Annenn and Sophany have provided the best donuts on the Eastside (yes!) through thick and thin. Now, Ms. Donut's landlord is selling the storefront property, forcing Annenn and her family to close their business while recouping nothing from the extensive time and money they have invested in the shop. I'm Kyle - I've been going to Ms. Donut and getting to know Annenn for two years. I'm partnering with them to organize this fundraiser because Annenn and her family should be given time and space to figure out what comes next for them. Without the donut shop, they will lose their entire source of income overnight. With three children and barely a vacation day over the past seven years, Annenn and Sophany deserve a break to figure out how to move forward without immense financial pressure. While we cannot keep the shop open, we are raising this money to provide the necessary space after its closure for this wonderful family to determine their next steps. Please join me in supporting this amazing woman, business-owner, and family, who all have faithfully provided a community space and some outstanding donuts for seven years. I and the surrounding area will miss them deeply, and I hope to thank them for all they've done by easing their financial burden in this new chapter."

Yelp
This was our go to place but for the last 2 weeks they have been closed. There are no signs of this is temporary or permanent. I hope they come back. The owners were always pleasant and gave you extra if you ordered the dozen.

Yelp
I was told they have some awesome Cinnamon Rolls, unfortunately on my AM visit they had none and actually I was not impressed with the selection for a morning visit, though they did have my go to Apple Fritter. Apple Fritter ($1.75) https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/ms-donuts-los-angeles?select=WeNq7L9gyYa8WcbI6vFVlA A bit smaller than your average fritter for the price, would have liked more apples, cinnamon and spice https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/ms-donuts-los-angeles?select=hyUsgtAeBlNKwI3mhlSnhw but flavor was not bad, nothing great either.

Yelp
Old school donut shop with all the goodies. I got a bacon and cream cheese bagel. I heard a lady ask about their savory croissants. She named about 7 flavors. I almost changed my order. But my bagel was so good I almost forgot to take pictures.

Yelp
This place is an absolute institution. In a sea of $15 avocado truffle hemp infused CBD THC MDMA Keto breakfast sandwiches, this place has saved my life many a late morning with their $5.50 breakfast sandwiches. Simple, kind, and perfect, literally reminding me of home. The owners are incredibly kind (pretty sure the only ones who work there as well) and are endlessly valuable members of the community. My bar is across the street and whenever we have meetings or begrudgingly attended deep clean days we grab a box of their donuts and those grudges are simply washed away. Not to mention the late nights closing up at 3am and being able to walk up to the window and grab an incredibly cheap, hot, fresh, and wildly delicious buttermilk donut (seriously, try it and you'll have good luck for the rest of your life.) I have a handful of favorite LA memories at this spot and if anything should happen to it it'll be a devastating loss to the neighborhood. Forget your diet, go buy some donuts.

Yelp
This donut shop is run by a sweet man and his wife. They have two little adorable kids! Great customer service is what keeps me coming back for more when I'm looking to satisfy a donut craving. The donuts are always fresh and doughy in the best way possible. I love their blueberry donuts, their cruellers, their milk bars, but let's be real, all of the donuts are delicious! Very sweet and friendly people who genuinely help to start your day/ week off right! Pay them a visit if you're in echo park or if you live further away, this place is totally worth the drive

Yelp
This is my local donut shop. I've lived here for 20+ years! The owners are super nice and once you go a few times, they know you and greet you by name! They took a long break and went out of the country but they should be back soon! Can't wait!
google avatar

Yelp
This family owned shop has the kindest owners!! The iced coffee is so delicious, for the price of a iced coffee + bagel here I could get just a overpriced coffee from somewhere else. The owners are so sweet; my arm is injured and she asked me to wait in the car so she can bring the items out to me without struggling to hold things. Love you guys! Thank you!
google avatar

Yelp
I come here every day . I think the owners are absolutely wonderful . The baker is crushing it . And the iced coffee is delicious!

Yelp
There aren't many mom & pop donut shops in DtLA. The ones that are charge hipster prices. Ms located on Glendale Blvd just under the Sunset bridge where the "Y" of Glendale Blvd and Alvarado spit serves up no frills doughnuts. I ordered 2 dozen for $9/dz which is a great deal. Not for myself of course. Donuts here are simple but good. Yeast donuts have a nice coating of glaze just enough to satisfy your sugary craving. The family that runs this place is friendly and quick. They threw in two other donuts on the house. If you're in the neighborhood and looking for a fat pill, it's worth a visit.

Yelp
Please support them during Covid - 19. They have been around forever and I LOVE their donuts. Freshly made to the day, so soft/delicious, and great service. There is a Starbucks across the street but their coffee here at Missdonuts is way better. Love them! And will always go here as a local.

Yelp
Yes i guess I'm writing a review for a tiny little donut shop! Happened upon it last night around 1am because I had parked nearby to go to another place in the area. As I was about to head home for the night I was hungry and all I could smell was donuts in the air, so I realized the shop was open! There was man baking fresh donuts in the back so I had to go. He pointed me to the window and he was so cute and nice! I couldn't stop laughing at how adorable his personality was. I saw he had literally just taken some cronuts out of the fryer so I ordered one and he offered to prepare it in whatever flavor icing/topping I wanted - I got original glaze and when I tell you it was the most amazingly light, fresh, and cronut I've ever had. The selection overall looked pretty basic, so I'd probably just return for the freshness!

Yelp
I love this place! Life is an Apple Fritter...so grab it, smell it, eat it! Lick your Lips ... and do it again. Mike

Yelp
Friendly family business! $9 for a dozen, which is very affordable and cheaper than the surrounding donut shops. I bought 2 1/2 dozen to bring for my students and the worker gave me an extra two donuts! I definitely will come back and support my fellow Cambodians. The con is the small parking lot but there's also street parking.

M M.

Yelp
This was my first time trying their donuts. The lady was very welcoming as soon as I stepped in to the store. I tried twisting donut with chocolate covered. It was so soft and will melt in my mouth. I got also a half dozen for my family. I definitely recommend everyone to try this place.

Lacey S.

Yelp
Gosh I love this place! I am new to California and one day looked for somewhere to get my daughter donuts, it sent us here and we haven't stopped coming since. The donuts are always so fluffy and delicious! Our go to favorites are the breakfast sandwiches, whichever one you pick I promise you will enjoy it!

Elizabeth B.

Yelp
I've gone here many times and they always have amazing fresh donuts. The owners are super sweet and friendly. I highly recommend supporting this small owned business!

Yelp
(Snacked 08/19/16 F @ 11:00am): I'm not sorry Ms. Donut...for giving you more exposure! A brief break from my post at the 2016 Echo Park Rising 4-day music event, I craved an apple fritter and sincerely hoped that nearby Ms. Donut was able to fill this need. Since I was a little tyke, this location had always been a donut shop from a Winchell's Donuts for the longest time to other iterations in recent years with this one having been around at least for the four-plus years I've lived in the area. Would I come calling again!?: THE "APPLE FRITTER IS TAKING OVER THE WORLD TOUR" CONTINUED... Apple Fritter ($1.65) - Not that I was an apple fritter snob - fuck it...yes I was! - but there was a certain way I liked mine. First, the price was slightly more than other comparable ones I've eaten. Second, it had some girth and although not the size of my face (an ode to the great Goldstar Donuts) it was bigger than my hand. Third, there were a ton of apple bits in each bite. Fourth, the overall lighter brown color had the resemblance of milky coffee, and the overly-thick glaze was cracking everywhere! There were minimal crunchy odd crannies, corners, and nooks which I liked to break off into small little morsels. Fifth, it wasn't as fresh as I hoped for the time of day so no hints of tiny oil pockets that leaked into your mouth and dripped down your throat. Overall, I've had better and would probably rank them 2nd on my apple fritter list in the immediate area. But at least it was another possible option https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=bSzpXp6C0H-q_uGL7CwVVw&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw. Sprite ($1.00) - A 12 fl. oz. can of caffeine-free carbonated lemon and lime sugary soda brought to you by The Coca-Cola Company. Break it on down for me, Missy Elliot! Service - I was the only customer at the time, so I took my time and cased the offerings slowly like I was walking Amsterdam's Red Light District! The fix I wanted was right in front of me, so I asked for the biggest one, the kind older gentleman obliged and placed it inside a plain white paper bag, grabbed my drink, paid, and I was off in a corner seat to enjoy this little pleasure. All was really good! Parking (Free) - They had a tiny private lot suitable for only a few cars https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=zfqk5nCBX_4T_gpF0Xhe6A&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw. Otherwise, there was plenty of metered and non-metered parking along the main drag of Glendale Blvd. and all surrounding streets; just make sure to read any posted signs. Atmosphere, décor, ambience - A simple rectangular layout with several donut cases lined-up front and center once you entered https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=wxIxV9Otv4kfUdulzHI9KA&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw. The price menu board was directly above said cases while several orange-colored hard plastic booths were directly to your left https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=ytBqcmyd9bcjYDL2FIBllQ&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw. Colorful donut posters lined the light-colored walls. Plenty of natural lighting came through the large glass door and windows that surrounded the eatery while soul-sucking electric fluorescent ceiling lights filled in the rest. There were no TVs, but Top-40 music softly played in the background. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=AlIUw4CYsy5Q6Np_-5_1jg&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw Attire - Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. Overall, I wasn't opposed to visiting Ms. Donut again because they were convenient, and I loved to support the small local mom & pops. However, I felt K & K Donuts a block or so away was a better value. Ms. Donut offered everything all other shops did, so there was no differentiation. The boba lover in me wanted to try that next time along wth a couple other donuts. The service was wonderful. I found very good value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $3.00 BEFORE any discounts or tip). And although they accepted credit cards, not mine of choice...AMEX! 4.0 STARS

Yelp
staying in Echo Park from BK. Rather than waiting for all the same breakfast options at a brunch spot - grab a breakfast sandwich here. The pink with sprinkles is delish!
google avatar

Shannon B.

Yelp
Mom & pop for sure-this place is the real deal! They work hard to keep real donut lovers happy! Amazing fritters, chocolate dipped buttermilk, donut holes for the kiddos-fantastic service & very clean. Family owned for 10 years by the nicest people-prices are really great too. No disappointments here
google avatar

Brian I.

Yelp
I tried all my standard donuts: Buttermilk glazes, buttermilk maple (some places don't have that), chocolate with nuts, and chocolate with cream. I'm pretty happy with the buttermilk donuts since it's the right amount of soft and cakey in the inside and crisp on the outside that I like. Not every place can get it just right, but Ms Donuts does me right, so there we go. In the morning, it's nice, warm, and fresh. Yum.

David E.

Yelp
Easily the best donuts in the neighborhood, and the family that runs it is so kind and wonderful. Love visiting them and grabbing some donuts for my family on a Saturday morning.

Jilianne A.

Yelp
I've been passing by Ms. Donuts for years now and it wasn't until this year that I decided to check them out. So far, I've only gone twice but their customer service is amazing and their donuts are fantastic. Donuts aren't anything fancy, they're your typical, simple donuts but they're so good and they're not overly sweet. I know it doesn't look much from the outside but they're definitely worth checking out. :)
google avatar

Yelp
I live in Los Feliz and all of my local late night donut shops have been replaced by lame things I don't give AF about. The day Ms Donut closes (let this NEVER happen) will be a dark day in my house. I feel like Garcetti could very easily make it a historical landmark, and none of us would ever have to worry about not having amazing donuts right next to the amazing tacos of Taco Zone. I love an apple fritter and any variety of Old Fashioneds and this place delivers in spades. And all the accolades about the lovely, charming man who bakes overnight are legit. He is a national treasure. He always greets me with a "hello, my friend" even though I haven't been there in 4 months. We're all awful people in comparison and don't deserve his laughs and his kindness and fresh fresh 2am donuts. Run don't walk. PS. If you're an apple fritter fan (like me) and maybe you don't want to drive to Echo Park because maybe it's a little farther than you wanna go right now, then the ones at Gelsons on Hyperion are equally next level, but you have to get there at SERIOUSLY 7am, because there's a morning cabal of old people who come take all of them so those of us who saunter in at 11:36am get jack squat. The very nice ladies at Viktor Benes told me after 4 days in a row of no apple fritters at noon. Oh and to that teenage kid who took the last one (and probably didn't even really want it) in his stupid feathered hair and Hollister T-shirt, I hope you flunk all your AP exams. If those still are even a thing. Last part was admittedly off topic. Still, go to Ms. Donut. But not you Trevor, you're the worst.
google avatar

Natalie P.

Yelp
The donuts are so good here. You don't expect it since it's a small mom & pop donut shop. And the ham & cheese croissants are bomb!
google avatar

Josephine A.

Yelp
So, here's the thing... you need to come and try their donuts. I've been coming here for a few years and they are by far the BEST donuts in town! Most local mom and pop shops produce overly greasy not tasty donuts... the donuts here are on another level. I recommend you trying the French Cruller, buttermilk glazed and/or the d fashioned glazed donuts!! They are sooo delicious!!!! They've even made me custom donuts for my daughters birthday celebration late last year! They are sincerely the best in echo park, maybe all of LA! GOOOO NOW!!!!
google avatar

Samantha C.

Yelp
Small place. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE. Yummy doughnuts. Support your local small business! They made me a custom doughnut once at like 12am. HAPPY

Yelp
Absolutely amazing donuts! Also, such a wonderful price on a dozen donut holes - so great to bring to work- everyone will love you! Their donuts are delicious, light, and airy. And their iced coffee is AMAZING. Seriously so good and tasty. Local businesses rock!!

Yelp
Great donut shop. Super fluffy and full of tastiness. Go there and support a yummy local biz!

Yelp
Sometimes I don't give my boyfriend enough credit then there are mornings when we carpool and he remembers random little donut shops I've said I want to try and hops off the fwy in places like Echo Park so I can try a place. These sorts of mornings I remember to cut him a little slack ;) I wasn't overly impressed by the look of things around here at 8A - perhaps I thought things looked a tad bit under frosted. I ordered the chocolate buttermilk and 6 donut holes. I was reminded not to judge a book by its cover but I'm not certain that I didn't lower my expectations due to the appearance of the donuts but my chocolate buttermilk was delightful :) delightful and GONE, within minutes. The donut holes were ok too. It seems I definitely like Mom and Pop donut shops best and while this one doesn't top my donut shop list it's good nonetheless and I surely wouldn't turn down a chocolate buttermilk from here :) Parking lot only had a few spots so we had to pay a meter on the street. Love their Ms Donuts sign - I totally need one of those.
google avatar

Katy C.

Yelp
Great donuts! Lots of variety and good prices. They do take card for $0.65 charge, otherwise they take cash. I enjoy the feel here, very community focused. We love the family-run feel. They have a good variety of other pastries and drinks.

Yelp
I got a dozen donuts for my office today. just because i felt like being fat. I also wanted a ham and cheese croissant. I couldn't make it to my usual donut place next to my house cause i had to stop by the bank in the am so i found this place on my yelp app on my iphone. Hmmmm I don't know if any donut place can be better than the other. All donuts are the same to me. one place isn't necessarily fluffier or tastier, donuts are just donuts. but one thing that sets them apart are the ham and cheese croissants. This place did NOT have the ham and cheese with jalapeno. Most places don't but I was hoping they would since it's in the mexican neighborhood. Their h&c croissant was good, but i kept waiting for the kick which i knew there wasn't going to be any. the cheese was perfect and the ham usually rolled just in the center. The croissant was fluffy and buttery and soft. will i be back? nope cause i need my jalapenos in my ham and cheese croissant.

Eva G.

Yelp
I've been coming here for years, and this is my favorite neighborhood donut shop for buttermilk and old-fashioned donuts. They're not too heavy and not greasy at all -- light and fluffy inside with a golden crunch on the outside. Glazed, chocolate glazed, or just plain -- they're all good! Really friendly service, too, and a cute window on the side in case you decide to stop by during a bike ride.
