I visited a site that features a ski jump used in the Olympic Games.
By purchasing a lift ticket, you can go up to near the top of the jump and look down over the structure.
From there, you can also enjoy a view of the city of Sapporo, which is quite nice, especially on a clear day.
Looking down from above, the height and steep angle of the jump are very clear, and it really makes you think about how incredible it is that athletes launch themselves from such a height and slope.
Even without actually standing on the jump itself, simply viewing it from above is enough to convey the intensity of the sport and the skill of the athletes.
As a sightseeing spot, it doesn’t require a long visit, and it works well as a place to stop by briefly while exploring Sapporo.
For those interested in the Olympics or winter sports, it’s a worthwhile place to check out at least once.
