Mt. Rainier National Park Cabins

This house was the perfect spot for a girls’ weekend getaway to Mt. Rainier! It’s my second time staying in one of the Mt. Rainier houses, and I can’t wait to return for a third time with my family. The space was comfortable, impeccably clean, and thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed for cooking meals. After our snowy adventures, relaxing in the sauna and hot tub was an absolute treat. The property videos were super helpful and gave us a clear idea of what to expect. With a fire pit, BBQ, ample parking, and plenty of space to host a group, this place truly has it all. I booked this place because my son's name is Alexander, Ashford has a special place on my heart as a Thurston county local. There are MANY places to stay here for significantly less cheaper and WAY better customer service. Jared the manager there will not be helpful what so ever and throw the fact that he has 16 years experience in New York hospitality, and that you should have read the fine print, when they charge you almost 300$ for one night, Unfortunately I did not need the reservation and tried calling in-between my busy schedule leaving multiple voicemails to never getting a response. Went online to dispute it with in the allotted 14 day time period, got denied for some reason. & Finally I called Expedia for them to dispute on my behalf, when told that nothing could be done I felt wronged as I felt I have done everything right to avoid this charge. Therefore I called Jared myself to push me towards somebody who can help me sense he stated he isn't the owner, and they are strict on these things, and will not leave a message or give me contact info. I told him that I will leave a review explaining this situation than and his lack of emotional control showed as he hung up on me because I was not impressed with his attempts to belittle me and his ack of customer service. Unfortunate because I was looking forward to this place potentially being a tradition for our family for years and years to come. I know Ashford is a super small town, so I'm sure they will not replace this guy or take this seriously, as they want to look high class and charge top dollar for poor customer service and the decor on the inside does not stand to the old time charm that Ashford gives to this place, Like I said you can do better in Ashford and surrounding areas for half the price and double if not triple the value. As a professional I am absolutely not impressed with this experience and have accepted that I am banned by Jared and out $300. They probably needed it more than I did. God bless 🙏

This is a very large unit with lots of activities and privacy. Kids and adults enjoyed the pool table, indoor basketball, outdoor hot tub, and poker table while it was raining. The owners do stock some staples like salt, pepper, oil, sugars/sweetener, and a spice rack which was nice. They also have washer/dryers and detergent. Place was clean and very close proximity to Rainier National Park. Highly recommend the Ukrainian restaurant within 5 minutes. The place was awesome. Recommend getting food in Tacoma suburbs as local places are poorly stocked and very expensive ($8) for 12 eggs. Added some pictures in Rainier park that were ~45 minutes drive from the unit. Wi-Fi was excellent Con: Minor issue with a couple stove burners lighting which I’m sure the owners will fix. Was not a problem for us since the stove had 5 gas burners

My partner and I spent 2 nights at the Storybook cabin. The cabin: super cute cozy cabin perfect for a romantic getaway. The hot tub was great after a day of snowshoeing! The cabin is only a 5 minute drive from the park entrance, which was really convenient. The cabin was also a short walk to the Nisqually River which was also beautiful. Make sure to go to the Copper Creek Inn for food (specially the cinnamon rolls!) Highly recommend staying here!

This is the most adorable place I have ever stayed! It was well cared for, very clean, well stocked and had great beds, couches and an awesome shower! The location was close to access all that Mt. Rainier has to offer. We had an issue with a window that wouldn't lock, but it was resolved quickly. I will be coming back!

Amazing place that gave a feel of being local even though we are far from it! Stream in the back garden, pines and firs all around, even saw a family of deer! Hot tub was so welcome at the end of the day esp when hiking! Thank you from Australia!

We had a lovely stay at the Mt Rainier Cabins! The cabin was so cozy and warm. The hot tub at the end of a long day of hiking was the best part! We also had deer visit us by the campfire-- it was the best! Highly recommend staying here. Thank you Nikolas & My Rainier Cabin!

Let me say the cabin is nicely located in a quiet, beautiful forest setting, off the highway. The kitchen is nicely furnished with a full size refrigerator, gas stove and microwave hood. The downside is the light in both appliances were burned out and the refrigerator was set so cold the things like hardboiled eggs froze so hard that you couldn't cut them. The bedroom door could not be opened beyond half way because it struck the bed which was a queen size and much to big for the size of the room, you would have to step into the room, close the door then walk around the bed to get into the closet. Very inconvenient to try to get dressed. On to the subject of the water heater, its totally inadequate, my wife showered an hour before me using it sparingly and still it ran out of hot water when I showered. The hooks in the hallway where I tried to hang a wet towel after using the spa had some hooks in use and three of the six hooks were broken off. In the bathroom there was mold and peeling paint on the floor trim. Even the headrests in the spa were broken and kept falling off and floating around the spa. What could have been a good experience with this nice cabin was diminished by lack of attention to detail and neglected maintenance. One last point after being charged many fees for various cleaning, service and pets, I think that your guests should not be asked to take out the garbage and put the cans out on the road while on vacation. What kind of service is that? Sorry for the poor review but it is totally in your power to take care of your business and make sure thing are maintained and in good working condition for your guests.
