MS Polstjerna

This is genuinely a great place to come for a an hour or two. I’ve never been to a museum where you can get so in touch with the exhibit. This is an old boat used to hunt seals, it’s very matter of fact and aims to teach you the reality of what these hunters went through. I loved being able to experience the boat fully, sitting in the kitchen, sleeping in the beds, going below deck, going into the main navigation room and pressing all the buttons! It’s refreshing they let you do that and the experience is amazing because of it!! Really really you should come to see this, I think kids would love this well and the narration on your phone is very good. Don’t forget to go downstairs to see about polar expeditions!!

It cost me around 50 NOK to enter and took almost less than an hour for the trip. It was a small museum and a ship to explore which was used for exploration of North people. Had a nice experience. Would recommend to visit there.

Great ship museum about polar exploration. I loved the exhibit about how Europeans learned to survive from native peoples.

Loved the design. You could choose from indoor visiting or outdoor as the ship is glass wall. They have outside seating if you like to take a break or snack with the view
